Of all the things the Pizza Clown cashier expected to happen tonight, he definitely didn't expect a dog and a skinny naked kid to show up. But life likes throwing curveballs.
Shaggy and Scooby were sitting in a corner booth, waiting for Velma, Daphne, and Fred to help them. While waiting, Shaggy asked the cashier if it was okay for him to put his feet on the table, instead of the cold ground. The cashier didn't care, and Shaggy proudly placed his somewhat dirty bare feet on the table, and it made him relax a little.
"What are we going to do, Scoob? We're not facing a guy in a costume this time. We're facing a real monster, who could actually kill us." said Shaggy.
"What can we do?" asked Scooby.
"Maybe Daphne, Fred, and Velma have a plan ready when they come in here." said Shaggy.
"Your dog talks?" asked the cashier.
"Yeah, he does." said Shaggy.
"You two are a weird duo." said the cashier.
"Yeah, we get that a lot." said Shaggy.
After waiting for what felt like 10 minutes, Shaggy and Scooby heard a knock at the entrance. It was the rest of Mystery Inc. and the two friends were relieved. They quickly went up to the door and unlocked it, letting Fred, Daphne, and Velma in.
"Are you two okay? Are you hurt?" asked Fred.
"No, we're fine. He didn't hurt us." said Shaggy.
"So, this guy was wearing a knight outfit, right?" asked Daphne.
"Yeah, but that's not the scary part. And I know this going to sound crazy, but I think he may be a ghost." said Shaggy.
"A ghost? Shaggy that doesn't make sense." said Fred.
"Dude, the guy had green mist coming out of him and he had glowing green eyes." said Shaggy.
"Green mist and glowing green eyes? Sounds different from Mr. Rigby's ghost." said Velma.
"And he had a sword!" said Scooby.
"A sword he tried to kill us with." said Shaggy.
"Okay, okay. Where is this guy now?" asked Fred.
"We don't know. He was chasing us, but we managed to lose him. He could be anywhere really." said Shaggy.
Almost as if it was right on cue, a sword crashed through the window of Pizza Clown and it landed right near Mystery Inc., which terrified them all to death.
"Alright, that's it. I'm calling the police." said the cashier, who was just as shaken up by the moment.
When he grabbed the store phone, the sword levitated off the ground and cut through the wire, rendering the phone useless.
"Okay, I guess I'm staying here." said the cashier.
Soon enough, the sword floated back to the Black Knight Ghost and Fred and Daphne saw that Shaggy wasn't exaggerating. This was indeed supernatural.
The knight went up to the gang and the gang thought of their options.
"We should attack it." said Daphne.
"Daphne, ghosts can't feel pain." said Velma.
"But this isn't a spiritual ghost, it's a physical ghost. We need to find a weak spot." said Fred.
"Like, what weak spot would a ghost have?" asked Shaggy.
Daphne was willing to attack first to find out and she kicked the knight right in the groin, which surprisingly affected him as he groaned in pain.
"Wait, that worked?" asked Daphne.
"Daph, let's run before he gets up." said Shaggy.
And that's what the gang did. They ran right out of the restaurant and eventually, the knight chased after them. Thinking of a plan on the spot, Fred told Shaggy and Scooby to run towards the infamous old well that was a few blocks away, and Shaggy and Scooby did just that. The infamous old well was a well that was located on a small hill near the local cemetery. Its' infamy came from how many people fell down the well, either intentionally or unintentionally, with no one making it out.
Shaggy and Scooby made their way over to the well and when they got there, the knight was looked at them and had his sword out, ready to slice the two friends. The two did notice that Fred was behind the knight, holding a shovel, so they had to pretend they didn't notice.
The knight took a swing at Shaggy and Scooby but missed as the two moved out of the way at the last moment. And in that particular moment, Fred hit the knight in the back with a shovel, causing the knight to fall in the well. It took a good few seconds before they could hear a splash.
"Okay, he's done. He shouldn't get out of there." said Fred.
"Thanks Fred. You really saved our butts." said Shaggy.
"No problem. Like I was going to let you guys get slashed." said Fred.
Daphne and Velma soon rejoined the group and Velma said, "Shaggy, I'm glad you're okay."
"Me too. I was really worried. That was the scariest thing we've ever been through." said Daphne.
"I know but we're still here." said Shaggy.
"True. So, you still want to have the Halloween party? It's okay if you don't want to go after everything that happened tonight." said Daphne.
"You know what, let's do it. A party sounds really good right now." said Shaggy.
"Okay, let's go." Daphne said before she and the rest of Mystery Inc. went to her house to have a great Halloween party, in spite of the events that happened earlier in the night.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. I didn't expect to have attempted murder in this story, but weird ideas pop up when I write. The next chapter will be the last chapter and it will more or less be an epilogue. Also, I'm working on many stories at once and school is making things more difficult than they need to be, but I'm going to do my best updating these stories so stay tuned. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye for now and stay safe.
