Rain fell onto the two, the whole surrounding dark and gloomy.

"Please…." Katara spoke out, blinking as the tears slowly made it's way to the muddy ground.

"Just…..just stop caring….ok? Sometimes, it just gets a little annoying." Zuko snapped at the ground, his back turned on her.

"What makes you think I want to care?" She shouted over the roaring of thunder.

"Huh? WHAT?" She screamed, bursting in sobs.

Without looking back at her, he sighed and walked slowly away from her.

"Fine! Leave! We were better off without you!" She sniffed.

He stopped in his tracks and turned around slowly, "Just stop trying to learn more about me, my past, is my business…..you have no reason to just dive in."

"That's your problem, you won't let anyone in…." She spat out, noticing him walking up towards her.

He grabbed her wrists tightly and whispered dangerously, "You want to know what your problem is?"

Katara made no motion.

"Your problem is, that you are the most annoying girl I've ever met, you have absolutely no respect for other people's boundaries and to top it all off...I…" He abruptly stopped.

"What….what is it?" She whispered out, her eyes full of sorrow and pain, her voice pained and cracked.

Katara felt his warn breath on her neck as he whispered out the bravest words anyone could say.

"I love you."

"Zuko….I…." She had no time to finish the sentence, for his lips were on top of hers.

A pleasant jolt went up her spine, her mind, tossing itself in all directions, her heart momentarily speeded up.

As he pulled away, he mumbled, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that…." Zuko turned to leave, when he felt a light hand on his, pulling him back.

Katara pull on his hand gently and turned him back around, locking lips with him once more.

He was surprised for a split second, but it all felt so good. He pulled her closer, making them seem as if they were one.

Katara broke away first and wiped away a tear, "I'm sorry….if I was annoying you….I just wanted to know….well,….what….." She stopped and thought on how she should say this.

"What makes me tick?" He finished, pulling her towards him again.

Neither complained that the rain soaked through their clothes, nor the fact that mud was now seeping through their shoes.

All that mattered, was the fact that the three bravest words that could be told to any person, were said today.

"I love you….."

A/N Ok….I know some of you might not like it or think it was really cheesy….well frankly, this idea just came into my head, or more of….popped into my head.
