'Fiddlesticks…' Amitie swore in her thoughts. 'Sis' chain looks humongous! I'm gonna toast!'

And indeed Silvana's chain was destined to be a 9-Chain at most! Amitie's gonna be buried!

"Gyah!" Silvana exclaimed flinching. She made a critical mistake, she won't be able to set the chain off. She gonna be buried by Amitie's 5-chain!

"Noooo!" She shouted, sounding as fragile as thin ice.

"Siiiiis!"

Chapter 85: Suddenly Suzuran

"And that's how we teleported to your world in front of your shop." Amitie explained to Ringo in Ringo's room.

"How fortunate that you teleported here then." Amitie's redhaired friend with the curled pigtails replied. Having listened intently. "What if these margins weren't in your favor and ended up in the Shinano River or something?" She morbidly chuckled. "I kid."

"Not very funny, Ringo." Amitie frowned. "Sil and I could've gotten lost."

"Speaking of which." Ringo turned her head slightly to her other guest lying on her bed. "Are you feeling better now?"

The masked Silvana turned to the redhead. "A little…" She mumbled sounding deflated.

Ringo turned back to Amitie. "Is she really scared of Garbage Puyos?"

Amitie nodded. "Something bad happened to her."

"I can imagine. It seems like she's got some kinda PTSD, given that she barely responded to anything. I can't imagine being scared of a few clear Puyos."

Sil half-heartedly threw a pillow at Ringo's face. But she didn't get close to hitting her. "It's of falling Garbage Puyos."

"Doesn't sound that much better." Ringo's remark made Silvana pout because she was out of pillow ammo. "You ripped a hole in space-time to get me home. And you're afraid of stacks of Puyos?"

"Shut it." Ringo's inquisitive words did nothing to quell Sil's current insecurities.

"Wait, Sil did that for you, Ringo?" Amitie butted in. "You were back in Primp recently and you didn't tell me?!"

"I have school, Amitie. Last time I visited before that I had a lot of Schoolwork to catch up on when I got home." And that's when Amitie quietly shut up.

Sil quietly stood up, still shaky yet excited. Step by step she got to the window to look at the sight out of it. She was in awe, if only she could see it without black see-through cloth filtered eyeholes. "Wooooow. Suzuran is just as futuristic as you described it." She referred to Ringo.

"I know right?" Amitie answered with one of her big doofy smiles. "You should wait and see what's inside some of these buildings!"

Ringo was mildly baffled "I keep forgetting how special all of this seems to you guys. It's just modern times to me. Meanwhile, your era seems to be most equivalent to… I can't pin it down exactly. You guys do have modern sensibilities though but your tech is way behind."

"So many people…" Silvana mumbled as she looked down on the shopping district from the window of Ando Groceries. Primp's streets would only be this full when the market was in town.

"You sound a little better now, Sis~"

"I wanna explore this city!" Sil stated, her adventurous nature has resurfaced to the top. Having been forcibly laid to rest by a lot of executive decisions and practice sessions at the circus. She was hopping at the chance to walk through something new.

Amitie smiled seeing Silvana in such high spirits. "C'mon, Sis, let's go out on town!"

"Yeah!" They high-fived and went for the door.

"Stop!" Ringo yelled.

"Huh?" The clowns turned. "Oh, my bad. You coming?" Silvana asked.

"I can't, exams. And you better not go. I don't want you guys to get lost, you have no Yen either."

Sil squinted her eyes. "What is a yen?"

Ringo made a deal with these two. The three of them planned a day they can hang out and tour Suzuran to the best of Ringo's abilities. Silvana memorized the coordinates to rip a tear in space onto Ringo's rooftop so they can meet up. She only allowed Silvana and Amitie to hangout, not any other friends. That would be a net loss on her budget.

"That's so nice of you to do for a masked stranger like me." Silvana held her heart area, truly she was touched. "Are you sure about this?"

"Sure, sounds fun. I've been meaning to hang with Amitie again, and you're her sister apparently. Plus you're a masked stranger that brought me home with no fuss (a town over but semantics), that equals to me owing you a favor."

"It's a deal!"

About a week later, they finally went on a trip.

"So do you always wear a mask?" Ringo asked wandering through the park as Sil was busy being amazed at the infrastructure this world had achieved.

"She does." Amitie answered for her sister. "Don't pull it off please."

"Any reason why?"

"Yep." Judging of off Amitie's answer, Ringo calculated she wouldn't get an answer.

"Is that a boat?!" Sil shouted rhetorically, looking down at the top of an incline at the river!

"I wanna see the boat!" Amitie joined. She's less impressed overall, having seen bigger ships pass through during previous stays.

"Boats drive through your city, Ringo?" Sil turned to her redheaded tour guide.

Ringo stood there, mildly baffled at how amazed this girl was. "You can see giant ships at the big white bridge over there." She pointed backward with her index finger at said bridge barely visible through the buildings between here and there. Ringo didn't say the name of the bridge for the two.

"Lead the way." Silvana pointed in a way that reminded Ringo of Arle. She wondered how she was doing.

On their way there, Ringo slowed down to ask a question of this weird girl that seemed older than her. "So are you in character?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Silvana asked back

"Because you're a clown, you seem to be playing a little dumb, but you're not as jokey as I thought you would be."

"A-Are you saying I'm inept at my job?" Sil put her fists on her hips.

"N-No!" Ringo said defensively. "I was just asking if you're in clown mode at the moment. You're overexcited about everything. It kinda seems like an act. I mean, Amitie is like that too, but she's Amitie."

"That right~" Amitie jumped with her fists in the air.

"Oh." Sil calmed down. "I'm rarely in-character, and I'm genuinely impressed, it's been a while since I felt this…" 'Pure?' "Excited. Your world is so interesting."

"Then you should see the rest of this world, Sis~" Amitie giggled.

"What?"

Ringo giggled as well. "You haven't seen the divided half of it yet, Sil. Tell'er, Amitie."

"Oh boy!" Amitie skipped, she got to gush about that world tour she did with Ringo and Suketoudara to stop this world's Puyo Puyo-pocalypse. (Play: Puyo Puyo 7 at your own risk).

"Wow." Sil listened intently, she slowly turned to Ringo. "Can you buy me an atlas of the known world, pretty please?" She needed to discover it all to herself and maybe take Sig along in the hopes of a romantic time.

"Uhm… Sure. But it's more like an atlas of the full world."

"What?! This whole world's been charted? How?"

"Are you sure you're not playing dumb?"

Let's not get into the conversations when Sil saw her first "Self-Traveling Chariot" drive-by.

After the girls were done boat watching, Ringo suggested they went out for ice cream. All the ice cream was already paid for as Sil and Ringo ate it sitting down at the table outside the ice cream shop, but Amitie couldn't choose the flavor for the one scoop Ringo would buy for her.

Sil had mask complications. Ringo put her apple on her lap as temporarily took Silvana's cone. "C-Can you look away for a bit?" Sil pantomimed turning Ringo around.

"Sure." What Ringo heard behind her was what she presumed Silvana's hand rummaging through her shoulder bag. She heard some muted metal clanging noises from the metal box in the bag. Took Ringo a little by surprise, she kept her neck stiff though.

"You can give me my ice cream back now."

Ringo turned around to see a big mouth gap where the mask's mouth should be. "An eating mask?" She handed the cone back in the clown's hand.

"Yup." She said matter of factly before she freely licked on her snack. "Because my mask does hinder somethings. Like eyesight and eating."

"Then why do you wear it?" The curious Ringo asked. "From the little I can estimate around your mouth you don't seem to have much to hide."

"Tch." Sil made that noise in a jokey manner. "I'm not telling." As she took another lick at her ice cream scoop she soon felt something cold trough her skirt all of the sudden. "Mrrr." Silvana grumbled at the molted drop of ice cream. "The first day I wear this skirt." She wiped it up off as she hastened her eating.

"That skirt doesn't look that expensive."

"It isn't. And I'm a performer, both on the clock or not, my clothes get dirty all the time, this is nothing new. But this is a day off and I just wanted to dress a little nice and now there's a stain on it."

"Dressing nice?"

"Yeah."

"While wearing a clown mask?"

"Yeah. It's cumbersome, but I'm not me without it."

And that's when Amitie came out of the building with a scoop of blue ice cream with lots of sprinklies. "MmmMmmmm~" Amitie's tastes buds were satisfied. "That the bestest decision anyone's ever made for me! Thank you!"

"What flavour did you get, Amitie?" Silvana asked, a bit weirded out the blue color.

"Something called Smurf. No clue what it is but it's so yummy~" Amitie sat down between the two.

Ringo quietly lamented they didn't have apple flavours. Oh well. She wanted to talk about something else. "You guys, ready for the circus later tonight?"

"Huh? We won't perform until two days from now." Sil said.

"Yeah."

Ringo was confused until her eyes lit up. "Did I forget to bring up I got us three free tickets to the circus playing in the town over?" Ringo stylishly showed said tickets off. There were indeed three of them.

"A circus?" That caught Silvana and Amitie's attention.

"We get to see a circus in your world, Ringo?"

"You sure do! Thank Maguro. His family got these." She flapped the tickets before putting them back in her purse. "But they couldn't go. Maguro could, so we were planning on going along with Risukuma. (Maguro and Ris are friends of mine.)" She said for Silvana's benefit. "But then they couldn't come for separate reasons, so he gave me these tickets."

Amitie didn't keep up.

"In short; It all adds up to a happy coincidence that I get to share it with a bunch of literal circus clowns." She got a kick out of calling them that not getting any blowback from it.

"Get real! You're taking us to the circus?"

"That's what I just said, Amitie."
"That's what she said, Ammy."

Both Pierrot and Pierrose were excited. This world was already more advanced then what they had. Anxious to see what a circus here would be like.

"Count us in, Ringo!" Amitie affirmed.

"This circus also apparently has a bonus concert planned. About 3 pop songs or so in total."

Silvana scratched her head. "What would pop even be in this world?" She couldn't wrap her head around it.

"It sounds really weird, but in a good way~" Amitie gave her professional opinion.

Ringo pulled out her smartphone. "I can show you."

"Put your magical thing away, I wanna be surprised."

"Suit yourself." She put the phone back. "And it's not magical."

"How?" Sil raised an arm, the way you'd silently ask why.

"I can't explain exactly why, but believe me it's all electronics in there. No mana to be found in here or this world."

"Um… Ringo." Amitie spoke up. "You keep saying that. But ever since I've known you you've had lighting magic."

Ringo grinned. "You mean this?" The let a zap of electricity escape from her fingertip for Sil's benefit. Sil was non-plussed. "This may look like magic to you, most in this world think so too, but it's just a rare medical condition."

"Ringo!…" Amitie yelped. "Is it dangerous?"

"Not to me, at any interest. Doctors speculate that's the reason why I'm so active and why my eyesight is so good~"

"Oh! That makes sense!" Amitie's eureka moment everyone: "Now I know why someone so smart like you doesn't wear glasses."

Silvana bursted out laughing and a conversation unfolded with a confused but offended feeling Ringo.

~S-H-O-P. A Clothing shop in here. Shopping with a clown, writing everything down~ Ringo sung.

"Hey, that's actually pretty good, Ringo." That's debatable.

"Hee hee. Thanks~"

While these 15-year olds were passing chatting it up, Silvana was busy looking like a weirdo scribbling everything she liked down on a notepad. Ringo and Amitie were following her around. She was like a kid in a candy store.

But since Ringo's limited budget certainly couldn't afford anything more than a belt, and there's no currency exchange between dimensions. So she scribbled everything down she liked and trusted Oshare Bones to replicate these articles that she hadn't seen much of if at all in Primp or Zeri.

'I'm making that old corpse very rich.' She joked about all the money he's received from her. 'Not as colorful as back home, though.'

Sil spent over half-an-hour writing down the tops alone. Amitie giggled to herself, she usually divorced this thought from her mind. But she did find it funny this girl spawned from Arle's image.

Arle openly stated she didn't deviate much from what she usually wore safe for a few costume changes. And here Silvana is making full use of a walk-in closet.

"So when do you do think you're done?" Ringo casually butted in. "I mean, this is your tour around Suzuran. But we still have a circus to go to."

Sil turned her head from the surprise. "How much time do we have?"

Ringo chuckled. "Calm your conic sections, we have a lot of time left. But um… window shoppers do tend to be looked down on and you're drawing a lotta looks as it is."

"And I wanna see more of the city!" Amitie whined.

"I'm almost done! Just a few more. Frills…" Scribbled. "About 17cm…" Scribbled.

About an hour later they waited around at the train station. Sil sat around in amazement. She saw trains whiz by in the distance before. But it didn't sink in how fast they went until she saw one up close. This was ridiculous!

"And you're saying this is public transportation in your world?"

"Pretty much." Ringo said non-plussed about it. She's already seen Amitie gush about them before.

"Yay~ I get to ride a train again!" And she still is.

"Oh, this is so much cooler than the transport back in my homeworld!"

"You had public transport back where you're from, Sis? Oh, lemme guess! A carriage tugged along by a big creature right?"

"Nah." Sil shook her head. "It's cooler than that, we had flying squirrels to fly around on."

Ringo and Amitie looked at the masked girl as if she's crazy.

Silvana looked back at them. "Are you guys saying flying squirrels not a thing here. Or back home?"

"Yes."
"No."
"But we don't ride around on them."
"What's a flying squirrel? That sounds familiar."
"How big do those squirrels have to be. Ours' are like this small."
"Can you take me flying sometime, Sis? Sounds exciting~"

Sil couldn't make out what either of them said. They had so many questions. It did make her wanna sneak back to her birthworld and hitch a ride for fun.

Sil enjoyed the train ride, it was so fast! Her eyeholes were glued to the window as everything close by was going fast and everything else in the distance went by slowly. Amitie joined in, the scenery was nice too. And this was only one section of this country, of this continent, of this world.

It quelled her want for a Flying Squirrel. Now she just wanted to ride more trains. Silvana absolutely needed to travel this world whenever she could. But for now, she gonna see her colleagues in this world at a circus in this.

The three sat down around in the middle tribune within the circus tent. They had a decent view of it all where they sat.

The show hadn't started yet but so far Sil and Amitie weren't as impressed as they thought they would be. This tent is bigger that Puyo Puyo Circus, and judging by the outside this traveling circus had more employed then Primp's stationary one. But that was a given to them. This world overall seemed larger.

Silvana did have a note block ready. In case they did something new.

The lights dimmed, and the spotlights turned on shining directly on this circus' ringmaster. Welcoming the audience to the show.

"He has a funny accent." Amitie noted.

"This circus hails from European Russia. All Russians have funny accents, Amitie." Ringo said.

"Sounds cool." Silvana gave her two cents.

The scope and production values did make Silvana feel really inadequate as an owner of a circus the more the show went on. She had this urge to step up her game.

'Might not even be worth it.' The clown thought. She'd noticed the world Primp is in is less populated than Suzuran's. It couldn't be the lack of marketing that made it seem as such, flyers are posted in the towns surrounding Primp, advertising The Puyo Puyo Circus.

Silvana concluded there was some investigating to be done, she'll bring these points up during the next circus roundtable.

"Weren't those Fettucini Brothers and hoot, ladies and gents?!" The MC shouted.

The audience, including the three girls, cheered.

"You want more?!"

The audience cheered some more.

"THEN YOU'LL GET MORE RRRRRIGHT AFTER THIS CONCERT INTERLUDE AND THE BREAK AFTERWARDS!"

And crowd. Goes. WILD!

"He could've made that flow better." Sil's critique was left inaudible by all the noise around her.

Apparently this upcoming band was a popular act.

*Outside the tent during break…*

Sil and Amitie were overwhelmed.

"Okay, Ringo. How's that not magic?"
"That girl's voice sounded so unreal!"
"Because those are clearly some type of ghosts performing."
"I don't mean it in a bad way though~"
"Ghosts are more magical than magic, in case you didn't know."
"I kinda liked it~ So flashy! I wish I could sing as fake as that."

"Ehheh, believe me, Sil. If those were ghosts I would've left the tent."

"So, you're not totally, absolutely scared stiff by the idea of ghosts anymore?" Amitie innocently asked with a big smile still present on her face.

"…They're holograms." Ringo said to Sil.

"No, I'm pretty sure those are ghosts, they are too transparent to not be ghosts. Just with weird lines."

"That's just what holograms are. It's a bunch of lights making an illusion, to make us see what isn't there."

"Well now that I know that I can never hope to have such illusions in my circus now." Sil pouted.

"Can't you find a magical equation to fake ghosts?" Ringo threw out there.

Silvana stared at the studious girl's face. She took out her note block, to scribble that idea down. This needed to be looked into, be it researching the subject, or crafting it herself. "Good idea."

"You're welcome." Ringo grinned and pointed with the back of her hand pointing down. She then peeked at the time on her phone. "Twenty minutes until the show goes on. We should get some snacks."

*Hours later, back on Ando Groceries' rooftop…*

"I guess is goodbye." Ringo said.

"For now."
"For now."
Amitie and Ringo agreed.

"Yeah, it's been fun~" Sil chirped. Still enamoured with what this world had to offer. "I'd love to revisit it." (Don't tell her that this world is actually terrible, let her have her fun.)

"You're welcome, though I can't promise to pay for you guys next time."

"That's okay. I'd like to pay you back with free circus tickets for life at the very least for what you've done for me. Ifyougimmeanatlastoo."

"Aw... You don't have to do that, Sil… But I'm sure as an unsolvable problem gonna take it." She pointed with her apple holding hand. "Been meaning to visit Primp again. The leftover Puyos are becoming scarcer. And I can't always rely on Puyos, girls like you or histogram forbid Ecolo to bring me home."

"Well, as long as I'm around I'll gladly send you home!"

"I can't wait for your next visit, Ringo~" Amitie was excited at the prospect.

"Let's go home, Ammy. I'm tired." Sil was about to tear a rip in space when.

"Wait!" Ringo held her hands in front. "I got a good-bye gift for you guys. I forgot to get it. Wait here." A minute later. "Here, it's for Sil." The redhead handed a gift-wrapped item.

"Aw…" Amitie whined.

"Thanks!" … "Soooo… Should I open it now?"

"You better." Ringo giggled. "You wouldn't know how to work it without me."

Sil was about to rip it open. Amitie absolutely was bouncing up-and-down for the rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrip!

"Careful! It's two separate things! You might drop one of them."

"Ah." There goes the satisfying rrrrrrip.

After removing the gift wrappings, the clown was left with two identical devices with screens. Semi-identical, one was more scratched up then the other and they both had different colors. Also included a charging cable.

"What are these?"

"They're devices made to train everyone in Puyo Puyo in case the next Puyo-pocalypse happens. So we're more prepared next time."

"Ooo~ooo~~ Smart." Amitie praised.

"Yep. I figured you could use mine more than I can after the messy state I observed you in last time."

Sil's eyes widened. If she heard Ringo right, she can finally enjoy Puyo Puyo again without becoming a crying mess.

Ringo showed the ropes of it. Not of Puyo Puyo. But how these devices worked, how they wirelessly connected for versus matches (1-on-1 only for what Sil was given). And how to charge them up with lighting science. Er… Magic.

"Oh!" Sil put these devices in her pockets and embraced Ringo. "Thankthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou-hou~!" She cried.

"Yippee! You're awesome, Ringo!"

"Eheh. Yep. Though, Maguro should get some credit for this too. He did give me a hand-me-down. That's why that one is so scratched up. Sorry about that."

"That's okay." Sil said at ease, still hugging her newest hero.

"Can you let me go?"

"Oh, sorry." Sil blushed sheepishly. "Sorry about that." The clown raised her hand, ready to scratch back home. "Seeya!" She saluted.

"Say hi to Maguro and Ris for me!" Amitie requested.

"Only if you say hi to Arle for me!" Ringo requested back.

"If she remembers you." Sil snarked as she opened the portal.

"She does." Amitie set the record straight. "Bye, Ringo, see ya next time." She waved and continued to wave as the portal mended.

… "If she remembers you?" Ringo cupped her chin with her thumb and index finger.

Author's Notes:
Sure lucky Sil momentarily forgot about the go-home spell… Guess she didn't want Amitie to walk all the way home.

Don't know if they have Smurf flavours in Japan.

I sadly cut the scene where Sil hugged Ringo. Because of the sudden ghost.

Also, cut out jokes of why Ringo always holds an apple. It was intrusive.

How was this Ringo? Because I always have trouble writing for her. Sure, I've done it before. But I sure don't remember how.

Next up: Act finale. Silvana and Sig get closer to each other. Yet stay apart.
