That time where I promised to update much much earlier...then a LOT of things happened. So. Many. Things. And a lot of it was bad. You know what I'm talking about, most likely.

But we're not here for that, let's focus on a turning point.

"Alright, it's about time we come to order on this whole thing." Wendy declared as she slammed her paws on the table before her. Her fellow siblings were all gathered around as well, each appearing to be a certain kind of motivated for the occasion. Wendy and Junior seemed to be the most pumped for it, hence why they were the ones calling the Koopalings to order.

"Yeah yeah, come to order! We've got something super important to talk about!" Junior exclaimed with a hop in place, while Wendy had her paws clasped on the table in front of her. "And we gotta assume you know what we're were talking about. Right, brothers?"

"Indeed. You wish to speak about Father and Miss Rosalina." Ludwig guessed in one, casually raising a paw while flipping through a book he was reading. "I agree that it is something that warrants a bit of deeper conversation, wouldn't you say? It's been quite a while since Rosalina and Father been getting to know each other, and they've only been getting closer and closer with their bond. I think it's time we consider the deeper route that they may have a possibility of taking. A route which will have the undoubtedly high-spirited support from all of us."

"No way. You don't mean what we all probably think you mean, do you?" Iggy questioned while adjusting his glasses.

"You bet we do." Wendy lightly rubbed her paws together. "It's about time Daddy and Rosalina got married!"

"H-Hey, it's a good thing we called this meeting together, because we should probably talk through that, first." Iggy shook his head, lightly slicking his wild hair back. "Okay okay. Just to be clear, I'm all for being able to officially call Rosalina 'Mom'. But isn't this a bit of a sudden step to take? I know we're a pretty selfish group of kids, but we should consider this a bit more, like how they're both going to react to such an idea."

"We're getting to that, hold on a second." Wendy shushed him, before clearing her throat a bit. "Alright, so we known that Daddy and Rosalina love each other very much. And Daddy is slowly moving on from Peach, at his own pace. He's doing really well. A marriage will be just the thing to seal the deal!"

"No obviously we don't want them getting married because we want them to. I mean, obviously we want them the, but the best way for that to come about is for it to be a chose they made, not one we pushed upon them. Dad's gonna shut that down in no time flat." Larry shook his head while folding his arms with a deep pout. "Dad's a lot smarter than we give him credit for."

"Pops' has his mess-ups from time to time, but he hits the mark more often than not these days. He's gettin' a strong nose for this kinda stuff. Our shenanigan's and all that jazz." Roy guffawed while shifting his glasses upwards. "He's learned to out-hijack the hijackers to his schemes, so he's definitely wisin' up. Though now dat he and the Bros' aren't fightin' as much no more..." Roy rubbed his chin a little bit. "Maybe, just maybe..."

All of his scheming can focus on building up his Kingdom. It's a pretty strange turn of pace, but one I don't really have a problem with. I think." Lemmy hummed bounced about on his rubber star ball, contemplating. "He's had plenty of time to do that, ever since Miss Rosalina came into our lives. He spends a bit of time with her, then us, then plans ways to further bring our homes ti further prosperity. Ya know, without stealing prospers from others."

"In short, Dad's been more on the 'alright' kind of things. He's not good and he's not all that evil anymore. We aren't either, by extension. Just...alright." Iggy hummed. "Though I'll to say, that's a lot better than we were expecting of ourselves, honestly. Being bad was kinda fun simply because we were allowed to just do whatever the heck we wanted, chaotic and all."

"But now that we're heading more towards more decent, we can't exactly do that anymore. I'd rather keep Mama and have her keep liking us, thank you." Wendy huffed with folded arms. "It's already set in stone, she's Mama."

"Mama!" Junior jumped cheerily.

"Well, there goes that. Junior and Wendy are pretty much the main supporters regarding all of this. Among us, no one's as big a supporter of them as they are." Ludwig lightly pushed against his hair with a gentle sigh. "But we're all being supportive in our own way, they're just the most vocal about it."

"I think we've all been kinda vocal about it, bro." Roy huffed with a large grin.

"Well, I guess we're all kind of on the same page about this, but we still have to find a way to get this idea across to Dad without looking like we're forcing it." Iggy said while lightly flicking the hair on his head. "I know we can be pretty demanding, but we all really want this to work out. Don't want to do anything that will put that in danger. We should be careful about how we approach this, is all."

"I might have a couple ideas or so, but we are going to have to be really smart about it, or else Pops' will have our hides. I don't wanna have to deal with dat potential diastasa if we don't hafta." Roy interjects.

"Right." Junior nodded, and all the other Koopalings nodded along with him. "Alright gang, let's start brainstorming for ideas!"

As they were doing that, they failed to notice a small eye peeking at them from the shadows. It blinks idly at them, before closing and vanishing in a bright burst of light.

The magic eyeball was fast by Mammy, who huffed while pushing her hair up. "Darn kids are plotting again. They really do take after you, your Gruesomeness."

Bowser huffed,.folding his arms and lightly tapping the ground with his foot. Kammy chuckled, Bowser always does this when he's really in deep thought. "Tch, little brats are scheming behind my back again. Geez, I was too good of a teacher for them in that regard."

"So what do ya think? They're trying to get you married with Lady Rosalina! Just like that, they were completely open about it." Kammy hovered over to Bowser and lightly booped his snout. "This is going to be tough, my King. She checks all their boxes. She's kind, she's wise, playful, even mischievous when she wants to be. And she's also strong. Can't be a member of the Looks Royal Family if you're not strong." She waved her wand in Bowser's face. "It's too much for them. They want you to tie the not with our Space Queen and really give them a Mommy. Because I think we've all accepted that it isn't going to be Peach."

"Hmmm..." Bowser hummed, closing his eyes as steam gently blew from his nostrils. He opened his eyes as he lightly pushed his hair back. "I think you might be into something, here. And so are my kids."

"Ugh, you can be so stubborn somet-wait what?" Kammy was about to ridicule him, only to gasp as she realizes what he actually said. "wait a minute, are you being serious right now?"

"I am." Bowser lightly hugged his arms as he began walking down a hallway, with Kammy gently following him. "I've been thinking about this longer than anyone thinks, including the brats. The thought kept coming to me. Can I really marry her? Am I someone who Rosalina will consider marrying? I mean, look at me and what I've done in the past. I'm not exactly super hubby material."

"Is it because of the many times you've tried to force marriage upon Peach without her consent?"

Bowser actually flinched at that's which stunned Kammy all the more. "Eesh. Now that I've been in a relationship with Rosalina, and looking back on my past actions regarding those little adventures, I've just got to say...man, I tended to sound and act like a creep. No wonder she didn't wanna marry me. Who would wanna marry someone who was creeping upon them almost every day, kidnapping them and putting them high up in dark rooms surrounded by lava." Bowser grunted. "I can't help but feel...disgusted. Because I feel like I really let go of Peach in a more romantic view, and tried to start seeing her as simply my friend. Then I go back, and realize that I've done a lot of creepy things to someone I now see as my friend...makes me feel all gross and stuff. I don't like it."

Kammy blinkers absolutely astounded at what she was heading right now. Before she soon smiled. "You're expressing regret much more easily now. Which means that you're unlikely to ever do these things again. You've improved your moral compass for the ones you love, and became smarter and wiser. For the most part, anyway."

"For the most part? What does that mean?"

"It means you still have quite a ways to go, but you're definitely a far different Koopa King than you were before." Kammy smiled as she lightly patted his cheek. "I'm very proud of you. You've really been coming into your own."

"...Yeah, I dunno what you're talking about, as usual." Bowser snorted, folding his arms and tilting his head. "Anyway, what do you think? Do I have a chance did marrying Rosalina? Should I? For the kids?"

Kammy was silent for a moment, adjusting her glasses. "Your Unsureness, despite our differences, I'm here to provide you counsel, like Kamek. You'll always have our full support no matter what you do. What you're considering here is a very big decision, one that will not only affect you and your family, but the future of your Kingdom. But even with all of that in mind...you must do what's right by you."

"Wha?"

"Don't rush into this just because your children are impatient. If it's what you wants then it's what you want. If it isn't, it isn't. If you need more time to think, then take the time to think about it. This decision, depending on what you do, will certainly enrich your children's lives for sure. But be sure that it will enrich your life as well. You're their father, your Fatherliness. If you getting married will make you happy, then they will be happy as well. But only if you've chosen that path yourself. They talk a big game, but they really want you to make the decision on your own, and prompt you to think about it and make a decision on your own."

Bowser grumbled about how she was being all cryptic and complicated and stuff. Kammy sighed. For a Koopa so intelligent, sometimes common sense escapes him.

"Let me put things simply. Think about all of the times you've attempted to conquer Mushroom Kingdom, some other Kingdom, the entire world, or even the Galaxy."

"I don't wanna think about that last part, when this is about me and Rosalina..."

"Work with me. Every time you put an evil plan in motion, you relied mostly on your mind. You knew what you wanted, why you wanted, and was set on gaining it no matter what. That's the power of the resolve of your mind."

"Okay..."

"And now look at all the times where you've been good to your men just because, how you've attended some of the Mushroom Kingdom's parties without causing trouble, or fought alongside the Mario Brothers against various threats that would have stopped you from proceeding with your own plans. You don't have to be kind to your subjects, but you go out of your way to do so, temper aside. You don't have to tend some parties without wrecking them, but sometimes you decide to let this party be peaceful and fun. And you also don't have to team up with your hated enemies just to save the world, but you do so nearly every time the situation requires it. Your mind is usually set on evil in some of these cases, but you don't go the full mile."

"What's this leading up to...?"

Kammy flies lower to Bowser's chest, and lightly pokes where his heart was. "Every single one of those times, you chose with your heart rather than your mind. And every time you trusted your heart, it never lead you down a path that would leave you forever reprehensible. Whenever you chose with your heart, the denizens of Mushroom Kingdom would see that you're not as bad as you play yourself out to be. Whenever you trust your heart, Peach always notices. You can't hide that from her, she's got pink z hearts, and pink hearts all over the place!"

Bowser blinked as he considered what the elder Magikoopa was saying to him. Then he remembered that horrible thing he did which promoted him to seek out Rosalina in the first place, all the way back to the beginning. He lowered his head. "But...but what about when I...how can I...?"

"Remorse is one of the biggest signs of you indeed having a heart. Your love for your son has always surpassed your need to conquer, and thus you've found an entirely new path opened to you. It's upon you whether you want to keep walking on it or not." Kammy pulled away before flying past him. "I'll take care of those meddling Koopalings. It's almost snack time, and I've magicked up some smores!"

As Kammy left his field of vision, Bowser thought over what he was told. Trust his heart? Many of those times he trusted his heart over his mind, he ended up helping people, including his supposed mortal enemies. It was those times where she didn't think too much about things and simply did what he believed was right for him.

What was right for him, was seeing his family and Kingdom happy. What was also right for him was wanting to be happy alongside all of them. So, could he really do it?

Can I really marry you, Rosalina...?

"That is an interesting question."

Bowser froze at the all too familiar voice. He slowly, nervously, turned his head around, praying to the Star Spirits above that it wasn't who it obviously was.

Nope. His prayers went unanswered. Rosalina was leaning against the window while levitating, a curious look in her eyes. "Forgive me. You looked like you were in deep thought. I wasn't able to get your attention, so I used my telepathy to try and call you...and this is what I hear."

Bowser, having an opened jawed look of shock on his face as well as appearing the reddest he's ever been, has officially decided right then and there-he'd even declare it a royal decree if he could-that he hated telepathy.

Bowser should really be careful when he's thinking aloud around Rosalina, even if she says she won't use it, sometimes the thoughts are too strong to ignore. Like right now, for instance.

Some times things can slip out before he's ready to really address them. Cause right now he just blurted out-via thoughts-what and how he feels at this point in a simple phrase, and right now, is nowhere near calm and collected enough to address it properly like he planned to. No prep time.

Ain't that just cheeky?
