Now that Victor was gone, Hank and Logan were able to spend the rest of the weekend together in peace. And that meant they spent the rest of the weekend cuddling and making love to each other. And with no people around, it made the experience that much better.
But even with all that warmth and happiness, there was something that Logan couldn't get out of his mind.
The idea of marrying Hank.
For a long while, Logan saw marriage as a complete waste of time, not to mention a sick reminder of his cursed mutant power. He would be forced to watch his lover die and he would stay the same. His attitude, lifestyle, and identity as a mutant would put a strain on any relationship he was in, so he didn't bother thinking about marrying anyone for many, many years.
But he didn't have Hank back then. The things he felt for Hank were things he didn't feel for anyone else. He was the one person he had a genuine connection to and if he was going to marry anyone, it was going to be Hank.
And Logan decided to ask Hank about the topic while giving each other simultaneous foot massages.
"Hank, can I ask you something?" asked Logan.
"Absolutely. What's on your mind?" answered Hank.
"Uhh, you know how I've never been in a long-term relationship before and how I've never gotten married?" asked Logan.
"Yes, I remember you talking about that." said Hank.
"Well, I think I want to take the plunge and go for it." said Logan.
"Logan, are you asking me-" Hank asked but Logan interrupted him.
"Yes, I am, and I wish I had a ring on me but I don't. And I didn't hide it in my buttcrack if that's what you're thinking. But…do you want to get married?" asked Logan.
"Logan…I…wow, this is very sudden, but yes, I would love to join your hand in marriage. There's no one else I would want to be with besides you." said Hank.
"You know this can't be legalized, right?" said Logan.
"It doesn't matter. It's more about what it means personally, rather than what the law says when the law is constantly working against us." said Hank.
"True. So, when do you want to do it?" asked Logan.
"It should at least be a few weeks from now. We need to prepare for everything like the location, guests, food, and outfits." said Hank.
"Outfits? You want to do this clothed?" asked Logan.
"Maybe. I'm not sure. Do you want to be clothed on our wedding day?" asked Hank.
"Not particularly. I mean…we could just wear our birthday suits. It would be weird, but it would be different and memorable." said Logan.
"You do make a point. I would want our wedding to be something we can remember for the rest of our lives." said Hank.
"Not to mention, laugh at." said Logan.
"Very true. Then, I guess it's settled. Now, we need to buy rings. I must warn you Logan that I would request you get me two rings." said Hank.
"Two rings?! It's bad enough to buy one but two?! Why would you or anyone need two rings?" asked Logan.
"One for my finger and one for my toe." Hank said while wiggling the toes of the foot that Logan was massaging.
"Well, in that case, get me two as well, for my hand and foot. It's only fair." said Logan.
"It is indeed fair. It's not a contestant on who can get a superior ring." said Hank.
"Yeah. But you know I'm going to win." said Logan.
"We'll see about that. Hmm, you know, considering how impressed you are of my feet, I must say, yours are quite nice." said Hank.
"Thanks. As you said before, I'm the masculine dream. Guys would kill to look like me and I'm not even trying to impress anyone." said Logan.
"I know and that's one of the reasons I love you." said Hank.
"And your blue, furry, muscular body is one of the reasons I love you, furball." said Logan.
The two lovers then talked about the various logistics of the wedding (the date, the guest list, the location, etc.) before they went to sleep. Both knew that the wedding, whenever it'll take place, will be a day of pure happiness and neither of them could wait for the big day.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. It was short but it did its job of setting up the next chapter. Speaking of the next chapter, it will be the final chapter and will be all about Logan and Hank's wedding. As for my other stories, I'm hoping to complete more stories by the end of the year, whether they be new or old, but I think I can do it. I made a stupid amount of progress over the summer. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye for now and stay safe.
