AN: Dammit, I looked at the fic and the = sign had no effect. This means I'll have to use letters. I hope that doesn't ruin the immersion for any of you. I just have to make transitions clearer. I won't have my work weight down by such stupid little things. But that aside, we're entering second place. I want you guys to know that there will be far more than in the game. Each team member needs to reflect on how they became who they are. And the deadly sins aren't going to cut it. Have no fear though the rest of the sins will make their way into the fic.
Btw: If you're wondering what Ryuji's palace music sounds like. A youtuber by the name of Ode Imaginations does great fan music. He's made palace themes for all confidants in the game. Look up Ryuji's and it'll be a perfect fit for this palace. 3
Many of you are concerned that the Phantom Thieves aren't powerful enough to face the gods of the Justice League. Have no fear friends, by the time I'm done Ryuji alone will be able to punch Superman and be able to draw blood. :3
WARNING: graphic violence, gore, language, sexual situations/ possible lemons, mention/act of rape. The Dark Knight deserves a dark story.
I own neither the Persona series or Batman
FEEDBACK:
Calderoneric758: That's interesting, the user fuses oneself to their persona. That could work for something I have planned.
X King 014: I hope you like what I have planned for Sionis. Imagine Al Calpone when I write. Thanks for the support!
Firem78910: Welcome to my fic 3 Trust me when I say Bat-mite will get his. I'm glad you liked Satanael's prison escape.
Enjoy!

"GOOD MORNING GOTHAM!~ Welcome to waking up with Sally!" Sally Summers flipped her long red hair. Her blue eyes shone with glee. Getting rid of Ryder was the best decision the studio has ever made. Sally's upbeat and positive outlook has brought massive viewership from older and richer audiences. An escape from the reality that is Gotham. Applause filled the stage, the set long changed to a more talk show like program than news.
"Thank you. Thank you. I love you all. We have a special show for you today~. Basil Karlos has released a new book on his process for his acting methods called "Playing the Part". I've read through some of it backstage myself. It's such a juicy read." She lied. But the studio wants her to keep pushing the film coming soon. A lot was riding on it doing well.
"After that a master chief will join us for his advice on getting that summer body! June is not that far away after all!" Sally cheered.
"On a more serious note. Wayne's gala last night seems to have crashed. Authorities believe it was the work of the Phantom Thieves who made a grand debut last night." The studio went quiet for a second to add tension.
"But this host is here to assure you that all the proceeds were intact, all those incapacitiated were brought home safe! The most the Thieves did was interrupt the beautiful performance from the performer Violet. We tried to get her on the show today but couldn't reach her sadly. Now, back to the fun~! Hit it!" The band burst to life as Sally danced with the audience. It was so fake, so clearly scripted. Sally didn't care, she has made it to the top of Gotham prime time.

Industrial District, Sionis Steel Mill
The thieves all stood in an alley close to the entrance to the steel mill. Looks like the new hideout in the Amusement Mile will push it's weight this heist.
"Are we all ready?" Akria asked.
"Yes." Yusuke said.
"Always." Sumire said.
"As ready as I'll ever be. What you told me about Bat-mite doesn't sound good though." Ryuji sweated.
"It'll be ok Ryuji-kun. We'll be with you every step of the way." Haru said, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah! It wouldn't be the same team without our Skull rushing in and kicking ass." Ann chirped.
"Thanks guys. Here goes nothing I guess. Do it." Ryuji nodded to Akira.
Akira activated the app. The world swirled in a familiar black and red the day transformed into a cloudy dark night. The Phantoms exited the alley to survey just what they were dealing with. The whole of the steel mill property was replaced with a giant skyscraper. It's extremely art deco design looked straight out of the 1920's. People on the street were dressed to match. Shadows that walked among them were white skeletons wearing leather clothing. Bright red eyes glowed through their eye sockets. They were all armed to the teeth and all over the place. Wooden black masks adorned them all.
"It seems Black Mask has very old fashion values much like Falcone. Or rather wishes to exude the aura of him" Crow said. A lone skeleton walked over to the group and talked to them.
"Hey, you guys look tough. You want some work?" the shadow asked.
"Hm? What kind of work?" Oracle asked.
"Depends on what the kingpin wants. I offer ya a chance to get in with the most boomin' business in town. Black Mask Enterprises." The shadow bragged.
"Oh. Really consider us interested. Led the way sir." Queen smirked.
The shadow led them inside the giant building, the very point of it hiding itself inside the great mass of clouds.
"I hope you're all prepared to act the part. No hesitation like in Sae's palace." Crow whispered.
"It's all fake right? Just illusions, we already knew that Crow. We also know that the illusions allude to the real goings on in the real world." Noir said.
"We're here. I gotta warn ya, ya might not make the cut. If that's the case...been nice knowin' ya." The skeleton walked away rudely.
The entire building was a great mass of decoration in the art deco style. Gold and black designs were everywhere. Grand staircases surrounded a huge fountain. Chandeliers hung high and huge from the ceiling. A secretary cleared her throat at her desk in front of the fountain."
"Do you have an appointment with Mr. Sionis?" the shadow asked.
"Um yes we were hoping to get in with the new initiates." Noir said.
"Of course. Go down that hall and turn right. You can't miss it. Go anywhere else besides there and the bathroom to the left? Dead." She said simply.
The group was shocked at that. Crow made the save.
"We wouldn't expect anything less from such a prestigious company. Thank you ma'am." Crow led the group away.
"That's what I'm talking about. You can't stand slack jawed at every atrocity you see. You have to improvise and adapt to survive." Crow groweld.
"S-sorry." Violet said.
"To think he would go this far already? Detestable." Fox said.
"Let's just get through this and see just what Black Mask has in store." Joker said.
They walked through the hall. The art deco gold and black portraying itself throughout it. A nice painting or plant here or there. What got the team's attention was the random blood splatter all around them suggesting multiple random brawls among the shadows. Leather couches also were among the furniture. But instead of cushioning, it was filled to the brim with cash and drugs. A few hookers were among them, passed out and beaten. The scantily-clad woman all had tags on their ears similar to cattle.
"God I thought Kaneshiro was bad." Panther said.
"The restroom is a safe room. But I'm ready to face whatever this is now." Crow said.
"Lets go." Joker said, opening the door.
The room was a huge arena, a boxing match far in the center. Hundreds of shadows filled the seats cheering. The Phantom Thieves took their seats.
"HELLO NEW RECRUITS! MAY I PRESENT TO YOU… THE GREAT THE ALL POWERFUL BLACK MASK!" An announcer cried.
A flood of smoke entered the room, rock music blared as Sionis swaggered out to pump up the crowd.
"ARE YA PUMPED YA BASTARD?!" Screamed Black Mask.
The room was filled with a deafening cry in response. The cognitive Black Mask wore his infamous white suit with a black button up. His right hand had enormous rings on each finger, on his left wrist an enormous rolex watch. His black mask shined in the light, decorated with jewels along each crease and line. He looked like a Dia de Muertos skull come to life. On his head he wore a white trilby hat that looked like Sojiro's, only it had a pure black hat band. He tilted it sideways with his staff with a tiny skull head on top.
He danced to the boxing square, vaulting over the ropes. He pumped his chest and started his speech.
"WHO WANTS TO WORK FOR ME?" Black Mask shouted. The crowd cheered.
"That's what I like hearin'. Welcome initiates, to an irrefusable opportunity!" Black Mask said
The crowd cheered again.
"I know your plight. I see the bones of starvation, of desperation, FRUSTRATION!" Black Mask roared. The crowd was eating him up.
"All of you have been cast out by the high and mighty! The bastards up top that never give second chances!" Black Mask said.
"Where is he going with this?" Akechi asked, impatient.
"You're all viewed as thugs by everyone. Left to fight for scraps! I ask this. YOUR NAME HAS BEEN DISGRACED ALREADY! WHY NOT RAISE A FLAG TO WREAK HAVOC!" Black Mask screamed to the cheers of many.
"ALL NEW RECRUITS! THE SKULL OF REBELLION WILL BE YOUR FLAG HENCEFORTH!"
Black Mask shouted.
Skull couldn't believe his ears. Captain Kidd said the exact same thing to him when he awoke to his persona. He could still remember the pain, the hopelessness, and the excitement of finally being able to fight back against his abuser.
"I...I can't believe this is for real. All the shit he's saying...I agree with." Skull said.
"WHAT?! Skull you can't be serious." Queen scowled.
"Not with his actions, his...motivation. Captain Kidd said the same thing when I awoke to his power." Skull corrected.
"Oh yeah, I remember that. But at least you did it for the good of others. This guy just wants to get guys on his side." Mona said.
"Now, a demonstration. Bring out the rat!" Black Mask shouted. A cognition of some thug showed itself. He sweated nervously at Sionis.
"P-please sir. I promise you I said nothing to nobody about Falcone." the cognition cried.
"Funny, seeming his death is under suspicion of foul play! I told your dumbass to make it look like an accident. If you can't manage such a simple task...You're better off six feet under." Black Mask growled.
"KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!" The crowd chanted.
"Ah ah ah! First your first lesson under my employ...make a rat squeak before his death." Black Mask swung his cane to the man's head violently blood flew out of his mouth.
"Please! PLEASE! GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!" screamed the thug.
Black Masked answered by beating him to a pulp with his bare hands. The rings on his fingers cut into the skin of the thug. His beaten face was shown on the jumbotron.
"We have to stop this! He'll kill him!" Violet cried.
"What did I say about paying the part idiot?!" Crow growled.
"This is probably happening right this moment. A real meeting must be taking place where he's asserting fear into the crowd." Mona said.
"Violet. There's nothing we can do but bide our time." Fox said.
"No...No...NOOO!" Violet cried thrashing against the group's hold of her.
"YOU KNOW IN YOUR HEART THIS ISN'T RIGHT STOP THIS MADMAN NOW!" Ella screamed in Violet's head.
"I must… I MUST! I can't stand back and watch another soul lose his life when I can stop it! NEVER! OUT OF MY WAY!" Violet's sudden power pushed the thieves back as she rushed the stage.
"Dammit, Dammit, DAMMIT! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" Crow screamed as he chased after her.
Black Mask kept on pummeling on the man. A smirk hid underneath his mask, the sheer anger in his eyes staring into the man's sole. He went for another swing before he was suddenly attacked.
"AGGH! The hell?!" Black Mask clutched his chest in pain. He saw a red head in front of him, her outfit very pleasing to his eyes.
"*scoff* The hell you come from red? It's a school night ya know?" Sionis teased.
"I know I shouldn't. But even in a cognition. I CAN'T STAND BY AS SOMEONE IS KILLED!" Violet shouted.
"FUCKING IDIOT! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!" Crow screamed, violently.
"Crow! Stand down! Just because this plan was ruined doesn't mean another can't work!" Joker said. The rest of the group followed.
"Don't give me that trash! Fucking UGGGH! Black Mask you better be ready! I have a sudden taste for blood!" Crow shouted at the ruler.
"What do ya know? Kids are still just as stupid as I remember. Anyone who kills our guest here gets a free spot in the crew. Leave the girls alive, a fun night lays ahead with them. Dibs on the blonde and little red here." Black Mask walked into the darkness laughing as the whole audience threw themselves at the Phantom Thieves.
"Violet, if we survive you and I are having a long talk about how palaces work. I can't believe this." Crow grumbled, fighting off the hoard of shadows.
"I won't let innocents die again. Dr. Maruki, father...Kasumi...NO MORE!" She screamed as she slashed a multitude of shadows in half.
"Violet's very emotional Crow. If you think this is the end though you're sorely mistaken. HAVE AT THEE!" Mona blew a hurricane of wind around the shadows, the sheer force doing massive damage.
"There are too many! FALL BACK FALL- AGGH!" Queen screamed as a shadow managed to get through her defenses.
"QUEEN! I got you!" Panther yelled, healing her. Queen stood up slowly as Panther defended her.
"Burn...BURN!" Panther screamed as a massive flame storm rained down on their enemies
"DIE AT MY HAND WEAKLINGS! HAHAHAHA!" Crow yelled, he let out his intense fury on the enemies. There were just too many.
"I've found an escape route. GO GO GO!" Oracle yelled.
The thieves made a mad dash through the door and into a hallway. Random shadows popped up in their way.
"Going somewhere?" The secretary asked walking up between the shadows.
"Dammit! Is everyone ready for a fight?" Oracle asked.
"*pant* *pant* no…" Violet said.
"I'm spent, sorry." Queen groaned in exhaustion.
"I just need a moment...I'LL KILL HIM!" Crow screamed.
"You're tired Crow. Just admit it. I'm good, let's go!" Skull said, pumping his fist.
"I haven't achieved enough of a thrill~. Bring it ma'am!" Noir pointed at the secretary.
"Let us commence in a glorious battle." Fox said, pulling out his sword
"Panther and I will help the others rest. GET EM'!" Mona shouted.
"So cocky~. I'll serve all your heads on a plate to my ruler!" She shouted as she transformed into a High Pixie, the other shadows turning into Beriths.
"Piece of cake, GET WRECKED!" Skull yelled doing a mass of damage to them all.
"I'LL SLICE YOU TO PIECES!" Fox yelled, doing another blow to them all.
"Now for the finishing blow!" Noir launched a grenade, the explosion did all the shadows in.
"GO, GO, GO!" Oracle yelled. The thieves made a run out of the entrance they hid in the same alleyway they entered.
"That was close. Is everyone alright?" Mona asked.
"Yes, I'm good to keep going." Noir said.
"Same." Fox said.
"These shadows ain't nothin'!" Skull smirked.
"The rest of the team was able to heal up during the last battle. What do you want to do Joker?" Queen asked.
"Let's keep going. We need to find someway in today or we wasted an afternoon." Joker said.
"We'll have to go for stealth. Find a way in that's not guarded on the outside. Should be an open window around here somewhere." Mona said.
"Let us search." Fox said.
NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
A few hours passed of searching the area for possible openings yielding no results. The team was getting restless.
"There's got to be something. Come on." Skull groaned.
"Just keep looking. We'll find something eventually." Violet said.
"Everyone! I've found a possible way in!" Noir said.
"Coming to you!" Joker said.
He looked at the open window a couple of stories up. He looked back at Noir who smiled at him.
"What do you think?" Noir asked.
"It's perfect. Good work." Joker complimented.
Noir gave a sweet smile in response. It always feels good when Joker compliments her.
"Everyone, Noir has found an entry point. Convene at this location." Joker said.
Everyone met up at the spot and looked at the window.
"Good thing we all have grappling hooks now. Thanks Mona." Panther said.
"Anything for you Lady Ann." Morgana purred.
"Let's go." Joker grappled up into the window, the rest of the team followed.
The room was a broom closet, much like Wayne's.
"Be careful everyone. Sionis isn't as paranoid as Wayne, but knowing what we do now…" Queen warned.
"That heist was a set up from the very beginning. It's no wonder Batman tracked me so easily." Violet said.
"Let's focus on Black Mask. Batman will fall, just not right now. He nearly beat use single handedly in the real world. I can't imagine how hard it would be to take his heart." Joker said.
"Wait. Does that bastard have a palace?!" Skull asked, shocked.
"Yes, I had a hunch about it so I looked. I only have the name though, and even if we find the keywords this is what I got with just the name." Joker pulled out his phone and typed in Bruce Wayne. The screen glitched and changed into a Bat-mite face.
"Ah, ah, ah~ Too soon thieves. You got a long way to go to earn this treat." Bat-mite's sprite laughed.
"Bastard." Skull growled.
"I suppose nothing can be that easy. Come. Let's press onward." Fox said.
The team made their way through the halls, stealing what money and meds they could along the way. They came up to a strange door with a shadow standing in front of it.
"Hey, what is that? It's the only way we've haven't gone." Panther asked, behind the corner.
Joker looked and saw a scanner and a shadow manning it.
"Visitors can not go past this point, only those partnered with Black Mask Enterprises may enter." An announcer said.
"Partnered? What does that mean?" Oracle asked.
"He views his palace as a business. It must mean he wishes to have a deal with people before going past this point." Noir explained.
"Shit, how are we going to do that in here?" Skull said.
"I don't think we can. We've explored every avenue we could in the bottom floors so far. We might have to do it in the real world." Mona groaned.
"Didn't White Rabbit say she worked for him before?" Oracle asked.
"Hey that's it! We'll have her make a deal with him, but one of us needs to be with her to make the cognition take effect!" Mona said.
"Looks like this is far as we'll get today. I'll contact White Rabbit for a meetup to discuss how to go about this." Joker said.
"She's really showing her use isn't she? I can't believe how connected to the underground she is." Violet sighed.
"By the way. I've been too scared to ask. You think Selina will teach me her ways. She's just so cool." Panther asked, embarrassed, pressing two fingers together.
"I'm sure she'll appreciate the company Panter. I'll arrange a meet up if you wish." Fox smiled.
"Really? Thanks!" Panther chirped.
The thieves made their exit with a plan in mind.

Akechi cleaned glasses as he waited to hear from Akira. Apparently White Rabbit wasn't answering his calls. Ryder also wasn't here tonight, so all he could do was wait for a response.
"Hey, Akechi, did you hear?" Wave asked.
"What is it?" Akechi asked impatiently.
"Gary got arrested, busted for drug abuse. I don't like it, no one in town cares about that sort of stuff. He must have forgotten to pay his hush money." Wave sighed.
"What does that mean for the bar then?" Akechi asked, not really caring.
"Some Indian lady bought it, I never heard of her in town before. She said she wants to talk to you." Wave said.
Shit, I might get busted for being underage. Akechi thought. He thanked Wave and walked up to the manager's office. He knocked and waited.
"Come in~" The lady chirped.
Akechi opened the door and walked in. He was greeted with a formally dressed Indian woman. She reeked an aura of professionalism. Her white dress clung tightly to her body.
"Ah~ Akechi! So nice of you to join me." She said. Akechi narrowed his eyes, she looked familiar, but he couldn't quite place her face.
"Do I know you?" Akechi asked.
"Hmm. I don't think so. Wait...do you live at that new cafe in Chinatown?" she asked.
"I used to," he answered.
"That's where you recognize me! I have coffee there from time to time. But that's not why I called you here." She said.
"What reason would that be?" He asked.
She got up and walked over to him, she ran a hand down his face gently. Before embracing him in a tight hug.
"To thank you." She whispered in his ear.
"The hell? What's the meaning of this?" Akechi asked, trying to get out of the embrace.
"*giggle* You're so cold~. But what can I expect from my dark knight~?" She cooed.
"What?! Who the fuck are you?! LET ME GO NOW!" Akechi roared.
"Aw~ He's so cute when he's mad." White Rabbit popped out of nowhere and sat cross-legged on the manager's table.
"White?! Who is this woman? Why does she know me? ANSWER NOW!" Akechi screamed, trying to get out of her hold. In response she only nestled deeper in his neck.
"Don't get your feathers ruffled~! She's a friend, a very close friend. You saved her along with me from the Hatter." She chuckled.
"My name is Jaina...Jaina Hudson. I can't thank you enough for what you did." Jaina said, looking Akechi deep in the eyes.
"You idiot! You told someone else who I am?!" Akechi demanded White Rabbit.
"If I'm to work for you thieves, you must know that Jaina is part of it. If she's not that's a deal breaker. Consider it a two for one deal." White Rabbit teased.
"So you set Gary up didn't you? In order to annoy me further." Akechi growled.
"Gary would never keep his trap shut. If he were to find out about your little operation here, he would have outed you in a second. It was the best course of action." White Rabbit said, sternly.
"Besides, this way we get to spend more time with our little Crow. Isn't that right Miss. Hudson?" White Rabbit asked, playfully.
"I-I promise not to get in the way. It's just...I owe you a life debt. Who knows how long we'd be under the control of that madman. So...please let me do this small thing...as thanks." Jaina looked up, pleading to her knight. Akechi scowled at her and looked away, not knowing what to do with such a display.
"Fine...But if you out us, you'll have nowhere to hide." He growled.
"I promise on my life. Thank you...Thank you!" Jaina tightened the hug in excitement.
That was the problem with being split in two. Your personality divides into very different beings. Even when whole, the two parts of Jaina plays a tug of war for control of her mind. White Rabbit was reluctant to have her counterpart meet with her savior. It would show the hints of cards she didn't want to play. But Jaina was set on her resolve, she had to give both parts of her to the Phantom Thieves. It wouldn't feel right otherwise. White was always the cold one, showing her gratitude from more of a distance. Jaina wanted, needed to show just how grateful she was. She always knew just what to say to break White's resolve.

"Oh! S-sorry." Jaina blushed, letting him go and backing away quickly. She fiddled with her long black hair in embarrassment.
"Sheesh, Jainy. Could you be anymore obvious? You're ruining my rep!" White Rabbit huffed.
"Akira's been trying to reach you for a while. Have you answered him yet?" Akechi asked.
"No, I wanted to give you your surprise first. What do you guys want now?" White Rabbit asked, filing her nails.
"We need to make a deal with Black Mask. You are our best way in." Akechi said.
"You want me to work for the guy who would kill me if he finds out what I know? That's so cold Crow~" White Rabbit smirked.
"We need to get deeper in his palace. The only way we can do that is to make a deal with him." Akechi said.
"Ah! So you propose a double agent type thing? I don't know...What's little ol' me gonna do if I get caught?" She teased, hiding her worry.
"One of us needs to accompany you anyway for this to work. Would that be satisfactory?" Akechi asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Hmm… Only if it's you Crow~. I want my knight for protection if something goes wrong." She purred.
"Whatever...What's your deal with me anyway? It's not as if I played a massive part with your freedom anyway. I only sought to defeat Hatter because I was forced to. The rest of the victims didn't matter to me." Akechi said, darkly.
White Rabbit got up and sauntered over to him, hips swinging wildly. He noticed that her and Jaina would be the same height without her tall heels. But with them they matched each other in height. She put a hand on his cheek for a caress.
"You intrigue me. Such a broken man who I know doesn't care for the world around him. Yet here he stands in front of me. Wanting to spread the end of corruption with his fellow thieves. Why's that I wonder? Is there a flicker of light inside of all of the dark?" White asked.
"I'm not one to give my secrets away so easily." Akechi slapped her hand away. She mocked a pout.
"Nor I, but my curiosity of the thieves, of you, must be sought. I do love a man of mystery~." She cooed.
Akechi clenched his eyes shut with his hand and sighed.
"Just meet me tonight at the Steel Mill. I'll text you a time later." Akechi groaned.
"It's a date~" White answered, flirtatiously. The two women watched the boy walk out the door.
"I hate to see him go, but I love watching him walk away." White purred.
"Who's obvious now?" Jaina smirked.
"Oh, shut it Miss hold me tight and never let go." White retorted.
The two women argued over how they handled their savior. Akechi heard the whole thing.
"*sigh* Just what I need. Two women with a damsel complex." he said sarcastically. He walked out of the bar to prepare for the meeting at the Steel Mill. Hopefully, it'll go without a hitch.

"Who's my copycat Fox? Every meeting we have you bring new surprises." Selina said.
"Ah yes, this is Panther she has a question for you, go on." Fox pushed Panther forward gently.
"Ohh, I...um" Panther sweated. Selina raised an eyebrow at the girl.
"Go on hun, I don't bite...often." Selina said.
"Um...hi...can...can you please teach me your ways?" Panther asked hesitantly.
"Excuse me?" Selina asked, confused.
"It's just that...Oh god, you probably think I'm some wanna be huh?" Panther said dejected.
"I mean...no…" Selina couldn't quite look the girl in the eye when she said it.
"It's just I've always been inspired by sexy villains. Women who are strong and confident in their resolve. Women who take what they want, when they want, no matter how many times they are beaten down. So um...if you don't mind me bothering you...could I...tag along with you and Fox during your heists. To take notes on how to be a stronger woman?" Panther asked, touching two fingers together embarrassed.
"Aw~! Such a sweet talker~! You're gonna make me blush!" Selina smirked.
"So...is that a yes?" Panther asked.
"More people will make for easier thieving. So...why the hell not? I've always wondered why Bruce took in kids to train. Maybe there's something to it." Selina shrugged.
"FOR REAL?! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Panther cheered.

"Yeah, yeah...Jeez...Don't you guys have school or something?" Selina retorted.

"The demon will pay for his destruction of our future one day, Panther. All we can do is bide our time." Fox said.
"Oh sorry...I didn't mean to strike some nerve." Selina said, chastising herself.
"It's ok...I have something else to work towards. Getting stronger so I can kick ass!" Panther cheered herself up.
The bond was set between two mirrors, Ann has needed something positive in her life in all of this cesspool of a city. Selina was reluctant but willing, maybe this will lead to a pay increase. She cringed at the girl's upbeat attitude, it's been so long since she met someone like her. She shook her head.

"Remember to play along Crow. And be prepared if things get ugly." White Rabbit said, she wore a long brown trench coat to protect her from the cold.
"I'm not some ametuer. Let's just get this over with." Crow said.
They walked up to the entrance that was blocked by two guards.
"The hell are ya doin' here White?" A thug asked.
"Looking for work Clarence. My last gig didn't go so well. You saw the news." White Rabbit said.
"Makes sense. Doubt Hatter had a good salary. Alright, wait here. I'll call the boss." Clarence said.
"Your name is Clarence?" The other thug snorted.
"Shuddup and watch them!" Clarence yelled.
A good thirty minutes passed before he came back.
"Alright go on through. Gotta ask who's the kid?" Clarence asked.
White Rabbit squeezed Crow's cheeks together and shook his head.
"My little boy toy~" She teased Crow.
"*Scoff* that'll last. Go one in. You too Romeo." The two thugs laughed.
Crow grumbled as he entered the mill, at least they got in.
The two of them were directed to a dingy room with a table with two chairs on one side, and one on the other. White Rabbit motioned Crow to sit and they both took their seats and waited.
"What's taking so long. I thought he knew you?" Crow whispered.
"Hush little bird, he's only trying to psych you out. Be on guard for anything funny." White Rabbit shushed him, putting a hand on his thigh.
Footsteps were heard coming towards them, the door was opened revealing Black Mask.
"White~! It's been too long. Then again that wasn't your fault now was it?" Black Mask asked, sitting down on the other side of the table.
"Good to see you too Roman. You know how I roll, standard package." White Rabbit said.
"What about the cosplayer? Why's he here?" Sionis pointed at Crow.
"Consider it a bonus. A two for one deal. Isn't that right, little bird?" White Rabbit wrapped her arms around Crow, and started kissing him all along his mask. Crow in his frustration, saw through the act and decided to play along.
"Anything for you mistress. I'd go to hell and back for you." Crow said, charmingly wrapping his arms around her and caressing, she moaned in response.
"AW! FUCKIN' GROSS MAN! *ahem* Please refrain from pleasure during business White." Black Mask coughed in disgust.
"Ah! Sorry Roman~. I just can't help myself around him~." White Rabbit cooed.
"Ugh...I always appreciated your work White. But tell me is this kid up to the task?" Sionis asked.
Crow got out of White Rabbit's long hair. The charming mask long gone, replaced with his cold and calculating one.
"I have killed multiple times sir. Some innocent, some not. I will gladly do again under your employment. If you want I'll watch the life drain out their eyes for you, and smile at the sight of a job well done." Crow said darkly. There was an intense silinence from his words.
"Ahhh! Crow you get me sooo hot when you talk like that~!" White Rabbit moaned.
"Geez kid I've seen the same look in Zsasz. You mean every word don't ya?" Roman leaned his arm on the table and bent forward, staring Crow down. He looked in those eyes and saw oblivion.
"Anything for my love~" Crow smiled, darkly.
"I love you too my little dark knight~" White Rabbit cooed.
"Never compare me to that bastard. He'll die if I ever get my hands on him." Crow said darkly. That should be the finishing blow to Sionis.
"Now that's what I like hearin'. Standard package, two for one deal, ya?" Black Mask asked.
"Yes, one time offer Roman~" White Rabbit winked.
"Deal. BOYS GET ME THE CHECKBOOK!" Roman hammered the wall with his fist.
"As always I like payin' my men in advance. A little now...the rest when the contract's up." Roman reminded.
"Of course~" White Rabbit said.
A minion handed him his checkbook, he scribbled on it and handed it to the two.
"Gotta say White. Never pegged ya for a cougar." Roman laughed.
"You know what they say~. You never are truly leaving if you don't try new things." White Rabbit said.
"That reminds me. How much to have ya at my place?" Roman asked, sleazily.
"The price is the same Roman. Double in fact, now I'm in a happy relationship." White Rabbit licked her lips lustfully.
Roman snapped his fingers at that.
"Damn bitch! You tryin' to run me out of business?! Hard pass. Strictly standard package." Roman said frustrated.
"Oh hush! You gotta price the goods high after all." White flipped her hair.
"I'll call you when I need something. Careful with her kid. She's a freak in and out of the sheets." Roman said.
"That's what I like about her, come Mistress. We have to celebrate to a new occupation!" Crow got up and offered an arm for White. She gladly took it and laid her head on his shoulder.
"See you around Roman. My lover and I have a party to attend tonight~." She cooed, nestling into Crow's shoulder.
"Stay safe love birds. Don't do anything I wouldn't do...Which isn't much." Black Mask waved off his new employees. He shook his head at the whole interaction.
"Leave it to Gotham to show me shit that still surprises me." He sighed.
NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANAN
"Was all of that truly necessary?" Crow asked when they reached out of hearing distance.
"Hmmmm~. Black Mask denies it but deep inside he's a giant prude. He has very old school ideas when it comes to sex. Seeing you with me...saved me the hassle of sleeping with him." White Rabbit grinned still resting her head on his shoulder.
"Did you truly offer yourself to such trash?" Crow asked.
"*giggles* Jealousy looks so cute on you Crow~ Don't worry I only have my eyes on one guy~. For right now~" She stuck her tongue out at him.
"For a professional you sure can be immature. I'm not jealous, I just expect better out of a woman of your...stature." Crow tried to find the words.
"Is that your version of a compliment? You're not so ugly yourself big boy~" She smiled cheekily.
"*sigh* there's no winning with you." Crow tried to get out of her grip, but White Rabbit wasn't having it.
"No,there really isn't." White replied simply, kissing Crow on the cheek.

"THIS IS GOTHAM AT NIGHT! WITH YOUR HOST, VICKI VALE!"
"Good Evening everyone. This is Gotham at night, as always I, Vicki Vale, will give you the truth of what's happening in our great city."
"The streets were in a chaos of panic, due to hijacking of all broadcasts in the city. New Rouges called The Phantom Thieves have declared war on every villain in town. Their message was…'The Mad Hatter was only the beginning'. They claim to be upholders of justice, but with the following panic on the streets, this reporter is doubtful.
With this news there are suspensions of the thieves crashing the Wayne charity fund last night. No money was taken, but multiple people were knocked out in a broom closet. It seems that the thieves not only target criminals but authority figures as well. A particular blow was that billionaire Bruce Wayne was also targeted in the video. A harsh blow indeed considering it was his very own gala where the Phantom Thieves are thought to have struck.
People on the streets are doubtful in their abilities, considering Jervis Tetch aka the Mad Hatter while his attacks were of course detestable, he pales in comparison to someone like the clown prince of crime, Joker. This reporter asks, if they truly are weeding out corruption and sin in our great city, why haven't they taken down arguably the most dangerous and twisted man in the country?
This reporter has been saved by Batman more times than she can count. He may be ruthless in dealing out justice, but at least he can be seen in his actions. While the Phantom Thieves hide behind the scenes. Batman and the GCPD were the ones who apprehended the Hatter and freed all of his victims to their families. Prosecutor Havey Dent was the one who finally got the man a guilty verdict on the grounds of, while not in control of his actions, Jervis Tetch's heart wrenching confession of all his wrong doings and wanting to repent led the jury to believe he was of sound mind.
The question on every one's mind is:
Just who are these Phantom Thieves? Be they new vigilantes we gladly accept them with open arms. Batman wore a mask for years and has gained the trust and admiration of Gotham, even though his actions are viewed as illegal.
This is a call out to you, Phantom Thieves. Show us your face, even if it's behind a mask.
Show us your methods. Blackmail has been ruled out by investigators so just what did you do to Jervis Tetch to leave him in such a state? And finally and most important. Prove to us you mean what you say. All of the experience of corruption in our police and the gruesome violence scum do to innocents, have left this reporter cautious and jaded. I know I speak for the citizens of Gotham when I say they feel the same.
This is Vicki Vale, hoping for another flickering candle of hope to guide us in these dark and trying times. Signing off."

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!" Batgirl demanded the crook hanging off the gargoyle
"I told ya, I DON'T KNOW NOTHIN' BITCH!" he shouted at her.
"LIES! I know you work for the Phantom Thieves. Surveillance footage placed you at the scene. I know your clammy hands anywhere Jake!" Batgirl shouted back.
"H-how do you know 'bout that?! Skull said they had a guy wipe all the footage!" Jake yelled, before realizing what he said. Batgirl smirked.
"I have eyes so small no one can see them. Everywhere in every nook and cranny. You can't hack what you can't see. And sadly...I saw you." Batgirl smirked.
"Fuck, FUCK" Jack cursed.
"Now, what were you saying about this Skull?" Batgirl asked.
"Listen I ain't no rat! Especially to a sidekick!" Jack yelled.
"Fine then see you next fall." Batgirl said.
"Wha? Wait! NO NO NO- AAAAAAHHHH!" Jake screamed in terror as Batgirl cut the rope he was hanging from. Batgirl jumped after him to save him.
Dick would be so proud of me for that joke! I can be funny sometimes too!" She thought as she grabbed the man and grappled to another building. She slammed him down and stomped on his stomach.
"Now, where were we?" Batgirl asked in a fake sweet tone.
"*vomits* You're crazy! YOUR WHOLE CLAN IS FUCKIN' PSYCHO!" Jake screamed.
"And yet, no matter how many times you guys fall from high rises you never learn. Now, SPILL!" Batgirl twisted her foot into Jake's torso.
"ARRGG! OK! Ok...I'll tell you what I know." Jake said dejected.
"Come to your senses have you? What are their names?, First and last please." Batgirl said pleased.
"Shit if I know." Jake scoffed.
"You want to get thrown off another building?" Batgirl scowled.
"W-WAIT. FOR REAL LADY! I never even saw em' without the masks on. Let alone their names!" Jake cried out.
Batgirl studied his body language to verify.
Shit...he's telling the truth. Guess I have to make due.
"*sigh* Fine. Who got in contact with you then?" Batgirl asked.
"Aw come on. Whatever happened to honor among thieves?" Jake sweated.
Batgirl responded by breaking his wrist, he cried out in pain.
"Let that be a warning. Who got in contact with you?" Batgirl asked, getting impatient.
"White Rabbit. IT WAS WHITE RABBIT!" Jake screamed out in pain.
Batgirl let go of his wrist; he held it, seething in pain.
"Go on." Batgirl quirked an eyebrow.
"You know her, the whole town knows her. She comes, hips swinging up to ya, you know it's gonna be good dough. How could I say no to that amount of cash?" Jake sighed.
"I could think of a few. White Rabbit's in bed with the Phantom's, eh? How'd that happen?" Batgirl asked.
"I don't know. I swear I don't know. Listen when that much cash is in front of you, ya don't ask questions, ya just do as you're told. She came up to me and some boys in one of the hundreds of shady bars in town. I never felt so lucky, it's been tough these last few months, hell years." Jake admitted.
Batgirl empathized with his plight, one of Bruce's first lessons is to try and get into a crook's mindset. 99% of people in Gotham were either drug addicts, impoverished, or flat out broke.
That wasn't an overestimation either, she was being generous.
"Hey *snap* listen to me. I get it, you're starving. We all are. But you're also addicted to steroids Jake, you need to get help. Go to rehab." Batgirl tried.
"Yeah right, as if anyone could afford that shit. Even the free shit I don't trust, I'd probably wind up insane as Joker or as ugly as Croc. There's no way out, no way better than this. I'd rather die than work for that bitch Wayne. Who does he think he is sittin' all high and mighty up in his tower? He wants to help us, he says, we need to fix Gotham he says. You ask me...if his parents didn't die, he'd be just as bad as the rest of them. Worse even! I hate how he pretends to be on our level! As if one day can amount to the hell I've endured everyday of Gotham's streets. I hope the Phantom Thieves are for real about this heart shit. Wayne needs to be taught a lesson." Jack gritted out.
"That's enough out of you for now. Good night." Batgirl knocked him unconscious. She should have done it sooner on account of him bad mouthing her sensi. But...just because it hurts doesn't mean it's not true. She loved Bruce with all of her heart. But sometimes she fears he gets lost in his own righteousness. That there is more that can be done for these people.
Ever since she found out Metal Rid- Queen was part of the Phantom Thieves she has been thrown in a loop. Such a passionate stance for justice, such a resolve to fight for it. If a girl like that is one their team, there must be some truth to their message. At least before the god Bruce faced got a hold of them.
She sighed, what a tricky situation this is. If White Rabbit is indeed involved with them… They must truly be willing to get their hands a little dirty to win the fight. Even without the whole hostage aspect, they need to be brought in, if they are getting involved with the criminal element of Gotham, it only leads to two things.
More corruption within their beliefs, or death.
She had to put a stop to this before either happened. So her hopes of another ally in this world of utter war is not lost.

"Batgirl to Batman. Come in." Batgirl said.
"What is it? You find something?" Batman asked.
"Well not names, it's never that easy is it?" Batgirl sighed.
"A lead then." Batman continued.
"Yes, apparently the Phantom Thieves are in bed with White Rabbit." Batgirl said.
"White Rabbit. I knew Jaina was up to something new. She never stays out of the game this long. It bores her." Batman gritted.
"What do you want to do, Sensei?" Batgirl asked.
"It'll be tough but try to find her, a master escape artist that loves to be chased is a bad combination. Be careful or she might lead you into a trap." Batman said.
"At this point a trap would be the best lead we could get. They are very thorough. I was lucky to recognize Jack here through his big mask last night."
"Any leads you find would be very appreciated. I hate how much of a curveball they're entire existence is." Batman gritted.
"Perhaps we're going at this the wrong way, Sensei. Maybe it's time to bring in someone with expertise in another field." Batgirl said.
"What do you have in mind?" Batman asked.
"Have you heard back from Cyborg on dimensional travel?" Batgirl asked.
"You wish to focus on how they got here instead of how their powers work? Interesting, I should have thought of it." Batman said, frustrated.
"It was a long night yesterday Sensei, no need to beat yourself up." Batgirl comforted.
"Cyborg came in, did you find what I asked for?" Batman asked.
"What was it again? Sorry Bats it's been hectic up here." Cyborg responded.
"Have any dimensional readings shown up in Gotham during the last few months?" Batman asked.
"Let me see….No sorry, I'm not getting any readings." Cyborg apologized.
"Dammit, I know there's something to this. I feel like it's right in front of me." Batman clenched his eyes shut with his hand, trying to think.
"...there is a possibility of an error, or perhaps it's not alien technology at all." Cyborg said.
"What do you mean Victor?" Batgirl asked.
"Have you considered magic as a possibility?" Cyborg asked.
"That's it. That's what we've been missing. Thank you Victor, you've been a great help." Batman said.
"No prob man, I gotta go though later!" Cyborg hung up.
"We've been thinking about this all wrong Cass. I assumed they were all meta users born out of Project Cadmus or N.O.W.H.E.R.E., it might be the opposite. They're magic users." Batman smirked.
"You think?" Batgirl asked, unsure.
"Think about it, Queen's move that slows us doesn't make any sense from a power standpoint. It must be a spell she casts. This also answers how they've been changing hearts. It must also be a spell on a massive scale. It make's to much sense, they were literally brought here by a god that can take over them at any time. How foolish of me to think this stopped at the meta level. We're dealing with a sorcerer with a power we've never seen." Batman said.
"So what do we do Sensei? I've fought magic users before, but know nothing on how to track them." Batgirl said.
"We're going to have to bring another perspective on this. Someone with immense knowledge in detective work and magic." Batman typed on his computer.
"Who-no...No sensei not him, there's got to be someone better. Ask the Question for all I care just not him!" Batgirl begged.
"I know how you feel about him, but we have no choice. I have to call in Constantine." Batman said.
"We're so fucked." Batgirl said in despair.

AN: Hey gang. Hope you like this chapter, I've been reading up and researching DC comics these past two days. And boy am I glad I did. So much planning done but I've finally worked out how to go about this story. A war is coming, a Bat-mite is popping popcorn and sitting back to watch the show. I hope you liked the palace and introduction to Black Mask.
Even if Sumire didn't blow a fuse they still had to make some deal with Sionis in order to go higher. Plus I got to write my trash ship with Akechi and Jaina. Why do I do this to myself? Is it to feel the imitation of love? A little but, their chemistry is so evil and pure at the same time. They could rule the world if they wanted.
Vale's rant went way longer than expected, but laying down straight facts. Sprinkle in some Selina PTSD for flavor.
Also I honestly didn't plan to have a Batgirl scene in this chapter. It seems my random space outs into the abyss turn into the best part of the fic. I also didn't plan to have Batman recruit Constantine until a later chapter. But the world's greatest detective needed to earn his namesake. The Thieves have been serving him the past 24 hours, time to even the playing field.
As always stay tuned I love you all. I have a little fun bonus below if you're interested. It's not part of the story or anything but I had a lot of fun writing it. Next Chapter will have deeper musings of Black Mask along with Ryuji's suffering! yaaaay!
Enjoy!

Bat-mite verse 1
YO! Who decided that I'd be fightin' such a weak ass bitch.
I'll serve a verse, lay a curse and drop bars harder than I slit your neck.
Half the fans like ya half of em' hate. Why don't ya cry in the corner before I finish my take.
I'm the main big player. Only shown a tip of the burg.
The Phantom slayer. You defeating me?! Absurd!
The fifth dimensional god. Here to slash out some hate!
Why don't ya drag your virgin ass out of here and masterbate!"
Mishima
(slow down)
All the things you have said are indeed true.
But I rather be annoying than get the death threats that are sent to you.
I guess I got to stand up against you in the Phantom's stead
MC Mishima about to serve this mite DEAD!
(back to tempo)
I've seen your little camoes and I'm not impressed.
A little runt suckin' up tryin' to pretend he's not inbred
You're lucky you killed me, cause you are not that thrilling.
WOW! Now that cosplay of yours. Now that's real chilling!
No persona, no powers, but I'll serve some mighty lead!
Why don't ya lay down before I smash those buckteeth up ya head?
Batmite:
Fuck you runt! Trying to give me the punt.
Everyone in Gotham would eat you for lunch
Your confidant sucks. All whine and grovel.
You ask me. The thieves should have left ya to your hovel.
Take Akira down to ya shadow level. Give you a talkdown!
Abused by a king, neglect from parents. Yet ya manage to bog the story like ya do ya novel!
Is the best a moon arcana can be?
I'll rip your spine out and present it for all your "friends" can see.
Your existence useless, your rap is toothless. Joker makes a far better clown.
Compared to the blue haired blunder.
Akira's bitch down under.
WHAT A FUCKING LETDOWN!
A desperate act of a one tryin' to pretend to be a ten.
Answer this. Why can't Futaba do your job again?
In terms of use ya only have one, see?
I ONLY DID YA CONFIDANT FOR THE EXTRA E.X.P!
Mishima 2nd verse:
You serve no purpose. You come from the Adam West era.
How can a comic relief ever hope to beat Akira?
You take a back seat because the writers don't know what to do with you.
You, a member of the Bat-family? YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A LOONEY TUNE!
In terms of vigrinity, who the fuck whould have ya, you wack pimp?
WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD FUCK A TWO FOOT IMP?!
I might have issues, but your actions make me hurl.
I'M THE NUMBER ONE PHAN-BOY! PHANTOM THIEVES TAKE THE WORLD!
Batmite:
"SILENCE MORTAL BEFORE I GET REAL!
I'LL TAKE YOU DOWN HARDER THAN I DID SATANAEL!
