"Oh no…" Silvana moaned. Arle and Carbuncle just fell into the ground. Primp. Amitie and Sig were pulling her out of the ground. All kinds of emotions rushed through her.
She made so much process. And now she'll lose her friends, her goodwill, and her sanity from now. Only to regain the latter AND ONLY THE LATTER in Hell… Where's she'll no doubt form a new type of insanity from being shunned by everyone. That is if the Dark Prince doesn't catch wind of her and tosses her in the dungeon where all the others were kept.
THE DARK PRINCE! With Arle here, he'll no doubt follow!
She didn't even think to run away. She was that scared or that complacent. Even she couldn't tell.
She wants to stay Silvana. She wants to keep performing. She wants her friends. She wants her mommy. She wants to be Arle. She wants to stay Silvana. She wants to keep performing. She wants her friends. She-
Amitie and Sig successfully pulled Arle's head out of the dirt. Carbuncle had dug himself out. Everyone but Silvana voiced their concern.
"I'm fine." The blue dressed sorceress smiled. "Thanks for caring." She giggled as Carbuncle climbed her shoulder. Giving a nuzzle. Silvana envied. "Howdy-do!" She greeted. "I'm Arly. Nice to meet you." She greeted with her friendly blue eyes.
Chapter 45: Lapsing
'Blue eyes? She must be under a spell.'
"You don't remember us?" Amitie asked. Both her and Sig being a bit hurt by what the sorcerous.
"Gugu gugu. Gugugu. Gu. Gu… Guuuuu?"
Arle chuckled at her companion. "I don't think they can't understand you either. Sorry, Carby." Sil did. She chose to keep silent. "Wait, does that mean you guys know me? A-Are we home?"
The three were a bit startled by this praying girl. Amitie and Sig had no time to feel sorry about Arle's lost memories. They were happy she was here. Who knows what's she's been through. She looked no worse for wear.
"Eh-heh. Noooo?" Amitie broke the bad news. Arle was disappointed. Sil found herself strangely empathizing.
"Oh. G-Guess my memory's getting worse. Meeting people I already met on my travels."
"Gugugugu gu gu GUUUU!"
"Carby's right." Everyone turned to Sil. "This has been your home for a while now. You have a house here."
"Gu!"
"I do? Wait, you can understand Carby?"
"Hmph." Sil turned away. She could've been busted. She didn't think it through.
"She's right." Sig backed up. "You do live here. You've been gone a year." He felt nostalgic. "Welcome back, Arle."
"FINALLY!" Arle jumped in the air. "Yesyesyesyesyesyeeeeees!" Arle pumped both arms on every yes ending on a big hug with Carbuncle. "I've hopped dimensions over and over with an incomplete memory in the hope I could find it."
"Woah."
"Poor thing."
'I should have it rough!'
"Sorry about forgetting you guys…"
"You're under a spell." Silvana said with a big frown. Why is she helping her? "See those blue eyes? Spell. Take her to the hospital."
Amitie and Sig looked into them, they just noticed. "Let's take her quickly!"
"See ya later, Sil. I'll visit you later."
"Me too."
Amitie and Sig took Arle away. Leaving Sil alone.
"Bye, Miss frog eater! Seeya around." Amitie and Sig looked at her funny. "What?" She didn't know what she said wrong.
"Stop." Sil asked as she caught up with them. She didn't want this to happen this soon. But here's she is. Face to face with the amnesiac girl. Either one will most likely be the death of the other. Silvana had to ask a question. "What did you just call me?"
"Frog eater." She matter of factly stated. Not at all malicious. "I'm sorry, I forgot the name of your species. I'm so sorry. I can't remember them all. Did it start with a Q?"
"It starts with H. For Human!" She screamed. She couldn't keep calm. Amitie stood between the lookalikes. Back against Sil but her head facing her.
"She's just a clown."
"She's sensitive about her humanity."
"No, I'm not!" Sil tried to deflect Sig's words. It didn't work. She wishes she couldn't care about that anymore. Because the truth hurts.
"So is she literally human? Because she looks kinda funny."
'Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!' "Please cook for her, Sig."
"It's a mask." Sig explained, ignoring Sil.
"Don't bother asking to show her real face, she won't."
"Oh. So she has no titanic tongue, uses copied magic and fights with a giant fork that she eats anything with especially frogs and has great culinary skills?"
"Take her to the hospital already!"
Arle stretched out her hand. Amitie and Sig looked on tepidly. "Sorry to start off on the wrong track. Even if you're dressed like a weirdo. No offense but I wouldn't wear that by choice."
'-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-'
""Sil" was it? Lemme guess. It that short for…"
"Please don't, Arle."
"No!"
"…Silver?"
"Oh no…"
"Shouldn't-"
Sil, in a bit of frustration, viciously backhanded Arle's inviting hand. "I'm not Silver. I'm not some second place, phony. I'm better than you think…"
Arle was taken away. "Uuuh. What's her deal?"
"Gugugu?"
"Eh-heh." Amitie nervously chuckled.
"She had a rough childhood." Sig calmly explained. "I'm Sig."
"Oh, I'm Amitie. Us three are close friends."
"Gugu gu."
"Carby says you are. So it must be true. We already introduced. But, eh. Let's re-reintroduce ourselves. I'm Arly. And this cutie is Carby."
"Gu…"
Amitie and Sig exchanged glances.
"…IS WHY I AM NOT SILVER MEDAL, DON'T COMPARE ME TO A MINERAL AS UGLY AS SILVER!" Sil was done ranting she had noticed her best friends took off with Arle. *Sniffle*
"Blech! I've been calling myself Arly this whole time."
"Gu!"
"How embarrassing…"
Arle covered her red face as her fuzzy yellow companion tried to console her. "Carby. Why must your language make my name sound funny?"
"Gu guguuuu!"
"…Not funny…"
"Gu."
"Now, Miss Nadja." The Doctor handed a mirror. Arle took a good look at her eyes, they're the right colours again. She smiled. "The curse has been dispelled. Your memory should work normally again. With some reservations. Some memories are either buried deep within your subconscious or just entirely gone." Arle shuddered. "The latter is less likely." And then she felt a little relieved. "It may just take a while for everything to come back to you."
"I see… Thanks, doc."
"You're really unlucky, you had a very similar hex on you the first time you came to Primp."
"D-Did I rea- Oh! *Siiiiiiiggh*. Only discovered because my knee was injured."
"Your friends are outside. Good day."
"Thanks, doc."
"Guuuuuu."
Arle went back to the lobby. Where she tackled the two Students with a hug. "I missed you guys, sorry for not remembering!"
"It's cool."
"I do now. I remember you two almost completely."
"That's good to know." Amitie sighed in relief. "Who did this to you?"
"I'll tell you when I remember, Amitie."
Arle went on the catch up with them. She tried to explain her condition, but not enough had surfaced yet. She asked the show her the way to her house. "I remember the inside, how to get to the bathroom, where my secret money pot is. But not where it is or how it looks."
"Sure thing, Arle." Amitie lead the way.
"Uh… Don't you wanna stop by Nicholi first?" Sig suggested.
"Who's Nicholi?"
"GU!?"
Carbuncle tugged at Arle's cape.
"Gu gugu gu gugugu!"
"Ah." That triggered her memory. "How could I forget?" She slapped her forehead.
Her friend made sure she knew they understood.
"Can you pay for me? I'll pay you back later. I'm a little low on Zenny right now."
"That's cool."
"What's a Zenny?"
*Chew chew* Arle was euphoric, it has been a while since she had food this good. "So anyway." *Chew* "That's how I helped save my world from… Whatever his name was."
"Gu."
"A she? Hmmm… That memory doesn't wanna come up."
Enough memories returned to tell her story.
"Gee." Amitie was so engrossed in her friend's incomplete story in her homeworld. "No wonder you didn't visit for so long." Amitie put her hands on Sig's shoulders. Sig didn't react. "We thought you forgot about us."
'Or worse…' Was Sig's automatic response in his clouded head.
"Well. Heh. I guess you did…"
Arle took no offence. She chuckled. "Heehee. Yup. After a few weeks of celebrating and peace. I wanted to see you all again. I was getting homesick from not being in Primp if you can believe that."
"Get real."
"It's true. But then, I had the memory curse happen. I'm still blanking on how that happened… Carby wasn't there. So he says. Of all the time to have a life outside of me, huh, Buddy?" She affectionately stroked his head. *Chewing with love for the cook*
"Glad you're okay. I wouldn't handle my memory loss for longer than I did."
"And I'm glad to be back, Amitie. Which is good. I… Uhm… I'm blanking on how to travel back. Home… Can't wait to catch up and meet people for the first time again."
"Oh. At least you went home."
"Yeah. I missed you dorks." The blue armoured sorceress chuckled. "Anything exciting happen while I was gone? Or has Primp stayed as peaceful as ever?"
"Oh, you have no idea. Primp's got a circus now."
'Here she is. Unharmed. It's good to see her again. B-But. Sil…' Sig's heart felt very heavy. 'I-Is this what Sil always feels talking about Arle coming back? I-I'm… Did I not take her serious enough?'
Fear this overwhelming was foreign to the boy. It all suddenly sunk in. All this time he had the mentality of we'll get to it when we'll get to it. And now they're to it and he felt so unprepared. It was hard to be excited about the return of a dear friend at the potential loss of her, an even dearer friend, or both.
He had comforted Sil every time she brought it up.
Sig wasn't as insecure about his freaky red arm as most people would be. He never let people onto it, but his true insecurity was his mind. He figured it didn't work like most other people.
His mind was very hazy. Anything not bug related is not on the fast track. Overwhelming conflicts refuse to process at times. His social skills were shaped by it. He's glad he seemed to scrape by anyways. Not caring, caring. Whatever.
He enjoys any brief serges in his brain. They happen daily and multiple times, but he doesn't find it happens often enough.
"Sig. Sig?…" Arle said concerned.
"Huh?" Sig snapped out of his thoughts.
"Are you feeling okay? I remember where you live. I can take you home if you want…"
"I'm good…" Arle had a sketchy eye on him. She knew it was something about his voice that bugged her. But she couldn't place it why. It was too subtle. She shook her head.
"Anyway: congrats, Big Boy."
"Gu Guu!"
Arle winked.
"Huh?" Sig didn't have enough context.
"Amitie told me Silvana was your girlfriend. Weird choice, but whatever makes ya happy." Arle smiled. "I'd always thought you'd end up with Amitie."
Amitie felt like she was tugged at her heart. She did her best not to show.
"She must be one lucky girl to have you,"
'Or… am I the… lucky… boy?'
"dressed as a clown all the time."
"Uh… Arle. Sil and I. Aren't dating." Sig said matter of factly.
"What."
"But you're dating so much you two might as well be a couple. Everyone thinks you're a couple." Amitie stated. "You should see the two together, Arle. They really deserve each other." She believes she's doing the right thing.
"…" Sig was searching for a response. He couldn't disagree.
Arle giggled like a schoolgirl. "You're blushing, Sig." She teased. "I'm sure she must be very happy with you." She presumed. Little by little, many pleasant memories of the bug lover resurfaced. Reinforcing it in her mind.
'I wouldn't be a good boyfriend…' "Please don't call her my girlfriend. I think that's a decision she should make." 'If she ever gets the courage… Or if I will…'
"Alright. She's as platonic as any other girl you've dated."
"Does her… Mask remind you of something?" He said cautiously asked.
"Huh. You really zoned out there, more than usual. Amitie already asked me. I said "Should it?""
Amitie and Sig looked at each other. They had a silent understanding that memory might be better off if it stayed buried for the time being.
"Gugu gu guguugu."
"Carby asks how Silvana knows his name?"
"Oh! Emmeh. Mmmm…"
"We talked about you."
"She's a stage magician. Yeah."
"Oh. I figured that there must be more Carbies out there. I questioned that while cursed."
"Sil's actually from your world. She can travel back and forth."
"Really now?"
'Maybe you shouldn't have said that. *Cold food chew*'
"Graaaah!" *Overhead smash* "How dare you call me a frog eater! I would never harm Donny, let alone eat him!" Sil vented out at night in her underwear as her stomach churned. Unaware of the two lurking around her door's corner. *Ballet-esque kick*
"I'm not a silver medal, Arle!" The intruders figured she's been on loop for a while. "I hate you! I'm my own Arle now! Why couldn't you have died back home! Now I weeeeeh!" *Sniff*
"I'm stronger! I'm cuter! I'm way more magical! I'm way fitter! I'm prettier! I'm richer! I'm healthier! I'm way more successful than you'll ever be! I GOT A BETTER JOB! Why! Can't! I! Get! Over! This!?" She pounded the ground, she was so frustrated.
Sig assumed she was in hysteria, even if he didn't know the word. Amitie wouldn't even know how to de-escalate her. She'd probably tick her off even more.
Both couldn't blame her.
"Golly, Sig." Amitie whispered. "I feel bad for spending so much time with Arle."
"Arle matters too." Sig spoke normally. Not like Sil could hear him in her frustration. Amitie wouldn't dare to argue with Sig on this. 'Sil really needs me…'
"She took Sig and Ammyyyy, Army…" Sil cried. "They didn't even give me a goodbye." That stung all three of them. "Army, don't leave me too. Soon I won't have anybody."
They couldn't hear or see her puppeteering her monkey.
"No not you too." They could hear her quiver erratically.
"I hate see hear her being this crazy. Sig, she's your girlf-" Sig was already up.
He stealthfully sneaked into the clown's room. He had noticed six empty big potato chip bags and two empty tubs of ice cream. The room's a mess. Sig had no idea what this could mean besides that's unhealthy.
"St-Stop it! I'm not letting you go, Army! You're mine forever! Fufufufufweeeeh…"
Sig also had noticed, a new addition to her room. It's a mannequin. It was wearing Sil's clothes. The ones she's worn the day they met. It seemed like she lashed out on the mannequin.
What concerned him was whom she was projecting onto it. He turned his attention to his favorite girl. Her long loose hip reaching hair was a tangled mess. This might be the worst he's ever seen her. And definitely the craziest.
'I haven't even seen her original self yet with Arle…' He refused to keep thinking about it. Something he didn't want to.
He got onto his knees and wrapped his arms around Silvana. He smiled at her surprise. "Happy you're still fighting it." He placed his chin on her shoulder.
"Sig?!" She looked at the red arm.
Looks at the red arm, his face. Sig was confused. Silvana showed disappointment.
"Oh. And now I'm subconsciously trying to cheer me up again. Hi me." Sig's confused, then he recalled Sil telling him about that time she somehow cheered herself up in her dreams. He's aware more than most that Sil wasn't as stable as she usually seemed. "Don't bother cheering me up with Sig's body this time. Or at all." She couldn't wriggle herself out of the big red arm. "Just let me be a normal person psycho without being a doppelganger, the last thing I need is a split personality on top with relapsing!"
"I will never abandon you, Sil." Sig shifted from sitting on his knees to having wrapped his legs around her torso.
"Stop fooling ourselves. They left me! There's no saving me… Don't talk me out of it, me."
Amitie found it hard to listen to.
They were quiet together for a few moments until Sig sensed he pacified Sil enough for her to sit still in protest. He reached for the bed to grab Sil's two-person bedsheet. He gently wrapped it around his amiga loco's shoulders. Enveloping her whole body aside from her head.
Sig had two motives. To warm her and Arms up, it's a bit chilly. And so she won't freeze up when she returns to reality. She won't have to live with that Sig saw her in her boxers and compression wraps from behind. The most naked he'd ever seen her.
"Th-Thank you…" Sig could see Sil's cheek expanding in a pout.
"You'll be okay." Sig said despite his doubts. At some point, Li'l Sig wrapped around her as well.
"Face reality. They'll all turn on me… I saved their town twice, and I'll be exiled or killed. I'm ready for Hell if I can bypass getting thrown into the dungeon with the others again."
"Sil. What would Sig say if he saw you like this?"
"…" She didn't wanna answer.
Sig placed a quick kiss on the cheek. "I guess he would say he'll always help you."
"NO HE WOULDN'T! STOP PRETENDING TO BE HIM! He knows I'm pure evil. He probably's been a cruel prankster mastermind to me the whole time. Pretending I have a place when really he dumped me for HER the second she got back!" She tried to flail herself out of him to no avail.
"Poor Sil…" Amitie still sat around the corner. "Keep it up, Sig."
"What can I do to convince you I'm real?" He asked gently.
"Stopping driving ourselves in denial. I don't wanna be in denial. I need to stay saner than ever. Can this nightmare end already?"
"You're not dreaming."
"Yeah?! Prove it you reprehensible clone!" Sig stared at her clenched fist, it went with the disdain Sil had towards herself…
"Sorry."
"You'd better b- ow!"
Sig pinched Sil on the cheek with his human hand.
She rubbed her cheek. She jumped. "SIG! How embarrassing…" She hid her face in her sheets. "Hmmmnnnnnn…" That's the noise one would make if you realized your crush saw you in your underwear ON TOP of being so open due to mixing up reality and the dream state. "Sc-Screw it." She managed to turn around in his embrace and embraced him back. Pushing his back to the ground.
Sil felt very childlike. Like a lost child at an amusement park who just reunited with her parents. "You didn't leave me! I was so sca-heeeeeh-red!" A gasp escaped her mouth. "You're still wearing the necklace~~" She bawled while rubbed her cheek on Sig.
"I won't leave you. But Arle needs help too."
Sil made a pouty noise. "Ammy probably still left me for her."
Amitie felt terrible.
"Sil… Stop presuming that. You can't go through with mindset." Silvana sighed in response. She knows. "Ammy, come here."
"Ammy's here too?" Her eyes lit up.
Amitie kept quiet. She didn't wanna rob them of their together time.
"Sil needs you too." Sig argued.
Amitie's body clenched up.
The bug lover gently pushed Sil off of himself… He went to the hall and dragged Amitie into the bedroom. "No Sig! You should do it! I have no tact, I'll make her feel worse."
Sil was having none of that. She held on to her sheet and Arms and pounced on Amitie. "Ammy!" She was caught by surprise. "Please stay a while."
"A-Are you okay with this Sig?" He just nodded to Amitie's answer. He then lifted the girls and the monkey up and placed them on the bed. The girls sat next to each other while Arms sat on Sil's lap. Sig sat to the right of the Alpha clown. He wrapped his big arm around her just the way she liked it.
Sil made sure her sheet wouldn't just fly off. She loves these two but didn't like the idea of them or anybody ogling her body.
Well, Amitie ogling her. Sig would barely have a reaction if it at all.
The two told Silvana everything she needed to know about Arle. Silvana may have squeezed Arms several times from the things she heard.
"Let's sure I got it. She doesn't remember me, absolutely no clue. But is scared away from my circus?"
"Uh-huh." Amitie confirmed. Kinda bummed out by it.
"Thank goodness…" Sil felt lighter.
"Carbuncle does wanna go…" Sig elaborated.
"…Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiddlesticks." That wasn't self censorship, but the same sentiment was there.
"You're not in the past anymore. Your instinct doesn't have to take you over."
"That's just it, Sig." Sil shifted around to be more comfortable. "My instinct didn't take over…" Her breathing became erratic. "I'm fully in control. I'm just that twisted… I hate her so much!"
"…"
"…"
"All my effort, it barely worked. It's not fair! I've done my best to reform, and she becomes a sitting duck with amnesia for me to shoot?! Life's too cruel dangling everything I ever wanted in front of me like that…"
"Are you-"
"NO! Ammy! I love everyone too much! B-B-B-B-But… Well… It's been nice knowing you."
They knew Sil never took the counterargument. Whatever they did, she'll return to this mindset time and time again…
But they couldn't leave it at that. She mattered to her. They kept it wordless this time. Sig gently held her tighter and pushed his cheek against hers. And Amitie wasn't gentle but passionate all the same.
Sil knew they'd never take her counterargument in return. But she'd feel horrible if she didn't let it all out.
"I could be gone anytime now. I wanna say this while I'm still lucid. I love you all. Promise to kill me if I go over the edge, m'kay? Instincts haven't taken over. They're definitely gonna keep infesting my thoughts. But I don't know. At the moment I feel somewhat okay though. Like I'm barely not a Doppelganger."
"That's good."
"Tell me that again when I'm human like you two…"
"She may have amnesia. But my own memory does lapse looking at her. Guys, your efforts helped a bit, but you just can't undo what's been programmed into me AND undo the mental conditioning done to me thanks to that. You saw how creepy I was, Sig. Ammy. You saw what Vibby was like. You guys may. May. MAY. Have stopped my programming. You guys are the jury on that one. Sorry for the hypnotherapy lingo. Point is this teensy problem of hating Arle. This is how I've been shaped. I hate Arle. I WANT HER LIFE! S-Sorry. Force of habit. Please, guys. Call me out on it. But don't expect me to change… I-I can't help it. It's hard not the spiral like that."
"We know…"
"…"
"…"
*Silent monkey*
Sil looked around the room. "Oh… I really tried to gain weight to get as fat as Arle, didn't I?" She turtled her head in her sheet. They gave shoulder pats.
"I had nothing to do her memory loss. Though I should've had…"
"…"
*Monkey sigh*
She slowly got out of the sheets.
"Um… I'm gonna go to Zeri tomorrow and get some jeweled bracelets."
"You're gonna put your essence away?"
"Yup. So I won't overpower Arle…"
"I'm proud of you!"
Sig was too. Sil showed no emotion related to Arle in that aspect. "Can I trust you two with the bracelets? I don't wanna lose them, and you two are the first ones I think of when it comes to losing something…" The double meaning was unintended.
"I'll never take it off." Sig said with a hint of conviction.
"I wouldn't dream of you losing yourself. B-But, eh, you think this is a good idea?"
"Any ideas that make Arle safer, Am?" She replied sarcastically. Sig answered.
"Maybe love solves it?" He wasn't sure. "Maybe if we-"
"Stop." Sil had a giggle fit. Her friends were curious why. "That's the girliest thing I've ever heard.
You should know, we share a class with Ammy, Liddy, Raffine, and Klug… Ufufufufuuu~ I need a moment…" She kissed Sig on the cheek for trying. "Okay. Anything better?" She asked both.
"Uh, try to relax like you're at the dentist?" Amitie spitballed.
The ringleader thought about it. She tried to simulate it her head with the setting on as sane as your gonna get with HER around. It didn't turn out awful. "I'll try… Can't promise I can keep this up. I'll be the Arle Nadja of not being Arle Nadja."
"U-"
"Tha-"
*Monk-*
"Shut up…"
She pouted.
Sil hesitated, but she kissed Amitie on the cheek for the first time. As a thank you, but mostly because she knows Amitie wants one. Her face turned fully red and tried not the squee. Sil, Sig and, Arms were amused.
Sil got back on topic and shoved as much of her essence as she could into Amitie's bracelet. Amitie insisted.
"There's no personality."
"Wowie, Sil. I'm no Amethyst being, but that much can't be normal right?"
"Nope. That magic is all from all the other Doppelganger Arles."
"You're my favorite hive mind, Sil…"
Sil's face scrunched up at Sig's corny line. "…not a hive mind."
Sig presented his necklace.
"No, Sig. I want it to stay red."
"But I want a part of you with me too."
The girls' hearts melted. Sil couldn't say no to that. "There. Between the two of you, you have half-of-me with you. Don't lose it…"
The three wrapped things up.
"I wanna live long enough to wear a Santa Pierrot suit, guys. Believe me. I don't wanna die." She made sure they were gonna be reassured.
"You guys know where my will is, I'm updating it tomorrow just in case."
"Gotcha."
"Uh-huh."
"And, Ammy?"
"Yeah?"
"Be prepared to be Pierrot more often."
Arle was done rediscovering her home. She remembered everything about it. And is eager to rediscover Primp too, see how much she remembers.
But first, it was high time to sleep. She had an early bird job she dug up from her banks. And she would like to have it again. It would help her remember the way around town.
She got out of her armour and dress and into her compression wraps and boxer and into bed.
"Isn't it great to be home, Carby?"
"Gu gu."
"Hehe, yeah. It's kinda ironic innit? Good night."
"Gu."
Arle drifted up. Ready for some peaceful minimum worry living.
Author's Notes:
Hey, guess who forgot Strange Klug was a thing during the possession talk the last chapter?
Here's a fun game: guess the universes Arle alluded to.
Full transparency here. Arle's amnesia only exists to prolong the confrontation they will obviously have later. Also to torture, Sil.
Me, the writer, makes sure the tone stays as whatever you can decribe is it as.
We are nearing the end (we always were), but we still have tens of chapters to go.
And Arle is finally added to the cast.
After 44+ chapters.
How long have some of you waited?
Enjoy.
Next up: A light-hearted mini-chapter, about death.
