Hey all! It's been an incredibly long time, but I'm back to give you the next chapter. I already explained about the wreck, and yes Cartoon-Movie-Game-Comic-Fan, the asshole that hit us was caught thanks to two witnesses to the hit and run that actually followed him and told the police. His trial is next week, and I sincerely hope he rots. As I mentioned, my niece's jaw was broken, but she's made a full recovery and is her old self again. I have removed the chapter I made regarding the incident, as it's no longer needed. If anyone wants any specific details, I'm more than happy to answer questions. We had another bit of trouble recently that halted the story's progress, when the family dog died. The kids were hit really hard by the news, and needed extra love and attention. But I am back, and ready to deliver the goods.
I hope you enjoyed the changes I made last chapter with MechaGodzilla. In case you didn't notice, I tried to make it a combination of the four major live action versions we've had, though I mostly went with the Showa MechaG as well as the Monsterverse one, those two easily being my favorites. I dunno. I guess in my mind, MechaGodzilla works so much better as a villain, and those two versions just seem so much more deadly and terrifying. Today, we do one of my favorite episodes I made back in the day, because it gave me a chance to do something a little more dramatic as opposed to the usual comedy. I hope I do it justice here. Without further ado, let's dive in.
Chapter 13
Gigan Begins
On the planet Aquitar, 200 years ago, a peaceful monster named Gigan roamed around near his favorite pool of water. He hummed a happy tune to himself as he contemplated what to do with the rest of his day.
He eyed a cute flogel bether and crouched down to pet it. Flogels typically were very timid creatures, who would run away from any Kaiju that came near. But Gigan had a way with animals that was beyond compare. They seemed comforted by his natural good nature, and loving carefree view of everything.
But as he was petting the creature, it suddenly became tense and ran off, diving into the pool nearby. "Wait," called Gigan, in a caring and soft voice. "Did I scare you off?" He got his answer when a massive beam of energy suddenly struck him in the face. The pain was immediate, and intense, and he cried out as he felt his body shutting down. He collapsed in a cloud of dust, and could only watch as strange little creatures approached him. "What's going on? Somebody help me!"
The leader of these strange bugs just smiled. "Alright Nebulans. You know the Chairman's orders."
"Yes, Mr. Kubota," said another bug.
"I don't understand," said Gigan. "What do you want from me?" Kubota just grinned, and waved his hand, obviously signaling one of his cronies to blast Gigan again, this time knocking him out completely.
The torture seemed endless. Gigan cried, and pleaded to be released, or at this point, just killed. The Nebulans had already cut off his hands and feet, and ripped his mouth apart, and removed his eyes. every piece they'd taken had been replaced with robotic weaponry, or metal claws. They'd even drilled a hole in his head to install a laser. And through all of it, he'd been fully conscious.
"Please," he begged the evil monster called Kubota. Although Kubota and the other Nebulans were really small compared to him, he feared them tremendously. They were intelligent, but also sadistic. "No more. Just let me go. Please!"
"Insolent fool," said Kubota. "I would think you'd be grateful for these weapons we've equipped you with. As you were before, you could never have defended yourself. Now, you're a creature of pure horror."
"I was happy how I was! Please! I never wanted this!"
"But you got it anyway. And you're going to be trained to do every thing we tell you to." Kubota turned to another cockroach. "His voice is far from intimidating. I want the voice box removed, and replaced with one of our cyborg ones."
"At once sir."
"NO! SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!" Gigan froze in terror, as he saw a massive chainsaw being lowered toward his stomach. "What is that!?"
Kubota smirked, that cocky smirk Gigan had learned to hate. "It's for you...". Within seconds, a big machine used massive blades to rip Gigan's stomach open, to make room for the chainsaw. Gigan's pathetic screams would have brought the pity of any kind heart that heard it. Sadly, there were no kind hearts in this house of pain.
Gigan sat in the dark dungeon, crying his eye out. It still hurt. Every part of him was aflame with pain. But thankfully, their work was done, and for now anyway, he could find some small bit of peace. Gigan shifted uncomfortably, sensing somebody approaching him in the darkness.
"You new here," asked the creature. It looked like some type of huge beetle.
"Who are you," asked Gigan, getting up and backing away.
"It's ok, little guy. You're among friends here. My name is Megalon."
It was then that Gigan noticed this creature had drills for hands, and immediately put two and two together. "I'm guessin' those things ain't natural?"
Megalon looked down at the drills and sighed. "Yeah...these Nebulans are monsters. Just be glad you're one of the lucky ones so far."
"LUCKY!?"
"Yeah," said Megalon. "Sometimes, the operations have really damaging side effects." He then pointed to a creature nearby with a huge blade in his head. "Look at him."
"GUIRON WILL CHOP ALL THINGS IN HALF, HUR HUR HUR HUR." The creature was clearly insane.
"Guiron once had the heart and mind of a poet. Then they shoved that knife in his head. Brain damage like that can really change a person. And once it does, there's no going back."
Gigan dropped to his knees in shock. "My god..."
"Got a name," asked Megalon, still staring at Guiron with sad eyes. The two had clearly been friends."
"My name is Gigan. So uh, you seen any other creatures like me?"
"No," said Megalon.
"Good. They didn't get my family."
"Oh..."
"What," asked Gigan.
"No. It's better you don't know."
"What!? Please! If it's my family, I have to know!"
Megalon sighed. "Look, there's no easy way to say it. But, the Nebulans only take one of any species, and they don't like to risk their weapons being copied by others, so...to ensure there's only one...they wipe out the rest. I'm sorry, but...if you're here, your family is gone."
There was no controlling it, Gigan immediately broke down sobbing. Megalon placed his drill comfortingly on Gigan's back. "It's ok, little guy. It's ok."
"I have no one! My family! No!"
"You have me little guy. I swear, I'll look after you for the rest of my life."
Gigan waited anxiously. It had been hours since those butchers had brought Megalon out of the dungeon for another operation. What were they doing to him? He just wanted his new friend. The only guy that could help him here. Gigan had never been so terrified in his life, but if he had Megalon, he at least didn't feel alone, and knew he'd be taken care of.
Then he heard the dungeon door opening. Megalon came running in, almost crashing into Gigan. Gigan nearly had to look away when he saw the star shaped horn now in Megalon's head. That had to hurt. "You ok, man?"
Megalon looked at him, and burst into uncontrollable laughter. "YEAH!" He pointed to the star. "Look! I look like a Christmas Tree!" He howled with laughter as Gigan just stared at him. Megalon began jumping excitedly. "You wanna bounce like a bunny rabbit with me!?"
Gigan's heart sunk as the horrific realization hit him. "No...No no! Not you!" But it was true. The horn that had been placed in his head had severely damaged his brain. Megalon would never be the same again.
Megalon cocked his head. "Are you the one that's gonna take care of me?"
Gigan swallowed, as he began to weep. Then he nodded. "Yeah...Don't worry little guy. I swear, I'll look after you for the rest of my life."
