Hey all! I think it's about time for another chapter. Hope you enjoyed Bagan's first and only appearance in the story. I always found it funny how overpowered the fandom makes him when he's in fact a cancelled monster, so I enjoyed toying with that to make him a weakling since he was never given an official appearance to show off his powers(outside of a mediocre videogame that is). He was a fun character to do. But now we move on to something big. You guys probably remember that my version of Gyaos was a nod to Burgess Meredith's Penguin from the original Batman show, and he was teamed with Legion and Iris and coming to Earth. That plot point never went anywhere, because the show ended. I had major plans for it, and those plans are still happening here...but given a complete redo. I wanted to give some other Kaiju time to shine, some Kaiju I feel need more attention and make a more unique threat to the protagonists than Gyaos would. Gyaos birds are still present, but a more simply minions to these baddies rather than a major villain force. But who replaces Gyaos? Oh, you'll see. Let's get to it.

Chapter 8

The New Threat

The silhouette of the dreaded spaceship Zanon passed over the decimated city. The once beautiful Land of Light known as M78 was in complete ruins. Many Ultra warriors had fought their hardest on this day. And many had perished. Father of Ultra looked around in despair, at the chaos that surrounded him. Ultras he had known his whole life, Ultras he'd watched grow up, and newbies that had showed great potential, were all gone. With his last bit of strength, he leaped at the cloaked figure that stood before him, only to be swarmed by hundreds of Gyaos birds. Normally, these pests weren't a big deal, but Father was in far from top form, and the birds easily overwhelmed him with their cutting rays, talons, and fangs. The cloaked figure known as Ultraman Belial looked at him and grinned. "You've lost your touch, old man."

"You won't win, Belial. When the Ultra Brothers find you..."

"What are they gonna do? Your entire planet couldn't stop me! You think a few other warriors have a chance? I highly doubt it." He motioned to one of the creatures with him. The powerful Iris floated forward, wrapping his tentacles around Father's throat, and dragging him into the nearby building. Inside was a small, but powerful orb of light.

"So that's it, huh," asked Guilala with a belch. "The source of your power?" Father just stared at the hideous creature defiantly.

Suddenly, the powerful and indestructible Gorgo slammed her powerful fist into Father's face. "ANSWER THE BLOODY QUESTION," she screamed, as she continued to pummel him.

"Why don't you just ask him," said Father, gesturing to Belial. "He's the traitor."

Belial smirked. "It is. Guilala, it's all yours."

"Yum," said Guilala with a laugh. He walked over to the Ultras' artificial sun, and immediately began absorbing its energy.

While Guilala feasted, Belial turned to his former friend. Gorgo held Father up, and a dark sword appeared in Belial's hand. "Recognize this blade, old man? I believe it gave you a rather nasty scar once." He began striking viciously on the already injured Ultra. He groaned and yelled out with each strike, and Belial continued to strike harder and harder. Finally, he grinned. "Tell the wife that the emperor and I send our regards." And with that, he plunged the sword into Father's heart, and the light faded from his eyes, forever.

Gorgo released him, and his body fell to the ground. Belial cracked his neck. "Ah, that was too much fun. The emperor will be pleased. Though I imagine Taro will be rather pissed."

"Should we leave," asked Legion, guarding the doorway.

"Not with my new power," said Guilala, absorbing the last of the light. "I feel tough enough to take on the whole danged Garrison!" He danced over to Belial. "This partnership was a great idea! But, you know...I still would like to get my hands on this ultimate power source you told me of."

"You'll get it," said Belial. "But first, I want you to do me a favor."

"I just helped you wipe out your whole planet," griped Guilala. "Give me my power!"

Belial grabbed Guilala by the throat. "Listen you worm, I hired you and your scumbag gang to help me. And I've given you tremendous power to do so. But don't think for one second that my own power isn't enough to keep you in line. I can end you right here. And even if you could take me, you'd be no match for my master."

"Uh, yeah," said Guilala nervously. "Right. Like I meant to say, we'd love to do another job for you!"

"Idiot," said Belial, and he tossed the Kaiju to the ground. "Anyhow, to prove your worth to me and my master. I'd like you to use your newfound powers. You are going to Earth. And you are going to bring me the head of the Kaiju known as, Godzilla."

"With these powers," asked Guilala. "Simple."

Iris laughed. "Weakling. You may have the powers, but you don't know how to use them. You and your gang are still as worthless as you ever were. Belial, why are we wasting our time with them?"

Legion angrily began storming toward Iris. But Guilala held up a hand to stop her. Then, he began to glow a strong shade of red, and ran toward Iris, throwing his arms around him. Iris also turned red now, and began to scream in horror and agony. He tried to shake himself free, but Guilala would not let go. He tried to stab with his tentacles, but they crumbled to dust upon entering his now burning flesh.

"BELIAL! HELP ME!" But Belial only watched, and within seconds, Iris, one of the most powerful Kaiju of all time, was reduced to a smoldering corpse.

"Was that really necessary," asked Belial.

Guilala shrugged, as his color returned to normal. "Least we know I know how to use my power."

"Guilala, Guilala," yelled the gigantic bird known as the Giant Claw, as he flew into the building. "It's getting cold out there! I'm freezing my feathered rump off!"

"Yes," said Belial. "Now that the artificial sun is gone, M78 will soon be a frozen wasteland. Any Ultras still alive on this planet will be frozen solid for all eternity."

"That's cold," joked Legion.

"I suggest you get going," said Belial. "It's a long trip to Earth." And with that, he teleported back to his emperor's palace.

At the palace, in a far off galaxy, Belial walked through the dark corridors, and into the central chamber where the Dark Four Heavenly Kings awaited him. The group consisted of four aliens; Mephilas, Yapool, Nackle, and Baltan. The room was also filled with various other aliens, who were of lower rank than the four, but just as devoted to their cause. All four members wore dark robes, similar to Belial's.

"You're late," grumbled the wise Mephilas.

"No, you're just early," said Belial. "Time revolves around me, not your pathetic schedule!"

"Where's Iris," demanded Baltan.

"Dead. Our partner had some fun with his new powers."

The alien known as Zarab angrily approached Belial. "Fool! That Kaiju was our trump card! We needed him!"

Belial took out his dark sword. "You just never learn to keep your mouth shut, do you?" And with that, he slit Zarab's throat, and the alien fell to the ground and exploded.

"You know," said Nackle. "The emperor isn't going to tolerate you killing so many of his followers anytime they tick you off."

"I don't do it every time. You four are still around aren't you?"

"Only because you don't dare kill us," said Yapool. "Don't forget, without the Dark Four Heavenly Kings, the emperor's return can't happen. You outrank us, Belial, but you still need us. You would do well to remember that."

"Enough," said Mephilas. "Anyway, I assume by your presence that the Ultras aren't a problem anymore."

"Quite so," said Belial. "And Guilala is heading to Earth to bring us the head of Godzilla. With all that power at our disposal, we can easily bring the emperor back."

"I still don't think it wise to trust that thug with all that power," said Baltan.

"Then trust me," said Belial.

"That would be even more foolish," said Nackle.

Belial ignored the comment. "Guilala is a power hungry fool. He believes we'll give him unlimited power for helping us. Instead, we'll use all the power he's stolen to restore life to the great emperor!"

"Almost poetic," said Yapool. "Restored with Ultra power. The very power source that ended him. This will be glorious indeed. It might even be worth putting up with you imbeciles."

"Ah, now you've gone and hurt my feelings," said a sarcastic Nackle. "Don't tell me you despise my handsome features."

"Believe me," said Yapool. "When this is over and we've become victorious, I have gruesome plans for each and every one of you. You'll become Chojuh in my army, and follow my every command."

"You say that every day," said Baltan. "We get it! You're a complete jerk who hates working with others! You don't have to remind us this much!"

"I HOPE THIS PLAN OF YOURS WORKS SOON, BELIAL," boomed a powerful voice from the darkness.

Everyone, including the Four Kings and Belial bowed and shook with fear. Belial addressed the voice. "Master, I had no idea you were watching."

"I WATCH EVERYTHING! AND THIS PLAN HAD BETTER NOT FAIL! I GROW IMPATIENT WAITING HERE IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL!"

"Do not worry master. Everything is in hand. Your return to us will be magnificent."

"EXCELLENT. AND ONE OTHER THING. I GRANTED YOU MY SWORD TO SETTLE MY OLD SCORE WITH FATHER OF ULTRA. BUT YOU WILL NOT USE IT TO KILL ANYMORE OF MY LOYAL FOLLOWERS. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"

"Absolutely sir," said Belial. "My apologies."

"DO NOT FAIL BELIAL, OR THE PUNISHMENT WILL BE BEYOND WHAT YOUR MIND CAN COMPREHEND!" And the voice died away.

"Oh dear," said the alien Dada from a corner of the room. "That voice gives me the shivers!"

"I think I wet myself," said the alien Metron beside him.

"Yeah...I noticed...," said the alien Magma, standing in the puddle of Metron's piss.

"Quiet, all of you," ordered Mephilas. "The emperor grows impatient. We must hope our allies do their job quickly!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S GONNA TAKE A YEAR," screamed Guilala on board spaceship Zanon."

"Hey, don't yell at me," griped the Giant Claw. "I told you when we designed this flying garbage heap that we needed more rocket power. This thing is the slowest ship in the galaxy!"

"I suppose it will have to suffice," said Guilala.

"So Gorgo," said Legion. "You're from Earth. How tough is this Godzilla? Can't be worse than Gamera."

"Never actually met the bugger," said Gorgo. "But I've heard the tales. We're in for a hell of a fight. And that's fine by me. I have the strength, Guilala has the power, you have your bloody kids, and I guess the Giant Claw can always annoy him to death. We got this."

"If that's your attitude, prepare to lose," said the 50 Foot Woman, entering the bridge.

"Ah, Miss Archer," said Guilala. "Nice of you to join our attack on M78...NOT!"

"Shut it," said Nancy. "Humans and the Land of Light don't exactly mix."

"What was that about losing," asked Legion.

Nancy rolled her eyes. "Godzilla and Gamera are far from the only threats we'll face on Earth. You're gonna need a real miracle to get through all the Kaiju on Monster Island."

Guilala smiled. "Don't forget, I have that miracle. Even if my powers fail, my secret weapon won't." He looked over at the large jar connected to all the powerful laboratory equipment. Inside the jar was a gigantic heart, beating steadily. "The beauty I found in Tokyo Bay back in 2001. It will be ready by the time we reach Earth, and Godzilla will face the true King of the Monsters."
