Hello again! I present chapter 5 of this series! I don't have much to say other than I hope you enjoy this chapter!

The sun was peaking over the horizon as Ash and Auria woke up. They got ready as their pokemon were waking up and stretching. The two walked out of the pokemon center and into the nearby woods. They had left a note telling Morgan where they went. They set down their stuff as their pokemon jumped off their shoulders.

"Aura or no aura?" Ash said as he took off his jacket, showing his black shirt.

"I'm thinking no aura. I would like to not burn the forest down because of uncontrolled aura." Auria said as she set down her flannel next to Kirlia. They stood opposite of each other in a fighting stance. They sparred for an hour before they decided to call it off and head back to the pokemon center. They put their jackets back on as Pikachu and Kirlia jumped to their shoulders. They walked into the center and saw Morgan and Misty sitting on a couch waiting for them to return.

"How did it go?" Morgan asked as she walked towards the 'twins'.

"Great, we did some training. Nothing special since we didn't want to burn the forest down." Auria said. Ash nodded as he brushed Pikachu's fur. Pikachu let out a 'chaaa' before he melted in Ash's lap. Ash chuckled at this and looked to see Silver and Gold holding hands looking expectantly at Ash.

"Looks like the twins want to be brushed as well. I'll help Red brush you two on the way through Viridian Forest. For now though, we need to hit the road so we can make some progress today. Besides, I want to train today." Auria said as she picked up Gold and put her on her shoulder. Ash set Pikachu back on his shoulder and put Silver on his other shoulder. He stood up as Misty spoke.

"Do you three mind if I travel with you? I am on my way through Viridian Forest as well and I don't prefer traveling alone." Misty asked as she grabbed her backpack. The three looked at each other with the same look.

"Sure! We usually don't prefer to travel in a large group, but we can make an exception." Morgan said as Ash and Auria grinned behind her. Misty smiled as they walked out of the pokemon center and into the dark, natural maze known as Viridian Forest.

It was about midday when Misty screamed for the umpteenth time. They found out early on that Misty was scared of bug-type pokemon. They sighed when they saw it was because of a single Caterpie. Ash walked up to it with a smile on his face and crouched down.

"Hello there, I was wondering if you wanted to join me in my attempt to become a pokemon master?" Ash asked politely surprising Misty. Caterpie nodded as he tapped the pokeball in Ash's hand. The ball shook three times before it dinged confirming that Caterpie was caught. Misty looked at Ash in confusion.

"Why did you ask it if it wanted to be caught instead of fighting it like a normal trainer would?" Misty asked Ash politely.

"Some pokemon don't want to be caught, so by asking them politely we bond faster than if I was to just battle them. If they want to battle then I'll battle them, but only if they want to." Ash replied. He looked at the pokeball before releasing Caterpie. Pikachu and Silver jumped off Ash's shoulders so they could greet their new friend.

"Nice job Red. You want me to paint the pokeball for Caterpie?" Auria asked as he stood up. He nodded and threw her the pokeball which she caught.

"You can paint pokeballs!?" Misty said surprised.

"If you have the right materials, then yes. I have painted many pokeballs for my friends, so I have had time to perfect it." Auria said as she put Caterpie's pokeball in her bag. Ash nodded

"Why don't we stop here for the day? We can train and plan what we need to do next." Morgan said as she set down her bag.

"I'm down for some training. Though first we need to eat some lunch first." Ash said as he passed some supplies to Morgan.

"I agree. Red and I will go collect firewood if you two would like to get everything ready." Auria said as she let out her shiny Vulpix while Ash followed suit and let out Vivi.

"Alright you two, we are going to get firewood. Make sure to listen to Green, while we are gone." Auria said as she walked off the path with Ash and out of sight.

"Red and Blue's pokemon are cute, but I don't know what they are. Do you mind telling me?" Misty asked while they set camp up.

"I don't mind. Red's starter was Pikachu and Blue's was the shiny Kirlia. They found Silver and Gold the Riolus when they were eggs, and they are both oddly colored for their species. Blue caught a shiny Vulpix while Red rescued Vivi the shiny Eevee a few years back. Kirlia's species are from Hoenn and the Riolus are from Sinnoh. I think that covers it." Morgan explained. By the time she finished explaining, they had finished setting up camp.

Meanwhile, Ash and Auria were have some trouble finding firewood. They decided to take a break and look for a bug pokemon for Auria. They stumbled onto some rocket grunts attempting to poach a flock of Pidgeys and Pidgeottos. They nodded at each other in understanding before pulling out two black cloaks from their pockets and threw the hood over their heads with the only their red and blue eyes showing. They walked out from behind the trees shocking the grunts by their sudden appearance.

"Wh-who are you?" one of the grunts asked. Ash and Auria gave him an evil smirk.

"We're your worst nightmares. I suggest you run before you make this more difficult for us." Auria said in an unusually deep voice. The grunts released their pokemon which consisted of three Koffing and 2 Ekans. Pikachu and Kirlia easily took care of the pokemon. The grunts returned their pokemon and charged at the Kyodai. What they grunts didn't know was that Ash and Auria were ready for their attack. Within about five minutes, all of the grunts were unconscious and sent to headquarters. The two high fived each other as they folded their cloaks and put them into their pockets. They looked up at where the flock originally was, but only two Pidgeottos remained as the rest flew away into the distance. The two birds flew up to the teens. One was lighter and had green and yellow tail feathers indicating that it was shiny while the other was darker and had red and yellow tail feathers normal for its' species.

"Is your flock ok? We got rid of the people trying to capture you." Auria asked.

"And that we thank you for. We have been looking for some good trainers for a while now. We think that you two are the trainers that we are looking for. As for our flock, we have always been outcasts in their eyes. " the unusually colored Pidgeotto responded. With Ash and Auria's aura abilities, they were able to understand them perfectly. They both grinned as the shiny Pidgeotto flew to Auria as the other flew to Ash.

"We would love to have you both on the team. Would either of you like nicknames?" Ash asked.

"I would like one if you don't mind." Auria's Pidgeotto said. The two teens nudged the pokeballs towards the pokemon catching them. They were released and scanned with their pokedexes.

'Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokemon. A Normal and Flying type. This bird is full of vitality. It constantly flies around its territory in search of prey. This pokemon is male and has the ability keen eye. Its moves are Gust, Sand Attack, Quick Attack, Wing Attack, and Whirlwind.' Ash's pokedex said.

'Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokemon. A Normal and Flying type. This bird is full of vitality. It constantly flies around its territory in search of prey. This pokemon is female and has the ability tangled feet. Its moves are Tackle, Gust, SandAttack, and FeatherDance.' Auria's pokedex said after Ash's was done.

"Not a bad move set. Definitely something I can work with. For now though I think we should finish collecting sticks and head back to everyone. What about Aera?" Auria said. Pidgeotto, now known as Aera, chirped happily. They finished gathering their sticks with the help of Aera and Pidgeotto and walked back to their campsite. When they got there, they saw Morgan and Misty talking and the pokemon playing. Morgan walked up to Aera and Pidgeotto and took their sticks from their claws and placed them in the firepit.

"It's about time you two come back. What did y'all get up to this time?" Morgan said with a knowing look in her emerald eyes; We will talk about this later. The two simultaneously rubbed the back of their necks with a sheepish grin on their faces.

"Not surprisingly, sticks were very scarce. Though that turned out to be great since we caught Aera and Pidgeotto." Auria said as she and Ash placed their sticks into the firepit. Pikachu, Kirlia, and the Riolus walked up to meet their new friends.

"Good job. Now, I assume that you two would like to train?" Morgan responded while putting ingredients in a pot. The 'twins' nodded simultaneously.

"I think I'm going to do some fishing around here and see if I can catch something." Misty said as she pulled her fishing rod out of her backpack and walked towards the nearby stream. Morgan looked off in Misty's direction as she walked out of earshot.

"Ok, now that she is gone, what actually happened?" Morgan said as she stirred the stew that she was making.

"Some rocket grunts were attempting to poach Aera and Pidgeotto's flock. We defeated them when Pidgeotto and Aera decided to join us. Nothing we couldn't manage." Ash said .

"Great, just the thing we need right now." Morgan said sarcastically. About the time they finished their conversation, Misty had come back from fishing. They all ate lunch and made small talk with one another.

"I'm curious, how long have you all had your pokemon?" Misty asked.

"We've had our starters since we were born…." Ash started.

"Then we found the Riolus together as eggs a year or two later…." Auria continued.

"We saved Vivi and Vulpix from trouble…." Ash continued.

"Lastly, we caught Caterpie, Aera, and Pidgeotto today while we collected firewood." Auria finished. Their answered shocked both Misty and Morgan for different reasons. It shocked Misty that they actually weren't beginners. Morgan was surprised how they acted a lot more like twins than they try to. Morgan shook her head and released her pokemon.

"I've had my starter since I was ten who was Frosmoth as a Snom. Shinotic was a stow away on a ship that I was on and followed me until I caught him." Morgan said as she introduced her pokemon. Misty nodded and looked at the pokemon before she released her own three pokemon.

"I have had Starmie and Staryu since I left to travel. I was fishing and caught Goldeen not long after I left." Misty said.

"I'm assuming you're a water type specialist?" Auria asked. Misty nodded as she fed her pokemon and put air into an inflatable pool. Staryu used Water Gun to fill the pool for Goldeen. Goldeen swam around happily as Misty put a bowl of specialty pokemon food in a floating bowl.

"She seems like she is close to her Pokemon. Maybe she can help socialize with people outside of headquarters." Auria said through her aura as she ate the delicious stew. Ash and Morgan's nod went unnoticed by Misty. After they ate, Morgan laid out a map for everyone to see.

"Our next destination is going to be Pewter City. They have a gym there and some stops Blue and I would like to go to. We should be able to get there in about a day, but we are going to be training as well. I think we should split up the traveling into two days, so we have time to train and get to know each other. Cerulean City has the second gym, but it also has a battle chateau, contest hall, and the first showcase ever to be held in Kanto. By the time we arrive in Cerulean City, Blue should be ready for her chateau battle, and I should be ready for the contest and showcase. Misty is there anything you would like to do?" Morgan explained as she pulled out four markers. One red, one blue, one green, and one orange.

"Not really. I have just wandered for a while. Though, the battle chateaus sound interesting." Misty said.

"I've always loved the battle chateaus, but I do like the league as well. Red does the league while I do the chateaus. My dream is to become a Grand Duchess and maybe one day a champion as well." Auria said as she helped Morgan circle some places.

"I do need a new ocarina, and I know that Red and I will want to rock climb so Mt. Moon will be a nice place to stop and train our pokemon as well." Auria said after they finished circling destinations for them to stop at.

"I know a place in Cerulean where they make the best ocarinas in Kanto." Misty said as she returned her pokemon and deflated the pool.

"I assume you come from Cerulean?" Ash said as he washed the bowls.

"Yeah, I left though because of my three older sisters. They're so annoying and only cared about their water shows. I took care of myself practically my whole life." Misty said with a small frown on her face.

"I know that feeling. I lived with my single aunt and her daughter, and she hardly even remembered that I existed, and her daughter bullied me all the time. I took care of myself until I met these twins." Morgan said trying to forget her horrible aunt and cousin.

"Remind me to punch your cousin next time we run into her." Ash muttered. Auria scoffed at this.

"Get in line. Green and I get first dibs." Blue said putting the now clean bowls into her bag.

"We could share second dibs since Green gets first dibs. It is her cousin after all." Ash said.

"Good point, fine you've convinced me." Auria said with a grin on her face. Morgan rolled her eyes at the two and Misty giggled.

"Now then, is everyone ready to make our way towards Pewter City?" Morgan asked with amusement still showing in her eyes. They nodded and started walking towards the city. The four walked in the forest until the sun started to set. Ash stopped and stretched as he watched the sun set with a hopeful gaze in his eyes.

'Maybe we can find out why Ho-Oh seems to trust us so much.' Ash said through his aura connection to Auria. The 'twins' unconsciously clutched their chest that concealed their necklaces with the feather attached to it. They knew Ho-Oh doesn't just give out its' feathers to anyone. They knew it had a reason, but what reason was unknown to them.

"I think we should stop for the night. We made decent progress through Viridian Forest and the bug pokemon shouldn't bother us with Aera and Pidgeotto nearby. " Morgan said. Ash, Auria, and Misty agreed with her and started to set up camp. While Morgan and Misty prepared dinner for the night, Ash and Auria talked to their pokemon about their training regimen.

"We know that the Pewter Gym specializes in Rock-Types. Pikachu, I want you to continue to work on Iron Tail. You're able to activate the move, but you need to be able to physically use the move. Pidgeotto, I want you to work on Steel Wing. It will help you against the disadvantage against the gym. Caterpie, I need to scan you first, then we can see what we need to work on.

'Caterpie, the Worm Pokemon. A Bug Type. For protection, it releases a horrible stench from the antenna on its head to drive away enemies. Its short feet are tipped with suction pads that enable it to tirelessly climb slopes and walls. This pokemon is male and has the ability Shield Dust. His moves are String Shot and Tackle.' Ash's pokedex said. Ash nodded in respect.

"Most wild Caterpie only know String Shot, but it looks like you put in the effort to learn Tackle as well." Ash said with a smile.

"I want to become the strongest Butterfree I can. I taught myself from observing the elders." Caterpie.

"Then you're in good hands. Red made me stronger than I thought that I could ever be. I'm still becoming stronger every day." Pikachu said. This shocked his two new teammates.

"You're telepathic!?" Pidgeotto asked.

"Don't ask. It brings back bad memories, but yes, I'm telepathic. Silver the Riolu and his twin sister Gold are mute. So don't be confused when they use sign language instead of verbally responding." Pikachu said as Silver waved silently.

"Now then, Caterpie, you're going to working with me to speed up your Tackle. Silver, you can work on Rock Smash until later tonight." Ash said as Silver nodded.

"Can Gold and I see what our aura weapon is tonight?" Silver signed.

"I think you're ready. I'll ask Blue tonight though just to make sure as we both need to see if we can conjure ours." Ash said with a smile. Aura weapons were supposed to be conjured as their hair finished turning, but Auria waited so they could get theirs at the same time.

"I think they're ready. Your hair should be done turning, so we should try tonight. My pokemon and I are in the clearing next to you. We can do a joint training session after dinner." Auria said through their connection. Ash smiled as she finished.

"Nevermind, Blue just told me that we are ready." Ash said as Silver jumped for joy. Pikachu saw how Pidgeotto and Caterpie looked confused.

"I'll explain later." Pikachu said to the two as they nodded.

"Now then, let's get busy." Ash said as he started stretching. Needless to say, they all trained until Morgan yelled that dinner was ready. Ash, Auria, and all the pokemon walked back sweating. Misty raised an eyebrow when she saw the two take a bottle of water from Morgan.

"You two trained as well?" Misty asked as she handed them two sandwiches.

"We train with our pokemon. Strength and power isn't everything in a pokemon battle. It takes a strong bond between the trainer and pokemon to win. Training with them is a great way to bond with them as well as see what we need to change about our training." Ash said in between bites. Auria nodded alongside him.

"That actually makes sense. Your pokemon only do what you are capable of yourself. It keeps you in shape as well. I might try this training method." Misty said as she finished her sandwich.

"It works wonders. By the way, Red and I are going to do a joint training session tonight alone. Some stuff we want to try out." Auria said.

"I think I might see if I can catch something." Misty said.

"I'll start preparing for the next contest since everyone else is training." Morgan said as they packed everything back into their backpacks. Ash and Auria headed into a large clearing as Misty and Morgan headed the other direction.

"Are you ready?" Auria said as she picked up Gold. Ash nodded and picked up Silver. They walked deeper into the clearing as the moon was rising above them. The two set down their Riolus and started pulsing their aura. The Riolus joined them as they all glowed a bright blue form their aura. It didn't take long for their chosen weapons to form, but to their surprise two began to form.

In Ash's left hand, a large black staff formed in his hands. The staff had yellow thunder bolt engravings running down the handle and a golden collar. On the top of the staff laid a yellow gem surrounded by three dark grey bolts creating an arc around it. In his right, a long sword appeared. It had a black blade with a red edge. It had a red, braided leather hilt with black metal at the end and a dark grey guard.

In Auria's right hand, a sword formed. It had a long, silver blade with a Rota crystal by the guard. The guard was a dark blue and arced around the Rota crystal and a dark blue leather hilt. In her left, a medium sized bow rested in her hand. It was silver with orange detailing and a fire-red handle. A silver quiver appeared on her back full of arrows. The two were stunned by the weapons in their hands. They looked towards their Riolus as their aura weapons appeared.

Silver had a long sword that was obviously too big for him in his hands. The weapon had a dark brown, wooden hilt with gold grips running down the hilt. At the end of the hilt was a dark grey diamond shaped edge with a red gem embedded in it. The guard was also dark grey with a red gem embedded within it on top near the blade. The blade was a light silver that reflected the moonlight.

Gold's sword wasn't much different than Silver's. It was also too large for her. The hilt was light brown with silver grips. At the end of the hilt was a gold diamond shaped edge with a fragment of Rota crystal embedded in it. The guard was also gold with a Rota fragment embedded within it on top near the blade. The blade was a light gold that was blinding in the light. The two teens chuckled as they watched their partners attempt to pick up their swords.

"I think you may need to evolve to be able to use your swords." Auria said pointing out the obvious. The Riolus looked at each other with the same look in their eyes before they were enveloped in a bright white light. In a matter of seconds, two Lucarios stood before Ash and Auria's feet. They were still their unusual colors of silver and gold, but Silver's fur on his chest was a paler yellow and Gold's was a pale blue.

"I didn't mean it literally, but congrats." Auria said as she fiddled around with her sword.

"You think we should put our cloaks back on?" Ash asked his kyodai.

"It would probably help hide the fact that we carry weapons on us. We could wear masks as well." Auria responded.

"We might need to before we head back to the camp. Misty doesn't know we carry them and it's an uncommon practice these days." Ash said as he pulled his black coat out of his pocket. Auria followed him as she adjusted her quiver. Ash put his cloak on and then proceeded to put his sword in its' sheath that was attached to his belt. His staff rested in its' holder on his back that he had for his other staff.

"What do you think Riley is going to think about this? First, the elemental aura then this." Auria said as she adjusted her cloak. Her sword also sat in its' sheath on her hip and her bow was on her back. They helped Silver and Gold put their swords in a sheath on their backs.

"Imagine the look on our opponents when they see two Lucarios with swords in their hands." Ash joked.

"Ten bucks they're surprised." Auria said as she put on her mask. Only her bright blue eyes were visible.

"Deal, though were about to get so many questions when we get back." Ash responded as he grabbed his bag. The four walked back to the campsite where they saw Morgan sitting on a log by the fire. The brunette raised an eyebrow at their appearances.

"Misty went to bed. I'm assuming that whatever you did went well?" Morgan said. The four nodded and sat down on nearby logs.

"We conjured our aura weapons, and to our surprise we ended up with two each. Also, the twins evolved." Ash said as he pulled down his hood showing his pitch-black hair.

"Any reason for the cloak and mask?" Morgan asked. Auria took her mask off and put it in her pocket.

"We decided on the cloaks since it covers our weapons. The practice is unusual these days, and the masks felt right with the cloak. Misty might be surprised, but she doesn't need to know the real reason." Auria said. Morgan nodded and the three went to their tents.

The next day, Ash and Auria woke up before the rest of their group to do some aura training. They put on their travel clothes and walk to the same clearing from the night before. The two set down their bags and cloaks.

"How do you think we should train our auras? I don't want to burn down the forest." Ash asked his 'twin' as he stretched.

"Not sure. I guess we start with trying to connect with our auras and try to make a fire ball?" Auria said thinking.

"Why not try to tap into the auras? That way your sphere doesn't explode." Pikachu recommended. Silver and Gold walked up beside them to meditate.

"I agree with Pikachu on this one. We don't need to start a forest fire." Silver signed. The kyodai nodded and closed their eyes.

Ash thought about fire. The way it danced and enveloped everything in its way. Auria thought about something similar. She thought about the heat and color of the flames. It didn't take long for a ball of fire to appear in their hands. The two opened their eyes to see that they didn't get burned by the fire.

"Now that we can control our fire part, why don't we try ice and electricity?" Auria said. They had gotten a feel for fire, and they felt confident in their abilities. It wasn't long before a wave of knowledge rushed over them. It was like they had practiced their whole life. They closed their eyes for a second time and focused on their own element.

Ash had thought about Pikachu. When Pikachu used Thunderbolt, how the electricity crackled and popped as it struck its target. Ash opened his eyes to see an electrical sphere crackling in his hands. Ash grinned as he passed it to Pikachu. It absorbed into Pikachu as his Lightning Rod ability allowed him to.

Auria was also having an easy time with her element. They had lived on for four years. She remembered how the chilly wind blew her hair. The snowy land that stretched as far as the eye could see. It reminded her of the home she and Ash had on top of the dangerous mountain. It was home to her, and her true home other than H.Q. She opened her eyes to see a glittering ball of ice in her hand as she dissipated it.

"Looks like that wasn't a problem for us as well." Ash said as he walked to Auria. Random knowledge of their abilities rushed through their heads as they walked to each other giving them a headache. They winced at the pain and continued to train. They found that training in the morning would make sure that no one sees them. They trained for an hour before deciding to head back to their campsite. Morgan and Misty were eating breakfast. Misty was surprised about their cloaks and masks.

"Any reason for the cloak and masks?" Misty asked with a curious look in her eyes. Morgan handed them a granola bar and a cup of yogurt each.

"No, just intimidates our opponents" Ash said with a shrug.

"Well, it works. Green and I talked, and I decided to attend some chateaus. To show how great water types are. It'll also be one step closer for me to be a water master." Misty said as they eat their breakfast.

"Great idea, though you and I will be rivals then." Auria said as she packed her bag.

"Not all the time, but yes. I don't expect an easy challenge either." Misty said as she stood up.

"Red, it's just me and you without a rival now." Morgan joked.

"And it won't be that way for long." Ash responded as he stood up and called Silver and Pikachu. It didn't take long for Pikachu to appear on top of his shoulder and Silver by his side. Misty raised an eyebrow when she saw Silver and Gold. Luckily, she didn't the swords on their backs. Auria saw expression and decided to explain.

"They evolved yesterday when we trained. Anyways, we need to go if we want to make it by tonight. Red and I did all our training, but I guess a bit more wouldn't hurt if we make it before dusk." Auria explained. With that said, the group of four set off to Pewter City.

Later in the forest, the four were walking when Ash sensed someone trying to sneak up on them. He stopped and turned around to see who it was.

"Whoever is trying to sneak up on us-" Ash interrupted by a boy wearing a black and yellow samurai helmet, a white tank top and green shorts, and a handmade samurai chest plate over it. The strange boy also had a bug net on his back depicting his preferred type. The new appearance jumped out of a nearby bush and swung a katana down towards the group. Pikachu was the first to react and knocked it away with an Iron Tail. The boy stumbled backwards and fell. Auria frowned under her mask.

"May I ask what you were trying to do with that katana?" Auria said as she picked up the katana and twirled it around cautious of her surroundings.

"I-I was told of three trainers that came from Pallet Town that would pass by. One of my opponents told me that they were weak enough for me to beat. My name is Samurai." the strange boy said as he stood up. Auria sighed at this.

"I assume you're talking about Jack. He would be the one to say something as stupid as that, but yes, we did come from Pallet Town." Auria said as she messed with her necklace.

"Then I shall challenge you all to a battle then. I want to regain my honor from my last loss." Samurai announced.

"My cousin doesn't battle, but my brother and I do. How does a double battle sound?" Auria said.

"That will do. I know a place for the battle to commence." The kid said as he motioned for them to follow. Soon, they reached a large clearing with a small house nearby.

"This is where we will battle. Are you two ready to face defeat?" Samurai said. Morgan had to hold in a laugh as Misty looked at her with a confusing look on her face.

"I don't mean to speak for both of us, but we are ready. Green will you be the ref?" Ash asked as he and Auria pulled a pokeball from their belts. Morgan nodded and made her way to the middle and cleared her throat.

"This is a 1v2 double battle between with Samurai against Red and Blue Tajiri. Battle begin!" Morgan said as she swung her hand towards the ground. Ash and Auria released their pokemon and looked to see the opposing pokemon.

On the other side of the field stood a Metapod and Pinsir. Both looked as battle ready as they could. On the 'twins' side of the field stood Caterpie and Aera looking at their trainers waiting for instructions.

"You ready for this Ri? I'll have Caterpie use String Shot to restrict their movement, you can attack while they are stuck." Ash said through their aura connection.

"I'm in. You could also get in a couple of Gusts in as well?" Auria said as they observed their surroundings. There was only a few seconds of silence before Samurai decided to make the first move.

"Metapod use Harden and Pinsir you use Vise Grip!" Samurai yelled as Pinsir charged with his thorny pincers open towards Caterpie and Aera.

"Caterpie use String Shot and swing around using the trees. Constrict their movement!" Ash said through his aura. He turned to see the determined look on Auria. The fire in her eyes reminded him of when they battled traveling trainers on Mt. Silver.

"Aera, Tackle." Auria calmly stated through her aura. Aera and Caterpie instantly took off. Caterpie used String Shot on tree and started going in around Pinsir and Metapod. Metapod stayed still and used Harden. Pinsir tried to follow Caterpie but got dizzy trying to follow him. Aera flown above them readying a Gust. Aera released the gust of wind sending Pinsir and Metapod flying. The two landed with swirls in their eyes.

"Pinsir and Metapod are unable to battle! The winners are Red and Blue!" Morgan stated as Samurai returned Pinsir and Metapod to their pokeballs. Caterpie stood there proudly looking at what he accomplished with the help of Aera.

'I finally did it, after all this time. Maybe I will be able to achieve my dream.' Caterpie thought as he started to glow white. The light grew brighter as he started evolving. Soon, the light dimmed, and a Metapod stood where Caterpie once was.

"Congrats, Caterpie. It won't be long before you evolve again from the looks of it." Ash said. Samurai looked at Ash and Auria with a surprised look on his face. They had not said a single command, and yet their pokemon knew what to do. The bond between the trainers and pokemon was stronger than any that he had ever seen. Samurai walked up to the mysterious trainers with a grin on his face.

"I congratulate you both. It seems as if the other trainer was wrong." the boy said. Auria looked up from Metapod to look him in the eyes.

"Never, and I mean never, trust anyone when they compare themselves to others. Everyone has their own definition of strong including you and me. We just happen to have a little more experience than Jack thinks he knows." Auria said with a serious tone. Samurai nodded. It wasn't long before a loud buzzing noise was heard overhead. Everyone in the clearing looked up to see a large amount of Beedrill. Misty's face was suddenly a few shades lighter.

"It's those Beedrill again! Quick, into my cabin!" Samurai managed to get out before making a beeline for the log cabin in the distance. Misty was following him in an instant. Ash, Auria, and Morgan all looked at each other before nodding and splitting up. Auria and Morgan went to the cabin to defend it if needed as Ash turned to the incoming attack.

"Pikachu Thunderbolt" Ash commanded. Pikachu charged up electricity before releasing it towards the Beedrill. Metapod watched from behind. One of the Beedrill had escaped the thunder strike and tried to grab Metapod. Metapod used Harden to defend himself but was thrown back by the Beedrill landing on a rock. Pikachu turned around to see Metapod slumping down from the impact with a large crack in his shell. Pikachu cried and let loose another Thunderbolt and ran towards Metapod with Ash following him. The Beedrill were slowly getting up, but Ash and Pikachu didn't care as Ash picked up Metapod to look at the crack.

"Oh Arceus, this is bad." Ash muttered as Metapod laid in his arms. Suddenly, a bright light began to engulf Metapod as a Butterfree came out of his damaged shell. Butterfree took off, with a yellow powder trailing him.

"Butterfree." Ash whispered as he watched all the Beedrill fall in paralysis. Butterfree floated down to Ash and into his arms.

"Nice Stun Spore back there." Ash said as he returned Butterfree and walked towards the cabin. When they reached the cabin, Ash knocked twice signaling that it was safe outside. Auria opened the door as Ash walked into the small house.

"I'm assuming that you defeated the Beedrill?" Auria said as she sat down on a nearby couch.

"Yes, though Butterfree gave me a scare for a second." Ash said with a smile on his face as they stared at him. Auria lifted an eyebrow as he sat down beside her.

"Metapod evolved?" Auria guessed. Ash nodded and grinned.

"Two for two as always Blue." Ash said as he released Butterfree. Misty took a step back while Morgan and Samurai walked towards to take a closer look. It was a minute before Misty decided to face her fear and walked to Butterfree and shakingly touched his head. Ash and Auria raised their eyebrows simultaneously at this action from Misty. Morgan clapped as Misty finally was taking a step to rid her fear of bug types.

"I thank you for taking care of the Beedrill. It would be my honor if you all stayed for the night." Samurai asked as the four looked at each other before Morgan answered for all of them.

"We would be delighted to stay." she replied.

I thank you all for taking the time to read my fanfiction! I love writing for you all as it gives me a reason to continue doing what I love. I try to get chapters out as fast as I can, but I am always busy and write in my free time. I have chosen my pairing for Ash. They will be added in their respective place in the anime. Anyways, until the next chapter!
