Metal Greymon X-Antibody is the most horrifying thing Drake Maverick thinks he's ever seen. Unnaturally smooth, orange flesh, glinting metal armor surrounding the creature's face and chest, spikes of bright blue wings bursting from its back. Roaring loud enough to shake the surrounding area, and horrible power with each attack he sends out. Ciampa, Dakota, Barrett and he can do nothing but stand and gape as missiles are shot out, right at them.
Barrett snaps out of it pretty quickly, however. "Shakamon!" he calls to his partner, who twists overhead to impart that she's listening. "Overwhelm it, make it stop!"
Acknowledging Wade's request, she lunges forward, the power swirling around her growing in strength and speed as MetalGreymon twists to look at her, missiles shifting to target her directly. She, however, remains unfazed, and as the missiles strike against her shields, she raises her arms and begins forming a golden circle, murmuring under her breath.
Drake watches on in awe as Dakota and Ciampa turn to Wade, curious. "What is she doing?" Dakota finally whispers as the gold spinning from her fingers solidify.
Wade smirks. "Oh, you'll see. Give it just a moment."
Still ignoring MetalGreymon's steadily frustrated attacks, Shakamon breathes deeply and looks up, eyes glowing the same gold as the circular item floating before her. "Light of the Spider's Thread," she intones, the halo leaving her and floating serenely towards MetalGreymon. Settles over his head, spreads healing, golden light over him, and immediately he... stops. Stares at her uncertainly and she waits, patiently.
The power of the halo supersedes the virus within that had twisted him into this creature, steadily deleting all of the corrupted and soothing what remains of the pure data holding him together.
Drake gapes, watching on, and then turns to look at Wade. "Why isn't this done to all digimon?" he wonders. "So many could be saved..."
"If it were that simple," Wade sighs. "Shakamon would overextend herself if she tried. As it is, she's going to be suffering just from doing it this once. It takes a great deal of power." As if to prove his words, barely has the process finished, MetalGreymon left staring at them in confusion before taking to the skies, escaping all of this, has Shakamon glowed brightly, and then hit the ground, a small baby type digimon laying in her place.
Wade marches forward and collects his partner as Drake watches on. "Well, still," he murmurs. "It's an impressively strong ability." He joins Wade after a moment and, at his silent nod, lightly strokes Moonmon's head, watching as the small creature twitches and struggles against the agony of using so much power. "Thank you for putting a stop to his rampage," he tells her softly, hoping she can hear him.
