Seth stares down Darkness Bagramon as he kneels down next to Mox and rests a hand on his back, feeling his stuttering breath under the thick leather of his vest. "Can you stand?" he asks, lightly shaking him. "Can you fight?"
"Stupid question," Mox grits out. "I can always fight. Get me up."
Seth nods grimly, hooking a hand under Mox's arm and tugging him upright. "MetalSeadramon," he calls out.
Mox rolls his shoulders, rotates his neck until it pops satisfyingly. "Plesiomon," he adds in, reaching up to brush his fingers over the slick side of his partner's body.
The water digimon hover near their partners, staring down Darkness Bagramon, exchanging glances. "You are even stronger by the presence of the Dark Ocean," Plesiomon observes, a little anxiety bleeding through into his tone.
"Seth," Metal Seadramon says slowly. "I think if we are to have a chance to defeat him, we have to fuse evolve."
"Do you think you can do that?" Seth mumbles to Mox.
"Yeah, of course I can," he huffs. "Let's do this thing."
"No, take a minute," Seth snaps back. "You were on the brink of unconsciousness when I arrived. I'm not risking both of our partners on an of course from you."
"Always the statistician," Mox sighs, picking at his jaw with a mulish look. "Plesiomon, do you think you can fuse?"
"Yes, Mox," his partner calls back.
"Well, we're on the same page about that," Mox informs Seth with a smirk. "Are you?"
"What do you think, MetalSeadramon?" Seth calls out.
"It's our only real option, Seth," Metal Seadramon says.
"Alright," Seth sighs. "Let's do it." He turns to Mox, holding his digivice out.
Mox meets him halfway, a challenging glint in his eye. "Fusion evolution, activated," he calls out, feeling the power of his crest building and building until it links up with Seth's digivice, the separate beams of energy spiraling together until they slam into their partners.
Seth then moves to stand shoulder to shoulder with Mox, watching as Aegsdramo reappears in the sky for the first time in a very long time. "Ready to do this, then?" he asks, glancing over.
"Always," Mox says, not betraying any weakness or hesitancy as they turn to face off against Dark Bagramon.
