AN: Bruh...I hope this is done sooner than the last chapter. Seriously...the planning of that was harder than expected. I'm glad it turned out good at least. This chapter too will focus on mostly the other side of things rather than the PTs. We have a lot to cover friends, hope you enjoy.

FEEDBACK:

TheEdgelordMcgee: I just read through my PMs, sorry to take so long to respond. Usually I only get spam but thank you for your words friend. I would love to see this story picked up somehow too.

Calderoneric758: Merlin huh? Could work for something I'm planning. Thanks for the suggestion.

X King 014: I can't wait to get to Batman's palace honestly. But the PTs have no chance against his will right now. And I really want to save the best mirror for last.

Bananarock509: Wouldn't be fun without procrastination am I right?

Guest: That's what I was thinking too. Trigon, while very powerful, wouldn't hold a candle to Yaldabaoth. To answer your question...very very very badly, like the return of Darkseid badly.

WARNING: Y'all know the drill by now. I'm not going soft anytime soon. Graphic violence, gore, mention/act of rape, sexual situation/ straight up lemons, mention/use of drugs, character death, and Bat-mite. The Dark Knight deserves a dark story. Please avert your eyes from the following if you are sensitive to any of the above.

I don't own Batman, Justice League, Persona, or Nekopara

Enjoy~

May 14th, Early Morning

Cloudy

Chinatown, Raven's temporary apartment.

The empath took a calming breath as she started to float beginning to repeat her mediation mantra. The curtains were drawn to block out the sun, candles and incense were burning in order to create a calming atmosphere. The demon inside her was always hard to quell, especially when she didn't keep her emotions in check.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos…" Raven repeated over and over. It was very helpful to have more privacy for her meditation. The Titan Tower was always so cramped, and Beast Boy never left her alone...until Terra came back that is. She shook the thoughts out as she tried to focus, denying any emotion she might have over the two. She had finally reached peak zen when…

"RRRrrrrr….." A dark, deep and angry sound drowned the room, the purple hues flickering red, Raven tried to conquer it...focusing her mind at the task at hand thinking it was her inner demon again. She calmed herself and returned to her form.

"Rrrrrrraaaaaaavvvvv…..eeennnn" A voice beckoned her. The red overtaking the room, the candle light becoming more furious. The inner demon was being drawn out...being called...no she wouldn't fall for the call, she tried to ignore it. She focused all efforts on staying calm and shielding her mind from the call, her other two eyes trying to pop out in forming her demon self.

"No...I won't let you control me...Never…" Raven hissed.

"RAAAAVVVVEEENNN!"

(Cultist Base OT -Doom Eternal ST/Mick Gordon)

The red aura overtook the room, the candle lights becoming volcanoes as a pentagram formed on the carpet, staining it in blood, a portal opened sucking in everything in the room forcefully. Raven tried in vain to fly away but was sucked in from the great force.

With her inside the portal closed, leaving no one to answer the knocking door.

"Yo, Rae, open up! We're gonna be late for school!" Garfield knocked the door loudly.

NANANANNANANANANANNANANANANANANANANANANAANANANA

The images of hell flashed in her mind, terrifying her, the visions of blood, gore, and chaos that filled the portal made her clench her ears shut as they wormed their way into her mind.

"AHHHHHHH!" The four eyes of her demon opened furiously, obeying the call and walked out of the portal, bowing deeply and looking down. Tears of desperation streamed down her face as she tried to fight the call to serve, the call to fight, the call to obey.

"My rebellious daughter, how good it feels to see you in such a state." Trigon laughed as he limped on the splintered peg-leg in pain. The wood stabbing into his flesh, reminding him of his submission.

"Father...I will never…*groans*...do your bidding...Never….NEVER!" Raven clenched her head fighting the spells, the anger of her father's appearance overtaking her and giving her the ability to fight the call. The demon form calmed to her regular state, eyes glowing purple instead of red as she furiously glared down her abusive father. Not caring at all of his wounds.

"*Chuckles* You are a fool to think that girl. Look upon me...What monster mutilated me so?" Trigon cackled darkly, finding sick joy in finally seeing his daughter pause and think.

"You...were...No…" Raven trembled at the implications.

"I was dethroned. The battle was great and fierce! The ancient god of old has returned. Mileena passed and he chose out of nowhere to reclaim the throne. The great Satanael has called upon me to summon you." Trigon laughed wickedly.

"Satan….Satanael? The one from all the fables...the ultimate Demon Lord….No…" Raven said, shocked as hier father laughed hysterically.

"He calls you a traitor girl...one that must be dealt with, I will enjoy every moment of your suffering daughter." Trigon laughed.

The summoning room doors were opened, a gigantic figure walked in, looking stern and foreboding, sending fear right into Raven's soul, the demon in her cried to bow in submission, to aid in whatever he needed. She would fight it to the death.

"M..My Lord…*ahem* Your Majesty, my rebellious daughter as requested. I was just about to take her to your chambers." Trigon stood at attention, the crazed look in his eyes shining.

"Have the guards do it. I don't trust you to hold your fury, boy. Ready the forces while I deal with her." Satanael boomed.

"B...But sire...I wanted to see what you would do to her…" Trigon begged, bowing deeply. Satanael slammed Trigon against the wall, hand choking his throat.

" I will not indulge your fantasies, boy. I ought to sever another limb for such insolence." Satanael growled.

"*chokes* Y-yes...Yes my lord...A million apologies. I will ready the troops in whatever you need." Trigon struggled.

"Get out of my sight, boy." Satanael threw him through the wall and down the great mountain of hell as punishment.

Raven gasped, to think she would ever see her father in such a light. It must be true, this must be the first Demon Lord. The one casted down from above milenna ago, his strength infinite, his word absolute.

"Send her to my chambers. I will be there shortly. I need a word...alone." Satanael walked away, his steps sending booms in his wake. The guards grabbed her violently, she struggled as she was dragged to the chambers. She was handcuffed and chained for her rebellion.

"Shut up bitch. You are lucky the Demon Lord demanded no harm came to you." A guard said.

"*chuckles* Said he wanted to punish the traitor himself. I bet he's also looking for a slave to bear children." The other wickedly laughed.

"Shh...Don't say such things in front of her. I don't want her whore mouth speaking of such things in front of him"

"I suppose it doesn't matter. The Demon Lord must have a plan in mind. He must have spent his disappearance to strategize a great war on the world above."

"I for one can't wait to fight it. The idea of all those mortals screaming gives me wicked joy in this cold heart."

"We're here. Enjoy your punishment traitor. I shudder to imagine what he will do to you."

The two threw her in the room and slammed the door locking it behind them, leaving Raven to struggle to break the chains. They only tightened more and more, draining her power as they were made to do so. She broke down in tears as she realized her situation. Even if she broke her bonds and escaped, where would she go? What could she do? She barely managed to defeat her father with her friends. She would have to abandon them in order to keep the lord off her trail. Never again to have a true family, never again to feel safe.

She went into a sobbing fit, emotion walls broken from desperation, this was more than her worst fear. She always thought the worst case scenario was her father finally being able to make her yield, to finally get control over her and use her as a portal to his armies and kill all of humanity. No..now an even more powerful being has taken the throne and no one up top is any the wiser about it.

The doors opened revealing the giant being, she steeled herself, trying not to crumble in terror. Her mumblings of her mantra did nothing to calm her.

"Calm yourself child. We have much to discuss." Satanael said, shutting the door.

"W….w-what are you going to do to me? Don't think you can control me! Father has tried multiple times and failed." Raven hissed as she began to struggle again.

"Such a rebellious spirit. Such raw power, yet you hold it back. Constantly struggling between your two halves. I can see why the boy fears you so, if you were to master your raw power...you could easily defeat him." Satanaeal walked up, as Raven scooted away from the giant, tears coming down her face,

"I will never do your bidding, NEVER!" Raven yelled.

"Such fire, such hurt, you are so similar to my ward." Sataneal took a knee and reached out to the cornered girl, who was shivering at the implication.

He said a spell and the chains and locks dissolved, confusing her but she was still on guard.

"What is this?! So confident in your mind games you seek a challenge?" Raven glared as she built up power.

"*Chuckles* I am not your father, child. I do not seek to force you into a life of servitude, not when I detest such acts. Your father was a mad dog. Barking hysterically without any real plan in mind, only seeking destruction and leaning on his demon powers too much." Sataneal said.

"Don't lie to me. The ancient Demon Lord would never hesitate in doing such acts." Raven said stubbornly.

"Living millenia teaches these old bones a few things, like what truly matters, what true leadership is. Humanity must live if we are to survive, the demons of hell let hate fill their heart to such a degree they will never see the real picture. But you...you have seen it first hand haven't you? How strong and true bonds strengthen the will of a fighter, the will of rebellion." Satanael said.

"You..don't want to destroy humanity?" Raven asked.

"No...I need to save it. Become what I used to be before I fell into the pits of hell. There are all powerful beings out there that seek to destroy the very fabric of reality girl, one has been killed by me, another submitted from honorable battle, the other...is willing to kill anyone, be it it mortal or immortal to get its way, I've seen it first hand. Do you know who I speak of?" Sataneal asked.

"This can't be...you are supposed to be the ultimate evil." Raven said.

"Sometimes, when those who claim they are angels rule the sky. A devil must rise up and put them in their place. You didn't answer my question, girl, I speak of the one who you are tasked to defeat, the one who possessed the great Sorcerer, the one who killed the Zatara name. " Sataneal said.

"The..the Phantom Thieves?" Raven asked, shocked.

"The one forcing the Phantom Thieves hand. He must be stopped at all cost. Petty squabbles of morality be damned. They never got me anywhere." Sataneal said.

"I am already tasked with stopping him. We must stop the Thieves first if we are to-" Raven said firmly, before being interrupted.

"No. Defeating them solves nothing, all it does is entertain him, he roots for the Dark Knight's victory, he aims desperately for it. To truly anger him...to truly get under the demon's skin...we must defeat the Knight." Sataneal said.

"I...No. There is no way I'm betraying him. He gave me a better life, a reason to live, a way to do good." Raven said.

"I will not force you. I just need you to know both sides, when I attack it will not be for ending humanity, rather to save it. Think about it, my child. We can make a deal to benefit us both. I ask you not to betray, but to aid in the pursuit of true righteousness. You are now free to do what you wish for eternity, as long as I live Trigon will not get his hands on you or your friends. If you help me I will aid in your training, make you the powerful mage you are supposed to be, I'll make it so you can control your emotions properly and live life to its fullest. I beg you to consider, I beg you to not run away from the truth." Sataneal bowed deeply, before casting a portal behind her. She didn't know what to say, this went nothing like how she thought it would.

"I...I…" Raven stumbled.

"Do not feel forced to keep it to yourself child. Tell your allies my message. That the great Trion is no longer king. That discussion is more open, that I am a much different leader than the former one. Go now, return to your realm." Satanael got up and walked away leaving Raven to look back at the portal.

Can he be trusted? This portal might be a trap...no...no...that would make no sense. They had me, trapped me efficiently, Sataneal must not need me as a portal at all. Gods above, he could attack the earth at any moment,...yet he didn't...and instead opened up for diplomacy, instead of outright invasion.

This was a show of truth, a show of confidence, she stepped through the portal to indeed find herself back in her apartment. The place is a wreck, but back in it's normal purple hue.

"RAE YOU'RE OK!" Garfield tackled herein a hug when he saw her appear. Tim, Sandy, and Cassandra were also there looking relieved.

"Raven what happened? Beast Boy here went to check on you to find you missing. We thought you were captured somehow." Tim said.

"I...I was...uh Beast Boy you can let go of me now." Raven blushed.

"Hmm? Oh! Sorry." Beast Boy backed up immediately, worried he might get blasted again for getting too close.

"It was Trigon wasn't it? How did he manage to get to you without proper portals? SANDMAN PROMISED TO KEEP HIM IN CHECK!" Sandy cried out, her face filled with worry.

"F...father...Trigon...was dethroned. A much more powerful being has taken the throne from him. Alert the League immediately." Raven said.

"What?! Who?" Cassandra asked.

"The first Demon Lord has returned from his millennia rest. The one called Satanael has claimed what was once his throne again. I must deliver his message at once! The fact he didn't outright kill me like Trigon would is telling of his confidence and power!" Raven said to them.

"Dick...we have a situation!" Tim called his elder Robin.

"Has Raven not been found?" Dick asked.

"We found her. But...we have a Priority S message. Call Batman, call all of the Leaguers available! Trigon has been defeated by a new, more powerful force! Raven said to give them a message!" Tim said.

"...aw fuck…" Dick said, shocked.

Cafe Leblanc

Akira and Haru were helping Sojiro prep for the day. Haru took the time to tell Akira about the murder in her quadrant. The news has taken to calling the killer "Clayface".

"Interesting. I guess Akechi can look into it during his spare time. The few things truthful about him is his ability to solve such cases." Akira said.

"Yes, I suppose that is true. But wouldn't draw attention to us if he is seen?" Haru asked.

"I trust he'll find a way to be discrete." Akira said.

Ann walked in the cafe, hesitant and concerned.

"Morning." Sojiro said.

"Hey guys...I need to ask a favor." Ann said.

"Hm? What is it Lady Ann?" Mona hopped on the counter.

"Mona...could you...find Selina for me? I want to talk to her." Ann said.

"Wouldn't that be dangerous? She did betray us after all." Haru said.

"It's just...I've been talking with a friend I made at the agency. She said what Selina did sounded like a cry for help." Ann said.

"You compromised us?!" Futaba looked up from her computer.

"Wha? NO NO NO! I didn't say anything about our group. I made sure I was vague and all that. I just needed to vent my concerns to a new perspective." Ann said.

"Well...I'd be happy to help you Lady Ann! What kind of gentlemen would I be if I didn't help a damsel in need?" Mona grinned.

"We were going to look into it anyway. It's been biting me too...it came out of nowhere." Akira said.

"I know...but I feel the need to do it personally...I feel like I angered her somehow, even though I don't know how…" Ann sighed.

"Leave it to me! I'm sure the strays of Gotham will stand no chance against my charms!" Mona said smugly.

"Finally swinging for your own Mona? I'm impressed." Sojiro siad

"Wha? NO!" Mona hissed.

"I think it would be good for you." Haru said.

"HARU!" Mona said shocked.

"Hey hey...We all know Mona's type. I'm surprised he hasn't flirted with Selina at all. He can't resist girls in cat costumes." Akira smirked.

"Oh FUCK YOU! I'll have you know that I have indeed made moves on Selina!" Mona said defensively.

"How did that go?" Futaba asked.

"She threw me some tuna in return...Wait...she can't understand me...oh...oh man..." Mona said dejected.

"Aw~ poor Mona-chan~ it hurts me to see you much" Haru scooped him up and petted him.

" What is it about me that makes girls run away Haru? I try so hard…" Mona groaned.

"This is why you should try a nice feline. I'm sure one would love to have you." Haru petted him, soothing the downtrodden cat.

"You don't get it. Normal cats are much less...smart...more...feral. I just want a girl I can have a nice dinner with. Not one that just wants me for kits." Mona groaned as he hoped off her grasp.

"I'll find Selina and lead her to you Lady Ann. I...need some time alone to think anyway." Mona left the cafe, a bit depressed.

"Aw...no I feel bad." Futaba said.

"I...never thought of that..t. He really is alone." Ann said heart-broken.

"We...should do something for him. Show our love and support. You know….before he feels unwanted agan." Haru said to Akira.

"Yeah...of course." Akira nodded.

The door opened, showing Azuki in a panicked state.

"THEY'RE COMING!" Azuki said.

"Hm? What are you on about?" Sojiro asked.

"My sisters! Just like I thought they had the wrong idea...Akira...prepare yourself!" Azuki yelled.

"Oh god…" Akira groaned.

The door was kicked open in a rage by Maple storming in with Cinnamon pulling her back.

" I KNEW IT!" Maple hissed.

"May-chan~ Calm down! We should respect their relationship…" Cinnamon begged.

"Why didn't you tell me Azuki?! You promised you wouldn't keep secrets from us!" Maple said somber.

"YOU IDIOTS AND YOUR ASSUMPTIONS! IT WAS JUST A FUCKING HUG!" Azuki raged.

"Don't deny your love Azuki~" Cinnamon blushed.

"It's been like this ever since last night. The kids are even worse." Azuki slammed her head on the counter.

Just then, three other catgirls busted in the door. All sniffed the air leading them to Akira.

"Ah ha! Chocola has found her new master~" The brown haired, amber eyed girl was quick to tackle Akira over the counter and nuzzle him tightly. Akira struggled against her. The other white haired, and blue eyed girl did the same.

"Target acquired. You better not betray our love." The girl said as if it were the normal thing to say.

"Chocola! Vanilla! GET OFF HIM!" Azuki pulled the two off of Akira as his head spun.

"Nya~ Don't hog Master all to yourself~!" Vanilla pouted.

"He isn't your master! HOW MANY TIMES I GOTTA SAY IT!" Azuki yelled, pulling on their ears, making them wince in pain.

Coconut stood back, afraid to approach the boy. Her heterochromic eyes downcast as she fiddled her dress.

"Coconut are you alright?" Maple asked.

"I'm...fine...Oni-chan is probably too cool to greet me." Coconut said.

"Oh god...He isn't your brother." Azuki groaned.

"Always the lady killer huh Akira?" Ann asked, teasingly.

"Just met him and they're already inseparable. Proud of you son." Sojiro smirked.

"Jeez...Akira wasn't kidding around when he told us about Coconut. Straight outta RPG we should call her." Futaba said, adjusting her glasses.

"Ah~ I'm nothing special. Stop looking at me like that!" Coconuts hid her face behind her hands.

"Hey...don't be like that. A beautiful girl like yourself should have more confidence." Ann said, taking her hands.

A good hour passed before Akira could calm the girls and back up Azuki. The girls seemed...upset at first but eventually understood. The whole thing left Azuki tired, and with a massive migraine.

"Ah~ I see...so the wedding is off then?" Cinnamon asked.

"UGHH!" Azuki slammed her head against the counter again.

"Listen. It was just a hug. Promise. So will you stop all this master business? Or if you can't at least call Sojiro one instead?" Akira jokes.

"Leave me out of this." Sojiro huffed.

"Oh….so I don't have an Oni-chan? That's...fine...totally fine…" Coconut said sadly.

"*sigh* You girls are too much. If I agree to that, will you guys lay off your sister?" Akira asked.

"No! Not enough! I must learn more about you. Find more about this boy Azuki told all our secrets to." Vanilla said sternly.

"Chocola says the same! Must know more! More~" Chocola grabbed Akira's arm tightly.

"What? What are you girls on about?" Maple asked.

"The...three of us have been talking. We feel so bad about our three older sisters pulling all the weight. We want to help you make ends meet." Coconut said softly.

"Ya want to work here?! NO FUCKING WAY!" Azuki raged.

"It is the only way to make sure he's on the level. So Azuki doesn't fall under his spell again." Vanilla said blankly.

"Plus he's cute!" Chocola said.

"That too." Vanilla said, smirking.

"Oh my god...Akira...please say no." Azuki begged.

"Azuki...even with the three of us...Things are tight." Maple siad.

"If that's the case...sure?" Akira said.

"YAAY!" Chocola hugged him even tighter.

"Thank you. You won't regret this. I promise." Coconut said tears of happiness appearing in the corner of her eyes.

"Oh god...no turning back now Akira. You better treat my little sisters right. All of you better." Azuki said.

"I doubt it will be that hard." Akira said.

"Chocola has a master after all~" Chocola chirped.

Akira sweated at that. He wondered if this whole master thing had to do with their conditioning. The whole thing sent shivers down his spine.

May 14th, Early Morning

Watchtower

Diana tiredly walked to her room on the Watchtower. It has been a long day of diplomacy and hardship between countries over certain resources. Being a diplomat of her home land and a super hero most fights looked to her as a mediation for keeping tensions to a minimum. She flopped on her bed as sleep claimed her immediately. Her soft snores filled the room.

"Diana…" A voice called in her dreams. She shuffled in her bed, her dream state coming to existence.

"That's it Diana...come to me…" the voice said gently.

Diana snapped her eyes open to find herself in a giant Greek temple. Her sister Donna besides her bowing deeply.

"Sister? What is the meaning of this?" Diana asked.

"Bow Diana...we are in the presence of our gods." Donna said simply.

Diana looked up to see her god Athena, along with another that looked strikingly like the goddess. She too bowed immediately.

"A million apologies, great Athena. You caught me in the pits of slumber." Diana said, embarrassed.

"It is of no consequence my child. I too must apologize, for interrupting your much needed slumber. However this is a very important meeting." Athena said.

"What is it, my grace? You never are one to call upon us like this." Donna asked.

"My associate. My mirror...has brought to light an evil that can't be ignored. One so great he makes Ares pale in comparison and become prisoner to his hold." Athena said gravely.

"Who? Who is this great evil?" Diana asked.

"Merely uttering his name would bring about death. I have seen it first hand but brushed it off like a fool. The death of the great Zatanna was merely a warning, a show of power." Athena said angered by her own statement.

"Zatanna...the one who possessed Constantine…" Diana said sadly, as Donna listened in learning all of this in the moment.

"A great evil wishes for chaos and death to spread the world. You two must aid in his defeat. The rest of the Amazons have already gathered their troops." Athena explained.

"Hippolyta has agreed to aid in Man's world? After millennia of hate?" Doona asked.

"Yes. Her hate runs strong. But her loyalty to me runs stronger. You two must aid them in helping a group in Gotham. The Phantom Thieves are our only hope of winning this war." Athena said.

"THE PHANTOM THIEVES?! They are terrorists with no experience! A group with a cause, while noble, is not the right way to go about justice!" Diana yelled, defiant.

"Diana...Look at my associate here. Look upon her similarities. She is of their world, a world that was shackled by a god in an unwinnable game. A god of control that killed and hypnotized the masses into a false state of security. If not for the thieves' intervention, that world would surely have perished into a state of ruin." Athena said calmly, knowing Diana would be hard to convince.

"So it's true what their leader said. A group of children able to kill a god…" Diana said.

" Surely they are owed more understanding at least. Look into your heart Diana. Why is it you view their cause as unjustified?" Athena asked.

"I...Like I said it is noble how they fight. But to force change onto the minds of others is not righteous. How are they any better from the god you claim they defeated? True reform takes time, a long and hard battle done in diplomacy and tact. The thieves' spells can not hold a truly just society, when all minds are forced to change I fear they would take control much like dictators. Laughing at our submission. Much like we have to watch over ourselves as heroes and gods ruling over the world, they too must be kept in check." Diana concluded.

"Hmmm… a valid point. Why do you think you were called upon, child?" Athena chuckled at her champion.

"Hmm?" Diana asked, confused.

"Diana…Donna you both have power over mortals in the face of righteousness. Both of you force out the truth with the magic within you. With that and the lasso of truth surely the two of you can find whether or not these thieves speak of what they claim."

"I...I...see. I understand perfectly. You wish to prove to me they are just. I should have known you would not force me to believe in their cause. I will see it through as much as can...but the League needs me where I am. I can't abandon my post." Diana said.

"Which is why Donna is here as well. An in between, you might say. She will act as their judge of character. Do you agree to these terms Donna?" Athena asked.

"I am honored to be tasked to see your will." Donna bowed.

"So be it. Donna Troy, the former Wonder Girl will seek the truth in the Phantom Thieves dealings. One thing must be made perfectly clear...do not alert the Dark Knight whatsoever."

"You ask her to betray the League?!" Diana asked shocked.

"Not betray. Just not help a certain member. If Batman finds out any of this, more people will surely be slaughtered, like the great Zatanna. I ask this only for the safety of others, do not let Batman catch wind of this." Athena warned.

"I...I will do my duty." Donna said.

"Donna...there is clearly a great battle ahead of us. I...Don't want to lie to Bruce not after everything we've been through together, but it seems circumstances are out of our control. Take the lasso...A symbol of truth and justice...you will need it more than I in your quest to toe the line of sides." Diana gave the lasso of truth to Donna who accepted it gratefully.

"It must be done. I know little about these Thieves, but your doubt is proof enough in my eyes, if they hide skeletons in their closet I will expose them to the League. And then, deliver them to justice myself." Donna said.

The two sisters hugged before Donna flew away to fulfill her task.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

The sound came out of nowhere as Diana looked around to find the sound, the edges of the dreamscape made themselves known.

"Our time runs short. Go forth Diana in the search for justice. As lines are drawn and sides decided, you will be the mediator. Remember...as much as an obstacle it may be...do not alert the Dark Knight of what transpired here. Or feel the wrath of power even I or even Zeus himself can not stop. It is clear the one called "Constantine" was a message. A message to not help the Knight, less the ones you love most die." Athena said as the dream collapsed.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Diana gasped awake as her door was pounded harshly. She gathered herself as she opened her door. It was Wally...he seemed...pale.

"Diana...there's an emergency meeting happening and all the founders must attend. Priority so they said, they sent me after you didn't answer your comm.." Wally said.

"Is it Darkseid? Has he returned again?" Diana asked.

"I don't know...no one knows…" Wally said, worried.

"I'll be right there." Diana said. Wally nodded as he dashed away. Diana got her hero costume on, and gathered her weapons. She started to panic slightly when she couldn't find her lasso, when she remembered…

Gods...It was a true calling. Sister...be safe out there. Diana scrunched her eyebrows together in worry as she rushed to the meeting hall.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

The room was filled with all the most powerful and respected members of the Justice League, Diana got to her seat just as Clark entered. She noticed how many were holograms rather than actual appearances, even an Priority S call wasn't enough to truly call everyone out of whatever their current duties were. Diana couldn't recall the last time that was the case.

"Morning, everyone. Thank you for joining us." Superman said sitting down at the head of the table, Wonder Woman to his left and the hologram of Batman to his right.

"What is this about Superman?" Hawkgirl asked.

"Even I do not know yet. Batman was the one to make the call." Superman said.

"So the Joker has finally struck. Sorry the "Clown" Joker." Flash said.

"Batman?" Superman asked his friend to start.

Batman simply typed in his keyboard as he started his report.

"As you know the Titans are currently helping me in an undercover mission regarding a newer group called "The Phantom Thieves". This is not that but rather a message a member of the Titans was given. Raven." Batman pulled Raven's hologram on top of the great table, she looked hesitant and afraid.

"Trigon….Trigon has been dethroned." Raven said simply.

A chorus of shocked murmurs, and questions ran throughout the room. Trigon was always rather hard to defeat with five members. The statement he was dethroned was shocking.

"Quiet. Continue." Batman demanded.

"Yes. Just who managed to dethrone Trigon? Do you have a name?" Superman asked.

"As...all of you know my father is not the first demon lord. Not even the second. The fables of milenna past have been true. The first Demon Lord, Satanael has reclaimed the throne. His power was enormous, his true motives for returning...unknown." Raven said.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Dr. Fate slammed a fist on the table in rage. The room looked in shock at the sorcerer.

"Something to share Fate?" Batman pressed.

Dr. Fate gritted his teeth underneath the golden mask.

"He is under my watch right this second, on the outskirts of the observable universe. Jaded and unmoving." Dr. Fate said, sure of himself.

"I saw it with my own eyes. Felt his power...seen what he has done with my father. Two fresh wounds where a leg and arm once was. His submission is a testament to his power." Raven said.

"This can not be the case girl. Every little detail, nothing left out." Dr. Fate demanded.

The next few minutes were spent with Raven telling all that happened. The offer, the open door for diplomacy, everything.

"I knew what Joker said wasn't a bluff. Lavenza, while powerful, was just the tip of the iceberg. To think he has a Lucifer and Satanael in his corner. Just what deal with the devil has he made?" Batman growled.

Diana was shocked to hear this. No only did the Phantom Thieves round up all of Themyscira to their cause...but all of Hell too? She was on the verge of spilling everything when Athena's word rang through her mind. The great Demon Lord was too threatened by this new evil.

"Batman...what are you speaking of? What is the meaning of this?" Dr. Fate demanded.

"Maybe if you answered my calls you would know. I've been trying to get in contact since the beginning of the month." Batman gritted at the man.

"I have many duties a mortal like you wouldn't understand." Dr. Fate retorted.

"Enough. Batman, I've had a quick report of your circumstances in Gotham passed out. It is clear everyone hasn't gotten to reading them in their work. We all have duties to attend to after all." Superman calmed the two, making his leadership known.

Batman glared at Superman but complied, running his reports to all of the leading members.

"In short. I need a replacement for Constantine. Now." Batman said sternly.

"I'm gone a week and this much goes down?" Green lantern asked.

"You should have been there bud. Haven't seen Bats so wounded in a while. The kids pack a punch." Flash said.

"I see. Then I must apologize, Dark Knight. My wife will assist you in this matter, but I have to deal with my duties first. The Lords of Chaos much like the Rogues of Gotham never rest." Dr. Fate said.

"You must be joking. Hell has a new ruler and you won't even look into it?" Batman hissed.

"The Tower of Fate must be protected at all costs, Dark Knight. I thought you understood that. And with Zatanna dead the House of Mystery too falls into my hands. Both are of massive importance and left unguarded, the world as we know it will cease to exist." Fate glared back at Batman, but sat back in thought of his challenge.

"Still...I suppose you are correct in your goading. A new ruler...one claiming the name of the first demon lord must not be overlooked. I will pay them a call." Dr. Fate said.

"I'm going with you. All of Hell supports a group of teenagers. Clearly even I need to rethink the Phantom Thieves threat level." Batman said.

"Yeah clearly C-1 is not enough for these kids Batman. Motion to put them in at least Priority B-1. This is getting out of hand fast." Flash said.

"All in favor?" Superman asked.

It was a yes all around the table. A B priority is saying that the villain has a greater threat to heroes than some terrorist group. B and up were reserved for more notable villains that with enough luck and power could kill a League member. Batman held off the heightening of ranks believing the demon in control was the one who managed all of this. He still does, but now he admits the Phantom Thieves could in fact possibly kill Leaguers with demons on their side. No more pulling back, he had to get more information on them now.

MIRROR FOOL RANK 5/10: Priority B-1

SKILL ACQUIRED: Insomnia

CASE UPDATE: I've been too lenient. Maybe it's their age or their circumstances that made me yield. No more. I now know just a little more about the power behind them and the evidence is damning. Threat or no threat the Phantom Thieves must go down soon. Hopefully taking them out will draw out whatever higher power that holds control of them. I need to have Alfred make lists of possible suspects in that matter. I also need the Titans to get more aggressive in their search. How is it that in so little time they managed to claim to such high importance and priority? It has barely been two months since their debut in Gotham. Something isn't right about all of this. Whoever is pulling the strings needs to go down hard.

"So be it." Superman said.

"I fear for these children. They know not the power in their actions." Martian Manhunter said gravely.

"On the contrary. I believe a hundred percent they do. Age is irrelevant in these matters. The Teen Titans have proven that point multiple times over." Hawkgirl huffed.

"I suppose that is true." Manhunter sighed.

"That is all I have for now. Fate, meet me in the Grand Castle of Hell. That is where Raven said the ruler wanted to meet." Batman said.

"Lantern, Hawkgirl, go with them. We can't rule out that this might just be an elaborate trap meant to kill. Any other reports that need discussing while we are here?" Superman asked.

A long and boring meeting went by, as the League dealt with their respective cities and districts. An hour passed before it was over.

"Meeting adjourned." Superman said.

"Batman. We'll meet you at the cave to travel together to Hell. I doubt we can catch a ride with Fate." Green Lantern said.

"That will do fine. We leave by noon." Batman hung up.

"John, looks like I'll see you in hell." Flash quipped.

"*sigh*" John groaned, not humoring him as he and Hawkgirl left for Gotham.

Park Row, Abandoned Church

Maria had taken a look around the past church and frowned. The echoes of the hall spoke most gruesome stories of how the place became abandoned. The mad man that attacked it left it in a state of such disarray. She ran a soft hand on the grand organ of the church. She prayed for the lost souls that were killed in the tragedy. Alice, sadist she may be, agreed to help her watch the other church in Drescher. Maria wanted to try and fix all the damages without drawing too many eyes upon her.

"Mother..." Messiah Picaro walked up with Uriel in tow.

"My son… Look upon the blood stained walls and tell me it doesn't bring tears to your eyes." Maria softly weeped.

"Such tragedies won't happen with our protection. I have brought this world's Uriel. He will act as judgement for this world's Messiah, on whether Heaven's army will join the fight." Messiah Picaro motioned to the bowing Uriel.

"This place must be cleansed in order to be a proper safe haven. The sinners who have done this must burn as punishment." Uriel said, looking over all the blood splatter.

"For now we must call upon the Trickster to tell him the news." Messiah Picaro said as he sent out the mental call. Being bound to the Trickster and freed to walk in the real world gave them the ability to walk independently and be able to mentally speak with Joker, alerting him of any news.

Just then multiple women in ancient Greek armor stormed in through various entry ways, swords were placed tightly across all the gods throats as the Amazons made their entrance.

"Hold. Who are you? We were given clear descriptors on who to meet here. Only one matches." Antiope calmly walked through her troops to stare down the room. Only Maria was supposed to be here and it set her on edge to see such powerful gods here.

"Calm yourself soldiers. I merely didn't account for these two to be here today's meeting." Athena appeared putting a hand on Antiope's shoulder, calming her and the troops.

"The Trickster and his team are on their way. I see your pursuits have also been fruitful." Messiah said.

"Yes...I also have one more coming soon. A seeker of truth as it were for the League. Sworn to secrecy lest more people die." Athena told them.

"I am already here, my grace." Donna said with her sword pulled at the entrance.

"Donna, it's been a while." Antiope greeted politely and Donna nodded back.

"After all the wars fought on Man's World this is the one that finally made Queen Hippolyta act." Donna said in disbelief.

"When our goddess Athena class upon us you know we send no less than a hundred warriors just to survey." Antiope said.

"I see. And the fact that the leader is a man doesn't bother the more vengeful souls among us?" Donna asked.

Hisses and scowls were shown at the mention, but Antiope silenced them with a quick glare.

"They are bothered, but are obedient to the great goddess." Antiope growled, herself angry at the circumstances.

"Glad to see such a turnout." Joker said as the rest of the team appeared much like the Amazons did, out of sight so as not to draw attention from civilians it was still day time after all.

"You...You are the one?" Antiope raised a sword pointing at the boy.

"He is." Athena said.

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Joker greeted as the rest of the team went out of battle stances.

"Woah...I didn't expect this many." Panther said.

"Leave it to Joker to manage a seemingly impossible feat." Fox said.

"I'll keep it simple. How many troops were spared for our cause?" Joker asked.

"One hundred strong. The generals Antiope and Philippus split command but Antiope is the head of all of this." Athena said proudly.

"Good work. That will make things a bit easier. We need guards for our safehouses in Burnley and the Diamond District before we put anything of value there. The sewer entrances also must be locked off and protected. Make sure not to kill Croc. Just fall back if you come across him and down bother his little corner of it. We already have him on understanding terms." Joker said.

"You wish to use my soldiers as mere guards?! What a spit in the face for our talents!" Antiope hissed.

"I don't mean to offend. But I can't trust common goons to keep such things secret. Also I need you all to disguise yourselves from your heritage. If anyone finds out you're Amazons, Batman will get too suspicious and start asking questions." Joker said.

"And just what are your plans with the Dark Knight? I will gut you on the spot if the plan is to kill him." Donna said, glaring.

"Who might you be?" Joker asked.

"I wished to involve my greatest champions in this matter Trickster. Donna Troy is Wonder Woman's sister, younger but almost equal in power and might. She will judge you for Wonder Woman to see if your justice rings true. Prove yourselves and you make not one but two more powerful allies." Athena explained.

"You brought a possible leak right into our den? Foolish." Crow growled as swords were all pointed to his neck, glares from angry Amazons filled the room.

"Never disrespect my goddess mortal. Or I will kill you with one strike." Antiope hissed.

"Go ahead and try. This is all too risky a move anyway." Crow pulled out his wicked sword in challenge.

"Crow. Do not ruin this for us with your petty bullshit. Or I will defeat you again." Joker said.

"You needed your whole team for that Joker. Never forget that." Crow glared at him.

"You know we need more people. What better idea do you have? Please tell me how anything else is more wise and strategic." Joker said, clearly the more lunatic side of Akechi was being paranoid.

Crow looked around the room glaring him down, realizing this wasn't a hill worth dying on we stood down.

"This better work Joker. I'll call up White for their disguises. A massive group like this is bound to have a leak at some point. I hope you are prepared for what that might cause." Crow said as he walked out the door in a huff.

"Forgive Crow. He is like that to everyone. He'll cool down after my plan works." Joker said.

"His words are punishable by death in Amazon culture boy. One with such a mouth must be put down." Antiope growled.

"No he's too important. Listen come to me if he causes any more trouble. I take responsibility for any stupid thing he does. Sound fair?" Joker asked.

"...It will do...for now…" Antiope said.

"Queen, Noir, and Violet will provide you with orders in my absence. Should make it easier on all of you to help them the most. Oracle here is more support, this is very important, guard her and the man who lives at the Leblanc cafe with your life. From afar, but constant. Let me know if anything out of the ordinary is seen or heard. Oracle and Sojiro will not be killed in this...no one else will." Joker began to walk out with Skull and Fox before Donna blocked their path glaring him down.

"Hm? Have an issue...Donna was it?" Joker asked.

"I am not part of this army. My task is to judge your cause for all of the League's benefit. I swore on my life that I'll keep everything a secret from the Knight, but with all of this compliance with the Amazons, I demand to know just what you are planning." Donna pointed a sword at Joker, pulling out the lasso just in case he refused.

"The plan...is to finally stop the cycle of violence. To defeat but not kill Batman, or anyone who comes against us. If people die on our watch...any more that we haven't tried to atone for...what better are we from an actual terrorists group? You swore your life to Athena yes? To keep things secret from Batman? As long as you hold that promise I have nothing to lose from you witnessing our work. I must warn you though my next stop won't put the best case forward." Joker looked at her unfazed.

"Oh? Admitting your sins already? Where is it you are going?" Donna demanded.

"Joker are you sure about this?" Fox asked.

"Yeah...she's really...tense." Skull said.

"Don't stress out about it guys. We are on the right side of justice as always. What do we have to fear proving ourselves to a curious party?" Joker asked.

"Where are you going?" Donna pressed the sword tight across Joker's neck, drawing some blood in the process.

"We are going to see the Great Demon Lord. He has called me for a diplomatic meeting between us and the League. A show of strength, a real showstopper. You'll need a disguise so they wont recognize you." Joker said, shocking Donna.

"Wh...what?" Donna asked.

Blood Storms

The Kingdom of Hell

Batman had Raven make a portal to where Trigon summoned her. Green Lantern and Hawkgirl stepped through after Batman and Raven did.

"Remember, stay back and be ready to make an escape. I don't trust this." Batman narrowed his eyes at the guards who came up and pointed their swords at the group.

"How dare you intrude on our lord's sacred grounds?" A guard hissed.

"The great Sataneal told me to bring the League here for diplomacy, or was that just a trick?" Raven asked.

"Let them in." A voice boomed.

The demons looked at each other in confusion but complied, leading them to the king's throne. The three adults of the group took in the damage of the temple, and bloodstains that indicated a recent battle. What put them on edge the most was the appearance of Trigon.

"You are in the presence of the Demon Lord. Bow before him." Trigon hissed.

"No." Batman said simply.

"Dark Knight. Bow...or lose more limbs than I." Trigon growled.

"I'll take my chances." Batman said.

The booming footsteps could be heard coming from a distance. Dust fell from the old walls. Batman stared down Satanael without an ounce of fear.

"*Chuckles* The fables tell of a mortal man who bows to no one. A Dark Knight a city needs but doesn't deserve. You stare me down as a hunter would prey. I have respect for those who don't back down to impossible odds." Satanael said as he sat down with a thud.

"We are here to respond to your message. You said you wanted to open relations with the League is this true. Murmurs of anger and confusion filled the lower demons.

"HA! As if the great Demon Lord would do such things! This is clearly a ruse to kill whoever-" Trigon started

"Silence boy. They are correct." Satanael said.

"WHAT?! You...Sire...you must jest, Hell's goal is to end all life in the mortal realm. Prophecy dictates-" Trigon started before Satanael grabbed him by the neck, and started choking him.

"What do you know of prophecy, boy...Perhaps you speak of the prophecy the mortals have written that has been spun and twisted over milenna to fit the purposes of whoever was in power?" Satanael glared.

"I...but sire…*chokes* I...don't…" Trigon tried to croak out as Satanael tightened his grip.

"You are too young to remember to know what truly transpired those days. Eons of history, torn out and summarized into a book that changes gods halfway through. I know the true prophecy boy, and you weren't in it." Satanael stared Trigon in his soul in fury at being reminded of his past.

"Kill him and negotiations are over." Batman demanded.

Satanael looked down at the Knight, and chuckled deeply, throwing Trigon on the floor and making the former king scamper off.

"He always finds a way to anger these old bones." Satanael sighed.

"What did you wish to discuss regarding this meeting?" Lantern asked.

"You look upon me much like poor Raven does. Terrified at the possibilities and chaos I could bring upon the mortal realm. I need nothing but my own power to make a portal up there as I'm sure you've noticed. But that is not what Hell was made for." Satanael looked at the group.

"And just what is Hell's true purpose in your eyes?" Hawkgirl asked.

"A place of justice not war. When I came back from my slumber I noticed Hell was being overpowered by the wicked. This was disappointing. Lucifer was ordered to make it so this would never occur. Now I must fix this. This is less negotiation and more making things how they should be. When sinners die they should not be awarded for their past sins, they need to be punished by my full force." Satanael said.

"That's all well and good. But we all know you're a liar. A faker wearing the real Demon Lord's skin." Dr. Fate walked up and glared at the newly made king.

"You tried to sway Raven to corruption. And you admitted in aiding the Phantom Thieves. It is clear you have ulterior motives. What say you?" Hawkgirl asked, glaring.

"My motives are clear. The powerful demon must be stopped, killed, or sealed away forever. With Raven, she needs to control and accept the demonic half of her being, lest she be in a constant state of war between her two heritages for the rest of her days." Satanael said.

"You told her to betray us in return. And you expect us to make peace?!" Hawkgirl snarled.

"Not betray. Not all at least, I merely can not have Batman involved." Satanael said.

"No...You're telling me your game now." Batman said.

"He already did Bruce." Joker stepped out from around the corner and was followed by an unknown woman in a red and black hockey mask split into in terms of colors. White circle lenses were all that were seen in terms of eyes. Her whole body was covered in wrappings and wore all leather. She was armed with a machete. A heart emblem was on the forehead of the mask split into two colors opposite to the side it laid on.

"Joker." Batman glowed.

"*fakes a shiver* oh~ You say it with such hate. What did I do now?" Joker asked, smirking.

"It is clear my mind was clouded with empathy before. Now that I know you are working for the new Demon Lord. I won't go easy. I won't let you trick Gotham into falling for your con." Batman growled.

"Oh Bruce...So black and white in morality. You should have seen what my demon has done to the big guy here. Chained and bound...broken and defeated before I freed him. Wishing the world was more fair and just, like I do." Joker said.

"You made a literal deal with the devil, kid. That never goes down well." Green Lantern said.

"He saved my life more times than I can count and the same goes the other way. When the world is so broken and corrupt someone must rise up and fight it. Those who are too powerful for even the League to touch will bow down in regret and confession. This is the only way Dark Knight, brute force has never been the solution. Diplomacy is redundant as those in power are as dirty as the homeless man on the street begging, pleading for a single cent. Who are you to deny true reform? Who are you to just write me off like the society of my world did. When the heroes of the world bend to those in power, I will sacrifice my name, my honor, my everything, and become the villain to society, a gentleman thief of hearts." Joker monologue.

"Your justice is flawed Joker. This will not form a better society, things like this never do." Batman said.

"It worked once...it has to work again. Or my friends...my family….will be destroyed." Akira said simply as a single tear streamed down his face and down the mask.

"Every single person besides my team...has called me a liar unjustly, a criminal, dirty scum who should take his own life so the perfect people don't have to deal with my existence. If the society you fight for is so crooked but you do nothing to fix it. You are just as bad Bruce. Even if I wasn't forced I would probably still fight you on this issue. How many times has the other Joker escaped to kill hundreds, thousands...how many more until we adapt?" Joker said..

"I'm done empathizing with you. I'm sorry your team has gone through such torment but this is not the way to uphold justice. Stop or I'll force you to." Batman said, sternly.

"*chuckle* Hahahahaha. So...just like before I am the one in the wrong? The one that must submit to those who think they are so righteous? THE ONE WHO MUST ROT IN PRISON FOR TRYING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT?!" Joker raged. Red aura surrounded him as his eyes glowed red, he gritted his teeth as he clenched his head. No matter what he does he is trapped in an unfair game. A position where everything in power tried to stop him. No more...NO MORE!

Joker took a sigh, as he calmed himself. He'd show the world all over again if he had to, Bat-mite had to die, and this world needed to be brought to peace. No more high school, no more prospects of a future that he knew would never come to be, or a future that promised blissful ignorance in return for being controlled yet again.

"Bruce. Don't make me become a demon again. Don't make my friends, my family suffer anymore torment. If you are truly sorry, surrender, bow, write a statement something that proves I have won. Free me, free us, and maybe it'll be enough for this whole thing to stop. And my friends can go home again. I'll take all responsibility again and stay, just bow down and it will be over." Joker said, struggling to find what he truly wants in his life. This was fast approaching the only constant he had left, he didn't want to waste his life in prison but just like with Akechi, it may be the only way to assure his friends will be spared.

"Clearly you are getting emotional, Joker. All of this power is too much for someone like you. Your friends must be questioned and kept watched on. End of story. Skull alone is powerful enough to bring a building down. Do you truly think they too could walk away from this? You should have done all of the things they did yourself if you wanted them spared. They are just as guilty as you are in all of this. And without all that I too would rather die than be controlled by some god or demon. The only way to stop the suffering, the injustice, is to surrender to me. And have the League track this villain down and bring him to justice. It is not up for debate." Batman explained, sternly.

"...Then I have no choice. Come...SATANAEL!" Joker screamed

(Will Power OT)

" My Trickster...It seems diplomacy has failed us once more. Denizens of Hell. Capture the intruders. We will prove our cause worthy of praise." Satanael said.

Cheers echoed through the room as hundreds of demons rushed into the room.

"There's no running Joker. You will face trial. You will pay for the wrongs you have done."

Damn brat, I'll sue!

Worthless trash like you don't deserve to be here.

SHIHO NOOO!

You will most likely get the death penalty for this crimes. You must give their names if you are to live.

I'm going to kill you Joker. Watch as all of your friends fall one by one due to your foolish cause.

THE IGNORANT MASSES NEED A STRONG RULER LIKE ME. ANY LEAKS IN THIS SHIP MUST BE DESTROYED!

Will you deny what the public wants? Die heretic, and be forgotten.

I'll save the world! I CAN MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY!

BANG!

A large bullet flew through the sky, from Satanael's pistol. It was aimed a few feet away from the group of heroes and demons so not to kill anyone. The blast sent everyone flying fast out of the temple from the sheer force of the gun.

"THE WINGS OF REBELLION WILL SOAR THE HEAVENS! IF A WAR MUST BE FOUGHT IT IS A WAR WE WILL WIN!" Satanael roared.

"Rebellion against control is chaos. You are a fool to think chaos will fix the world." Dr. Fate said.

"WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE! THERE ARE MORE COMING!" Green Lantern yelled as he slammed back demons with his ring blasts.

"Raven get us out of here now!" Batman demanded.

"R-right…" Raven opened a portal and everyone entered except her and Batman.

"Batman?" Raven asked.

"This isn't over Joker. Next time I'll be prepared." Batman promised.

"You made me do this Bruce. My friends deserve more than to rot in a cell for what they believe in." Joker glared.

"What they deserve is punishment for their crimes. Each and every one. That's a promise." Batman walked in pulling Raven with him.. The portal closed.

"Trickster?" Satanael asked.

"We're doing another palace before the end of the month. Extra credit before the deadline is too good to pass up." Joker said as he walked away.

"You revealed much more than planned." Satanael said.

"The lasso even in close proximity demands the full truth." Donna said as she took off her mask.

"So be it. I just didn't expect it to make me emotional." Joker said.

"I will humor this for a while longer. It's clear you are truthful for your path of justice. But are the others the same as you?" Donna challenged.

"Is that all? Easy." Joker said

Batman immediately made a call the moment he stepped through the portal.

"Alfred. Make a list of possible mage users that are powerful enough to take over multiple people. Tell all of the Titans to double their efforts on finding the Phantom Thieves. No building in Gotham is to be ignored. The Phantom Thieves need to be stopped before their next move." Batman said, tense.

"Of course sir. Is it as bad as you make it sound?" Alfred asked.

"Worse. Joker practically commanded the new ruler of hell. I have no idea how he managed that." Batman said.

"We'll soon find out." Dr. Fate said.

"So you're joining our search then?" Batman asked.

"I was already considering it. But the tower and House of Mystery must be guarded. Someone will have to take my place in one of them. As my wife can cover one." Dr. Fate said.

"I'll do it." Raven stepped up.

"Little girl, do you know of the importance of the House of Mystery?" Dr. Fate asked.

"Zatanna gave me the summar once" Raven answered.

"Then you know how important it is to guard it. IF anything out of the ordinary happens there. Call us. The inbetween of the conscious and unconscious must not be exposed by any one!" Dr. Fate said.

"You can count on me!" Raven saluted.

I can use the time alone...to think…

The Bowery

Mona had been tracking Selina's movements all day. It was hard to pinpoint but the cats of Gotham weren't the best at secrecy when it came to their feeder. Mona made sure to ditch his collar and mask his scent in mud and grime to play the part of a fellow stray. He managed to charm a female into leading him to Selina's apartment.

"Is here" the stray meowed, motioning to a secret entrance with cats all around it.

"Thanks babe. I've been looking for a place to stay." Mona smirked.

"Join in my spot~? Settle~? Mate~?" the stray rubbed itself on Mona, purring in question.

"Ah...Look you're very pretty...but I must kindly refuse." Mona tried to turn her down gently.

"Hmm?" The cat asked not understanding his words.

"*sigh* No...food only." Mona simplified.

"Boys.." The stray grumbled as it left to find another possible mate.

Right. Now to wait for Selina to show.

"Feeder come! Bring fish!" Another stray mewled in excitement as multiple cats crowded the door. Selina opened the apartment door with groceries in tow.

"Now, now babies. You must earn your keep. Show mama the goodies." Selina said.

Several strays brought out multiple watches, necklaces, and wallets to Selina. She smiled as she went through it all.

"Good kitties~" She cooed as she poured cat food in the bowls.

A knock at the door was heard and Selina sighed and put down the bag. Mona played his part as Selina opened the door.

"Selina." Batman greeted her.

"Can't remember the last time you came to my place Bruce. What do I owe for the pleasure?" Selina ran a teasing hand on his chin. Batman grabbed it.

"Phantom Thieves. Where are they?" Batman demanded.

"I wouldn't know. The kids were very secretive." Selina lied.

"Don't lie to me. Not about this." Batman narrowed his eyes.

"Oh, please. I'm sure a bunch of kids will slip up eventually. Why are you so concerned?" Selina huffed.

"You have no idea about what Joker does behind the scenes do you? What people does he makes deals with?" Batman said, gravely.

"A couple of heists here and there regarding Black Mask and I got out of there. I have no idea how they manage this change of heart business if that's what you're asking. White Rabbit didn't even know." Selina said.

"White Rabbit should have bolted by now too. The thieves are too hot, too wanted. Why is she staying?" Batman pressed.

"Shit if I know. They probably bought her out, bought her special premium package or whatever she calls it. Or maybe she's suddenly got bad at reading her cards and knowing when to fold and run." Selina looked at her nails.

"Not likely. Even with the package in mind she would still run by now. Every possible threat has their eyes on that group. This isn't business, they must have something personal on her." Batman said.

"Honestly, the way she teases Crow...wouldn't doubt it. Probably trying to worm her way in for protection. She knows she'll be killed on sight if spotted." Selina said.

"You won't tell me where they are will you?" Batman pressed.

"Something deep inside me tells me I shouldn't. Call it payback for all the bullshit you've put me through the past years." Selina said.

"Fine. I'll find them on my own. But that doesn't mean you won't tell me about the more unknown members." Batman said.

"Oh~? And why's that?" Selina asked.

Batman pulled out a beautiful necklace out of his pouch. Selina smirked and put a hand on his chest.

"Why Batman you shouldn't have~?" Selina purred as she snacthed the necklace.

"Intel on them. Detailed as possible." Batman said.

"Take a seat Bruce. You've bought your way back into my heart." Selina smirked.

"I'll stand." Batman said.

"*sigh* Whatever. The Phantom Thieves have one thing good going for them. They are a very effective unit. The chain of command is almost never challenged, and when it is Joker quickly squashes it not with violence but with words. All but Crow and White Rabbit look to him as a god. Never got it, not cult like but like they owe him the world. Very personal stuff underneath all that teamwork." Selina started.

"I already know some about their origins. Four of them at least. I doubt they were as forthcoming with you." Batman said, thinking.

"You always did have something about you that made Rouges spill out their entire backstory. I didn't care enough to force it. The deal was very cloak and dagger. I don't know how they found out about your identity, but they promised not to force it out of me. Guess that promise was upheld because they found out on their own rather quickly after that. Joker had such a victorious little smirk on his face that day." Selina said.

"The ones I know next to nothing about Noir, Violet, and Crow. There was a new one that showed up today. Know anything about her?" Batman asked.

"Nope. Sorry Bats. I had little interaction with those three. Both Noir and Violet seem like total goodie goodies. Crow though, oof. Talk about baggage, he gives you a run for your money." Selina said.

"Elaborate." Batman said.

"How should I put it? Every meeting he stands in the corner and sulks as he listens to orders. He is paranoid about every little thing and is very blunt and aggressive. The only person he is even close to respecting is Joker. A broken man like that, needs a lot to be able to trust someone. The only difference between you and him I would say is morality. He admits straight out that he doesn't believe in their little cause. He merely helps because it benefits him in some way. I looked at him and knew he would try to kill me if I dared to betray him. Lucky for me, I'm not afraid of a teenager that's in a goth phase. I do wonder why he sticks around if he hates everyone so much." Selina said.

"It's clear whatever hate he has is put aside for the hate for the person who forces him to act." Batman said.

"Oh yeah, that guy." Selina said.

"You know him?" Batman asked.

"*scoff* No. But are they terrified of him, apparently he's killed seven people they are close to. Never seen the bodies, never seen any news regarding possible links. All I have to go on is the look of grief and guilt on their faces. The room really tenses up whenever "he" is brought up, seriously they treat his name like a curse or something." Selina said.

"It is." Batman said.

"Oh I'm so scared. Shivering in my boots." Selina said sarcastically.

"All I know is that it's true. From the way static takes their voice whenever they try to say the name. To the death of Zatanna. If there is one thing they don't lie about it's the existence of their captor." Batman said.

"You're looking paler than usual Bruce. It really bothers you doesn't it? Not knowing who caused Zatanna's death." Selina said.

"Let's just say I've seen little of what power Joker holds. And it's fast approaching a global threat, who has enough power to keep him in check, and why is he so obsessed with me?" Batman rhetorically asked.

"You always had a way of making enemies Bruce. I really think you're blowing all of this way out of proportion though. A group of kids can't possibly be that powerful." Selina scoffed.

"Then you know less than I had hoped." Batman said as he began to walk out of the door before he stopped.

"Something the matter?" Selina asked.

"Why did you betray them? It was clear the deal was very rewarding to you if you stayed." Batman asked.

"Leave it alone Bruce." Selina hissed.

"They got to your kindness didn't they? That Panther girl perhaps?" Batman asked.

"LEAVE IT ALONE!" Selina roared.

"And you pushed her back because you were afraid." Batman deduced.

"NO! I did it because I knew they were going to be caught! Gotham is nothing but an untamed jungle. Only the strongest and smartest can survive it. I know it, you know it. And them being all nice to everyone will get them killed!" Selina stated.

"So they did." Batman said.

"Get out Bruce. Leave me to my own devices." Selina said.

"You need to stop before you are all alone Selina. Stop all this nonsense and help me fix Gotham. Tame it." Batman put a hand on her shoulder and she backed away.

"I'm not getting hurt again Bruce. Not again...I can't get attached just to watch you die on the streets by some thugs." Selina shook her head as tears began to form.

"Please. Let me help you." Batman said softly.

"No...No...please leave." Selina said.

Batman sighed as he got a call, he put two fingers on the answer button and listened.

"I'll be there." Batman said as he hung up.

Batman turned back to leave through the door.

"I'll be back, Selina. Something has got to give before all you have are the cats." Batman said softly.

"Just go Bruce. We both know I'll die here alone and the cats will eat me. Such is the way of life. People die, but I'm not going to mourn anyone else." Selina said as Batman walked away.

Mona watched that all go down as he ate. He watched Selina start crying as the cats began to cuddle her for comfort. This couldn't go on, it was like Futaba all over again.

"I...I don't need anyone...just the kitties...you're all such good kitties…" She sniffed.

Mona left the apartment to report back, he didn't know for sure but this situation screamed possible palace. They had a deal and Catwoman upheld it even after betraying them. A gentleman like him couldn't let such a pretty girl fall like this.

Cafe Leblanc.

"CONDITIONS MET! BEGINNING NAVIGATION!" The Nav rang and the cafe rumbled, twisted and turned as the Phantom Thieves found themselves in a dense rainforest.

"Looks like Mona was right on the money." Oracle said.

"Selina...no.." Panther said solemnly.

"Are you sure you want to do this? She betrayed us after all." Crow asked.

"Didn't stop me from trying to help you. I see no difference." Joker said.

"Are we all in agreement?" Queen asked.

"Yeah let's do it." Skull said.

"Agreed." Fox said.

The rest said their agreements as Crow sighed.

"Crow?" Queen asked.

"You all know already I don't care. But with the deadline met it begs the question. What this 'extra credit' will yield. I'll go along with this for that reason." Crow grumbled.

"Then it's settled, let's get some rest and start tomorrow." Joker said.

Batmite watched all this occur with a smile on his face. Everything was coming together. He knew Batman would never yield in his pursuit of justice. All loose ends must be tied to satisfy him, so the thought of Akira sacrificing himself was pointless and stupid. Akira was playing right into his hand without even knowing it, another mirror practically being served on a silver plate.

Delicious. Now Phase Two can go off without a hitch. This is going to be very entertaining.

AN: Not gonna lie to yall. I had to listen to the Doom Eternal ST to get through that cat girl scene. They're too cute and sweet to write for my bloodthirsty mind. I might actually include the demons from that game to further flesh out the hell in the fic, I don't know yet though. Hope you enjoyed this chapter and please enjoy the little bonus below~.

BONUS:

Batman Game Overs Prompts:

Violet:

1: Batman lays on the ground defeated as Violet points a dagger at his throat. She pants from the strain of battle. Batman glares up at her in challenge.

"I'm sorry Mr. Wayne. I wish it didn't have to come to this. Stay down...please…" Violet said, soberly.

2: "Finally, maybe now this war can end."

3: "WHA!? I...I did it?"

4: *spins with ribbon in mouth as she poses dramatically.* "A perfect ten!"

Noir:

1: Batman looks up from his prone position to see a grenade launcher pointed at him. He notices the disappointed frown on her face.

"Oh my...I expected….more of a hard battle. I feel like I need more." Noir said glum.

2: "Please don't resist Mr. Wayne. I'd hate to harm you anymore than I have to"

3: "*Smiles wickedly* *pants* What a battle! Thank you."

4: *Takes a sip of coffee from a table that appeared out of nowhere# "Adieu Dark Knight" She looks up smugly.

Panther:

1: Batman coughed up blood as he laid on the floor. Panther rushed up to him in a worried manner.

"Hey….Are you alright?! Oh god...um...stay down. Once the others get here I'll heal you!" Panther said checking his wounds.

Batman doubted the team would let such things occur. As good as the Phantom Thevies claim to be, he knew they weren't stupid enough to help an enemy.

2: "Woah! That was easy!" Panther Chipred.

3: "No wonder Selina uses a whip! You're no match for one!"

4: *poses dramatically and winks* "How's that? hehehe…"

Fox

1: Batman fell to his knees as he succumbed to the multiple cuts around his body. He clenched a particularly bad one in pain. A katana touched his forehead, causing him to look up at the one who defeated him.

"It was a hard battle. The art of your moves was a sight to behold. It was an honor to be able to defeat you Dark Knight." Fox said, respectfully.

2: "The Dark Knight falls. Yet a new dawn is on the horizon."

3: Fox makes a picture frame with his fingers down at the Knight.

"*chuckles* I must capture this moment in memory. So I can later express the exhilaration felt on canvas."

4: *poses dramatically* "And the curtain falls upon your crusade."

Skull

1: Skull smirked down at the beaten Knight. He can't believe he has won. Batman chastised himself for being beaten by him

"HA! Not so scary now are ya, huh Brucie?"

2: "HELL YEAH! I EFFING DID IT!"

3: Skull pokes the downed Batman with his hammer disappointed.

"Aw man...I expected more fun" Skull frowned.

4: *makes rock and roll symbol after falling on his face* "HA! NO MATCH FOR ME!"

Queen

1: Queen puts a hand on her hip looking down at the fallen Knight. She takes a couple of deep breaths to calm herself after the battle.

"That was easier than expected. *giggles* To think I alone defeated the Dark Knight."

2: "Checkmate Mr. Wayne. Stay down."

3: Justice is on our side Mr. Wayne. Your fall was inevitable."

4: *Looks over her shoulder dramatically after an intense combo* "FISTS OF JUSTICE!"

Oracle:

1: The small teen leaned down looking at Batman smiling smugly. It was clear from his wounds he wasn't getting up.

"Mwehehehe. What a noob."

2: "Now that you're down I can take a look at all your toys!"

3: "All will fall before me. The great Alibaba!" She said dramatically.

4: *Hacks into the cognition and unleashes a bomb upon the Knight.* "Bombs Away~"

Cleopatra:

1: The scantily clad woman flipped her hair as she looked down at the defeated Knight. She couldn't believe how easy it was.

"Hohoho! Seems the Dark Knight can't live up to the tales he has spun on the streets." Cleopatra said in her British accent.

2: "My, My...The king is going to reward me greatly for this."

3: "Hmmm? That's all you got Mr. Knight?"

King Tut:

1: The mad man who calls himself a god managed to defeat the Dark Knight. King Tut stands over Batman holding back his staff behind his back, prepared to strike.

" Ra has blessed us on this day. Now Gotham is the Pharaoh's to rule."

2: "No man is powerful enough against my might"

3: The cat that King Tut claimed was Ra looked down at Batman almost shocked.

"MEOW MEOW MEOW!" the cat cried at King Tut.

"Quiet. Let's wait for the others to think of what to do. Knowing $#%!%$% this probably won't count as a defeat." King Tut said.

White Rabbit:

1: White Rabbit stomped her heel down onto Batman's chest. What a night this was for her. Crow will be pleased.

"Seems like I caught you on an off night, eh Bats?"

2: "Seems like I have instead caught you Knight. What a turn of events!"

3: "Welp. Work is gonna be hard to come by with you out of commission."

Crow:

1: Crow pointed his gun at the Dark Knight's head laughing evilly. What a joke.

"*Laughs* To think this is who Gotham prays to protect them. How pathetic."

2: Is that all Mr. Wayne? I expected more from Gotham's "Greatest Detective".

3: "How disappointing. I didn't even give it my all."

4: *clenches his mask as he laughs hysterically.* "HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! Dieeee!

Mona:

1: A weird cat-like monster looked down at Batman, he has never seen it with the Phantom Thieves before. This must have been the familiar Constantine was talking about.

"Nyahahaha! You were no match for the Phantom Thieves"

2: "What do you think? Graceful? Stylish? Go on~" Mona purred smugly.

3: Mona in his cat form sat dumbstruck on the Knight's chest. He had no idea how he managed to defeat him without even turning into his meta form.

"Are ya kidding me? That's it?!"

4: *smokes cigar as he spins in a chair* "Heh...The End"

Joker:

1: Joker pulled on his glove as he smirked down at Batman. It was finally over. He had won.

"Don't worry Bruce. I'll make sure corruption is weeded out. To the last man." Joker said.

2: "A fitting end to our battle. Show's over. Justice is on our side."

3: " Nothing personal Bruce. I just needed you down so I could finally take down my true enemy."

4: "Power courses through me!"

5: The whole team runs circles around the downed Knight as a triumphant jazz tune plays.

6: Mona jumps on Joker's shoulder smiling smugly. "LOOKING COOL JOKER!"

Bat-mite:

1: Bat-mite stands on Batman's chest and stares down angry, stomping down on his armor. Batman couldn't believe he was seeing this imp again after so long.

"Booo...What a blowout! Ya didn't even try! That's it! Maybe I should have chosen a more hardened Batman to throw the Phantom Thieves at." Bat-mite said, grinning after saying that.

2: "*sigh* Maybe it's time to switch champions. I know! I'll have The clown take your place! He'll make up for this!"

3. "This is ridiculous. I'm turning back time just so I can make sure this doesn't happen again"

AN: PALACE 3 BABY LET'S GO!
