Moving on, we are slowly approaching the end of the first season arc. So much away I do not want to spoil but the next chapter will not end so nice. I'll say that much already.

Since many have brought up the hypnosis theory I will say it as it affects Alicia and how the world works here in the first place. So as has been said several times, cartoon physics works differently on Alicia than it does on Eddie Valiant and Michael Jordan. She can get hurt and yes she can die! But with the toon blood in her body, she could react to cartoon physics just like Eddie and Michael in Toontown/Looney Tunes world.

The hypnosis of the devil also works on them but is limited. So she can defend herself. This is due to the liquid she drank to be immortal.

I also like the ideas you have suggested. I will definitely use them and also plan to add bosses to the story that didn't appear in the actual show, such as Dr. Kahl. For Djimmi I have already thought of a separate episode that will be more or less based on Aladdin.

Feel free to give me design suggestions and traits the bosses should get. Also how the episode should be structured in which they appear.

In general, I'm always open to this kind of thing and also to changes within the chapters. Also I have planned to add DLC characters to the story. Yes, Saltbaker will also appear.

Until then!

On a quiet day at the cottage, Elder Kettle prepared breakfast and walked up the stairs past several pictures of him from his youth. One showed him as a muscleman holding a ten-pound dumbbell with ease with only one hand. A picture next to it showed him as a swimmer, swimming a lap in the water, wearing goggles. In the last picture he can be seen as a football player running with the football in his hand. All the pictures have one thing in common. His mustache had hair and was not metallic. This confused Alicia a bit when she saw the pictures for the first time. But she thought nothing of it and walked past them like the now elderly Elder Kettle.

"Yoo-hoo! Boys! Breakfast is ready!" he said as he knocked on the door of the two brothers who were in the room with Cuppy. "Be right there, Elder Kettle!" said the three as Elder Kettle was about to leave to tell Alicia and Blood that breakfast was ready. The two always stayed awake a little longer than the three brothers. Most of the time it was the job of the three to wake them up which usually ended with one of them getting a pillow in the face or being pushed out of the room. Neither were early risers. You could see that in their faces. But Cuppy already knew that about Alicia. Whenever she visited them and slept either in the guest room or in the devil's bedchamber, she had to be woken up by Cuppy or Lucifer.

"Isn't he the greatest?" Mugman said as Elder Kettle stopped and turned toward the door from the three of them. He didn't know if he had misheard, but he wanted to be sure and listened to what the three were saying. "Yeah. I can't believe how full of life he is, especially for his age" said Cuphead "Don't ya just love him?" Cuppy asked, causing Elder Kettle to blush slightly. He didn't know that they liked him so much even if he was a bit strict with them. "Mugman, Cuppy," he said softly with joy until Cuphead spoke up, "Eh. I'm still in the like stage" that surprised him and annoyed him a lot. "Cuphead" he growled slightly annoyed as he looked towards the door. "What's not to love?!", "Well, for one thing, he's dirty, filthy, and disgusting!".

This shocked Elder Kettle very much, so he looked at his hands. "He can't help the way he is" Mugman said. "Now let's eat. I'm starvin'!" Cuppy said as Elder Kettle heard their footsteps approaching the door. He walked down the hallway in a panic, not noticing the oil lamp that was in his way, which he ran into before going downstairs and rubbing his head. He went into the kitchen and looked at himself reflected in the outside of the pot. From the position it did not look very nice for him which made him sad. "Maybe I am disgusting" he said until he remembered that Alicia and Blood were still asleep in their beds and needed to be woken up as well.

Hopefully they have a different opinion towards me than the three boys. He went to the door of the guest room and listened. "Well, I think we should get rid of him," Elder Kettle shuddered when he heard this and grabbed his chest. "Don't you think you're overdoing it, Blood?" Alicia asked him, to which Elder Kettle could only nod. "At least he only has a few scuffs and wrinkles..." Elder Kettle was confused and looked at himself again in the mirror where you could see his wrinkles and scratches. "The garbage can will do!" that scared him even more. So Elder Kettle went back to the kitchen. He couldn't believe what the others thought of him. His eyes wandered to a bottle sitting on the stove. Jimbo's Spit Shine was written on it. He took the bottle and the light blue cloth that was lying next to it.

He removed the cork and put some of the liquid on the cloth. With this he rubbed his arm and noticed that the spot was now shining. This pleased him very much that he completely doused himself with the liquid and even drank it. Downstairs, the three brothers knocked on the door of the guest room before they opened it and saw Alicia and Blood talking. "Alright, we can still decide" she said as she looked at the three brothers. "Come our breakfast is ready!" asked Mugman of the two. Alicia and Blood got up and followed the three brothers. Cuphead and Mugman went ahead. "Then I says-" suddenly a bright light shone in both of their faces. It was so bright that the pupils broke into small pieces while the two covered their eyes with their hands.

This confused Alicia, Blood and Cuppy when they saw the two in the doorway. "My eyeballs are on fire!" Mugman said. "Why is it so bright?!" Alicia asked as she pushed the two out of the way and wanted to go into the kitchen herself to find out what was glowing so strongly. But she could only just make out that it was Elder Kettle. She closed her eyes as did Blood and Cuppy. "Just your dear Elder Kettle looking his shiny best" The light disappeared and the five saw Elder Kettle who was oiled from head to toe and rejuvenated. Well, almost. In his two hands he held a plate with scrambled eggs and bacon, which he placed on the table with the other plates. "Not a single bacon, scuffs, wrinkles or smudge" he said with a grin that confused the others. "No, sirree!".

The five walked over to the table and sat down while Elder Kettle Mugman placed his plate in front of him "Hope you love it" he said before turning to Cuppy and pinching his cheek "I hope it tastes good" his gaze moved from Cuppy who was rubbing his cheek to Cuphead who he looked at angrily "Hope it's in the like stage" he said and walked over to Alicia and Blood who he was both looking over his shoulder at. He said nothing to them which confused not only them but also Cuphead. "What's with him?" Cuphead asked as he looked to the others. "I don't know," Alicia said as she ate her portion. The others were about to eat when they looked at Elder Kettle who was showing them his oiled back. "Get a load of this shine, would ya?" he said proudly and was about to leave when Alicia saw the bottle lying on the floor that Elder Kettle was threatening to step on. "Elder Kettle watch out!" she said but it was already too late.

"I... Whoa!" he stepped on it and slipped, landing on the shelf while the others looked at him in confusion. "E-everything's fine! Still shiny!" he said with a nervous chuckle and a flowerpot on his head which he removed. This made him dirty and look the same as before. Coughing, he waved the dust away while the others didn't really know what to say. The three brothers went upstairs to their room with their plates. "Thanks for breakfast," Mugman said. Alicia and Blood remained seated. Elder Kettle walked over to them while rubbing the sore spot. "That bump doesn't look good," Blood said. This confused Elder Kettle as he went to the mirror and looked at himself. A small bump appeared where the flowerpot had been before. He was shocked and was about to turn to the two when they walked out of the kitchen. "See you later, Elder Kettle," Alicia said as she and Blood walked into the guest room. The plates were eaten empty and stood next to the sink.

But Elder Kettle was not really pleased that his action had brought nothing. "Aw, that didn't go well" he said with the flower pot in his hand. He looked at it before his eyes wandered to the guest room door and upstairs. "Wonder what they're saying about me now." He walked up to the guest room door and listened. "So I'm still wondering if we should really throw him away" Elder Kettle swallowed nervously when he heard that. "What do you mean consider? It is already old and decrepit", "Yes you are right" Elder Kettle shrugged when he heard that and went upstairs. With a glass by the door, he listened to what the three brothers were saying. "Looks like we were wrong about how great he's doing" said Mugman "Yeah, he's going downhill" Cuppy added "We gotta do something fast".

Elder Kettle gasped when he heard this. The three brothers heard it too. "Did you hear a gasp?" asked Cuppy as Elder Kettle fell to the ground in panic. "Uh, sorry about that, boys. I just gasped twice and fell down" declared Elder Kettle "But I'm fine! I'm walking away now! Toodle-oo!" he stopped at the spot and made a running motion with his legs but stopped in front of the door he was approaching. "Let's be realistic, Mugsy. I don't think we can take care of him anymore", "Are you suggesting that we send him away?". Elder Kettle was confused. "Send me away?". But he heard Cuppy's voice and hoped he was on his side. Unfortunately, that was not the case. "I'm not sure we have any choice" now he was even more afraid and ran away. But he fell down on the floor and looked at the table where his war medals and badges were.

He wasn't sure but panic won and he wanted to run downstairs but ran into the lamp again. He thundered backwards into the table and the photos and medals threatened to fall down. But he was able to catch them in time. "Elder Kettle? Are you okay?" someone asked him. He looked up and saw Mugman and Cuppy standing in front of him looking at him worriedly. Cuphead was the last to join them. For whatever reason, he stood bolt upright and looked nervously at the three cups. "Never been better! Just rearranging a few things" he said and wanted to put a picture frame on the table when Mugman and Cuppy tried to help him. "Here, let us help you" but as soon as they moved a muscle, Elder Kettle went back and looked at the three of them angrily, which frightened Mugman and Cuppy. Only Cuphead seemed to remain neutral.

"Shoo! Scat!" Elder Kettle waved the one picture frame to shoo the three away. "I am perfectly capable of doing things on my own" he said, placing the photo upside down and the badges sideways. "Are you okay, Elder Kettle?" Cuphead asked him. "I'm not old!" he yelled at the three before running off, leaving the three cups confused. But he ran into the lamp again. Feeling the pain, he rubbed the sore spot harder as he walked down the stairs and heard the voices of Alicia and Blood. "Alright, you're right Blood, I'll throw him away" said Alicia. That was enough for Elder Kettle to walk out of the house. He looked at the two windows that showed both the guest room and the room of the two brothers. His attention fell on his lucky tire on which the goat was lying. He grabbed it and pulled it with him, causing the goat to fall. It made a baahh sound before grazing on.

His gaze wandered to the house. "Uh, yoo-hoo Boys, Alicia and Blood!" said Elder Kettle as the two windows opened. Out of them Alicia, Blood, and the three cup brothers looked out in confusion as they opened the windows. "Watch this" said Elder Kettle as he warmed up. "Um what are you up to?" asked Alicia as Elder Kettle tried to lift the tire. But this one was a little heavier than it looks. "I think you better leave that alone before you..." said Blood as Elder Kettle fell to the ground. "Ta-da!". But the three cups were only confused "What are you doing?" Cuphead asked. "You poor elderly thing" Mugman said worriedly about him. "Are you all right? Are you hurt?" asked Alicia. But this was getting on Elder Kettle's nerves. "I'm not hurt. Not one bit" he said while rolling on the ground with the tire in his hand. "I'm hip" but as he was about to throw the tire away the five heard only a crack followed by a "My hip!" from Elder Kettle. "Do you need some help?" asked Cuppy of him.

"No! I'm fine!" he said as Alicia and Blood closed the window. Only the three cups looked at him, which he noticed."Now close the window or you're grounded!" the three looked at each other before closing the window with a shrug. "Aw, dishwater. Now what are they gonna say about me?" He went to Alicia and Blood's window first and listened to them. But he could not see what they were talking about at all. Alicia was holding the dress she wore to the ball in her hands, which was torn and scratched by the flight from the devil and hell itself. Returning it was not an option and whether Sally would want it or not Alicia did not know. "Well think about it, if you put it on again and you get chased by him it won't last much longer. So the only option now is to get rid of it once and for all" Of course, Elder Kettle heard only the last two words. "So get rid of me Hmm?" said Elder Kettle annoyed when he heard Blood's statement. But he still wanted to know what the boys would say to him.

He looked around and saw a wooden ladder with which he climbed to the window of Cuphead and Mugman's bedroom. From the outside he looked into the room where he saw the three of them under a red blanket that they had set up like a tent with two chairs as support columns so that the blanket wouldn't land on them. He could see the three of them and what they were doing. Well, not quite. "I know you love him, Mugsy, but what other option is there? I mean, look at him" said Cuphead as the three looked under the blanket at a lid of a shoebox. In it, next to a cookie, was a worm that didn't look so good. A clinical thermometer that lay next to the shoe lid was raised to the top. That they could not take care of the worm was clear. The worm moved briefly but was too weak.

Mugman was close to tears before he wiped them away. "He used to be so full of life, but now..." Cuppy tried to calm him down by tapping him gently on the shoulder. "You're right, Cuphead and Cuppy. We need to put him out of his misery" Elder Kettle who was outside heard this and was very shocked. "We should do it sooner rather than later" said Cuppy "He's not gonna suffer, is he?" Mugman asked him "We'll make it quick and painless" Cuphead replied. Elder Kettle leaned back in shock when he heard this, not realizing until too late that the ladder had tipped over and landed on the floor. The others heard this and looked out the window again. "Oh no!" said Alicia as she and Blood walked away from the window and ran out the back door. The three cups followed them to the Elder Kettle now lying on the ground buried by the ladder.

The five did not think long and brought him into the house. Well Blood took the ladder down from him while Alicia carried him in her arms into the house. They took him to his bedroom where they took care of his scrapes and wounds while covering him up. "Phew, thank God he's okay," Mugman said with relief as he wiped the sweat from his brow. "But why would he be buried by a ladder?" wondered Cuppy as he scratched his chin thoughtfully. The roof had already been re-trimmed and there were no other problems so why the ladder? "Maybe he wanted to clean the windows?" said Mugman as the others looked at him in confusion. "Then please tell me where the bucket of water and detergent is?" said Alicia. That the whole thing didn't make sense was obvious. Especially since Mugman cleans the windows himself anyway.

"We should let him rest for now and then ask him when he has regained consciousness" suggested Blood. Everyone nodded and agreed as they left the room. But before everyone really left the room, Cuphead, Cuppy and Mugman turned around. "Poor Elder Kettle" the three cups turned over and walked out of the room. "You know him. He never slows down! He's so full of life!" Cuphead said before Cuppy held out his hand with the worm in it "Not like this poor little guy" he said sadly. Alicia, noticing that the three were still in the room, saw the worm. "You'd better bury him" she suggested. The three closed their eyes and walked out of the room past Alicia with their heads down. "Let's go take care of it" said Cuphead.

But what no one noticed was that Elder Kettle slowly woke up and heard a part of the conversation. "Oh, wha...?" he said as he stood up and grabbed his head. "What do we do with his body?" asked Cuppy, startling the now awake Elder Kettle. He looked to the open door where he saw the shadows of the three cups and Alicia in the hallway. "We could bury him in the backyard," said Mugman. "Yeah. That way, he'll still kinda be with us" Cuphead said, to which Alicia just nodded in agreement. Even if she was not a fan of worms. But burying him in the backyard would be better. "We should make a not so big hole though" said Alicia. "What do you want to do with the garbage bag?" Cuphead asked her. "Oh that's where the rest of the..." she said but Elder Kettle overheard.

His thoughts were more or less designed to think that the three cups, Alicia and Blood were going to cut him into several pieces and get rid of him in different ways. "Agreed," said Mugman. He, Cuppy and Cuphead were now holding a shovel while Alicia was still holding the trash bag and following the three. "They're gonna kill me!" Elder Kettle said in panic when he heard this. "They're going to kill me, chop me up into little pieces and bury me in the backyard!" he said. "Oh where did things go so wrong?!" he asked himself. His eyes wandered to the nightstand next to his bed where between the alarm clock and a lamp was a photo frame of the two brothers smiling at him. Right behind it was another larger group photo with Alicia, Blood and Cuppy standing in front of the front door and smiling. "Traitors" with his hand he turned the two photo frames on the floor.

"Get it together, Kettle" he tried to calm down and slowly stood up "They're just three litte boys, one young female Adult and an anthropomorphic Wolf". He now stood completely on the bed and thought of the time when he had fought in the war. He was not weak, no he was brave. "You're a decorated war hero!". Marching out of the room he went to the table where his past and his medals earned in the war were. He took the helmet from the wall, his service medals and the sword. From the closet in his room he took out his old military clothes that surprisingly still fit him. He pinned the badges to his chest and drove the sword into the sheath. He put the helmet on his head before looking to the window where he saw the five watching Cuppy digging a hole. "Keep digging, boys, Alicia and Blood," he said.

Alicia didn't know why, but she turned briefly to the window when she saw Elder Kettle looking down menacingly at the five. Okay, that's more than creepy. She turned to Cuppy who was done with the hole. "Phew! That oughta do it!" he said with relief. Cuphead, holding the worm in his hand, placed it in the hole. They laid it straight down before all five looked down at the worm. "Should we say a few words?" asked Mugman as he looked at the others and then looked at Alicia and Blood. "Sure" said Blood. The honor was given to Cuphead who said a strange speech. Anyway, Alicia has never heard anything like it. Especially not at a worm's burial. "Shoelace, mailbox, slingshot, octopus, bagel, lipstick..." He kept talking which was getting on Mugman and Cuppy's nerves. "Ice cream cone-" "Can we just bury the earthworm already?" asked Cuppy annoyed as Cuphead nodded and he and Mugman did the work for him and dug the hole with earth.

With the worm under the ground, the five were silent until they heard a squeaking sound coming from the hole. This confused the five very much because they actually thought that he was dead but that was not the case. Out of the hole came the worm, which was reborn again. Well, he looked better than before. "Ah! Nothing like the taste of fresh soil" said the worm. Okay worms that can talk scare me. Raul the snail was fine as was the rest of the Moonshine mob. But this was beyond creepy for Alicia. But that pleased the three cups very much that their pet was alive. "He's alive!". "Thanks, Cuphead, Cuppy and Mugman. "You really helped a worm out" said the worm before saluting them and disappearing into the earth. "It's a miracle!" said the three cups. But Alicia and Blood gave themselves a face palm. "Um Alicia do you want to dispose of the dress?" cuppy asked her. "Oh uh yes of course" she said and walked over to the garbage can to put the garbage bag in before walking with the others to the front door.

"Let's tell Elder Kettle the good news!" Mugman suggested as he opened the door. But Blood and Alicia saw that something was wrong and Alicia grabbed the handle from Mugman. "Elder Kettle! Whoa!". Blood held Cuphead and Cuppy tightly "Hey!", "What gives?" the two asked. "You almost tripped on something" Alicia explained to them as she pointed to a taut string stretched across the floor in the doorway. "Piano wire?" said Blood as he nudged the string. The two young adults lowered the three cups to the floor. "Huh," said Cuppy. But Mugman noticed something. "And is that..." In the middle of the room was a trap covered with leaves. "A tiger trap in the living room?" he asked, confused. "But there are no tigers here?" said Cuppy, confused. "And look!" said Alicia as she pointed to the stairs where grease was running down. "Did someone grease the stairs?". "This whole room is booby-trapped" said Mugman.

That was true. The piano hung on ropes from the ceiling just like an anvil, a trench was around the sofa while the floor was occupied by mousetraps and bear traps. "What is all this?" wondered Mugman as he looked to the others. "Like what you see boys, Alicia and Blood?" a voice asked the five. The group looked up at the stairs where a shadow approached them, showing itself to the light. It was Elder Kettle. "Is that you?" asked Alicia "Elder Kettle?" Mugman asked. "That's right!" said Elder Kettle as he slowly approached the five. "And guess what?". The five looked at each other in confusion before looking up at him. "You'll never take me ali-" he was about to pull his sword out of its sheath when he slipped on the grease "Wh-Wh-Whoa!" he yelled and fell down the stairs but slammed into the wall, landing on a wooden table in the living room.

"Ooh!" the five said at the same time when they saw how painfully he fell. But Elder Kettle was fine and only groaned in pain as he slowly stood up. "I'm okay. Still got the upper hand" he said slightly woozy as he ran backwards into the piano wire which fired a tense bow with three arrows all hitting Elder Kettle "Ow!" he yelled as the others looked away or closed their eyes. "Oh, boy! That really smarts!" with the three arrows in his back, he ran backwards again into the next trap. This time it was a bear trap. But the five closed their eyes before they saw it snap shut. "Ow! My leg!" he yelled out. The eyes of the five opened and followed Elder Kettle as he ran into another trap before covering their eyes. "My other leg!" screamed Elder Kettle.

The whole thing went on and on until the five heard an explosion. This threw Elder Kettle through the air and across the living room. Um, why am I hearing The Flower Duet by Léo Delibes in the background? Alicia asked herself as she and the others continued to follow Elder Kettle with their eyes as he was hurled through the living room by the explosion until he landed on the floor. "I'm still okay," he said, trying to stand up. But the piano landed on top of him startling the five. Alicia and Blood turned it over so they could see the now crushed Elder Kettle. "Elder Kettle! Elder Kettle!" the three cups shouted as they ran toward him. He lifted himself up with all his might, showing his right black eye and loose teeth. "Please! Please don't kill me!" he begged the five, confusing them. Um what? Alicia was more than confused.

The five looked at each other before looking down at him. "What are you talking about?" Cuphead asked him. "I heard what you said," Elder Kettle said. "I'm dirty and old and weak, and you're gonna put me out of my misery and bury me in the backyard" he began to cry as he finished his sentence. The five were even more confused than before until something clicked. He must have overheard their conversation and thought they meant him. "What?!" said Cuphead as he and the others walked up to him and hugged him. "No. We weren't talking about you" said Mugman to reassure him. "We were taking care of our pet worm" explained Cuppy which confused Elder Kettle. "What a worm?!".

He looked at the five of them. "So you weren't trying to kill me?" he asked her again. Alicia shook her head "And what was that about the garbage bag?" he asked her "Oh, it was the dress I wore to the ball" Elder Kettle looked at her confused. "It was torn and I was getting rid of it anyway" she said which relieved Elder Kettle. "Besides, why would we kill you?", "You're our Elder Kettle" said Alicia and Cuphead as they hugged him tighter "We love you" said Cuppy and Mugman. He blushed and hugged the three cups "I love you boys, Alicia and Blood too" he said and squeezed Cuphead, Cuppy and Mugman tightly before letting them go, walking backwards. "To imagine that I throught that you five were gonna kill-" at that he fell into the tiger trap. The five looked down from above and weren't too thrilled with the sight. "Yikes. He's not looking so hot" said Mugman. "I guess we could bury him in the backyard" suggested Cuphead. But Alicia was against it. "We'll do nothing of the sort!" she said.

But they skillfully ignored the three cups "I'll get the shovels" said Cuppy as Alicia and Blood gave each other a face palm. Blood used his magic to get the slightly battered Elder Kettle out of the hole before putting him to bed floating in mid-air. So that no one else could get hurt, all the traps that hadn't been triggered were removed and the living room was back to its old state. Elder Kettle, meanwhile, was well cared for and lay in his bed while Alicia and Blood tended to him. The three cups, on the other hand, made the house unsafe, or to say it better, they were looking for something. "We should put his glasses on the nightstand" Alicia said as Blood took off the glasses and put them on the nightstand before the two walked out of the room.
