Chapter 82: Till Next Reunion
It was a sentimental day. After months of living with these people, and barely a month after she's become part of their family they're already moving out. Time flew by.
The ringmaster taped her final moving box. Not that it was her box. Her and Amitie shared Amitie's duty of filling her boxes.
"I'm almost done too, Sis!" Amitie chirped. "Boy, I brought a lot…" Amitie complained.
"You just noticed, Ammy?" Sil snarked sitting on the bed Amitie has slept in for the past months. "You didn't need to bring that many stuffed animals. And did you even read half those comics while you were here?" The older clown pointed with an open hand at some of the boxes.
Amitie turned around to look at those boxes. "Um… I think so, yeah." She went back to fill the rest of her boxes.
Sil stood up and stretched a little just because. "I'm gonna run a lap around town, see you at dinner."
Amitie immediately stopped what she stopped doing. "WaitSisgoodbyehug!" The blonde glomped her sister.
"Fufufufu~ Another one already, Ammy." Sil hugged her back.
"What if you get caught up in conversation and miss dinner and miss seeing us off?" Amitie said worried.
"It's not like you'll be moving out of town, Ammy…" She patted her on the back.
"Please promise me you'll be there…" The blonde looked up with puppy dog eyes into the redhead's eyeholes.
"Of course not, dummy. I just need some fresh air and give my legs some exercise." Sil wiggled her leg.
"Please?~~~"
"Eheheh, Ammy. I'll be back here the exact opposite way of this."
"Opposite of what?"
*POP*
"Wha!" *Thud* And thus Amitie laid down on her stomach on the floor because her sister teleported to her room.
"Sweetie, did I hear your sister teleport away?" Melody said as she entered the room.
"Yup." The girl said with her face on the floor. Her mom got her up.
"Have you told her the good news yet?"
"No. Was I supposed to?"
"Oh, nonono. Not yet. I'd like her to be surprised. We've already said too much around you."
*Later, nearing the halfway point of Silvana's marathon…*
Silvana ran a lot and she still wasn't tired. She was proud of herself, she felt like she could run half a lap more than she planned for without taking a break.
That said. She felt like she did need to take a break of some sort even if she wasn't exhausted. She sat down on the nearest bench.
She's coming to the terms she'll feel lonely at home again (if she didn't count Arms). Ever since she was politely dismissed at school there have been days where if she didn't go out for a walk just to see some strangers on the street, if it wasn't for the Roses moving in.
And now she's going back to that. Plus she has to do her chores on her own again more often, like washing and ironing her clothes and dusting the important rooms.
"If the circus ever goes bankrupt maybe I should make a hotel out of my caravan…" Sil's was rambling in her thoughts. She'd lost the thread. Maybe she needed more friends with the same amount of free time as she has. Or join a book club. Or ignore her gym at home and socialize at a gym in town…
She rubbed her hand on her mask.
"Miss, please tell me you're my future niece, or I'm making a fool of myself again." A man approached.
"Uncle!~" Sil turned her head happy to hear him. "Howya doing?"
The man chuckled, taking a seat next to his nephew's (how-and-why-aren't-you-identifying-yourself-as-his-)girlfriend. "Been running?"
"Yeah…"
"So your new family is already moving out already, huh?"
Sil nodded. "I wish I'd accepted them sooner. But that's on me." Sil shrugged it off to spite her regrets.
"You could always visit."
"Well duh. Of course I will. I wanna be as close to them as Ammy is. Even if I already as close to them as Ammy and Vice-Versa. Thanks to you-know-what…"
"I can only pretend to feel what's it like."
"It feels like second nature after a while." 'For anyone but me I'd guess.' As a Doppelganger of an unrelated person, it does still drive her nuts on some level. Being technically partly a Doppelganger of Amitie cancels it out a little.
"So not to sound like a jerk, but I'm glad they're moving out." He spoke normally.
"Okaaaay?" Sil sensed he wasn't super serious about it.
"Because you and Sig will start hanging out more."
Sil puffed out some air. "Of course…"
"Don't tell Sig, but I got something special planned for you two." He winked.
"Ooo~" Her mind started spinning, thinking of what it could be. "I won't tell him. But can you at least tell when?" Silvana raised her pitch and batted the eyelashes he couldn't see. "Please, for your favorite niece to be?" She said sounding like a child.
He chortled. "No."
"Aww…" Sil pretended to be disappointed. "Guess it's wait 'n see. I'd love to stay and chat, Uncle. But I've still gotta get some exercise in before dinner." She hopped off the bench.
"See you later, Sil."
"Bye, Uncle!" Sil ran off again.
Once the clown was out of view the black-haired man looked rather worried.
Sil got home in time for a shower and dinner. Surprise: It was curry.
It was delicious. But the four didn't have much to say to each other. All of them were a little sullen at that what will happen after they've all done the dishes together.
They all knew what's going through each others' minds at the moment. It felt very awkward that they're about to be separated.
"Everyone done?" "Alright. Let's do the dishes…"
*It was finally time to leave…*
The family stood there outside the caravan. Awkwardly.
The roses had their backs facing the cargo carriage and their fronts to their adopted daughter and the caravan that had generously housed them.
Sil felt really nervous. She grabbed her arm and looked to the floor to the side.
She tried to speak up. "I-"
"Waaaah!" Amitie couldn't take it anymore. She hug tackled Sil to the ground. "I'll miss you, Sis!"
"Ammy!" Sil yelled out a little agitated. "You work at the Circus, I'll see you tomorrow!" But that did nothing to quell Amitie's feeling of grief.
The mother and father lifted the girls up enough so Sil could sit upright. They hugged their kids. "Kiddo, you can always just have a sleepover."
"Yeah." Sil agreed.
"As long as you do your homework, Sweetie."
"Yeah." Sil agreed.
"…Hmm." Amitie moaned. Holding Sil a little less tight. "It's been nice living under the same roof, Sil. Like real sisters."
Sil got sentimental again. The tears she held back started flowing out. "Same, Ammy… You too." Sil referred to her parents. "Face privacy aside."
"Sport…"
"Sil."
Once the embracing ended. Melody said another thing. "We got some good news."
"…Really?" Sil heard her mom giggle.
"Yep! And we want you to be a part of it!" She got increasingly more excited the more the sentence went on.
Silvana inquisitively tilted her head. The whole family got giddy but her.
Amitie began counting down. "1, 2, 3!" The parents threw their arms over each other's shoulders and nuzzled each other.
"We're getting remarried!"
"We're getting remarried, Sport!"
"Yaaaay~" Amitie cheered
…
…
…
"You were separated to begin with?" They were a little disappointed at Silvana's confused reaction.
"Oh, we never told you?"
"Um… I don't think so…" Sil tried to recollect.
"We've been divorced since before we've known you, Sport."
"Seriously?"
"We're gonna be a bride's maids!~~~" Amitie shouted.
That widened Sil's eyes a bit. "Awesome!"
And thus weeks later, the two got remarried. The experience made Sil never forget she's part of the family. As she had one glorious memory with them.

Also no wedding chapter. Because they went through with it without a hitch. I won't forget about the Rose Family, but I do want to bench them for a little while.
