David's eyes fluttered open; his head feeling like a over ripe melon ready to explode. He grunted as he sat himself upright.
"He finally joins us" he hears the familiar voice.
He sees the glimmering shine of his sword, grabbing it in one swift move he had the blade against his captors throat.
Regina did not flinch instead her shoulders slumped as she muttered something about should have left him to freeze
"Where are we!" The prince demanded answers.
Regina sighed in irritation "look around Shepard" she said as she moved her eyes left to right, not forgetting about the sword to her throat "in the woods somewhere, clearly!"
David's arm relaxed slightly in shock "the enchanted forest. It wasn't destroyed"
"Evidently so" Regina closed her eyes, breathing in deeply before exhaling "now Shepard either kill me or put the sword down before you hurt yourself"
"Is that a threat?"
Regina sighed heavily before pushing the sword aside herself "think. If I wanted you dead you'd already be dead. If anything you should be thanking me for saving you. Now how is that head dear?"
David grunted as he dropped the sword to his side "fine" he rubbed his head "why didn't you let me die? I'm sure it wasn't out of the kindness of your heart. Do you even have a heart?"
Regina glared "you're right. I didn't leave you for dead because I need you" she explained "my magic is yet to return and I need to get back to Henry. And if you think you can return without my assistance you will be surely mistaken"
"So we have to work together"
"Stop reminding me Shepard. The thought alone is making me sick"
"My name is David" he corrected.
"Sure be whoever you want to be. I still know what you are?"
"Oh is that so Evil Queen we all know who and what you are"
Regina laughed to herself "you don't know me at all dear. But keep thinking you do. If that helps you sleep at night.
David huffed "yes I sleep soundly with the Evil Queen watching over me. I'm sure" he quipped sarcastically.
