Impatiently, Patricia waited by the sink in the bathroom of her flat, leaning against the counter. She felt as though she had been there for hours, but it was only minutes before the results appeared. She sighed and she groaned, annoyed and anxious by the whole endeavor. She was in a rather awkward position, having bent over and laid her head on the counter while the rest of her was still standing. Her eyes had just closed when her phone vibrated against the counter's hard surface, rattling around. Immediately, she shot up and turned off the alarm before checking the stick.

In that moment, she had hoped that her nerves would wash away, but instead, the opposite happened. Sucking in a deep breath, she gathered herself and stepped out of the bathroom. There, in a chair in her living room was her boyfriend, tapping his feet as he, too, was waiting. Looking up, he very gently broke the silence between them.

"What's the verdict?" he questioned, only to be shown the stick in Patricia's hand.

"Positive." she answered shakily. "I'm gonna have to go through with our plan."

"Do you need help paying?" questioned Travis, watching the woman as she sat down next to him with a sigh.

"I was hoping you wouldn't ask that." she answered. "I'd rather pay for it, myself, but it's sort of pricey..."

"That's what rich boyfriends are for." the other stated. "It's just as much your fault as it is mine."

"Neither?"

"Exactly. But it couldn't have happened without both of us."

Pausing to think, Patricia grumbled, hating every single moment of this. "You could pay half, I suppose..."

"That sounds fair."

"I'd like to invest in the pill next time, though." said the woman while Travis put his arm around her. "Are you sure you're okay with this?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"I dunno. You seem to be like the kind of person who would like having kids."

"I am, but not if you're completely opposed to the idea."

"I'm not, just… not right now..."

"That's reason enough." Travis stated. "I would be perfectly fine if you chose to keep it, but I'm also perfectly fine if you don't. It's sort of like raising animals. You should be completely committed to the idea before you start, or else everyone is going to suffer. Since you're not, you probably shouldn't be having kids."

"That's weirdly comforting, even though I feel like I ought to be insulted." Patricia remarked, finally cracking a bit of a smile. "I guess we're doing this, then."

"Do you want me to make you an appointment?"

"No. I can do it myself." Closing her eyes, she leaned against Travis' shoulder. "Later."

There was no question about what she wanted to do, just as there was no point in placing any blame. Just as quickly and suddenly as the problem arose, what was to be done was settled. Patricia had no need for a child at the moment, nor did she really want one. She was going to university, still, and she still wanted to box. There was no need for a pregnancy anywhere in her life and that was how she wanted to keep it. After the first shock of it all, there were no tears. There was no hesitance. What she was going to do was clear, no matter who disapproved. Yes, including Travis. She knew what she wanted and needed, so she was going to get it no matter what it took. It was her life on the line, after all.

As soon as their method of protection failed, the couple took a moment to calm down and talk. That is why things were so easy once confirmation came. Travis had no desire to force Patricia into something she didn't want, especially something so irreversible. That would have been unforgivable. Thus, everything was said and done. Simple as that.

Life goes on.

Elsewhere in London, another couple was reaching a major milestone. Actor and actress couple, Anastasia Miles and Lawrence Rose were engaged to be married. It was all over newspapers and tabloids throughout the country. Yes, it was sudden, but they, too, were steadfast in their convictions, despite what it meant for those involved.

Her brother, for one, was happy for her. Extremely so. Thrilled, even. Yet, he was less than "thrilled" to have the extended family visiting. He had to be quick to ask, and once again called upon the assistance of his beau to move things from his flat in London to his shop in Gehenna.

"I hope you don't start to suspect that our entire relationship is based around getting you to help me move things." jested the Miles while the other helped him carry boxes.

"No problem. I'm just glad I didn't have to help you haul them down the stairs again." Logan replied. "Meeting you here is much easier. I didn't know you were carrying this much, though."

"I have to hide everything. The designs, the sketchbooks, the fabric, the accessories… everything!" insisted the wolfman. "That rat's not going to steal from me ever again!"

"Humans are weird… family members steal from family members… It's crazy..."

You see, Kristopherson has a bit of a traumatic past. His cousin is coming to England from New York for this wedding, when in reality, there is no reason to do so. Kristopherson knows why. He had heard from his mother after she spoke to his aunt that his cousin was thinking about entering in yet another fashion competition. The only problem is, the man has no designing talent. Yet, he does have a talent for "bullshitting," as Kristopherson had so eloquently put it while explaining the situation to his boyfriend. What had happened was: just a few months from the show, the cousin came over to visit, asking to see Kristopherson's designs.

Now, Kristopherson, being young and naive as he was in secondary school, allowed the other to see them. Sure enough when fashion week came around, there were Kristopherson's designs on the runway, but no Kristopherson Miles in sight. That is because they were entered by Milo Christinsen, his cousin and freshly formed arch-nemesis. Milo made bank while Kristopherson made nary a single penny.

That was unforgivable. Thus, anticipating the other man's intentions, Kristopherson would act first, hiding everything he has in a maximum security area guarded by armed soldiers. Perhaps it was overkill, but it was also convenient. Kristopherson did not leave a single button at his makeshift studio at home and moved it all to Andrea's, where it would sit in the upstairs studio until Milo was back in New York and away from him. That was the plan.

"I can't even begin to imagine..." Logan stated, perplexed by the entire situation.

"Let me put it into perspective..." Kristopherson began. "The most expensive design there sold for one thousand pounds, each."

"Humans are insane..." the incubus stated, genuinely terrified at what he perceived to be a complete waste of money.

"Don't say that around my family. They're look at you like you've sprouted horns."

"Good thing I won't be around when they get here." chuckled the blue man, perplexing his beau for a moment. Kristopherson looked genuinely confused before his face lit up.

"Oh! I forgot to ask!" he declared suddenly, catching the other off guard. "I was going to ask you if you would be my date for the wedding." Strangely, the question made Logan's entire face change colour.

"O-oh… uhm… I love you, Kris, but this is so sudden..." Logan stuttered out, spreading his confusion.

"It's not a group wedding. When a family member gets married, people sometimes bring the person that they're seeing to the wedding. It's not anything remarkable. You would just be watching with everyone else."

"Then why is it a date?"

"Because I'd be bringing my boyfriend." Kristopherson attempted to explain. Saying it out loud and looking at it from an outside perspective, he supposed that it did seem pretty strange.

"So it's just watching? Isn't it weird for someone not in the family or a friend of the bride of groom to be watching?"

"I guess? You don't have to come if you don't want to."

"Oh, I would like to, if you want me to. I just need to know what is happening."

"You would be sitting there next to me at my sister's wedding, watching while wearing an overpriced suit and giving me motivation not to strangle my cousin."

"I don't have a suit that nice..."

"Not a problem. I can take care of that, if you really want to come. You don't seem very convinced, though."

"It will be an excellent learning experience!"

"It's not like going to the zoo, Logan..."

"I've never been to a zoo, so it'll be fine."

"Logan, please..."

A/N: Hello, hello. How are you?

Initially, this chapter was only supposed to focus on Patricia and Travis, but I soon realised that I only had enough for half of the minimum word count for a chapter! They're just so forward... Like, it's a good thing. A really good thing. For their relationship, that is, but not so much from a narrative perspective, maybe, haha. I still look forward to writing more.

That break really helped, huh?

During it, I started doodling a lot of random character designs, but I ran into the same problem every time I do that. I have no use for them! But it feels like such a waste! Someone take them off my hands, pls. I don't care what you use them for. Just take them. If y'all are for real interested in having an OC designed by me to do whatever you wish with, write in the comments and I'll start posting them to tumblr. From there, we'll work something out. Maybe contact me on tumblr and point to the one you want or something. I dunno. Just take them off my hands!

Why can't I hold all of these OC's?

Until the next chapter, my duckies...
