Shinsuke opens his eyes sluggishly. Everything hurts. He's not sure where he's at, or what happened to Coronamon. All he knows is it's shadowy and quiet wherever they're being held at, and Xavier is just within reach if he stretches his foot out. Unfortunately, the younger man is motionless, completely out against the wall, and even nudging him in the leg doesn't do enough to stir him.

Shinsuke drops back against the floor with a beleaguered sigh and looks around, hopeful for some clue, or hint, or something as to what's happening, where they're at. Anything. He's still gazing around when he hears a loud scraping sound, probably a door opening, and immediately closes his eyes, hoping he hadn't been caught yet. Perhaps they could catch their captor off guard if he was unaware that at least one of them was conscious. At least he hopes so.

The room is too shadowy for him to figure out what's happening, but he can sense the other digimon's presence, and it's none too welcoming. He holds his breath and listens as best as he can, more scraping and thuds leaving him disoriented and confused as to what's happening. Then, suddenly, there's a pressure against his foot and he risks opening his eye to find Xavier looking back at him. He shakes his head vehemently and pointedly closes his eyes, so Xavier drops back down and pretends to be unconscious still, Shinsuke releasing a faint breath before resuming doing the same.

He thinks it works until a voice bursts through the silence. "I know you are awake, digidestined. You cannot fool me."

After that, everything goes from bad to worse.
