A/N: I'm back to posting via phone. Let me know if there are any issues.
Darkness surrounded Frank Jones as he opened his eyes, so much darkness in fact that he had to take a few moments to see if his eyes were actually opened. It was the little stream of light that peaked under a door that confirmed his eyes were indeed open. Shifting his weight, something metal dug into his wrist, preventing him from moving too far. Turning his head he attempted to see what it was but all he could see was darkness. Taking a moment he closed his eyes.
Come on Frank, it's like they taught you. Take in your surroundings, his brain coached.
Taking a deep breath, Frank slowly released it and started to move a little bit. Something cold and hard encased his wrists, as something sat across his chest, his bare chest. His feet were also captured with the cold metal. He arched his back only for it to slam back down on a cold metal slab.
You're strapped down to a metal table, his brain announced as it finally processed everything.
His head throbbed as he tried to remember how he got here. It all came rushing back to him at once. He had just escaped the Avengers Compound and was heading towards the forest when something hit him in the head. After that, nothing. Maybe the Avengers caught up to him.
This doesn't seem like their style.
True.
Frank's thoughts were interrupted by the blinding lights that were suddenly turned on. Slowly allowing his eyes to adjust he looked around, trying to see his captor.
His eyes finally fell on the person responsible for his current predicament and his breathing stopped almost instantly.
After a few seconds, Frank finally breathed out one word.
"You."
Dark eyes stared at the man that was strapped to the metal table. What he wouldn't give to just slice into the flesh to listen to the screams, but he had orders.
The eyes of Frank Jones fell on him as he stood against the wall. "You."
A smirk graced his face as took a step forward. The smell of fear filled the room as he leaned down over the other man. "How's it going Frankie?"
Frank's eyes remained wide as he stared at the man above him. Standing up, he walked around the table admiring his handiwork. Once he was satisfied that Frank was secure, he returned to his head.
Frank licked his lips before narrowing his eyes, in an attempt to look dangerous. "Let me out of here."
The man shook his head at the other. "I would if I could, but I can't."
Frank's eyes narrowed further. "Why the hell not?"
"I'm acting on orders."
"Whose?"
"I can't say."
Frank eyed the man carefully before he replied slowly, "Can't or won't?"
The man tilted his head to the side. "Does it matter? I mean you're stuck here, so…"
Frank jerked against the metal straps that were draped across him in a weak attempt to try and get free. Rolling his eyes, the man leaned down close to Frank's ears. Lowering his voice to a whisper he gave the man the answer he was searching for.
"Here's the deal, buddy. You were given a mission a while ago, to find that Parker kid and you still don't have him. Then that whole mess with the foster seven nonsense happened and our mission turned to capturing Spidey. You had him in the woods, you and Ray. Then you let him get away. Luckily for us, I shot the kid in the stomach to give you time to catch up. Now I left after that but something happened because he ended up in the hands of the Avengers. You and Ray never reported back so they sent me to look for you. You were gone but Ray was still there. By the way, he's dead. Apparently something broke his back, hard enough to sever his spine. Pieces snapped off and ended up somewhere they shouldn't be."
The man allowed those words to sink in before he continued, Anyway, when ix reported back that he was dead and you and the kid were missing, let's just say, she was less than pleased to hear that."
Frank frowned for a second as the words fell over him before his eyes grew wide. "Mom."
"Bingo," the man cried out in glee. "I saw your sister in the forest and also reported that back to her. So naturally when you and the Spidey dude went missing, our first thought was that you somehow aligned yourself with the Avengers to protect your sister. I mean, think about it. We know you would do anything for her."
"I'm not-"
"Shhhh, I'm not finished. Now where was I? Ah, yes. So I went back, found Ray and went looking for you. We thought you were dead, then I found you outside this little cabin peaking in on your sister and the traitor. Lovers those two are. I saw you follow traitor all the way to this little building in a field. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was the Avengers Compound. I had to be sneaky about it though, I certainly thought your sister caught me when she started following you, but I don't think she did. That little show of the traitor hitting you was a nice touch."
"I'm not working with the Avengers. They had me locked up the-"
Lifting a hand, he patted Frank's cheeks. "Hey, I'm not done. Now, I decide to stay hidden for a while to see if you came back out but you never did. Then, a few days later after I feared all hope was lost, something happened. Your sister appeared at the compound. Now if that isn't suspicious I don't know what is. So I left. Couldn't risk getting caught. I came back and reported what I observed. I was instructed to go back to the compound and keep watch. When I returned, I saw little Spidey speeding away. Now me being the good soldier that I am, I was faced with a situation. Do I go or stay? Bottom line, I stayed, and imagine my surprise when all the Avengers left and came back with little Petey."
Frank opened his mouth to protest but the man held up a hand. "If you say anything else, I'm going to gag you." Standing to his full height, he slowly walked above Frank's head and out of his line of vision although his words still penetrated the room. "I left to report back and when I came back a few days later, Spidey was seen leaving the building and you were seen coming out moments later. So, do you see why you're here?"
"I want to talk to her," Frank blurted out as he twisted his head to see his captor. The man shook his head as he slowly dragged over the metal cart to where Frank could see. He watched as Frank's eyes grew wide with fear.
"She doesn't want to talk to you right now, that's why she sent me."
"Please, I don't know anything," Frank pleaded.
The man shook his head. "This is going to hurt you more than it hurts me, or something like that.
Frank looked around the room hoping to see something or someone who is in the right frame of mind. That's when his eyes fell on the camera sitting neatly in the corner of the ceiling. "Please, I don't know anything!" He shouted at it as if it were going to answer back.
The man turned to the cart and lifted a knife into his hands before turning to his patient.
"Here's the thing Frankie, you're going to tell me everything you know about your sister, Vanessa, Spiderman and your nephew, Peter. Even if I have to carve it out of you."
Without another word, he pressed the blade of the knife against the man's skin and slowly started draggin it down as the screams of Frank painted the walls.
