Here is the newest chapter. Lets see how Ignus is dealing with the goofy ol Sisu lol

Chapter 6 – Orange and blue

He just wanted to get food as fast as he could. If the maker is trying to pull some kind of joke, this cooky lady who calls herself Sisu just would not leave Ignus alone. Oh the Irony. He finds himself being dragged around by Sisu through the garden-forest town resembling a village around the market.

No matter how much Ignus tries to get her to let him go, her grip proves to be as strong as a golem. At least he could see lots of food at the stalls now. It is mostly seafood or fruits and vegetable. These people must not be big fans of red meat.

"Hehehe, see anything you like?" Sisu speaks catching Ignus off guard.

He flinches before replying, "Just seeing a lot of vegetation and raw fish. But no sign of red meat."

"Red Meat?"

"You know; cows, pigs, sheep meat." Ignus describes to Sisu who only gives him an awkward look.

"Yeeeaaah, if you are looking for that kind a stuff, Heart is not the best place."

"Heart?" Ignus gives Sisu a brow. "Is that where I am?"

"One of the most peacefull nation of Kumandra," Sisu boasts as the pair approaches a fruit stand.

"Peaceful? Yeah right," Ignus mutters quietly follow by saying, "Kumandra? As in a continent?"

"BINGO!" Sisu hops in excitement and takes out a parchment of sorts and show Ingus a map of a river shaped as a creature he is not familiar with. First Sisu points to the one with an island.

"Right now we are in heart." She guides her finger to other parts. "The on the head is Fang, the one the back is Spine. The rear talon is well Talon. Then finally there is Tail."

Sheesh, so there is five kingdoms in this strange land Ignus guesses in his mind. He is surprised that he has flew to another continent of sorts. How far did he fly trying to out fly the dragons?

"That sounds interesting," Ignus nervously states as he takes a quick look around the emerald jade town with people just passing by being friendly. Then he looks up to make sure it is still night time.

"Uhhhh you ok freaky dude?" Sisu asks looking at him with a curious look and tilts her head like an owl. "You look like as if you are hiding from someone?"

"What! Nononono just making sure things are ok" Ignus deflects while waving his hands

With a giggle Sisu says, "Why don't you put that hood down if your not hiding?"

With a smirk and a hand to her hip, Sisu uses one of her hands to flick Ignus' hood down making him freak out. He quickly bends down and put his hood up before anyone sees his face.

"DON'T DO THAT!" he barks madly.

"Why not if you not hiding anything?" Sisu questions sounding smug.

"I…I" Ignus struggles to come up with an answer. An idea pops in his head. He looks around the crowd. If they never seen a person like him before, maybe they think he is ugly by their standards.

"Very Ugly! Yes, I am so ugly that everyone who sees me will have their eyes explode." He makes a dramatic explode pose hoping Sisu gets his point. The latter only laughs so hard.

"That is a good one first of all. Also, I don't think you be that ugly." Sisu counters crossing her arms.

"by you…Kumandrian standards I am!" Ignus insists, content with his idea without smiling crossing his own arms.

"Ive seen lots of ugly foks before dude. If I could handle them, maybe I could handle your supposed ugliness too." Sisu dares twilling and pointing her finger at him.

"Believe me Sisa, you don't want to see my face."

"It's Sisu first of all. And please trust me" Sisu pleas.

"Trust? Excuse me I just me-" Ignus sees Sisu doing the adorable sad puppy pout expression. Dear lord she looks adorable. He takes one unease gaze at the stange fruit at the stand to his right before he slowly puts his hood down with his eyes closed.

He opens his yellow eyes to see Sisu looking at him with amazement before saying, "You call that ugly?! Strange looking yeah but dude you are a good looker."

Ignus is taken aback while Sisu walks around him. The people nearby in the market place begin to take notice to see the pale skinned young man with glowing orange fire hair and unslanted eyes. They are all amazed at the sight of him by the way they gasp. Even the shop keeper at the stand drops his jaw at the unique look at Ignus.

"Spirits of my ancestors that man looks like he has never been in the sun before" A man states.

"Mommy, what is wrong with that man's eyes?" a little Kumandrian girl asks her mother pointing at Ignus. The mother scolds the girl for assuming she is making fun of Ignus's appearance.

More people begin to gang up on him slowly due to not seeing a human like him before. One Kumandrian man asks if he is from Spine. A few young Kumandrian women flirts on Ignus's appearance. And more keep asking about himself.

It is just as he feared. Unwanted attention. Ignus is beginning to sweet from his forehead. His heart beats fast due to nervousness. Then his anger begins to swell at the annoyance. He is about shout until Sisu jumps infront of him and spouts, "Hey hey hey, everyone! Give this guy space. He probably had a great journey getting here so please go about your days and leave him to me."

"But miss Sisu, we never seen a guy like him," a small girl asks. Ignus gives Sisu a strange brow. Did that girl just address Sisu like some kind of nobility. Maybe that coocoo lady must be important in this Kumandra.

"I understand you want a chance to make new friends but give him some time ok?"

With that everyone went back to their routines. Ignus still looked a bit paralyzed by the attention he never wanted. He is debating whether or not to thank Sisu. Not like it really matters anyway. Speak of the demon, Sisu turns her gaze at him with a proud look on her face and asks, "don't I get a thank you?"

"Um yeah, thanks I guess," Ignus relunctedly replies before reaching into his carrier bag and takes out a gold nugget. When he shows it to the shop keeper he asks, "How much will gold stone be worth?"

The Shop keeper looks at the stone with amazement. As if he never seen such a color. "Heavens graces, is that gold?"

Ignus nods.

"Our currency in Kumandra is jades," the shop keeper show Ignus his jade colored stones. "However, I would like to trade at least fifty jades for that golden stone."

Ignus looks to Sisu wondering if he would accept it. Sisu only shrugs. Desperate to buy food, Ignus accepts the deal and traded his gold nugget for fifty jades, allowing him to purchase a bag full of the strange fruit.

"Guess I got what I needed, I better head ba-" Ignus gets interrupted by Sisu's sudden rush in front of him.

"Leaving so soon? Why don't we celebrate your first purchase in Kumandra at a nice canteen? My treat." Sisu gives Ignus a few nudges with her elbow.

"I appreciate you hospitality but I really need to-"

"Aww come oooon buddy. I think you owe me for getting you little fan club away from yah."

Sisu makes a good point. As much as Ignus wants to be away from her as soon as possible, he did owe her for getting a crowed away from him.

"Pfft fiiiiiinnnee. Well have it your way" Ignus complies making Sisu squell and gives him a big hug. Very awkward as Ignus puts on a nervous face as if he needs air. Then Sisu grabs him by the sleeve of his orange robe and drags him.

()

If things are any weirder, the canteen that Sisu has taken Ignus is built right by a clean lake in a circle position with barely any walls. Being an Oriental style place, Ignus had to get used to sitting on the pillows with his legs crossed like everyone else.

He is sitting across the table facing Sisu while surrounded by a lot dinner guests. While the pair waited for a server, Ignus has eyes glued at the night sky keeping an eye on it looking nervous. When the sun starts rising, his human form spell will wear off turning him back into a dragon in force.

"So what is your name my new friend?" Sisu starts the conversation.

Friend? Seriously? Ignus blows out the statement in his mind. If it would make her less annoying he replies unamused, "Its Ignus"

"Ignus? What an interesting name. Mind if I call you Iggy?" Sisu asks him with a smile. Ignus only makes a soft growl in response. It only make Sisu giggle.

"Why don't you tell me where you are actually from mr. grumpy."

Ignus really does not want to tell her anything. Yet she is so persistent. Right now he is just sitting around looking like a total Grinch by the way he crosses his arms with an annoyed frown. Yet Sisu oddly finds it very funny for some reason.

"Why are you doing this?" Ignus demands

"To be real, I really came here to visit a good friend of mine and warn her about a monster that attacked a village recently." Sisu answers making Ignus widen his eyes in fear knowing this monster is referring to him.

"A monster? You mean like what I saw at the posters?"

"Yes! That monster. According to one of my brothers, thank spirits that no one was hurt. He probably only wanted to go nuts and vandalize the place." Sisu explains

"That does sound tragic," Ignus nervously replies with a small laugh.

Sisu is about to ask why he is so nervous all the suddon until she gets cut off by a server woman.

"Hello you two. What can I get for you both today?" the lady asks.

"I would love to have the Tom Yum soup!" Sisu excitedly orders. Ignus on the other hand looks at her like she is crazy.

"the What Ya soup?"

The server looks at Ignus curiously. "Oh dear, what is the matter with your skin and eyes?"

Ignus growls quietly to himself and repeats his question on what soup Sisu mentioned.

The server backs up a bit, scared at Ignus's aggressive behavior. She looks at Sisu and asks if he is ok.

"Nothing serious. My friend here is just a little grumpy so I thought he could some company."

Ignus drops his head and moans, "Maker please let this be a dream."

Sisu only gestures for the lady to explain the soup to Ignus.

"Well young man, the Tom Yum soup is a specialty that the People of Heart makes. Even our chief knows how to make it and I admit he makes it better than we do."

"Must I add it is one of my faves ever!" Sisu adds sounding giddy. That only makes Ignus growl follow by a brief face palm.

"If its such a great dish of the heavens guess I will just try it then." He eye rolls.

With that, the server writes down the orders, bows, and takes her leave to the kitchen area at the center.

"While we wait, what about you tell me bits about yourself" Sisu says leaning forward.

Ignus Snorts and replies, "There is nothing interesting about me."

"You kidding me? You look different and not to mention you did some magic trick with your hands. I thought humans can't do magic." Sisu insists in denial.

Ignus makes another growl hoping she did not mention the telekinesis spell he did. He starts to sense a lot of people are beginning to stare at him due to being different. It the annoys the heck out of him. He has no choice but to comply to that chick.

"Alright miss Sisi"

"Sisu," Sisu corrects with a small laugh before he continues.

"Alright…miss Sisu, I come from a world called Eurobania were people like me could do this."

Ignus snaps his fingers creating an ember of flame making Sisu flinch. Everyone else at the canteen gasped at the sight. Then he uses his hands to create a ball of sparking electiricty making the people nearby stare at such sorcery.

"The spell I used on you earlier," Ignus uses his hand in a grabbing formation to lifts up a stone cup on mid air. "It is called Telenkinesis"

Sisu has her jaw dropped staring at the floating cup. As did all the guests. They all question how he, a human is doing such a thing.

"Where did you say you are from again? Eurabonia?" Sisu asks with a tone of disbelief.

With a smirk of his own Ignus replies, "Its Eurobania. And what I just demonstrated is called Magic, the art of wielding supernatural powers just as dragons could long ago."

"Dragons? did you say Dragons exist in your world too!?" Sisu exclaimins looking surprised. "How are they like? Are you any good friends with dragons?"

Ignus looks at her with an awkward face for a brief few seconds before answering awkwardly, "Yeeeaah, there were dragons in my awhile ago. Let me tell you a brief story about my world.

"Long ago, since the beginning time. The people of Eurobania believes in a celestial being called the Maker who is said to have created the world in his image. Dragons were one of his firstborn children alongside humans, the second born. By the Maker's command, the dragons are sent to preach the moral truths that we call today 'The Code'. A set of moral rules that we all follow allowing us to establish peace in the world.

"Sadly, not all dragons wanted peace. It is said they discovered Dark magic and went corrupt. They turned their back on the Code and believed they should rule over humanity rather than peace. Led by an evil dragon enchantress by the name of Necromodia, the evil dragons have enslaved human race. The Dragons still faithful to the code gave the humans a great weapon to fight back against the dragons who are evil. The ability to do Magic just as dragons could.

"Those Humans who were granted such gifts are called Wizards. With the power of magic, a man by the name of Merlin Excalibon led humanity to fight back with the help of the dragon allies. We called it the magic wars. Eventually Necromodia and her followers where defeated. The Land of Eurobania was untied as a single kingdom under Merlin's rule as King.

"The dragons themselves however had to flee to far distant land as humans begin to grow skeptical and fear them. Afraid that they might turn into another Necromodia. Not only for the sake of their survival as a species but also do not want to fight humans, the Dragon decided it is best to flee back to their ancestral home with hope that one day they will return when the humans are ready once again. Satisfied?" Ignus picks up his cup of water and drinks it without knowing that a crowd of people were listening to him as if he is some story teller. Sisu has a face of disbelief.

"You telling me there were dragons who are evil? That can't be true."

A hint of heart break is sensed in her voice. Ignus shrugs and responds, "What can I say. Its history."

A young girl walks up to him and asks, "Mister, did you really say dragons gave people magic?"

"Did dragons in your world really leave?" a young boy adds in.

Ignus is about to answer but Sisu makes a small rant. "That is hard to believe. Dragons are supposed to be the most nicest and wisest beings in the world."

"History has a lot of secrets unfortunately. Years after the dragons left, Eurobania got split into six kingdoms ever since king Merlin perished without a proper successor for crazy reasons. Today the Kingdoms in Eurobainia are: Mind, Breath, Wing, Tailblade, and Soul. Soul is the kingdom where I came from. It is the most powerful and the most respected of all the kingdoms thanks to our deeper connection to Magic" Ignus explains taking another sip of water. "What about your history?"

Before Sisu has a chance to answer, a server comes through the crowd and gives both Sisu and Ignus the soups they ordered. Ignus curiously looks at the soup. He sees a lot vegtables mixed in with shrimp and other various spices. He points at it and makes an expression to Sisu reading if that's the soup. With a grin Sisu nods yes and encourages him to try it. He looks a bit uneasy as he picks up his soup. Before he begins, he notices people are still staring.

"DO YOU PEOPLE MIND IF YOU ALL STOP STARING AT ME!?" he barks making electric spark from his hands. It spooked the people back their business.

"You did not have to be harsh," Sisu advises him as she digs into her soup slowly.

Ignus only makes a small grunt and tries his soup. He freezes in place with his eyes widened. It is so good. Without a second thought he dives into the soup and eats it rapidly without knowing Sisu is staring at him with her eyes in shock and drops her spoon.

Ignus finishes the soup by drinking the brooth from bowl. He takes a napkin and wipes his mouth. "maker this soup is great I will give you guys that."

He looks to Sisu to see her staring at him expecting something to happen. "You ok? Your looking at me very weird?"

"Is your mouth even burning?" Sisu asks him.

"Burning? Why?"

The server lady from before comes up to him with an uneasy face and answers for Sisu, "Sir…the Tom Yum soup given to you is supposed to be spicy due to adding a lot of peppers."

Ignus gives an odd look the server then back a Sisu. He makes awkward smile with a shrug and replies, "I guess I have special immunity to spicy stuff."

Technically his immunity to spicy food is due to the fact he is a fire dragon and fire dragons are immune to fire related stuff. It includes spicy food. He looks to the sky to see that day is arriving making him gasp. It means it is time for him to bail before he morphs into dragon form. He can't let people see him in dragon form due to that wanted poster. He jumps off his pillow seat and quickly gives the server the appropriate jades.

"Oh boy look at the time, I better get going thanks for food bye!" with that he takes his bag of food zooms out.

"Hey wait! Where are you going!? I did not have a chance to tell you more about Kumandra!" Sisu calls out as she pays her meal and runs off after Ignus.

()

Into the forest, Ignus runs deeper and deeper. He looks up at the sky to see the sun is raising up. The aura of magic is beginning to surround him, showing that his spell is wearing off. As he runs, his tail sticks out and his hands turn into red scaly claws. As he continues to run, little did he know a group of Kumandrian dragons has spotted him and are making chase as too the human Sisu who is still going after her supposed new friend.

Note: to the one who questioned about my book, I could happily say that I am already writing a direct sequel to my book 'Tales in Scales the Empty throne'. Perhaps i am hoping to make it a series.
