Bilbo had dealt with his fair share of unusual situations.
And yet, somehow, trolls, dragons, and cursed rings had become the least abnormal part of his life.
Bilbo had quickly decided that he was, in fact, not crazy. Something in Bilbo celebrated the system's existence and recognized it in a way. He could feel that the words of the system were valid somewhere deep in his soul.
So, now with that revelation out of the way, we might as well get started.
"Status"
Bilbo was proud to say he didn't jump when the screen reappeared.

Ok. That was quite a lot. Bilbo felt quite proud of his Intelligence, um...' stat?' Though he was most certainly more charismatic than the average human! Yes, he could be rather difficult but still!
Now, what were these 'Wish Boxes?"
"Um... System?"
*Ding*
"I'm here!"
"What are Wish Boxes?"
"They are wonderful gifts as a result of your last wishes. While I am a result of Yavanna's love for you, I do not technically fulfill your wishes. These gifts will help you achieve your greatest dreams, but they won't do everything for you! They will give you some extra 'skills' or 'traits' to help you on the way!"
"I see. Thank you."
"No problem!"
Bilbo decided that now was as good a time as any to open his gifts. The moment he decided to open all his boxes, another screen appeared.

Bilbo watched the list of spells and traits with a blank expression. Then, slowly, a smile broke out across his face.
"Yes! Yes, this is perfect. I'll do better this time, I swear it!" He jumped up like a child and spun towards the door. Gathering his coat and walking stick Bilbo lept outside and headed towards the market. After all, he had an adventure to plan.
The last week had been a blur for Bilbo. Discovering his new abilities had become a source of intense joy for the Hobbit, and he had already noticed some interesting changes. His fellow Hobbits seemed to like him more, his sudden need to prepare for an adventure besides. Bilbo was quickly re-earning his "Mad Baggins" title, but now it was more endearing than insulting. He felt more comfortable outdoors when practicing hunting and other such skills. The small sword that he picked up from Bree was still awkward but no longer clunky and unusable to him.
Another thing Bilbo discovered was that trees and flowers could be most fascinating to talk to. While flowers and other younger plants were only able to communicate through feelings and sometimes memories, elder plants like trees could actually speak to each other. Their language was slow but light, and Bilbo found himself spending many afternoons under the Party Tree, listening to her as she told stories from her time as a sapling.
Bilbo noticed that his ability to communicate with his garden also lead to him having the nicest tomatoes around. His gardening skill was only bolstered by his identity as 'Yavanna's Chosen' and his natural fertility.
Speaking of said "Fertility," Bilbo had thoroughly examined himself the first day he arrived in the past, and he could say with great confidence that nothing...down there...had changed.
He was starting to believe that the system was only messing with him.
Either way, by the end of the first week, there were only two things left for Bilbo to do:
1. Use the 3rd eye.
2. Test his new 'powers.'
Bilbo smiled as he stared at his new to-do list. Yes, the next week would certainly be interesting.
