Wade is barely moving on the ground, Legado surrounding him, far from sure what to do, where to go. Del Toro and Joaquin are leaning close to Elektra, trying to shield her from Assaultmon's approach, and he sneers at them, guns aimed at their prone forms. "Don't," Joaquin mumbles, digging his nails into Del Toro's suit and trying to drag him backwards towards something resembling safety.

Elektra scrambles back, digging her heels into the dirt, and trying to make more space between them and Assaultmon. His guns are dangerous, aimed steadily on them, and all they can do is stare back into them in horror. "I don't want to die," Elektra whimpers, burying her face into Del Toro's side.

"I don't either," Joaquin mumbles, not even caring about the grime and dirt staining his clothes. "I don't- Robert will never forgive me if I leave him without saying goodbye..." But there's nothing for it, they can only sit there and watch as Assaultmon prepares his attack, a vicious snarl building in his throat as he aims at them.

Before the group of new digidestined could say or do anything else, there's a flash of bright light and Wendy Choo swirls around to look, gaping. Wade is only just conscious, holding his digivice out as Lunamon lunges forward, growing. Digivolving. "SHAKAMON!" she cries out, writhing around and turning to glower at Assaultmon.

Wade's wheezing just to breathe as the battle between the two powerful digimon picks up.

Wendy takes the opportunity to scramble over to him. "Wade," she cries out. "Wade, look at me." But he doesn't, only just lulling in her hands. "Oh my god."

Shakamon and Assaultmon's attacks meet in midair, and the resulting explosion sends them all flying across the ground. "Oh shit," Joaquin pants, looking up. "What's happening?"

Shakamon is trembling, Assaultmon looks close to collapse, but neither are quite done yet. Blasting another shot at Shakamon, Assaultmon takes a solid blast to the chest. Both of them get hit full on, and Shakamon immediately drops to her knees. "No, no-" Wade moans, barely able to keep his eyes open long enough.

"Shit," Del Toro gasps as Assaultmon staggers forward, guns still held up but starting to crumble in his grip.

His data scatters faster, blowing upon the wind, and it's like a domino affect- he shatters into pieces of fragments all of a sudden and all the digidestined can do is gape in awe.

Shakamon is the only digimon remaining, and then- then... She dedigivolves to Lunamon before sinking down next to Wade. "I'm sorry," she cries out. "I... Wade..." Tears pouring down her face quickly, all she can do is flutter helplessly by his lifeless side. "I..."

"Lunamon?" Elektra asks softly, picking her up and holding her close. "Lunamon?"

The digimon lulls in her arms, struggling just to breathe. "Wade, I... I love you," she says mindlessly. "You were... are... the best partner I could've asked for... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry I've failed you..."

Elektra struggles to think of an answer that would sound like something Wade would say, but it's too late. Lunamon shatters, deletes right in her arms, Wade still unmoving on the other side of Elektra. "No," she breathes out., the data steadily pouring between her fingers "No, no, no. I'm so sorry."
