Wade sits vacantly, staring out of the window. He's recovered, mostly, struggling to hide it from his duties in NXT and thinking he's mostly succeeded, although he's made a few tweets that had people curious and a little bit concerned. But there's an emptiness deep in his soul, the loss of Lunamon leaving him aching. He can't even remember her last moments, most things about that fight now a blur as he sits and twists his digivice between his fingers. He's unable to lead anymore, and Legado Del Fantasma as a whole has left NXT, and he finds their number has once more been reduced by circumstances beyond his control.

Wendy doesn't like him, and he her, but she had been with Lunamon in her last moments, and Wade finds himself struggling against his feelings whenever he thinks about it. She visits him too, sometimes looking sleepy and still in her pajamas, but she's there, sometimes just content to sit with him. Sometimes she even drifts to sleep, pressed against his arm, and he turns and watches her instead of the clouds slowly trailing past in the sky overhead. He knows they should start over, go to Luke, find replacements for the four members of Legado, but he feels numb. He can't imagine returning to the Digiworld.

Until the day Wendy comes to him and hands him Bommon. Wade frowns down at the baby digimon, bouncing it lightly up and down in his hands when it starts to fuss, staring up at him with startled eyes. "What is this?" he asks quietly.

"That is my baby digimon partner," Wendy tells him cheerfully. "And you are doing great with her, like I knew you would. So now, here's what we're going to do-" She grabs Wade's free hand and pulls him up right.

"Wait, what are you-" He grits his teeth and pulls back, stopping her. "I am not going to the Digiworld," he warns her.

"Yeah, you are," she says simply. "You need it, and honestly so do I."

"I don't have a partner," he says tiredly. "I'm no good to anyone there, much less you. I can't lead without Lunamon."

"And that's why we're going to get Lunamon back," Wendy says with a smirk, dragging him towards the laptop that usually gets used as a host for the digiport. "Now come on, or are you really going to make me force you to go?"

He stares at her for a long, tense moment, before exhaling grimly. "Lead the way," he mumbles.

She nods briskly and does so, holding her digivice out.

"DIGIPORT OPEN!"
