Author's Note: Merry Christmas everyone! I'm sorry for no updates these past few weeks, but I was finishing up my last fall semester of college. So lots of finals, and then my college football team went to a bowl game, and since I'm in the marching band, I had to go to that. Did not have a whole lot of time to work on anything, nor did I have the ability to post last weekend. That being said, it is a bit of a shorter chapter today, sitting at around 2500 words rather than 4k. I wanted to get more done, but I just couldn't do that without making it happen tomorrow instead of today. I hope to have more for you guys next week!

Also, if you want to get into a place with other lovers of MHA, and specifically IzuJirou stuff, come on and join this Discord server that I'm on:

We're only kind of crazy, and not at all a cult... except, we also kind of are. Anyway, yeah, join that!

I hope you enjoy this chapter! It's cross-posted on Ao3 as well. Leave a review if you want to. I welcome the feedback! See you next week.

"Well, that was easy." Kyouka said, standing above several unconscious bodies.

"Yeah, honestly compared to Stain, these goons were a cakewalk." Hitoshi said as he stretched his neck.

"Let's not get cocky, alright?" Izuku walked up to the two of them and patted them on the back. "They were easy this time, but that doesn't mean that they'll always be this easy."

"Right, right." Hitoshi nodded. "We should leave the egg and get out of here soon." He looked outside of the building's windows to see the sunset through the colors of the sky.

"It's set!" Mei said, walking back towards them. "I don't know why all of the villain organizations meet in dingy little buildings. At least ours looks nice inside."

"Not everyone has the resources we do, Overwatch. Now, let's move out." Izuku said, motioning to the twin doors of the small building. The five of them left the building a few moments before the Egg went off. They were able to hear the paint splatter. As they left, they jumped into the nearest alleyway, climbed over a chain link fence, and moved through another three alleyways before Kyouka stopped, causing Izuku to look back at her. "What's up, Heartquake?"

Kyouka raised her jack to her left. "There's someone following us." Turning around, she put her jacks in her gauntlets and pointed them forward. "Who are you, and what do you want from us?"

A single lone figure stepped forward, their appearance shocking all of them. Before them stood another high school aged student: a girl with blonde hair put up in ponytails and dressed in a high school uniform of some kind. Her clothes were somewhat bloody, her fanged smile adorned her face, and the way that her golden eyes glinted with just the slightest hint of sadism unnerved them slightly. "Hiiiiiiii!" She drew out the word for a few seconds. "I'm surprised that you were able to detect that I was here and following you." Her eyes darted between each of them, staying a somewhat uncomfortably long amount of time on Izuku.

The five of them took up fighting stances directed at the newcomer. Izuku spoke up. "Who are you?" He repeated slower. "And what do you want from us?"

"Oh, right, right! Sorry! That's my bad!" Her smile grew wider. "My name is Himiko Toga, and I want to join you guys!"

What was really a few seconds of silence seemed to drag on for minutes for each of the five members.

"Why would you want that?" Fumikage was the first to speak.

"Because Mr. Stain approved of you!" She said nonchalantly like that was the only thing that mattered.

"Next question: Why should we let you join us?" Hitoshi spoke next.

"Because I can help you. You don't even know what my quirk is!" Toga responded, the smile still on her face. Izuku's eyebrow raised in curiosity underneath his mask. The prospect of her quirk did stoke his inner quirk fanatic, but he couldn't let himself nerd out on this new quirk. Not yet.

Thankfully, he didn't have to ask as Mei spoke next. "And what would that be?"

"I can drink people's blood and transform into them!" She said with a smile. Once again, silence fell over the group. Although Izuku's outward visage was that of calm and stoic composure, on the inside, his mind was going a mile a minute.

"What are the possible uses of this quirk? The versatility for deception, stealth, and so much more… It is truly a useful quirk, but…"

After a few seconds, Izuku finally spoke. "I… I don't think that we can let you join…" All things considered, the other four were a bit taken aback by Izuku's statement, but Toga seemed to take it the worst. Her face then turned very serious, and her chipper voice that she had spoken with previously dissolved into a growl seething with heavily apparent vitriol.

"Oh? Is it because of my quirk? Does it scare you because it relies on me drinking blood?"

The five members of the group deadpanned, although Toga couldn't see it due to their masks. Even though they didn't know Izuku's reasons entirely, they all knew that it had nothing to do with the girl's quirk.

"No, it's not because of your quirk." Izuku said, stepping forward. "Quirks are the whole reason that we're doing this. A lot of us have been told for years that our quirks weren't fitting to be heroes. That they're too villainous or that they're too weak to be heroic. That those of us with quirks that don't fit the mold aren't able to be heroes. Quirk discrimination is a very real thing, abd we want to change that."

Toga took a step forward, gesturing to herself. "Then why can't I be one of you?! You don't think I don't want to be judged for my quirk?" Her voice started to get louder and higher pitched as she spoke.

"It's because we don't know you, and you don't know us. We don't know what you as a person are like. What kind of group would we be if we just let in everyone so easily?" That answer seemed to appease the rest of the group, but Toga wasn't as accepting.

"I don't need to know everything about you to know that Mr. Stain said that you're true heroes!" She defended.

"You keep saying his name like that. How do you know Stain?" Hitoshi asked.

"I was… I was his student, his follower, for a brief time. He taught me how to fight. Among a lot of other things. But his words mean a lot to me, and if he's willing to see what you're fighting for, then I am too!" Toga said with confidence.

Izuku didn't know what to say. For one, this was a golden opportunity to expand their ranks with a willing member who was taught by the toughest person they've fought so far. On the other hand, they knew nothing about each other. Izuku didn't want to trust her just yet. But no, now that he thought about it, it wasn't Izuku that didn't want to trust her. It was Snake Eyes. Something he thought that he had worked on, but it seemed he still had trouble with the issue of separating himself from this persona or not. But that was something to be worked on again later. Now, he had a different concern that he needed to focus on.

"I understand what you're saying…" Izuku started. "But I need to speak with the others before any decisions are made. You've made some good points, and that's opened my mind to the possibility, but I'm still not sold." He looked around to his group, and their posture didn't seem to betray any one specific emotion, which, in his mind, showed they were at least somewhat open to the idea.

"Fine. Talk about it. I'll be around." Toga said as she started to turn around.

"Wait." Mei said, stopping the girl in her tracks. Toga turned around, her eyebrow raised. "Do you have a phone at all?"

Toga slowly took out a really old looking flip phone and handed it to Mei. "This is all that I have… I don't know why I kept it. It doesn't work anymore. I don't have any service."

"Well," Mei said with a smirk that could be heard from behind her mask. "I can get you set up on our private network for communication with us. If you'd like, anyway."

Toga's face once again lit up like it had been when they first began talking. "I would love that! Thank you!" She started bouncing up and down on her toes slightly. After a bit of time passed, Mei handed the phone back to Toga, who, in turn, took it with very visible excitement.

"This should work. I've set up a group chat with all six of us in it. For now, that will be how we communicate with you." Mei said.

"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! Mr. Stain was right! I'm so happy I found you guys. I can't wait to see what we do together!" Toga's outburst surprised all of them to the point of a somewhat awkward silence.

Izuku was the first to speak. "R-Right. Well, like Overwatch said, we'll be using that to contact you once a decision has been made."

Toga bowed rather respectfully, and then stood up just as fast as she bowed. "I will be awaiting your decision!" And with that, she seemed to slip into the shadows of the alleyway and vanish.

"Let's uh… Let's head back." Hitoshi said after Toga left. The other four members of the group nodded and turned around to continue on their original path before they were interrupted again. Thankfully for them, the mission they had just completed was relatively close to their base, so they didn't have too long to travel. The trip, however, was made in relative silence, as each of them had their own thoughts spinning through their head.

As soon as they stepped through the door to their warehouse and took their masks off, however, the floodgates that kept everyone's thoughts contained seemed to open at the same time.

"What do we do?" Mei asked.

"Should we trust her?" Hitoshi asked.

"Her quirk seems useful." Fumikage said.

"I don't like the way she was looking at Izu…" Kyouka said a little bit too loudly Everyone stopped and looked at her.

"You are way too jealous for your own good, Kyouka." Mei deadpanned.

Kyouka's face lit crimson as she turned away from the rest of the group. "So what? I like my man, and I want him to myself!"

"... Anyway…" Mei started. "What do we do? Surely we can't just let her join us, right?"

"Well maybe not immediately, but you can't deny that she would be helpful with us doing our missions." Hitoshi said.

"I don't trust her." Kyouka said firmly.

"Well, you ARE biased as hell, Kyouka." Mei said

"Shut the hell up, Mei!" Kyouka retorted.

"Back to the subject at hand…" Fumikage spoke up. "I believe I might have a solution to our conundrum." Everyone immediately looked his way. "I believe that we could give her a trial period, and if she performs well, we could make her a full time member." He finished.

"That's a really good idea, Fumikage. I… I can't believe I didn't think of that." Mei said.

"I agree. It's a good idea." Izuku said. "All in favor?" Everyone but Kyouka's hand raised. Izuku raised an eyebrow. "All opposed?" Kyouka was the only one to raise her hand. Izuku sighed. "Kyo… Are you actually opposed, or are you just being a little jealous?"

Kyouka sighed. "Fine, we can give her the trial period, but if she does something weird, I'm going to rub it in your face for the rest of your life that I was right."

"I'll take that deal. How many missions do we want to give her on a trial period?" Izuku asked.

"Well, we could do three missions. One big group mission with her in it, one mission with her, Izuku, and Kyouka, and then one mission with Hitoshi and Fumikage. Thoughts?" Mei suggested.

"Where do you fit in?" Hitoshi asked.

"I'll actually be doing the job that I'm supposed to in the group, being the information person as well as the getaway driver if we need it. I'll be a part of every mission, technically." She sat down at her computer and booted it up. "Excuse me for a second, I'll be doing something, and I need to focus." With that, she turned around and went to work on her computer.

Izuku took his phone out and texted the group chat that Mei had made.

Snake Eyes: Alright, Toga. We're willing to give you a chance. You'll go on three missions with us, and if things go well, you can join us.

Himiko Toga has joined the chat

Toga: Hiiii! Thank you for this opportunity! I will be so good, I swear. I will be a great addition to your team!

Heartquake: Just don't do anything that will hurt us, and you should be fine.

Toga: You won't regret this! I'm gonna start designing my costume right now!

Izuku shook his head. "I hope this is the right thing to do."

"You and I both, Izu." Kyouka said, wrapping her arms around Izuku's.

"Alright!" Mei said, standing up. "I've done it."

"Done what?" Hitoshi asked.

"I've made it so that everyone that I make a communication link with will have their location tracked. We know where Toga is now, and we can keep track of her throughout the day."

"Where is she now?" Izuku asked.

Mei turned to her computer, typed something, and then watched the screen. Graphics swirled, and a few moments later, there was a map. A red circle pinged on the screen. "That's strange. She appears to be in an alleyway nearby. Not sure if she followed us or what, but she's close. I guess it's just something to keep in mind." Mei shrugged and went back to work.

"Damnit!" Shouta yelled. "They got these guys too?" He saw the paint mark of Societas Requiem on the wall. All things considered, he was happy that these criminals were taken down, but if he was really being honest, he was getting tired of his own jobs being taken by this new group. More than anything, he wanted to meet these people so that he could help them. Get them out of vigilantism and into actual Hero work.

He needed to find them. And if he maybe got to his target an hour earlier, he probably would have seen them and been able to talk to them. That's what bothered him most. He was all for punctuality, but he wasn't fast enough.

For now, though, he had to report back. He pulled his phone out and dialed Nezu. After a few dial tones, he heard the chimera's voice on the other end of the line. "Yes? What is it, Aizawa?"

"They did it again. Another mark of mine has been taken out by Societas Requiem."

"Ohoho, this is getting very interesting to watch unfold. I take it you have an idea of what you need to do moving forward?" Nezu asked.

"Yes, I do." Shouta responded.

"Good. Then do it. I'm looking forward to hearing your next update." Nezu said before he hung up.

Sighing, Aizawa sat down on the roof across from where his mark was taken out and held his head in his hands. "This is getting annoying. Oh well. With that, I can move on with my patrol. I doubt they're still in the area, but I can look for them." He waited a few more minutes before standing up and heading Southwards. If he was going to find them, he hoped that he would be able to talk to them.
