"I don't understand," Xavier says softly, looking up overhead. "What is even happening?"
"Valdurmon," Shinsuke says, also staring upwards. "It is... it is poisoned with darkness."
"What is it?" Xavier wonders. "What kind of darkness?"
"My best guess,' Shinsuke says. "The data in the ocean. It is infecting the digimon. Virus energy, it is overwhelming the good. Valdurmon has absorbed too much, and it has turned to evil."
"Isn't that what Dolph Ziggler was investigating not that long ago?" Xavier asks, frowning intently as he examines the wall of clouds overhead.
"Yes, but I think he didn't get too far with it," Shinsuke says slowly. "We have to try to contact him, let him know. He perhaps would like to help with this."
"Yeah," Xavier sighs, fiddling with his digivice. "But in the meanwhile, what do we do? He's off on that stand up tour and he won't be available for who knows how long."
"Yes," Shinsuke muses. "But it's a start." He pulls his digivice out and thumbs it for a few moments before looking up once more at the sky overhead. "Perhaps he will remember something that will help us in his research."
"One can hope," Xavier sighs, typing rapidly with his two thumbs and eventually formulating enough of an acceptable response that he eventually decides it's good enough and sends it along. Looking up at Shinsuke, he half-smiles. "And now we wait, I guess."
"And now we wait," Shinsuke agrees with a brisk nod as they turn their wide eyes once more skyward to keep an eye on the creature writing above them..
