The digiport trip only takes a few moments but those are some of the most nerve wracking the digidestined have ever had. Mox, PAC, Matt Rehwoldt and Heath land off-balanced, coming very close to Heath nearly taking them all down. "Where do we start?" Matt wonders, peering at his phone curiously.

"The nearest village is just to the left," Mox says, examining his digivice map. "We can start there, I guess."

It takes time, searching villages one by one, but they are somewhat relieved to see most standing, unharmed, and Matt breathes a little easier as they make it to the fifth village and- freeze, the sky overhead turning dark.

"What's happening?" Heath wonders, his eyes widening as he peers up in shock. "Guys, I'm- this... isn't looking good. What did we do?"

"I don't think we did anything," Mox says, brows furrowing into a deep frown as he watches the clouds darkening even further, sharp, blinding lightning streaking through the sky. "I think this is what Luke was trying to warn us about."

They're still frozen, staring up at the sky, when more blasts of lightning slam down, rattling the ground and knocking everyone off-balanced. "Oh my god," Mox chokes out, taking in the villages nearby, once standing untouched, and now smouldering and razed to the ground with the force of the electricity.

"How? They were fine just seconds ago," Heath gasps, tugging at his hair while he struggles to understand what he's seeing. "We just visited them..."

"Guys," Matt says, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood. No one looks, too distracted with horror by the rubble of the former villages scattered before them. "GUYS!" Finally they look over at him and he points up, their eyes widening even further.

"What is that?" Mox breathes out as something large writhes within the dark clouds overhead, slowly pushing through the weighty storms to peer down at them. "What is that?!"

"Darkness Bagramon," Otamamon gasps. "Mox, we're... we're in trouble... I don't think... there's a chance to defeat this..."

Mox stares down at him, eyes dark and huge against his pale face. "Fuck."
