Oops I got an alliance wrong in my own story! Fixed it LOL

The air was thick and warm before my head was even above the ground. I saw the sky overhead but also some metal support beams. The tube kept rising and I saw that all around us were tropical plants. I would have guessed a rainforest but the glass dome above us indicated we were, in fact, in a giant greenhouse. It made me want to cry all over again- it was beautiful, it reminded me of home, but it was still the Hunger Games and some of us were sixty seconds from death.

The ring of platforms seemed closer together than usual, since the round room we were in wasn't the largest. Paths shot off in multiple directions like spokes on a wheel, leading off into the greenery, some visibly ending in doors that led to who knows where. I found Kjole four platforms to my right. We made eye contact and she tilted her head toward one of the doors quizzically. I gave a tiny nod. It looked as good as any other option.

The Cornucopia was stylized to look like a garden shed. It contained the normal weapons and supplies, though I noticed it had less food than normal, likely because of all the fruit trees around. Also there were some less-expected items like trowels and rakes. I wasn't sure we should focus on it at all, though. The thick greenery around the Cornucopia would put Tributes quickly out of sight, risking us not being able to catch them. The platforms were close together so it might be better for us to just chase them down and kill a few of them by hand.

I was in between Nero and Anthony. Had I offended someone in a past life? At least neither of them were looking at me. I didn't think they were, anyway... it was hard to tell when I was breathing so hard the world was shaking. I half-thought I was about to pass out, so I bent down and put a hand on the platform for stability. It wouldn't matter if I started running right when the gong rang, not if either one of them came for me.

Ceto was five platforms away from me. Unfortunately, Gigi was three platforms away from her. That made her the lucky winner. Ceto was clearly thinking the same thing, since she was glaring ominously at her. I'd never seen Ceto not glare ominously at one of us. Whatever, I was just going to run for it. Let her find me in an entire forest.

What a lovely bow that was in the Cornucopia. They made it silver, just the way I liked them. Gold was pretty and all but silver went better with my skin. Gold also went well with my skin so it didn't matter too much, but I liked silver. Anyway, I was going to shoot someone to death with it.

Soleil was stuck right between Anthony and Nero. That didn't seem fair. She was two platforms away from me, right across from Nero, and I could see how terrified she was. Of course I was just as terrified... I'd already caught Oberon's eye and we were going to head for the door to my left but that didn't mean we'd get there.

I really wanted to grab some stuff but I wasn't sure I was as fast as I thought I was. I wasn't sure of anything about myself anymore. I was behind the Cornucopia, meaning most of the Careers couldn't see me, but I had no idea who they were targeting. Probably not me, to be honest. If I was the Careers I'd be targeting maybe Kjole, maybe RJ, but not really me. For once it was good not to get noticed.

I'm working on the Bloodbath right now so check back in a few hours because the site won't ping you twice in one day. Also for visual aids the Arena is a larger version of the Como Zoo conservatory. Can confirm, it's hot in there year-round!
