Shinsuke isn't sure how to feel. Things had fallen apart so quickly, all of the Digidestined abducted, suffering to get free, to defeat the evil of Ancient Wisemon. Yes, they had survived, and they're back on earth, now, but he's still tired, more than a little off-balanced.

It had not helped that, on his first match back, Boogs had gotten injured seriously and would be out for months. "It is all my fault," he informs Coronamon. "If I had been stronger a a digidestined, Ancient Wisemon would have had no chance. If I had been more prepared as a tag partner, Boogs would not have gotten injured."

"You take too much on yourself, Shinsuke," Chronomon tells him gently. "I understand, you have been digidestined the longest, but even you are simply human. As Digidestined, and in the wrestling ring. Bad things happen, it;s what you do now that will make all the difference. Learn from mistakes made, and be there for the digidestined, be a good friend to Boogs as he recovers. That's all you really can do. You know?"

"I know you're right," Shinsuke says after a long, tense moment of staring out into the distance, watching from the balcony of his apartment as the sun slowly sets, casting a faint purple glow over his skin and hair. "It is still not easy, however. I feel... I feel like a failure in a number of ways right now. I cannot help anyone, and it hurts me."

Chronomon sighs, pressing close to his partner. "You help us just by being here. Supporting us. Making sure we all get what we need. I don't think you even realize it, even your presence is enough to help us. Trust me, if anyone knows, it'd be me."

Shinsuke sighs. Reaches out and strokes a hand over Choronomon's back gently. "Thank you, my friend. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day and I will actually believe the things you say."

Chronomon smiles sadly and digs his claws gently into Shisnuke's sleeve. "I hope so," he says softly.
