Chapter 19: Search for Answers. Day 1

Cloud sat there with his head in a book. The room was quiet except for the constant turning of pages and a murmur of displeasure from Yuffie every once in a while. He looked around the room to see everyone in their own corner and piles of books stacked around them. They had been reading for six hours straight, and Cloud had managed to get through 10 books. Most of the books he had gone through were mere children's stories, but had got so taken up in one of the stories that he hadn't noticed he spent a whole hour just reading it. He looked back down to the book and lost where he was reading. The book he was now engrossed in was actually a useful book but it was boring the hell out of him.

He set the book down and rubbed the weariness out of his eyes. He looked around the place and spotted Tifa. As he watched her he thought that before his eyes she turned even prettier. He smiled as a certain thought crossed his weary mind and a devilish grin crossed his features. He kicked himself mentally, he had to stay focused. But the thought came to him again and he finally sat back and let it sink in. While he was "Thinking" a spitball flew through the air and hit him dead in the center of his forehead. He looked around and tried to spot the culprit but everyone seemed to deep in what ever they were doing to send a spitball at him.

He decided to go back to reading his book and if someone decided to throw something at him he would catch him or her…hopefully. Cloud picked up the book and proceeded to pretend that he was reading. On the other side of the room the person sending the spit balls at Cloud rolled another piece of paper. Tifa peeked out from behind her book and inserted the now wet paper ball into the shell of her disassembled pen. When everything was ready she aimed at Cloud's head and fired. She didn't bother checking back to see if her shot flew true because they always did. She ball flew through the air and hit Cloud in the head again. Cloud's head was up in an instant but he missed the culprit once again. His brow furrowed in frustration and he put his book down and folded his arms across his chest, his mouth in a serious pot.

Tifa could not hold it in and she burst out laughing. Everyone looked up at her with tears streaming down her face and a beet red Cloud. They just ignored them and decided to let them play their lover's game. Cloud looked to her with a frown and she mouthed her deepest utmost apology. Cloud looked down at the table that he occupied and saw his pen sitting there. He disassembled it, the way Tifa had and got a piece of paper, rolled, and loaded. He was about to fire and Tifa but had a better idea. He looked around the room and picked out a new target. He wanted to get at somebody who didn't know the Game that they were playing. He looked at Red and his lips curled into a smile once again. He signaled Tifa to Red and the both fired at the same time. With lighting quick speed Red turned around and batted the two balls out the air and smiled.

"Amateurs".

Cloud and Tifa both hung their heads in mock shame.

After a while everybody was talking to each other and the enthusiasm that they started with was gone in an instant. They were talking to each other as if they hadn't talked in years. And so it was…the first day of research came up unfruitful. They still had 2 more days to study but would those two also be unfruitful or would the team bull up their bootstraps and get serious.

Ok every one. That is the end of that. Yall are saying yall like the fighting scenes more so I will get through the boring information as quickly as possible. But please read on. I will start number 20 tomorrow…hopefully.lol.
