Silvana was doing her groceries at the market as usual. Special curry ingredients, tipping the accordion player she envied, avoiding the potion stand and fortune telling stand manned by Witch and Feli respectively.

Other than that Silvana was doing well considering Arle has been back for a few weeks. She did tense up whenever she got near, and let out the antagonistic snark at her (opposed to Arle's friendly snark (and antagonistic snark)). But the controlled breathing outside of the encounters did lead to her being more relaxed.

She could go without her being her delivery and mail woman though. They don't even exchange words anymore during that.

None of this means her inherent traits doesn't get the better of her occasionally.

"Baaaaah~ Babahbabah ba-babaaaaaba~ Bapabadaladaaaa~ Bapabadaladaaaa~" She scatted an accordion song she was practicing to herself. She was done. "Dooo~ Rooopaboompaboompadofiddlesticks… Forgot to write down the milk again…"

Sil hurtled. She was in the mood for a mild curry for a change.

Do you know what hurtled means? "Ow." It doesn't mean tripping over something squishy. Sil didn't fall on her face just lost her balance was all. "Ah, Carby~. Sorry, li'l guy." Sil smiled.

"Gugu Guuuu-uuuu…"

"Sorry, didn't see you see there. Don't be afraid of me." She picked the yellow rabbit-ty thing up and rubbed the boo-boo on the back of the head. "Did Arle abandon you?"

"Guu! Gugugu."
"I can't help it. Lost her in the crowd?"
"Gugu."
"Sucks… Is this a work day for her?"
"Gu."
"I'm expecting a package if you stay with me for a bit we can catch her at my home."
"Gugu? Gugu. Gugugu gu-gu guuuu… Gu."
"Curry."
"GUGUUU!~!~!~! Gu?"
"Spicy? Yeah, sure. I was in the mood for that anyway."

Sil teleported home with Carby.

Chapter 48: Gu.

"Guu guu. Gugugugu, gu. Gugugu? Gu. Gu. Guuugu gu."

"You serious?" Sil was engrossed in the funny anecdote he had. Happy to get to vicariously live Arle's life like this.

"So what are you into these days?" She asked halfway done with the curry.

"Gu. Gugu. Gugu gu. Gugu gu gu. Gugugu Gugu."

"Wow… Carby. You lead a pretty interesting life." She's just glad, even though he doesn't recognize her since the impersonation attempt she pulled. And he convinced him she's a different Pierrot. Their chemistry felt as great as ever. "Arle's really lucky to have you…"

"Gu?"
"Well… I do. But he's not nearly half of the companion you are…"
"Gu gu?"
"By virtue of not being alive. And has a smart mouth on his."
"Guuuuuuuu?"
"Ignore me… Wanna meet him?"
"Guu. Gu gu gu gu?"
"Yup, I'm talking about Arms."
"Gugugu. Gugugu."
"You shouldn't take Vento to seriously. You don't know Arms like I do. Deep down he really cares."
"Gu Gu?"
"I could say the same about you. You two should get along."
"Gu!"
"No, I mean that in the nicest way possible!"

She wanted to diverge from the topic.

"Wanna play some Puyo Puyo after a plate or two?"
"Gu gugu?"

"Heh heh, thanks for thinking of me." Sil petted her old friend. "But I think I'll be okay. Say, I got an accordion, think you can dance to that?"

"Gu."
"Wicked. Lemme get it."

"Curry's done." She served on the dinner table where Carby sat. And before she could say "Enjoy, Carby." Carbuncle's tongue tugged the whole extra large plate inside his tummy and spat out the plate and cutlery out. Sil giggled. A lot of memories came back to her. And they didn't even knock her down and kick her in any sweet spots.

*- .- .. .-..*

The knocking at the door did. The fun was over. She couldn't even Puyo. "Comm'n, Carb."

"Gu!" He jumped into the clown's arms.

Sil took a breath and opened her door. "Carby!"

"I'll trade him for my package." Sil joked flatly. They exchanged without any more words. The reunion between the two was heartbreaking to Sil, as usual. They walked off as Carbuncle waved Sil goodbye.

"Arle! Come back!" Sil yelled. Arle ran back with an inquisitive look on her face. "Wait here…"

Sil ran back to her kitchen and back. She placed something in her original body's hands.

"This lunch box is warm…"

"It's Super Spicy Curry. Enjoy." Sil's tone couldn't convince Arle until Carbuncle backed it up that it was normal curry.

"Thanks?"

"Mrrgrgh, mrgrgr. Also…" Sil showed her the back of her middle finger and index finger. She proceeded the turn them 90° when Arle blinked to show a circus ticket (for the outer ring) between the fingers. Followed up by spreading her fingers apart revealing two tickets.

Arle's eyes shifted between the tickets and the angry face on the mask. "Why?"

"Look. I'm, in a super duper good mood right now." Her voice didn't support that claim. "And I had a great time with Carby, didn't we?" Sil rubbed his head again.

"Gu guguuuuuuuu~"

Arle was impressed. She did it exactly how he liked it. She stared at the clown in bewilderment.

"…J-Just take my thank you gifts, okay!" Sil pushed the tickets in Arle's breastplate, kicked her in said breastplate from the caravan's step and slammed the door shut.
