The first thing Carmella really notices is how Seth is trembling against her. His hand is trembling where it's resting on her side and he's pale. All in all, she thinks he might be one steady breath away from passing out at her feet. She's not much better, the echo of pain inflicted by Docmon still fresh on her mind, but she grips him tighter, tries to hold on. "Seth, are you ok?" she mutters.
"Yeah," he says, and god, even his voice is weak and shaky.
She frowns and looks around to see who's nearby who might help, just in case, and catches Ziggler's eye. He blinks at her and steps forward, reaching out for Seth, when-
The dust settles, a little, and MetalSeadramon is revealed in the haze, slamming his metalic nuzzle against Docmon's battered midsection, pinning him to the ground. "No more," the angered, mega level digimon informs him coldly. "Never again will I allow you to hurt someone! To hurt Seth!" A rough glow shines from where they are connected and Docmon cries out, lunging out with a needle, that clinks uselessly against MetalSeadramon's side.
MetalSeadramon only seems even more angry at this and snarls, the glow only growing in strength before it engulfs all of Docmon, shredding his needle to little shards of data that drift in the wind before disappearing, followed shortly by the digimon's body itself.
The noise Docmon lets out is pained, disbelieving, and wild with agony. Carmella thinks it will haunt her forever as she and Ziggler still fight to support Seth when he slumps further. "Seth!" she cries out, their self-described leader collapsing at their feet just as Docmon shatters apart and deletes completely.
Ziggler kneels to look at him and she stands there, a hand trembling over her mouth as she realizes. It's over. Docmon can't hurt any of them anymore.
Getting Seth back to Luke's is more of an ordeal than any of them would've expected. He's jumpy, paranoid around Digimon unless it's Betamon, who is resting on Seth's chest, a worried gleam in his deep eyes, but they only have so many options, so he's currently sprawled out on Gryzmon's back, Owens keeping up wtih his partner as best as he can. "S'ok," he keeps saying, no one sure if he's saying it to keep Seth relaxed, or just as moral support for his partner. "You're doing really well. Almost there."
They all breathe easier when they're at the portal, and even more so when they're at Luke's and he's bustling around, doing what he can for both Carmella and Seth, the others forced to sit back and watch. Wait and hope for the best.
