I DO NOT OWN STRANGER THINGS. ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO THE DUFFER BROTHERS. I THINK THAT SEASON 3 WAS A MISTAKE ON THE PART OF THE DUFFER BROTHERS AND IF THEY WONT FIX IT, I WILL. BY THE WAY, LORELIA'S FACE CLAIM IS TAYLOR DEARDEN CRANSTON.
July 4, 2019. Boise, Idaho. Premier date for season 3 of Stranger Things.
"Something touched me deep inside, the day the music died."
(Don McLean. American Pie)
The alarm clock buzzed as Lorelia Duvendack suddenly came to. It took her a minute to collect herself, but once she did, she sprung out of bed and ran to her TV. It was the day she had spent the last year waiting for: Season 3 of Stranger Things was coming out on Netflix today. While everyone else was going to be watching parades and enjoying fireworks, Lorelia was returning to the small town of Hawkins. The Season 2 finale had been nothing short of perfect. Mike and El had danced at the Snow Ball and shared a kiss while the Mind Flayer promised vengeance from the Upside Down. It was the perfect set up for what was already expected to be the best season yet.
"Finally, this is going to be the summer of love," Lorelia said as she sat down in front of her TV. She turned on Netflix and saw that the new season had been added. She pressed play and settled in to watch.
Ten hours later, Lorelia was still sitting in front of her television set. Her eyes were bloodshot from crying and the remote control was on the floor, broken from when she had thrown it down in pure rage. The poor girl tried to make sense of what she had just witnessed. Matt and Ross Duffer were two of the most brilliant writers and directors that she knew. How could they have written such crap? Almost everything was wrong.
Mike and Eleven had broken up and even though they still were close, there was this awkwardness for the whole season, only to reconcile at the end.
Jim Hopper had died, possibly.
Now, Joyce Byers has moved out of Hawkins, taking Jonathan, Will, and Eleven with her. There had been no Terry, no Becky, no Kali. The entire season was a hot mess.
"Duffers!" she screamed. "Why have you done this to me?" It wasn't fair. Lorelia's life sucked. That was God's honest truth. She took shit from her parents for being liberal and bisexual. She took shit from her classmates for being a nerd and she was a virgin at 18 with no boyfriends or girlfriends in sight. Stranger Things had been her one bright spot and now, that was taken away from her. Lorelia honestly didn't know if the Duffer Brothers could fix what they had broken.
"Please God, don't do this to me," she begged. "Let there be a way to fix this, please!" After hearing nothing but silence, Lorelia crumpled into a ball and sobbed.
CAN THE WRONGS OF SEASON 3 BE PUT TO RIGHT? REVIEWS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED.
