Chapter 9: Trial and Error Part 2

A few minutes later, everything was set up and Chazz stood facing the guardian.

"Now listen here, you weirdo. I've had a very bad day, and I'm really not in the mood for any shenanigans. So if you think I'm gonna let you walk all over me, you've got another thing coming!"

"Yeah, you tell him boss!"

"We're not gonna take it! No, we're not gonna take it!"

"Chazz it up! Chazz it Up!"

"WILL YOU SHUT UP! YOU THREE ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!"

Everyone in the audience except Jaden sweat dropped, slightly embarrassed by Chazz's antics.

"Are you ready, Mr. Princeton?"

Chazz snapped out of his angry tirade and returned his focus to his opponent.

"Uh, yeah, sure."

"Very well."

GAME ON!

Embust: 8000

Chazz: 8000

"Since you let us go first last time, I guess it'd only be fair to let you go first this time."

"Thank you. I draw!"

Perfect. With this hand, he won't know what hit him.

"I'll set one monster face down. Then I set two cards face down and end my turn."

"Is that all you've got? Pathetic! For my turn, I'll start with Fiend Sanctuary, giving me a Metal Field Token. But he won't be sticking around for long, because I sacrifice it to summon Armed Dragon LV. 5! Take out his face down!"

"I activate Magical Cylinder, negating your attack and sending it right back at you."

Chazz gasped as his attack got send back towards him, pushing him back with a grunt.

Chazz: 5600

"Urgh, I'll set one card face down and end my turn."

Embust calmly drew his card, looking at his hand briefly before making his move.

"To begin, I flip over Parasite Parascide (500/300)."

Everyone cringed as an ugly red and green...thing unveiled itself.

"Now, since my Parasite was flipped face up, it goes into your deck face up."

"What?"

Chazz could only watch in horror as the insect transformed into a ray of light and shot into his deck. But the guardian wasn't done yet.

"Next, I activate my face down, Jade Insect Whistle. Now you're forced to take an insect from your deck and place it on top of your deck."

"But Chazz only has one!"

Chazz groaned, realizing Syrus was right as the unwanted addition appeared on top of his deck.

"Continuing on, I summon Pinch Hopper (1000/1200). Next, I play the spell card Multiplication of Ants, tributing my Pinch Hopper to summon two Army Ant Tokens (500/1200 X2). And when Pinch Hopper goes from the field to the graveyard, I can special summon an Insect Type Monster from my hand, and I choose Insect Queen (2200/2400) in attack mode!"

Everyone cringed as the massive insect let loose a fierce howl.

"For every Insect on my field, my Queen gets 200 attack points (2200-2600) I'll end my turn."

As Chazz moved to draw his next card, the Parasite leapt from the top of his deck and onto his field.

"Surprised? When you draw this card, it automatically summons itself to your field in defense position, but not before taking 1000 of your life points."

Chazz groaned as a red aura surrounded him, sapping him of life points.

Chazz: 4600

"It gets worse for you, I'm afraid. My Parasite changes all of your monsters to insects."

Chazz snarled as his dragon took on insect like features, such as antennae and mandibles, giving Insect Queen more power (2600-3000).

"I activate Graceful Charity, drawing three cards and discarding two. And one of those two was Ojamagic, letting me add the three Ojama brothers to my hand."

"Ah Yeah, its our time to show!"

"Let me at him, let me at him!"

"Just say the word!"

"Next I activate Ojama Ride, sending these three pests to the graveyard to special summon Y-Dragon Head and Z-Metal Tank from my deck!"

"Ah man!"

Chazz ignored the three's whining, tossing them into his graveyard and summoning the three combo pieces he needed.

"Next, I activate Call of the Haunted to bring back the X- Head Canon I discarded. Now I banish all three to summon XYZ- Dragon Canon (2800/2600) in attack mode!"

"Have you forgotten about my Insect Queen? She gains 200 more attack (3000-3200)."

"Actually, I didn't forget, but it doesn't matter. By discarding one card from my hand, your Queen goes bye bye thanks to my Dragon Canon's effect!"

Embust gasped as the futuristic tank blasted his queen to pieces, squashing her like the bug she was.

"Now my monsters, take out his army ants!"

With a blast and a slash, the army ant tokens, causing Embust to shield himself from the debris.

"I'll end my turn there. Your Move."

Sighing Embust drew his card, knowing that no matter what it would only be a matter of time before Chazz won.

"I activate the spell card Insect Barrier. Now you can't attack me with Insect type monsters. My turn is over."

"Is that it? I'll discard one card so my Canon can rip your barrier to shreds. Next, I'll move Parasite Parascide to attack mode and have my monsters attack you directly!"

Embust shielded himself from the onslaught of blasts, slashes, and tentacles, nearly losing his balance.

Embust: 1900

"I'll end my turn. If I were you, I'd make this turn count. Otherwise, it'll be your last."

With a weary sigh, the guardian drew his card. Although he knew there was no way he could win, he wasn't going down without a fight.

"I summon Jirai Gumo in attack mode (2200/100)! attack his Parasite Parascide!"

"Don't forget, before your attack goes through you have to flip a coin."

"Yes, I know."

A virtual coin appeared, flipping itself. Once the coin had reached its peak, the guardian made his call:

"Heads!"

The coin landed, spinning around before landing on...

Tails!

Embust sighed in annoyance, a red aura enveloping him

Embust: 950

Their audience cringed and turned away from the Parasidte's grim demise. With its influence gone, Chazz's monsters returned to normal.

"My turn...is over."

"Gotta admit, I thought you'd be a lot tougher. Oh well, Armed Dragon, take out his Bug!"

The large dragon roared, smashing its opponent under its claw like the bug it was.

Embust: 350

"And now You...Go... BYE BYE!"

Embust merely closed his eyes and accepted his lost as Chazz's machine blasted his life points to oblivion.

Embust: 0000

Chazz wins!

"Congratulations, traveler. You were the superior duelist."

"Please, as if there was any doubt."

"You only have one more duel to win. Who shall be my next opponet?"

Before anyone else could say a word, Syrus stepped forward, fire in his eyes.

"I'll take you on."

"Very well, challenger. Prove to me you have what it takes to win!"
