The Story Begins
About the fair Ladybug
And the tough Spider
The Ladybug flew
As happy as she can be
Please watch where you fly
The Spider was near
Made an invisible web
He was real hungry
He got his next meal
The Ladybug was trapped
Lights out for her
"Any last wishes?"
"Yes! Please, take my kids instead"
"Why the heck should I?"
She had thought about it.
"Because they fill up better
In your big belly"
Chapter 86: The Ladybug's kid
"Now what?" Silvana asked lying next to Sig on the couch. Holding a notebook with all the material they got so far.
"Um…" Sig tried of thinking of the next plot points, and then how to convey them in five or seven syllables. It took a toll on his head.
The teens heard some house keys dangling on the outside of Sig's house. "Uncle's back, Sig." She put on her mask.
Sig was still deep in thought on how to save that poor ladybug's life and her kids.
"I'm home!"
"Hi, Uncle." Sil greeted. "How's my circus doing?"
"It passes yet again." The inspector smiled, albeit weakly, likely a long day. "What're you two doing?"
"Something Klug taught us. Haiku."
"Oh, Klug…"
"We're making a story entirely made of Haikus. Pretty fun so far."
"May I read it?"
"Sure, it'll take a little bit before Sig will come up with the next one. Take your time." Sil compassionately put her hand on his shoulder. Instinctively Sig put his cheek on it. "Here, Uncle."
Uncle Stan read the story they had so far. "Ah… Um… Interesting."
"Are you okay, Stan?"
"Nothing I can't sleep off. Would you two like some input?"
"Sure." Sil said partially on Sig's behalf.
"The Ladybug should outwit the Spider."
"Hmm… How?"
"Oh." The Uncle wasn't expecting a follow-up question. "The Ladybug should disguise something stronger than the Spider as her kids."
"Let's go with that." Sig seemed satisfied with that answer. "Thanks, Uncle."
"Thank you. Let's give it a shot." Sig and Sil started counting syllables.
"I'm preparing dinner. Afterwards I got something special for you two."
"Oooo~ Nice." Sil turned her head away from the poems.
*After dinner…*
"Thanks for the curry, but please make something else next time. I eat other things." Sil said.
"I just wanted to make sure you enjoyed it."
Sil giggled. "Thanks." She stood up as she brought the dishes to the kitchen and left them there. "So you had a present for us?" Sil said as she wrapped her arm around Sig's, making the boy smile. He rested his head on hers.
The uncle smiled as well, but not as much as he usually does. He does seem tired. Must've had to deal with an uncooperative restaurant owner or something. "You're so cute together… I've prepared a spell for you."
"What kind of spell?" Sil asked. Sig did his best to not doze off and lifted his head off Sil's to try and pay attention.
"I can't tell you. But it's harmless spell you'll get a lot of fun out of. And I can reverse it at any time."
"Hm..." Sil thought about it.
"I'm cool with it." Sig said.
"It probably can't hurt." Sil shrugged. "Lay it on us."
"Alright. Keep holding each other like that." The Uncle didn't call out the name of the spell he casted, usually bad spell etiquette, but it was supposed to be a surprise.
Sig and Sil certainly felt a tingly as the spell washed over their bodies. Sig let out moan, it felt nice to him.
"…Is that it?" Sil asked. "Because it feels nice but it's disappointing if it's just a pleasant sensation."
"You two will see what happened in the morning. Be sure to sleep well tonight or else it won't work. You wouldn't wanna miss it."
"Okay, I believe you." Sil said. She then addressed Sig. "I'm gonna go home then." But Stan intervened.
"Before you can teleport away!" He took out a twice folded piece of paper and put it in Sil's hand. "DON'T OPEN IT!" That sudden scream spooked the clown enough to drop it on the floor. Sig picked it up for her.
The uncle held his hand to his forehead. "I'm sorry. That's meant to be read in the morning. Put it on the nightstand. Make sure it sticks out so you can't forget or even miss it in the morning."
"Sure?" She tucked it in a pocket. "I'll make sure to read it." She turned to look Sig in his sleepy eyes. "Seeya tomorrow after school. Let' bake something yummy~"
"I wanna finish the story."
"That too." Sil grabbed her stuff and went home. "Can't wait to see what this spell has in store for me, Uncle! Bye, guys!"
"Bye, Sil."
And that's when she teleported home with a blown kiss and an implied wink.
The Uncle sighed behind his ward. "Sig, you… Just tell her you love her."
"I'm waiting." He flatly stated.
"Sig." The Uncle said in a more assertive tone. Unlike the laid-back attitude he usually took with his sister's child. "There is such a thing as waiting too long."
That remark made Sig a little uncomfortable. He got a hug from his uncle. "There there…" The black-haired red-eyed man patted the light-blunette boy on the back. "It's not like I think Sil will ever leave you… Frankly, she's just as guilty. She's should've asked you too."
"I feel like she would be happier if she asked me."
"Why? Seems to me that she'd be far more overjoyed if you asked her."
"…"
"Sig. I want you to know that I think that you deserve the best. Now please take a shower, brush your teeth, and go to bed." The drained Uncle said.
"Okay, Uncle…"
…
…
…
"Can you let me go?"
"Wha? Oh! Yeah! Right. Sorry. I can doze off too." Stan laughed it off.
Sig had such a nice dream. He was chasing bugs with Silvana in an open field, and they laughed and complimented each other. Had a picnic together, where he shared some of his baked goods with her.
Halfway through, the dream shifted jarringly into a nightmare, completely divorced of what Sig was dreaming about beforehand. It was about Sig saying some hurtful things Sil in her Doppelganger clothes and making a crying wreck of her in the middle her big top in front of everyone she cares about.
And then the dream jarringly shifted back to the outdoor picnic. Sig comforting the dream Sil with her favorite type of hug. From behind and arms around her waist. This time it put them both peace.
Though the dream Sil did have some emotional whiplash over this. She's really confused why Sig toyed with her emotions like that. But she was calming down. Her clothes slowly transformed back into her everyday ones sans the mask.
Sig liked her more without it personally. But he understands why she wears it.
The blue-haired boy was slowly waking up. And he felt off.
Well off wasn't exactly the right word. Everything felt completely wrong was more like it.
For starters, Sig's wasn't exactly a lucid dreamer. He never really had control over his dreams, even sleeping under Sil's dreamcatcher. He couldn't exactly think clearly most of the time. But this felt like a conscious effort to put the dream back on track.
Despite the grogginess of due to just waking up. His head felt far clearer. It's a good thing, but it did feel wrong.
As for everything else that felt wrong… Quite literally everything else. From top to bottom. His feet, his legs, his hips, his torso, his face, his mouth, the mana flowing through him, and the pajamas he was wearing to mention a few. It felt wrong, but it felt so natural too. It weirded him out. He almost didn't wanna find out what happened.
But he kinda had to. His arm felt weird. Both of them! For one, they felt the same. They both felt like normal humanoid arms, instead of a normal human arm and a red monster arm that never stopped pulsing.
He was too confused to find any joy in this at the moment. With his eyes still closed he moved both arms to roll up his pajama sleeves to get a good feel for them. They both felt so smooth. As he rubbed the arms to get a feel for them the higher he went up those arms he noticed something peculiar.
That's when he shot his eyes open. He let out a gasp. That was a sensation unfamiliar to him. He got distracted from that for a moment. He noticed where he was. "What am I doing in-" 'Sil's room?' He stopped because he heard Silvana talk. But looking around him, Silvana wasn't there. "Sil?" He heard Silvana, speak again.
But twice in a row, she said what he was saying.
Sig had too many questions. He first got a look at his hands though. They were indeed normal. Both did look smaller than usual. But they did look normal.
He'd also got a much clearer view of them then he usually did, and the room come to think of it. He couldn't explain it exactly. The boy sought out Sil's full body mirror in her bedroom to the right side of the bed. No? Left then? Yes.
"Did S…" Sil spoke again, she heard Sil's feminine voice again but she's nowhere to be seen. He got out of bed. "Where are…!" It was almost like it came out of his mouth.
He had trouble getting to the Mirror. "Ouch!" Sig let out a girl-ish yelp. He fell on his side where his normal arm was. Years of having that heavy red arm made him adjust to walking a certain way to maintain balance.
But that's not important. He sure as heck heard Sil's voice out of his mouth. He needed to get to the mirror despite the weird way his body felt and the pain of the fall gave him.
He made it to the mirror and his suspicions were proven true.
At the mirror, he saw Silvana in her pajamas mimic his every move. His head hurt thinking about this. "I-I'm Sil?" Sig pinched and poked her body all over to confirm with Silvana's nerves he was in her body. And indeed he felt every poke.
Sig overreacted to every poke. He and Sil seemed to have differing pain tolerances. "H-Have I always been Sil? WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" He screamed, he felt weirded out by that fact, Sig wasn't one to scream.
Sig wasn't one to act on a lot of emotions if he had them. But here he was. He stared at his own(?) reflection. He figured he wasn't dreaming anymore. But that sure didn't stop the now red-haired, red-eyed girl(?) to question his(?) sanity.
As a diversion, his eyes and senses were focused on something else. "Kuh!" He gasped from the sensation. The one he felt back under his sheets. Sil's sheets!
Sil took Sil's hands off the cloth that covered her breasts. He's felt them before once or twice. But this was something else. Looking at himself(?) in the mirror, he was blushing. And if he could, he'd blush some more. He felt ashamed. Worse than that time where he helped Sil take a bath after she went crazy from that tower trip.
Sig looked around Sil's room. It felt wrong. He's been in this room hundreds of times. Everything was in the opposite place where they're supposed to be.
That and everything was taller. Though Sig quickly figured that was because Sil was ahead smaller than him.
Though he still wasn't entirely convinced he was Sil. Sil did admit she was crazy several times. Making him crazy because he's Sil. "Should I have listened to myself? Who am I?" He clasped the back of his head and pulled it down.
Doing that made him notice a familiar piece of paper. "Is that the note Uncle gave to Silvie?" He said to no one in particular. It appeared to have a little tape attached to it. Implying it was taped to the mirror but not very well.
Sig remembered that his Uncle wanted Sil to read it. But clearly, she isn't here and/or he is her.
He decided "Screw it" and just opened it.
It was written backwards. Sil truly wasn't kidding when her eyesight was mirrored. "Mirrored." Sig glanced back the mirror. He read the paper's mirror image;
Hey, Sig. And don't worry, you are Sig.
I hope you weren't too alarmed waking up as your girlfriend. I've been working on this spell for months and I figured it would get you two even closer.
Don't worry about Sil. She'll be safe in your body. I've asked her to pretend to be you for the day. And I want you to pretend to be Sil for the day. Tell no one!
See it as a learning experience! Also, it's a funny prank to play on your classmates and bugs. I'd bet Kloog would have a great reaction.
Sig chuckled at it. He covered his mouth, he'd normally not find that funny, let alone laugh at it.
Please pretend to be Silvana to the best of your abilities.
With that said, I know you're a good kid. But please. DON'T do anything that Sil wouldn't approve of. Anything that would make Silvana dislike you in other words.
Sig's shoulders pushed inward, making him feel weird along with uncomfortable. Sig didn't like the idea of Sil hating him.
Also, and this should go without saying, but just-in-case; ANY USUAL NO-NO THINGS TO DO GIRLS STILL APPLY IN HER BODY. Like touching her breasts for example. Don't do that, girls don't like that.
Sig felt guilt swell up in Sil's chest. He wanted to put her hand on her chest because it seemed to be Sil's muscle memory, but stopped himself.
And please, don't try and do Sil's acrobatics. You're too valuable to die to an accident.
Please come to the ruins around two hours after school. We're gonna check if Sil's still afraid of real Puyos while in your body.
"Am… I now afraid of Puyos now?" Sig pondered. "It would suck if I am." He continued reading.
Please bring some friends. Their reactions will be priceless.
Sig chuckled again. He didn't fight it this time. Felt good to laugh. Also good to hear Sil laugh.
Be safe, Sig.
Always looking out for you; Your Uncle
Sig fully intended to put this note in Sil's pocket later.
The boy would be lying if he actively appreciated his Uncle. But this was an exception. He wanted to thank him for clearing this all up. Which he'll have to do after school, apparently.
Sil's alarm clock went off. Sig immediately silenced it. "School! Should I go?" He panicked. He wasn't late or anything. But it was something to consider.
It surprised him how much he cared about school.
He looked back at the mirror. Sil looked a little like a mess, her sweaty bedhead made Sig notice she stunk a bit. Sig guessed that Sil exercised a lot last night and neglected to shower.
He figured he could clean Sil up a bit. Because he knew that Sil did care about being presentable.
That plan turned a bit sour when he had to shower(/bathe) while in her body. "Why couldn't you have showered, Sil? Why?"
And with that over with, the guilty feeling blushing boy in the girl's body had to experience the awkwardness of putting on someone else's clothes on their body and other people dressing him up at the same time.
Feeling guilty over putting on both undies was not a feeling Sig wanted to repeat.
Brushing her long hair was fun though. It always was. Distracted from all the awkwardness he felt.
Getting lost in the caravan was less fun. Due to how Sil's sight worked. Everything was much clearer through her eyes, but that doesn't help if he can't find the way back to Sil's room.
With all that out of the way. Sig took another good look in the mirror. He sure saw a maskless Sil back perfectly mimicking his every move.
Sig did his best to dress himself up as Sil. He hoped he didn't miss anything to break the illusion. He's wearing all the casual clown-y stuff she typically wore, her hair was done in the low hanging twintails as usual for Sil. Sig didn't know how to apply make-up. Be it real or magical fake make-up Sil's been doing lately. But now more than ever Sig wondered: "Why does she even bother?" He said looking at the mask on the side.
Sig made himself laugh to his surprise. That wasn't funny, yet here he was. It didn't matter if he laughed at his friend's harmless thing she does. He felt a little guilty. Not as much before.
He sat down to catch Sil's breath. "Hehehe, what's happening to me?" Sig said with a smile on his borrowed face. As he looked up back into Sil's face. It was all so surreal to him. Seeing Sil's cute face with that cute smile.
I made Sig smile twice as wide. Wider then he ever did on his own body. He felt so giddy. Hopefully, he didn't stretch Sil's mouth muscles too badly.
He put Sil's symmetrical fingers at the edge of her mouth and pulled the lips' edges upward. Sig had no idea why but he kept on laughing.
He innocently played some more with Sil's body, played with Arms as if he was Sil. But after a while, he started to worry about Sil. And the worry Sil's body felt… It took a lot more for his body to feel the same amount…
And seeing that worried face in the mirror… He felt obligated to go to his school and check up on this body's regular host. To see if she's okay and to simmer down the worry. He had a terrible feeling that something bad would happen to her!
Sig put on Sil's Pierrot mask and the bag he gifted to her in the Clown's early days in Primp Town. He checked what's in it just in case. Of note, he found a spare mask and metal box that once held Sil prisoner. Sig didn't dare touch it because of that. Even if it's a glorified storage room now.
Sig did his best to not look awkward walking around in a symmetrical body unlike his own. He's getting there but keeps falling over from realizing he's going the wrong way to the caravan's exit.
Once he finally stepped out he felt disoriented. "Oh." He looked at the big top which was in the wrong direction from the main caravan's door. "And Silvie's just used to this?" Sig recalled her telling him that she had memories before she was created as Arle once or twice.
Meaning it took her a while to realize her vision was mirrored until she came across a piece of paper with words on it. "Poor Sil…" Sig said in her shoes. "I hope I don't have read anything."
He looked around some more through Pierrot's mask holes. "How does she live like this?" Sig readjusted mask with the mostly functional eyeholes. He wore them before out of curiosity, but actually being her didn't help him see much better through them.
He walked in what he thought was the direction of Primp Magic School. The bug catcher had to check several times to be sure. Sig wished he could observe his surroundings without seeing it through the mask's filter. Everything looked so clean otherwise.
"How would a bug look like through her eyes?" Sig cupped Sil's gloved fingers on her chin rubbing her index finger on her lips. He couldn't wait to find out. Sig had a big grin on Sil's face as he made her body run to the nearest flower patch.
The bug enthusiast ran the wrong way. Don't worry. That path lead to the second nearest flower patch.
But that's when he remembered his highest priority is to make sure Sil was okay.
He noticed that while in her body he was a much clearer thinker. His thoughts were so clear he forgot about Sil! The talk to bugs would have to wait. The for-the-moment girl sped walked towards the school.
He went the wrong way for three minutes.
"Hey, Silvana!" Sig stopped in his tracks. He recognized that friendly voice. Though it didn't sound as friendly this time. He felt Sil's blood boil. "I got a package for you!" The voice got closer.
The boy uncontrollably gritted Silvana's teeth and clenched her fists while he was at it. 'What's happening to me?' He thought to himself as his mind steadily became clouded, leaving little room for thought. "Hraaaaah!" Sig turned around, trying to claw at Arle with the what would be his red arm.
Arle always anticipates this from the clown. Thankfully, Silvana did do her best not to assault her, but Arle never let her guard down around the clown. She remembered from a forgotten memory how to do a physical damage negating block!
Rendered moot as Sig's rage swipe completely whiffed. Resulting in him losing Sil's balance and landing on her face.
People were watching, including some police. They gasped.
"Calm down."
"Guguguu!"
Arle and her buddy calmed to them crowds down.
Arle started to explain the police agents."This isn't the real Pierrot."
Sig gasped. "How did you know!?" Sig pushed up to look at the girl he tried to assault before he knew it. 'My cover's blown? How!?' Arle looked surprised and then gave Sig a wink while keeping an aggravated look towards him.
Arle told the officers to leave this impostor alone. And out of respect of Primp's Puyo Puyo Champion they did what she said. She could handle herself.
The blue-clad sorceress/mailman waited for the police to be out of earshot. "You can get up, Sil." She said in a tone of thinning patience. One Primp Town is not that familiar with. "I'm not helping you up. I've saved your reputation, and that's more than enough on my end. Now get up and take your box."
'So she was lying to protect Sil.' "Thank you…"
Sig couldn't see it, but Arle's eye widened at his tone of voice. "Are you… crying?" Arle wasn't sure.
'No point in hiding it.' Sig thought face down. Not daring to look a dear friend in the eye after what he'd done. "I'm so-ho-ho so-horry, Arle!" He used Sil's arms to express himself as he let it out. "I don't know what came over me! I heard your voice and something just snapped in my head." He slammed the ground. "I didn't mean to attack you…"
"Simmer down."
"Gugu gu."
Arle got Sig up. "Don't wanna draw too much attention towards you." She lead him to the alleyway where they could safely converse.
Whatever Arle said, Sig blocked it out. "I-I just heard your… your… voice. And all I could think about is wanting you dead, Arle." Sig shivered. Not daring to listen to her or see her face. "I don't want you dead."
"Guugu?"
Arle was floored. She's seen Silvana vulnerable before. But never like this. Especially with only Arle around.
"Don't worry, Silvana!" Arle spoke with determination. "I'll make it up too you. When I see my doppelganger that did this to you… I'll make sure she pays to what she di-"
"No! Sig squealed." Still trying block her out.
"Gugu guguguugu gu?"
"Carby's right! Why not?"
…
Sig stammered over his words. He's gonna give Arle the wrong idea of what's he say no matter what he's gonna say.
Arle came to her own conclusion. She gasped. "I-Is she in town? Does she have sway over you?"
"No!" Sig half-lied.
Arle folded her arms. Looking at the clown. "What to do with you?…" The mailgirl felt a tug at her skirt. She turned to see Carbuncle tugging while standing on top of her delivery wagon. He held a mask one of his stubby arms.
"Gugugu gugu gugugu."
The blue wearing brunette looked back and forth between Silvana and Carbuncle. Silvana was still wearing her mask. She figured it fell out Silvana's bag when the attack whiffed. Arle looked back and forth some more with a different thought going through her head each she did it.
Sig kept on shivering. Hoping Arle would go away for his sake as well as Arle and Silvana's. He couldn't get the words out.
"Will you look at me like this?"
Sig heard Arle say in a foreign accent.
…
"Silvana!" The boy jumped. Arle simply demanded to be looked at with just one call of the name. Sil's neck straightened on its own.
"Sil?" He reflexively said at the brunette wearing the mask.
"No." Arle said while readjusting the spare mask. Sig couldn't see it but Arle's judgemental faces towards Sil were as strong as ever. "You're Sil, you clown." She continued speaking in the accent.
"Oh, oh yeah…"
"Answer me, Pierrot. Will you talk to-"
"Snrk, hehehehaha!"
"What's so funny!"
"The mask, hahaha!"
"Don't point! You see this mask every time you look in the mirror."
"Sor-hahahaha-ry! I don't mean to laugh."
"Gugugugugugugugu! Gu guguguu gu." Carbuncle laughed, making Arle sigh.
"Not you too, Carby… And yes this accent does seem to be needed." Arle raised her head. "Will you stop laughing and look at me." She commanded. Sig tried to curb his laughter, it was harder then you may think. He normally doesn't laugh this much or this easily. He obeyed. "Thank you. Take a good look at me. Do you want to kill me like this?"
"I don't wanna kill you…"
"Stop avoiding, Silvana. Do you feel the need to kill me like this?"
"…I… don't think so?"
"Good." Arle smiled even if Sig couldn't see it.
Actually Arle was quite happy about this. "Mind if I keep this mask for a little? In case I run into you again today?"
Sig nodded.
"Thank you, Sil. I'll figure something out. I don't think we'll work something out between us. But I'll take anything to stop you from being so hostile towards me. (It's bad enough Schezo has found me and Amitie has spoken to the Dark Prince…)" She half-grumbled even if she was happy she remembered them.
"You're so smart, Arle." Sig praised while shaking her Arle's hands.
Arle had trouble processing this. Hearing Sil be this sincere towards her. "Are you okay, Sil? Do you need help?" The mailgirl asked with concern.
"Uuhhh… " Sig thought of what to say. "Kinda? I was on my way to get some?" To him, this was a half-lie.
"Well, I hope you get it then." Arle grabbed the handle of her wagon. And took a box out of Carbuncle's hands. "This is for you." Sig took it and put it in Sil's bag.
"Thanks, Arle." Sig nodded. "Um… Can you come to the ruins two hours after school is over?"
"…Gimme a good reason to trust you." Arle spoke coldly.
"I think Uncle has a party planned, or something? He wants me to invite friends. And I guess he doesn't mean bugs?"
"…Friends, huh? You really should get help. I'm sorry, I'm not going."
"He apparently has something to cure Si- me of my Garbage Puyo fear. You can pop Puyos over me if you want." Sig wasn't sure if he was selling Sil out.
Arle didn't wanna admit it but Silvana's shy body language was really kinda endearing. "If I got the time then sure." Arle smiled. "As long I get to see more of that side of you."
"Guuu. Guu. Gugugu gugu gu." Sig still can't understand Carbuncle like Arle and Silvana can even in the latter's body.
"Thank you. Sorry." Sig said quietly and a little fidgety. The boy didn't know why he was so inclined to do way more body language things than he'd do normally in his own body. He didn't move much at all if he didn't need to. But here he is, and it made him feel awkward and embarrassed.
Arle shrugged. "Just stop attacking. Aaaaaaaaand maybe visit your therapist more." Arle started walking off. "I kinda rely on him on not being in the hospital thanks to you."
"Gu!"
"I uh…" 'Tell Sil…' Sig nodded. He got the impression Arle smiled behind the mask, but she might not've. Sig barely glimpsed her taking the mask off in the distance. He felt more of that feeling he did when he attacked Arle.
Fortunately, Sig had Sil's body and brain under control this time.
"I gotta get to Sil." He got as fast and steady as he could to Primp Magic School.
*Later, at Primp Magic School…*
"And now please solve these sandwich puzzles, kiddies." Ms. Accord said as she handed out papers with Puyo Puyo problems on them. The instinctively almost handed it out to Klug's table. "Oh, silly me. Klug isn't here today."
"Safe to say he isn't coming at this point, meow."
"You're probably right, Popoi. Klug doesn't skip school if he can help it."
"Cat flu?" Popoi threw out there.
Amitie raised. "Can I give him his homework, Professor?"
"After class, Amitie."
"Okay." The red-hatted girl hoped to get out for some early fresh air.
"Nice try, Ammy." Sig's body dryly whispered. Vaguely sarcastic sounding, but in a vaguely friendly way. The blue spirit protruding from the boy smiled.
"Thanks, Sig." Amitie whispered back before she went to work.
Outside the class, in the hallways, Sig was nervous. He's gonna confront Sil and his classmates looking like Sil. If he didn't convince them he has Sil they're gonna laugh at him. Unlike Sil, Sig upon thinking about it didn't like that.
Sig breathed in, and out. Repeated it until he was calm. He slapped Sil's cheeks put up a smile. He got into character.
The now-girl knocked on the side of the door and leaned against the door opening. I semi-confidence.
"Hiya, Sis."
Lidelle smiled and waved.
"Hmph…"
Amitie, Lidelle and Raffina did in that order.
Sig looked weirdly at his own body. There it was. With Sil's mind in it presumably.
His body's expression looked about like it did in the mirror if he was happy about something.
"Ah, Silvana. To what do we the pleasure?" Ms. Accord smiled.
"Oh." Sig snapped out of it. "I got something important to tell Sil. I mean Sig! Sorry, not the best sleep? Didn't have the best sleep." Sig stumbled his way through the conversation.
"Then tell her."
"It's…" Sig cobbled up a lie. It was scared him how quick he could think of one: "It's private."
"Omigosh! Are you two finally gonna be a couple?" Amitie wanted it to be the truth. Sil's face flushed red as the entire room had his attention. Even Raffine seemed to have an interest in the two's relationship here.
Sig covered Sil's cheeks. Because the blushing Sil had had more feeling in her cheek then he did. He wished he didn't cover the cheeks though. It got an overwhelming reaction out of everyone. "Pl-Please. We need to talk."
"We do." Sig's body nodded sounding exactly like Sig with minor differences. "'S important." And just as talkative though.
"Hmm." Accord thought about it.
"String her along quick." Popoi answered. Accord nodded. "Or Sig will have to do schoolwork."
"G-Gotcha." Sig gestured for Sil to follow him in a part of the school where they won't be bothered.
Sig held his hands and looked up into his own stoic eyes. "Are you okay, Sil? Are you okay in my body?"
"What're you talking about?"
"You've gotta be feeling really foggy, are you holding out in there, Sil?"
"You're Sil. I'm Sig."
"What?!"
"Are you okay, Sil? You need to lie down?"
"Muh-Maybe. Uhm… Am I really, Sil?"
The girl's body clasped its head. The mind inside was confused.
Until Sig's body let out a quick snort. "Silly Sig. I'm Silvana." The spirit, Li'l Sig, seemed to laugh.
"Are you?" He sounded uncertain. The guy in front of him did have his little blue spirit and he didn't.
"Yes." The male body dully replied.
"And that makes me Sig?" Sig's body nodded. "How can you be so sure? Why did you say you're Sig?" Sig wasn't used to asking this many questions in quick succession.
"It was a joke."
"Well, it wasn't funny!" Sig bursted out. He then glomped Sil and rested her head in his chest. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to yell!"
"'S okay."
"It's just that it's all so confusing to me."
"Didn't you get Uncle's note?"
"Y-Yes. And I don't wanna be like this for long…"
"Oh."
"Your body is too much."
"Your body is too little."
Sig gasped and held his shoulders.
"Are you doing okay in there?"
"Head's too foggy. Can barely think before I'm lost."
Sig nodded. That was his head alright. That took away a lot of his concentration.
"I could barely make that joke. And don't even get me start on uh… um…" Sil tapped Sig's head. "What was I-"
"Long sentences?"
"…I think so? There's something about it… your body. I've possessed boy bodies before. That's not the problem. But something about yours… Ow. Where to begin?" That question seemed rhetoric as she held Sig's constantly pulsing arm. Sig's attention wasn't always there before he got that red arm. And it was certainly shot when that thing started pulsing.
"I know. You can tell me when we're back in our own bodies."
"I wanna do some now." That almost sounded like whining. "You're a narcoleptic. I can't walk straight. Your sight is mirrored normal and your eyesight sucks." She said bluntly point by point. "Like one's farsighted. The other's nearsighted." She pointed at each eye.
That was curious to Sig. As far as he could remember his eyesight has always stayed the same throughout his life, unlike the red parts of his body. Though he guessed with how clear Silvana's eyesight was, his was pretty bad. Awful actually.
"I'm taking you to an op… An opti… What's the word again? Eye doctor after this is over."
"So my eyes can be enchanted see like you do?" Sig did like the idea of that.
"I was thinking of cute glasses instead."
Sig raised an eyebrow, and spirit on his body too. "How will glasses help?"
Sil raised an eyebrow. "Glasses make you see better."
"They do?" Sil answered Sig's question with a simple nod. "I never knew that." He put a hand to his borrowed forehead. "That makes a lot of sense. I thought they were face accessories."
"How?" Sil lifted Sig's human and demon arms in a shrug.
"I don't ask too many questions. I think… "
"Can't think straight enough to argue… Do you like being in my body? I forget." She scratched his head in a way he wouldn't.
"Maybe? This is all too much."
"Word."
"So I saw Arle…" Those words made Sig's body flinch a bit. "And I… I…" Sig choked up. "Just attacked her out of nowhere. I didn- KUH!" The boy gasped.
"Shush." Sil told him while gently hugging him around her waist. Sig felt pacified by his own arms and his chin resting on Sil's shoulder, which was only enhanced when his spirit wrapped around him too. The worries were still there but they didn't eat at him anymore. "How's that feel?" Sil said with all the kindness in the world.
"It feels so nice~" Sig said in unprecedented bliss. "Is this how it feels to you?" He said in tranquility.
"Hm-hmm."
"I love you." He blurted out, not caring he said it.
"I know… Sig?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't take off my mask."
"Wh-Why?" Sig's came up with an answer quick. "Because you'll confuse your face for Arle's?"
Sig felt his body swallow. "Seems like my body made me hate Arle, maybe. Since you hate Arle now. Maybe that body has been brainwashing me for years? Thinking of Arle, it still hurts. I'd still be a danger to her… I don't want anything to happen to you…" Sig felt sad again. That was a terrible moment for his head to go lucid.
"Woah! Uh, owowow! You're hugging me ow-wow too tight!"
"S-Sorry." Sil let Sig go.
Sig held Sil's waist as he gritted her teeth. "I'll be okay because I know you'll be okay."
"Debatable."
Sig moved Sil's hand to her shoulder. Feeling through her jacket, the straps digging into her shoulders. "Speaking of tight…" That got Sil's attention. "Your suspenders are so tight. It's starting to hurt."
Sil stared for a few seconds before she wordlessly readjusted them.
Sig slapped Sil's forehead. "S-Sorry. That kinda thing I usually don't notice…" The normally cyan-headed boy felt so stupid.
Sil empathized do to being into his current body.
…
…
"AlsosorryIhadtotouchyourboobstherewasnowayIcouldn'veavoidit!"
…
…
"Cool."
After some brief little chatting about various stuff as what to expect from Sig's Uncle after school, Sil succumbed to Sig's narcolepsy. Sig left Sil in Ms. Accord's hands.
The boy waved good-bye to his classmates as he preferred to be alone before he went to the ruins. Just to let this whole debacle quietly slip by. He didn't really feel pranking people with this opportunity he got. He wanted to be back in his own body, and think about what he could actively do to improve it. "Is this what girls mean when they say they're inadequate?"
Sig had no clue either way. He walked the streets with his thoughts and his train of thought is still went on an uncomfortable amount of time without getting derailed. 'Maybe I can get a taste of my own baking.' "Ow." There was a tug at Sil's hair.
"Are you the real Pierrot?" A girl asked.
"Oh, ummmmmmmmmm…" Sig didn't wanna disappoint the kid but he felt like didn't have a choice. "You how Santa has helpers that pretend to be them?" To beat a dead horse, it astounded him how quick he came up with that analogy.
"Oh, so you're like Pierrose when she dresses up like Pierrot?"
"Um… Kinda? I'm not Amitie though."
"Oh, is that Pierrose's name? Cool!" The girl was psyched up. "Tell real Pierrot I wanna see her playing Accordion again."
"Will do!"
In the intervening time, decently spread apart, Sig told that to two other different little kids. "Sil's popular. Did I ever notice that?" He scratched her head.
"I certainly take notice of you all the time!" A sudden dramatic voice shouted from behind Sig. Sig turned around to notice a cloaked figure. Some people took their leave. "Have you ever felt yourself?" Sig blushed. "Your assets are simply unignorable!"
"A-Are you, ffflirting with me?" Sig felt so weird.
"What!? I said something wrong again, did I not?" The figure facepalmed.
"May-Maybe?" Sig's no stranger to being flirted too. But this is the first time he actually affected by it.
"Find me in the alps… I meant: ever felt your own magic?!" The stranger threw his cloak off.
The people on the streets gasped.
"It's the creeper!"
"Run magicians! Save yourselves!"
"Schezo Weggee from the wanted posters!"
"Yes, lesser magicians. Run from my throbbing might. I shall get have no pleasure from you as this clown shall provide!" Schezo pointed his sword, there was a Puyo match of distance between them.
There was a silence between the two. Sig wasn't sure what to say to Schezo besides accepting his challenge.
"Hmm." Schezo let his guard down as he sensed something. "There seems to be something different about you, you sad clown."
"Is there?" Sig learned a new technique on the fly: playing dumb.
"Yes. The spark you had doesn't seem to be there anymore." Sig noticed Schezo thinking, perhaps sensing a bit more. "Have you sucked off the essence of someone else perhaps?"
"Please stop."
"Mrrgrrrgrrr. I MEANT YOU HAVE CYAN AND CRIMSON ESSENCE FLOWING THROUGH YOU! The latter of which is I passionately desire."
"I guess that makes sense…" 'Though, do I have an essence? Or do I have a soul? Does a Soul even work on Essence Holder's body?' Sig wasn't sure.
"Prepare to be impaled by me in battle!"
"I'd rather play Puyo Puyo." Those words made Schezo lose his composure.
"Puyo Puyo? Puyo Puyo?! Be consistent! Do you want to pop the cute jellies or not!"
"I do." Sig said blankly. "For now?"
"Very well! You deserve to be drained by my hand and sword for stupid decisions like that, you masked wench!"
"SHUT UP! Don't insult, Si… Me like that!"
"Tch. It matters naught. Let us…"
"I've been meaning to ask. Are you one of those people other people tell about that they love the sound of their own voice?"
"Grrrrr! Puyo Puyo!"
"Puyo Puyo!"
*Did you know draws are possible?*
Both magicians dug themselves out of the jelly beans. "Best two out of three." Schezo demanded.
"Or can't we just go our own way? I have somewhere to be." Sig looked at a clock tower. It's about time for him to head out and see Sil and his Uncle at the ruins.
"I refuse that offer no matter how much you beg! I won't be satisfied until I have beaten you silly!"
"You will do no such thing to my sister!" A high pitched voice announced her presence as she barricaded Sig with her body. "Oh, fiddles…" She just remembered that Schezo was out of her league.
"No fiddles, Amitie." Arle stepped up, masked.
Schezo's face got scrunched up. "What is that dialect? Have you joined up with these clowns, Arle? Haha!"
"Have you, Arle?" Amitie asked excitedly.
"Ta-da!" Carbuncle gu-gu'd. Wearing a clown nose.
"No. I don't have to explain this mask to you. Just get lost, Schezo." Arle didn't wanna deal with this.
"I shall never leave your-"
"sides, ladies."
"sides?"
Arle finished and Sig guessed.
"I grow fatigued of this! Have at you!" Schezo swished sword in the air for round 2. Seemingly having enchanted an unknown spell onto it with his hand. He pulled out a crystal shard of some kind. "I'll have you three three-on-one. For this Blue crystal grants me the powers of a mystic knight! You thought you knew my raw prowess, but you have seen nothing yet! For you see, I am a different man since last we mEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!"
Sig and the girls were caught by surprise by the dark mage who just during his monologue dropped his charged sword and collapsed on his knees. He looked in a seemingly random direction. "Such power. Not even the Dark Prince dares to unsuppress like that his power unless that fool deems it necessary."
"I don't feel anything." Amitie said.
"Of course you don't!" He got up. "This pulsing power… I can feel it! It's juicier than anything else I've ever sensed!" Schezo sounded like he was salivating. "Such a wave of crimson!"
"Does this guy love the sound of his own voice or what? Does he even know what he's saying?"
"I think it's yes to both?"
"First question: Yes. | Second: I don't know sometimes." Arle cleared up.
"Well, it has been fun," The sword-wielding mage lied. "but I'm off to become unstoppable!"
"After him!" Arle shouted as she gave chase. Amitie and Sig followed, the latter tried his best to keep up without losing balance.
"Will he really be unstoppable?" Amitie asked Arle.
"He's never lying about power, so possibly. He could be exaggerating but that's best-case scenario."
"Girls! He's running in the direction of the ruins!" Sig shouted in distress.
"You're right!"
"Think he's after Sig?!"
"I hope he isn't!"
"I know Sig's got a strong arm, but is her really that powerful?"
'Silviiiieeeee!'
The trio tossed spells at Schezo in hopes of stopping him. Or at least slowing him down. But that didn't happen. He did slow down, but not because of all the attacks he tanked, dodged, or parried. His greed was some motivator.
He slowed down because he was overwhelmed the closer he got to the ruins, he collapsed again. The girls just raced past him after freezing his hands together and doing the same for his feet.
"This is too much!" The mage didn't lookup. "Does whoever that fool is not know there's a thing such as too much crimson magic!"
"Do you?" Arle asked. To which Schezo said nothing.
"Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" Sig hopped back and forth pointing at the ruins, panicking!
Schezo was later found by the police, stripped of his sword and crystal. He was forced to do community service again.
At the ruins, Sig, Arle, and Amitie found a distressing sight.
Klug being bound and gagged in a corner.
Sig's uncle looking all nervous as his black hair looked more red-ish as he held a conversation.
And Sig's body from behind floating, having red hair, a cape, a familiar red demon behind him, and his body further mutated. Both arms were like his red one, and both his feet were similarly mutated to be big, red, and sharp. All four of these limbs looked misty too.
