"Mel? Mel! Where are you, Mel?" Silvana yelled in her home carrying a package. Amitie helped Sil search for the mom. The first place they looked was the most likely place she'd be, at the dinner table with her typewriter. "Oh, she's asleep…" Sil turned away from the other narcoleptic in her life.

"I'm gonna wake her up!" Amitie strutted forward which made Sil stop her in a frenzy.

"No, you won't."
"C'mon, I do it all the time, Mom doesn't mind."
"Look, have you ever had trouble with sleeping?"
"Nope!"
"Then let her sleep peacefully. I'll go look for your dad, seeya later, li'l Sis."

Sil turned back to search for Mr. Amitie's Dad for help with this package.

She signaled Amitie that she needed to do this alone.

This was gonna get embarrassing for someone her age.

Chapter 73: Unpack Something Overdue

Sil heard something, she peeked around the corner to see Mr. Amitie's Dad reading the paper. "There you are."

The man looked up from his paper. "Hey, Sport. How was teaching at school today?" He jovially asked.

"Nothing new." She quickly replied brushing it off. She nervously showed the package. "I-I need your h-help. It's a little embarrassing." Her shoulder raised while her neck and head sunk.

"Really?" The man put his paper to the side. He genuinely asked. The clown shyly nodded. "Are you sure?" The shy clown nodded now with a frown. "Wow!" He showed where some of Amitie's excitement came from. "Get real, Sport? You're asking me? Whenever Amitie needs helps with something embarrassing she goes to your mother." He so happy. "Are you real? For sure?" He was somewhat in disbelief

"I am real…" She grumbled. "And I am sure, I need your help teaching me everyone needs to learn butIjusthaven'tyet…"

He rubbed his hands. "Shoot."

"You see, I promised to visit this sick kid in the hospital. But that's been delayed. The Ocean Kingdom requested me to be their royal birthday jester again, and that's quite a travel And. I can't say no to that, everyone would like a Christmas bonus, but I hate to disappoint the sick kid as well."

She lightly tapped the box. Putting the grown man's attention to it.

"Inside there's a stuffed toy based on me as Pierrot along with a note to let him know I care, I'll visit him later, and that I wish him well."

"Ah. That's wicked heartwarming, Sport." Sil couldn't help smile at the praise from her sister's father. The pats on her back felt better than she liked to admit.

"It is nothing, Mister. Nothing new for me." She smiled as she shrugged.

"So what's the matter? What's so embarrassing here? Ooo… You're not gonna [VERBS AND NOUNS REDACTED], are you?" He said with the utmost worry.

"Whaaaaa… Nononononononono!" Sil did her best to deny it. "I'd never do something THAT goofy, especially not for royalty! I just don't know how to mail anything!" Sil realized she just said it just like that and reformed her Pierrot suit just to shamefully cover her eye holes with her hood. "I-I… Need… Your… Help…"

"..."

"Please don't laugh. I never had to send something before. Donguri Gaeru, my secretary, usually does this for me… And he's on a quick vacation…"

"Okido, Sport. I'll teach you how to mail things."

Sil smiled. 'He didn't laugh!' "Thank you!" She gave him a quick hug. Mr. Amitie's Dad did not make fun of her. Sure, he was a little surprised that the young business owner didn't know how. But he showed it off very respectfully. He even cut down on the jokes that made you uncomfortable to be alive.

Melody would've laughed for sure.

This and the time he saved her from having Amitie's face made Silvana pick favorites.

Melody was admittedly annoyed she chose him for help most of the time as she was used to being Amitie's favorite. Sil was distant as she could, or at least that's what it seemed like. They still were friendly At least she still as Amitie.

Author's Notes:
At some point, Mini-Chapters aren't gonna mean a thing anymore. I renamed the previous one 'Chapter 72.5' instead because I felt it was too important and was double the length of other Mini-Chapters.
