AN: Got some memento grinding to do. I won't focus much on them fighting the shadows again, instead I'll focus more on the villian side of things. Also got some other things to go over before the vain arc begins. Also will be focusing more on Titan interaction as requested,

FEEDBACK:

Firem78910: Yup. Mr. Freeze will be playing a part in this.

Concepts and Cookies: Thanks friend, but I'm honestly cool with breaking 100 follows we're so close to it. At least with that amount I know I'm doing something right with this fic.

EternalKirby: Yeah that's what I figured too. With the villains it'll both be good for threats for both sides of the chase. For the heroes, you know that will be a hard argument. Good to know the glitches are gone as well. Now I can work in peace.

Guest: Salut. Yeah I'll be sure to add more interactions between PHantom Thieves and Titans while they are undercover.

Warning: bad things go badly lmao

I don't own Persona, Batman/JLA, or Nekopara

Enjoy~

May 29th, Early Morning

Watchtower

Donna teleported to the gigantic space station. She walked politely but quickly to Diana's room. She exchanged quick pleasantries with any who greeted her. Underneath she was hyper focused. Her mission needed to be done.

"Yo, been a while Donna!" Cyborg greeted with his usual energy.

"Morning Cy." Donna said.

"Been wondering where you've been. Been in contact with the Titans and Dick said they could use you for something in Gotham. Something big." Cyborg said.

"Unfortunately I can't, I'm on a mission for Diana at the moment, I can't go into detail but...it's very big as well." Donna said.

"I get ya. But be sure to check in with all of us yeah? Your comm went down last night and when it does that we're gonna worry." Cyborg said.

"Oh, right. It got destroyed in a fight last night. I'm here to report and replace it." Donna said.

"Ya gotta be more careful girl. What would we do if something happened to ya?" Cyborg chided.

"I know, I know...I don't need a lecture, you get more and more like Dick as the years go on." Donna said.

"Just call it me caring. Stay safe out there." Cyborg said.

"You too." Donna said and they parted.

Donna sighed once Cyborg was out of ear shot. While she would eventually tell him about what happened in Gotham, she couldn't risk Cyborg going around and telling people. He was always such a gossip back at the tower.

She got to Diana's room and knocked. No answer, weird, everyone said this is where she would be.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

Diana snored quietly as Donna knocked. She had long days of diplomacy in multiple countries about this and that, and was suffering from not having a solid sleep schedule.

"Diana?" A voice called.

She groggily awoke to the call.

"Just a minute…" she groaned. She was using her superhuman speed to look proper, the sound of her quick footsteps could be heard through the door.

"By the gods, sister it is just me, not the president." Donna groaned.

The sounds stopped, the door opened with Diana, her hair a mess and a toothbrush in her mouth.

"Sorry, you caught me off guard. Come in." Diana said.

Donna walked in and closed the door. Diana knew she probably wasn't going to get sleep for a while so she continued her morning routine.

"I take it you have a report?" Diana asked as she brushed her hair.

"Yes, The Phantom Thieves…*sighs* The Phantom Thieves are to be trusted." Donna said.

"Why the sigh of defeat sister?" Diana asked.

"It was….rather hard to accept. It will be quite hard for the rest of the Titans, let alone the League, to simmer their anger at them." Donna said.

"If it comes from your mouth sister, I believe every word." Diana smiled and put a hand on her sister's shoulder.

"Diana...that's not it. Never before has a group given me such conflicting thoughts." Donna said.

"That's just your heart guiding you down the right path, if you say they are to be trusted, then it is a simple matter for me." Diana said.

"It's not you...it's Bruce…" Donna said.

"Surely with conviction even Bruce can be swayed. He is stubborn but he is also logical and rational. If you have proof he will listen." Diana said.

"They changed both Catwoman and Taila." Donna said.

"I beg your pardon?" Diana stopped what she was doing.

"You heard me...You know how he thinks Diana...You know how he works...Despite all the trouble those two caused him.."

"Enough…" Diana said suddenly.

She stepped down the uneasiness of hearing those names. Leave it to Bruce to pay attention to those two more than women that would be good for him...women like...Diana shook her head.

"Diana...I know that look. You're starting to doubt you can convince him." Donna said.

"When it comes to the heart, I'm afraid I don't have much of a hold on him." Diana said.

"What are you going to do?" Donna asked.

"First tell me everything. Step by step, day by day." Diana said.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

"Hera help me…" Diana pinched the bridge of her nose as she sat on her bed.

"Diana?" Donna asked.

"No wonder you were skeptical. I would be too...that Joker...he loves to tease Bruce doesn't he?" Diana said, laughing at the current state of things.

"I asked him about why. He said it was mostly runoff anger from their captor. He constantly tortures them, egging them on to take him down...but they simply can't...at least not at the moment." Donna said.

"Matters not. What matters is convincing the League to step back. We currently are on high alert for them due to the fall of Panessa Studios, and the meeting with the new Demon Lord. What we have to do is not focus on Bruce but rather those who support him." Diana said softly.

"He'll view it as betrayal." Donna said.

"He'll view it as he views it Donna. Ultimately, there is nothing that will stop Bruce now. He'll view it as mind control and fight to undo every change of heart. Even if I right now, walked up to him with the lasso of truth wrapped around my waist….He'll still have doubts. He'll still view them as a danger to society. As will most of the more cautious members of the League. He'll say they are the only lead to their captor. You said Dr. Fate was helping him as well...he only works with others for a great reason... It would come down to a vote between all high ranking members. The danger out weighs whatever happens to the Phantom Thieves. It would mostly be a landslide vote. Even if we force his hand he'd ignore it. The only option left in his mind...is to choose a side. Him or them...who would the League choose to follow?" Diana asked darkly.

"There must be something you can do? What about Superman? What about-"

"Even Kal can't stop that man when he's angered." Diana said.

"SO WHAT ARE WE JUST GOING TO LET HIM JAIL THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES?! THEIR JUST KIDS DIANA! MORE THAN THAT THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG!" Donna roared.

Diana stood silent for a long moment, thinking deeply.

"You're right…" Diana said as she stood up.

Donna looked up at her, she had that look of fierce determination.

"Those poor children are crying, begging for someone to help them. Every move forced, every action out of their control. Who are we to judge them for what we ourselves would do in their shoes. Who are we to prosecute those who are innocent?! Athena was right to call on us Donna, we must convince those who wish to destroy the Phantom Thieves that they are just. With wisdom...and most likely our swords." Diana said.

"You...you mean?" Donna was about to ask.

"Go to your team Donna. Convince them as you have me. I will do everything in my power to convince mine." Diana said to her sister.

Donna nodded.

"Print me the report. I'll need it for the next meeting." Diana said.

"Here. You'll also need this back." Donna handed her the lasso of truth.

"Right. Almost felt nude without it." Diana said.

Both left to plan for their respective meetup. Both were wearing the determined look of an Amazon.

Donna caught Cyborg nearby. And pulled him aside.

"YO! What gives?!" Cyborg screamed, but Donna put a hand on his mouth.

"You're so loud. I'm calling a meeting between all Titans. I know you're in the League now, but it's important." Donna shushed.

"I thought you were going cloak and dagger. Why the sudden change?" Cyborg said.

"I needed the go ahead, you rusty tin can! You coming or not?" Donna huffed.

"What is it? Must be huge." Cyborg asked.

"Not telling until we get everyone. I know you Cy. You're going to gossip. I don't need any more drama than this will already cause." Donna said.

"That's no fair! I'll keep it a secret promise!" Cyborg begged.

"No. Now you can come with me, or you can hear it from Diana in the morning. You're choice." Donna said..

"Well of course I'm going to come with you! The League's getting involved?!" Cybord yelled.

Donna shushed loudly.

"For a Leaguer you have little control. Come. With me quietly. It's top secret until the moment everyone shows." Donna said firmly.

Cyborg huffed at that, but followed anyway

Velvet Room

"OOF!" Mona cried out in pain.

"Come on man, Constantine said ya have to work on your endurance." Skull said.

"I KNOW WHAT HE SAID! BUT WHY YA GOTTA HIT SO HARD BONEHEAD!" Mona hissed.

Constantine shook his head as he heard them fight. He looked over to Futaba and began his lessons.

"Y-you sure I should be fighting. I prefer doing more support." Futaba said shyly.

"Ya gotta have something offensive love. What if ya friends ain't there?" Constantine asked.

"T-That would never happen Akira wouldn't let it happen…" She said firmly.

"It's a precaution love, I've seen ya drop bombs on enemies. It'll be just like that alright?" he tried to comfort.

"O-okay…" Futaba submitted.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

Akira gathered the group together, they were getting ready for the next mass attack on Mementos.

"Ok the plan is set. But I have to restock on supplies before we go." Akira said.

"That works for me. I'm busy with work today." Ryuji said.

"I'd prefer another day to train." Makoto said.

"I actually have a shift at the arcade. But I could skip it." Ryuji said.

"No. We should all make sure to have good covers. Did the rest of you find jobs?" Mona asked.

"I'm laying low for the time being, what with Wayne knowing my description and all." Akechi said passive aggressively.

"You're happy about the challenge, stop lying." Futaba huffed.

"Just make sure to avoid the Titans scouting the area. You all remember what their covers are right?" Mona said.

"Of course." Makoto said.

"Yes." Haru said.

"Y-yeah…" Ryuji tried.

"Totally…" Ann tried as well.

Akechi face palmed. Mona rolled his eyes.

"Just try and not get us all caught. I like a challenge but one of my own doing." Akechi admitted.

"Meeting adjourned." Akira said.

The rest of the team left the room.

Akira stayed as Constantine lit a cigarette, leaning on Igor's desk.

"Like I said, rookies…" Constantine leaned his head back and blew out a pillar of smoke.

"We're getting there…" Akira said.

"You need to get there yourself mate. Bats ain't going easy anymore, the moment you have to send you're little message...Fate's gonna pop in and trap ya the moment you come back to reality." Constantine said.

"I know. I've got a plan." Akira said.

"I've heard it. It's shite." Constantine said bluntly.

"Oh yeah got a better one? Love to hear it." Akira said.

"Fight's inevitable. Thing is...ya gotta keep Bats on his toes...Your powers allow for that...ya gotta keep it chaotic...keep it unpredictable. You said you had the keys that bastard gave you. Use em'" Constantine said.

"I see...I guess you're right. I was just waiting it out because I was having Lavenza looking into something for me. Did you find it Lavenza?" Akira asked.

"Yes, just as you thought my Trickster, there exists a new ultimate Lover's persona." Lavenza said.

"Ah, good. I was beginning to think Bat-mite shorted me. But I'll use the other keys first. How are we doing with Messiah Picaro?" Akira asked.

"His reports leave me to believe he is having troubles pushing his counterpart to action. Uriel's judgment was mixed and his ultimate verdict was to have more time to judge our actions." Lavenza said.

"Leave it to the guy upstairs to do fuck all." Constantine grumbled.

"In regards to Athena, the Amazons treat her quite well. As another god to worship and follow, like the twin sister that they never knew was missing. The problem more lies with the Amazons hatred toward man and ther world outside the island. Though General Phillipus has taken it all in stride, accepting her orders and Athena...Antiope is more...stubborn...More to offset Queen Hippolyta who sees you all as a delivery from the great goddess herself." Lavenza said.

"Acceptable. How are the churches doing?" Akira asked.

"No issue. Alice takes pride in keeping territory. Though with her wondering rumors of ghosts have popped up in the area. Both the Amazons and Assassins however get along coldly but disciplined. The fact they are all women does help matters though, at least on the Amason's end." Lavenza said.

"Ok, Trigon….any ideas?" Akira asked.

"The denizens of hell are bound to be evil to the core my Trickster. It's in their nature. You could strike a deal with him but I Doubt he respects you at all to do such a thing. The only thing keeping at bay is Satanael. And I doubt that fear will hold for long." Lavenza said.

"What if I unleash another demon down there?" Akira asked.

"Could work. Dealt with that bastard for years, just make sure it ain't Lucifer or weak. Otherwise it wouldn't work." Constantine said.

"What of the Lucifier of this world?" Akira asked.

"Runs a bar in LA with his little sidepiece Mazikeen, a Lilim consort. Won't care about this." Constantine said.

"Can't we make a deal with him?" Lavenza said.

"No." Constantine said a little too quickly.

"Something bothering ya John?" Akira asked.

"It's nothing. Lucifer is just a pisser that can go die." Constantine said.

"Ok...we can come back to that." Akira sweated.

"The most pressing issues are the soldier's morale. We need a general to hell's forces to quell their anger." Lavenza said.

"You have Beelzebub. He's a prince of Hell here. But I doubt this mine will just let yours take his position." Constantine said.

"More curse attacks? Thought you wanted variety?" Akira smirked.

"Calming down Hell is more important. Sides ya got three of the bloody keys." Constantine said.

"We also should send reinforcements to Heaven. I would recommend Megatron. One of Heaven's most trusted mediators." Lavenza said.

"Welp. So much for variety. Maybe the new Lover will offer more of a switch up." Akira said.

"Yes. It should." Lavenza nodded.

Akira approached the cage of Beelzebub. The giant fly twitched his head in all directions in an inhuman manner. It rubbed two of his four hands together when it saw Akira.

"Tricksterrrr~" he buzzed.

"Oh great Beelzebub. Hear my plea…" Akira started.

"No need for that my boy. You have already proven yourself worthy to me~" Beelzebub hummed.

"Then you know what you need to do." Akira said as he unlocked the cell.

"Yessss. An army of chaos must be led. My mirror is inferior...hehehehe I can sense it." The bug's wings fluttered in joy.

"Then do what you have to." Akira said.

"*Chuckles darkly* I shall...I will show him what hell truly is… I am thou, Thou art I." Beelzebub chuckled as he left.

With that Akira walked to Metatron's cell. The metal skinned angel sat calmly on his cell bed.

"You aid in the death of another. Truly morally dubious wouldn't you say? The gods of this world will surely see it as such." Metatron said.

"It must be done. You know this." Akira said.

"I know this. But they do not. How are we to prove our moral standing with such acts? My mirror will surely see you as irredeemable, demented, a fiend." Metatron argued.

"So show them the light. Show them our justice." Akira said.

"Hmph. You always had a silver tongue my Trickster. But you speak the truth. And for that I must follow as is our pact." Metatron said as he stood.

Akira unlocked the door and the tall angel walked out of the cell.

"Bondage awaits all if we do not act soon. This world's Messiah must see reason or we are all doomed to damnation. I am thou, Thou art I." Metatron said as he walked off.

Lavenza walked up to Akira.

"Are you ready for the fusion, my Trickster?" she asked.

"Yes, gather them." Akira said.

Lavenza nodded, and set the mass systems of guillotines with the all the Lovers arcana.

Akira nodded and Lavenza executed them all. The fusion works to create something else entirely.

A tall woman stood. A tan and curvy figure with long locks of red stood, she wore in a manner that screamed regal. She wore a revealing greek robe that showed off her generous chest and long tan legs. The robe had flowers called poppies, red flowers that represented nourishment. She was barefoot holding a long staff of wood that had a variety of plants and grains growing out of it, mainly wheat. She looked at Akira with piercing green eyes that spoke of a long life of experience. Of ups and downs. The cold gaze warmed slightly at the sight of a child.

"Who calls I, Demeter? Goddess of the harvest?" Demeter asked calmly, but sternly?\

Akira kneeled and bowed his head in respect.

"My goddess, I come not to pray for the health of my crops. But for aid in the fight so that they will never be destroyed." Akira

"Is that so? Speak of your plight." Demeter commanded.

"A demon seeks out to destroy all that grows. The world is in danger of falling into total rot and decay." Akira said.

"A demon you say? Has Hades finally gone off the deep end? If so tell me. NOW!" Demeter demanded all of her crops froze over in her anger.

"No, but even so I fear for your daughter's life. Persephone and even Zues are at risk from this being." Akira said

"Surely you jest. Zeus is a lustful tyrant. But he has the power to allow such." Demeter scoffed.

"I would never say such a thing as a lie or joke. I pray for you to believe me. Pray for you to aid my quest to defeat this evil. So my people can flourish and relish in the growth of your harvest." Akira said, dramatically.

Constantine rolled his eyes at the display.

"...Your eyes hold no lie….With that I believe your words." Demeter said.

There was a silence between the two as Demeter was left in thought.

"I have decided. I will aid you in this fight. If you indeed speak the truth I cannot allow my daughter to die...I….couldn't live with it. If you speak of lies...I'll send you to the deepest pit of the underworld." Demeter said the air turned as cold as her stare.

"Then I have nothing to fear." Akira said.

"Then the contract has been sealed~." Demeter said warmly. An almost motherly smile was on her. Her green eyes shined as she held Akira's head up gently. Her entire figure glowing and warming him as plants and poppets grew all over her figure.

"My Trickster. You will be my newest harvest. You shall grow healthy and strong enough to defeat thy enemies. I am Thou, Thou art I~. I will fight for your life, my Harvest." She said sweetly. Her figure shined and turned into a mask. Akira took it.

"It's weird seeing that shit. Ya sure ya don't want me to teach ya actual summoning spells?" Constantine asked.

"I think I'm good." Akira smirked.

Rain

The sky was covering in an endless grey hue, light rain came down fast, trickling down the buildings. All the Teen Titans were sitting in Tim's apartment looking at the mess of threads and pins connecting photos and papers. They were looking over the giant map of Gotham that showed all possible places the Phantom Thieves could be hiding out.

"They should be striking soon. Last night Anarky gave them a list, saw some Amazons instead of any other teammates aside from Joker." Aqualad said.

"They're spreading out. Using their numbers to clear more areas." Nightwing said.

"Why don't we all just do a mass investigation? Wouldn't it be easier that way?" Wonder Girl asked.

"We need to retain our covers. Plus Batman would never allow us to go running around as our superhero selves." Miss Martian said.

"Speaking of which report. Anything?" Nightwing asked.

"Police have nothing, everyone's in a panic about the exposed police squad. A lot are not so subtly thinking they are next." Miss Martian said.

"My school has nothing but gossip. Nothing concrete." Kid Flash said.

"Same" Beast Boy said.

"What about King Tut. Anything?" Nightwing asked.

"Nothing of note. Couple of robberies here, couple of drug deals there. Besides Batman's hunch nothing." Wonder Girl said.

"King Tut has very sparse appearances, Cleopatra is the one calling all the shots." Superboy grunted.

"Grunts saying he's using that time to summon power or something." Kid Flash said.

"The guy is now one of the three main mob bosses, but doesn't make any power plays." Red Robin wondered.

"I say we charge the place and unmask him. My money's on Batman's hunch." Robin growled.

"We need proof. We only have enough to arrest him for all the mob plotting." Red Robin said.

"It is all too convenient though. They have an inside man to the mob and they now have an entire network of Gotham's worst telling them everything." Nightwing said.

"What we need is to eliminate a quadrant or two. Close the perimeter down and back them into a corner." Aqualad said.

"I agree, we're close to doing that with Old Gotham. Burnley and the Diamond District were both eliminated from suspicion. The coventry is being more combed over however with the recent developments at My Alibi Nightclub." Red Robin.

Dick's comm rang, he picked it up.

"Nightwing here." Dick said.

"Dick...We need to talk." Donna said.

"Donna...where've you been?" Dick asked.

"Cloak and Dagger. But I'll explain everything once I get there. Where are you?" Donna said.

Dick sent the coordinates.

"Donna...do you know what's going on with the Amazons?" Dick asked.

"...I'll be there shortly…" Donna hung up.

"What was that about?" Beast Boy asked.

"Donna has something. Something big." Nightwing said.

"What do we do Dick? Everything we have tried so far has failed. Our covers have bared no fruit, and finding a target does not mean we can stop what they plan to do." Starfire asked.

"Nothing we can do at the moment, Star. Like it or not, we have to wait out to see if Fate finds anything. We stay hidden in our covers, see if anyone does something funny. Hyde let me know when the Thieves come back to Anarky." Nightwing ordered.

"I fear they are on to me. Joker was very clear about his mistrust of Anarky's group. It could be nothing, but I will have to get even closer to Anarky to hear anything about their plans." Aqualad said.

"Same with us and Tut. Cleopatra takes no shit, and keeps everyone at arm's length in terms of planning." Kid Flash said.

"You are just a grunt to her Wally. But then again, it's not like she's a conversationalist with me either." Wonder Girl sighed.

"Just get as deep in as you can. And don't overlook the school's yet, especially where teens gather. They may be efficient, they may be elusive, but they are still teens...just like us." Red Robin said.

"I've tired everyone, started a fanclub and all that. Nothing…" Beast boy said.

"Fan club is too obvious, what about you Terra?" Nightwing asked.

"My school has nothing. The newsroom is more after Ryder. Sally wants his head bad. I'll keep an eye on her and the execs in case they do stupid." Terra said.

"Alright, anyone else?" Nightwing asked.

The room was filled with silence.

"I guess we'll have to see if Donna has anything. I'll wait here with Tim. Robin, go ahead and do the usual rounds. Rest of your, keep your heads down and your noses clean. The sewer fight might happen again tonight so be alert." Nightwing said.

The group nodded and left the room.

Dick heard a knock at the door. While waiting he was helping Tim with his mapping of possible locations, in other words...bored out of his mind.

He opened up to find Donna...and…

"Cy? What are you doing here?" Dick asked.

The big man was using his hologrammed design to hide his obvious oddities.

"Donna commed me. Said every Titan had to hear what she had to say. Though said she hasn't told me a single word." Cy barked at Donna, who kept a calm demeanor.

"What is it then?" Red Robin asked.

"Call everyone here please. This intel that relates to us all. Everyone. That includes Raven." Donna said.

"How did you know-" Tim asked.

"Questions later. Just do it." Donna said.

Dick did as requested and soon everyone was there including Batgirl, Oracle, and Robin.

"What is this? Talk!" Robin shouted.

"Why didn't you just call me up in the Clocktower?" Oracle asked.

"Why didn't you-" Kid Flash tried.

"Enough. What I'm about to say can not be heard until the morning. Especially not to Batman. Got it?" Donna asked.

"You don't order me around I-" Robin started to bark.

"GOT IT?!" Donna yelled back.

Silence filled the room.

"I'll watch him. What is it?" Nigtwing asked.

"You asked me earlier about if I had intel on the defecting Amazons. I have more...I have intel direct from the Phantom Thieves." Donna said.

"Wait WHAT?!" Beast boy shouted.

"How?" Red Robin asked.

"I think we know how. She was clearly spying as one of the Amazons." Aqualad said.

"Yes." Donna confirmed.

"How long?" Miss Martian asked.

"Since May 14th." Donna said.

"So you were there when-" Terra began.

"I was there for everything. I was in the sewers, at the hideouts, even in Hell." Donna revealed.

"WHAT AND YOU DIDN'T HELP RAVEN?!" Beast Boy yelled.

"That was before I knew about that particular variable. I apologize." Donna said.

"Just tell me. Where they are, what they're planning. Now" Raven said cooly.

"I need you to promise something first. All of you." Donna said.

"NO TELL US NOW!" Robin began to fume. Red Robin was quick to hold him in a grip with his mouth shut.

"Please continue." Nightwing sweated.

"I need you...to...to help them." Donna said.

The whole room erupted, in murmurs, gasps, and silent fury.

"Help them? Help terrorists, criminals, wards of the new Demon Lord?!" Raven said furious.

"Raven...I know it's hard to believe. If not for the lasso of truth given to me...I would not believe it...but I've confirmed they are not terrorists, nor looking to overthrow the world. They simply wish to change it." Donna said.

"You had the lasso of truth… Wonder Woman gave it to you?" Wonder Girl asked.

"Yes. In fact the entire Amazon race has been called upon. Not just those few you've witnessed. Joker has swayed Athena to his cause with the one from his world. My god has called upon us both to judge them fairly." Donna said.

"Why? Why would Wonder Woman even humor this. Satanael is a threat! We should all be afraid of him for what he did to my father!" Raven screamed, the entire room shaking from her emotions.

"Raven...Our goddess, the goddess that gave us a home...she called upon us begging for us to see this through with our own eyes. How could she ignore such a call?" Donna asked, calmly.

"The Amazons threw away mileena of hatred of man. For a single call. Despite the fact that Joker was working with Ares right in front of their eyes?" Aqualad asked.

"Not work. Summon, Joker now has full control of both Ares and Athena. It didn't stop there, he also summoned Sataneal." Donna said.

"WHAT?!" Raven screamed.

"You're saying...that Joker has full control of not only the Amazons, but the entire plain of hell." Donna said.

"You have to be joking. No one is that powerful. And if they were there's no way we can trust them." Red Robin said.

"It's true. In fact Heaven's not far behind. Joker has summoned a Messiah and Virgin Mary as well. Though from what I've heard it's not yet a confirmed alliance." Donna said.

"This is...This is crazy. Something this big, I gotta tell the League!" Cyborg shouted.

"Diana said she called a meeting for tomorrow morning. I don't see the point in that other than gossip." Donna said.

"The power to summon such powerful gods is indeed unnerving. However, what does that say about the one they claim holds them hostage?" Aqualad asked.

"While I have not seen this being, I can confirm that he is indeed real. Joker and his group all seize up at the mere mention of him. That terrified gaze in someone as powerful as Joker can not be faked." Donna said.

"I need something more valid than a look." Superboy mumbled.

"I already said I've used the lasso of truth on him. Despite this he has been very up front and transparent. He always claims he has nothing to hide, but despite that I used the lasso frequently to be sure. Everything the Phantom Thieves say the stand for, everything they claim. It's all true." Donna said.

"T-that can't be. Sataneal can't have meant his offer to me. I refuse to believe it!" Raven barked.

"I cannot force you to. But these are the facts. The truth. I am aware that Batman has claimed that what the Phantom Thieves spell does is mind control that is also untrue. They say what they mean. They simply take the distorted desires." Donna said.

"I don't get it. How does that work?" Beast Boy asked.

"The process is very complex. But put simply, once they steal a heart from a person, their distorted desires are stolen with it. With that gone, guilt of one's past actions takes all priority over anything else. To make a long story short, the actions taken by the changed are completely genuine and of their own choosing. The decisions they make are of their own free will." Donna said.

"That doesn't explain Hatter. He was completely insane, unable to control himself. How does that process cure mental illness as well?" Nightwing asked.

" It would seem mental illness would also fall into the category of distorted desires. Like I said it's a very complex spell that they do. Even with it explained multiple times it's hard to grasp." Donna said.

"I suppose that's true. But one thing bothers me." Red Robin said.

"Yes?" Donna asked.

"If this is all true why haven't they gone after bigger players? They've targeted Joker, why haven't they acted?" Red Robin asked.

"Ah, that's simple. Joker told me they need a set of key words for the spell. The location of the distortion, what the target views it as, and most importantly..the target's name." Donna said.

"I see. And since Joker's name is shrouded in mystery…" Red Robin mumbled.

"Are you saying that given the right intel, a guy like fricken Joker can be taken down?" Kid Flash asked.

"Yes." Donna said.

"Well then sign me the hell up!" Beast Boy cheered.

"BEAST BOY! You can't be serious! They work with literal demons!" Raven fumed.

"Well, I mean that's true. But the way Donna put it, they actually have control over them. And by the way she said it got me thinking why didn't the demons kill us in the sewers?" Beast Boy asked.

"..." Raven was quiet.

"That's true. They had the opportunity to truly kill us that night. Yet they didn't. That speaks volumes." Aqualad nodded.

"Plus the fact Donna believes them...I...You're always certain before making decisions like this. Not to mention Wonder Woman's on board." Wonder Girl said.

Robin, fighting more furiously than ever, managed to get free of Red Robin's hold.

"IDIOTS! ALL OF YOU!" Robin roared.

"Damien please-" Red Robin tried.

"Shut the fuck up! This traitor is trying to sway you before the League is even told any of this! Not to mention that bullshit about genuine actions!" Robin barked.

"Oh? You call me a traitor? Then arrest me now." Donna challenged.

"H-hey guys. Let's not blow this out of proportion. We should think of this logically." Cyborg tried to mediate.

"I am being logical. There is no way on Earth my mother would willingly work with those wannabes. She would rather die a million times over than work with a group of teenagers!" Robin yelled.

"We all know Taila has what falls under distorted disairs. Could they have not done that?" Aqualad asked.

"They didn't." Donna said.

"Hmm?" Miss Martian asked.

"Talk. Now." Robin said, voice filled with venom.

"There was no way I could avoid this. But I will speak frankly and bluntly. The reason Taila joined was out of fear and torment, Trigon in an act of rebellion subjected her to something before Joker got a hold of her. That's what led to her betrayal of the League of Assassins." Donna said, sadly.

Silence filled the room at that.

"I'll kill them. I'm going to fucking kill them." Robin hissed.

"Damian no. We can't allow-" Red Robin tried.

"Shut the fuck up. All of you. They let my mother be tortured. A demon to do who knows what to her mind. They'll pay all of them! NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY YOU WON'T STOP ME!" Robin roared.

He made a run for the window and burst through it. His heart fueled with endless hatred.

"Damian no!" Starfire tried to catch him. But it was all for not.

"Shit DAMIAN!" Red Robin was about to go after him. Nightwing put a hand on his shoulder.

"Let him go. There's no changing his mind." Nightwing said.

"As it should be! Even if they have the best of intentions there is no way on Earth they can contain Trigon! Let alone the trillions of damned souls that seek to destroy the world they hate." Raven hissed.

"Satanael defeated him in battle and earned his rank as Demon Lord Raven. How do you think he could overthrow him? All the demons fear him, worship him even." Donna said.

"I think it's a matter of time before they try to overthrow him. If you actually think these Thieves who are no older than us can hold back that mad man then-" Raven was about to rant.

"Let me shift perspective then. Will you let such a thing happen?" Donna asked.

"Of course not that's why we must capture them and-" Raven tried.

"And then what happens Raven? We're right back to where we started. Trigon will rule, managing to take over Hell without Satanael's grasp. With that he'll be able to now access the mortal world without you as the bridge. How long do you think it will be before Trigon invades and kills billions?" Donna scolded.

"Whoa...Whoa...um...That's.." Kid Flash stammered.

"Completely predictable. There is a reason I forgave that act. Joker manages to put Trigon on a leash and you all just want to release him?! Have you all gone mad?!" Donna challenged.

"But his grip is slipping Donna. If we don't act soon. Trigon might do just that." Aqualad said.

"Which is why we help them. Unless you have a better idea to stop such a thing Raven." Donna said.

"I...I… Grrrr AHHHH!" Raven screamed, papers swishing all around in her anger.

"Whoa Rae! Calm down! She's...she's right." Wonder Girl said.

"There has to be a better way. THERE HAS TO! IT'S THEIR FAULT FOR OPENING THE PORTAL IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Raven said, in denial.

"I can't think of anything. We've tried multiple times and failed. So has the League." Red Robin said.

"Despite their faults, it could be a way to finally put Hell at peace." Miss Martian said.

"Exactly so-" Donna was interrupted

"However...Perhaps what is needed is a leash of sorts on them as well. Or in fact taking the leash from them entirely." Red Robin said.

"What?" Donna asked.

"Despite everything you say. There is one thing that takes priority. They may control Hell, they may control the Amazons….They may be very powerful...but they are still being held hostage." Red Robin said.

"You're right. Their captor could suddenly change their mind on the direction of things. They said they are being threatened to follow orders or people they love may die. What would stop them from starting to kill billions if we side with them?" Aqualad asked.

"But isn't it worth the risk? Of being able to calm Hell itself? To be able to finally stop psychopaths like Joker from killing hundreds of people?" Wonder Girl asked.

"I don't think so." Superboy said simply.

"I agree. That's really what it comes down to. We can trust their words that they mean well. But ultimately...they are not in control of their actions. The best course of action is to apprehend and take control in their stead. It's the only way to be safe." Miss Martian said solemnly.

"But…" Donna tried.

"Ultimately, it is not up to us anyway. The League will have the final say on what actions we will take. And as Megan put it, I think it's clear what we have to do." Aqualad said.

"No. This is a mistake! We can't let a chance to change the world like this just be imprisoned forever!" Donna screamed.

"Who said forever? It's just until we find the guy who captured them right?" Kid Flash asked.

"Yeah right. We all know how this will go. We'll say that but Batman will be too cautious, too paranoid. That they'll be corrupted by their power, that we'll be unable to stop them once they reach that level." Donna growled.

"I for one completely agree with that paranoia." Red Robin said.

"I, as well." Aqualad said.

Superboy and Miss Martian nodded in agreement.

"Cass, Barb you've been quiet. What do you think?" Nightwing asked Batgirl and Oracle.

"I will follow my Sensei's judgement to the grave. I will not follow a group that I barely know." Batgirl said simply.

"I'll be forever grateful for what they did for my mother. But this is the only way. Alibaba alone could be a threat to Watchtower security." Oracle said.

"Star?" Nightwing asked.

Starfire went through the motions of the entire story. She remained mostly silent through the whole thing.

"I...I… I cannot say. I see both sides of the argument. But both sound too risky to pursue. Perhaps a discourse to meet common ground between them and us is needed. If they hold true, glorious! If they don't we take care of the issue." Starfire bit her thumb in thought,

"A discourse with the League is a discourse with Batman. He'll demand the name or appearance of the captor. And whatever the captor is planning will be ruined, thus people will die." Donna said.

"But what if we do it? Nothing breaks the rules that way." Beast Boy argued.

"That's exactly what I was trying to get you all to understand." Donna said.

"Well, if that's the case...We must overlook them then. I agree with Donna, putting a lid on something that could do this much good! Think of all the loss we could prevent!" Starfire said remembering Ann's words.

"Is there anyone here who will help me then? I know it's doubtful, I know it's risky. But we must have faith. Have faith in them, watch over them to make sure they don't fall. Because if we don't...the war on crime will never end." Donna practically begged.

Wonder Girl looked at the woman she idolized, the woman she so desperately wanted to be like beg for her help...and she just had to. She had to step up.

"I...I will help you. One Wonder Girl to another." Wonder Girl said softly.

"Me too. The idea that they could do something like that is too good to pass up. What do you think Terra?" Beast Boy asked, grinning.

Terra was lost in thought at the mention of actual change of wicked people. No one on the Titan's team truly trusted her. And they had reason to, Slade had her keep tabs on them, promising control over her powers in return. There was only Beast Boy who through it all put his faith into her. Ultimately, she couldn't trust the League, she couldn't trust the Titans, and she most definitely couldn't trust Slade. All wish to use her in some form or another, only Beast Boy offered any true friendship and he was leaving…

"I...um...I.." Terra started.

Nightwing narrowed his eyes at her while she thought. No matter which side she chose she couldn't be trusted. She had dead giveaways to her conflictions and betrayal. No matter what he would have to keep an eye on her.

Terra thought of the future in which she actually enacted Slade's plan. Or stayed with the Titan's. Both left her with intense feelings of loss and loneliness. But what if...the Phantom Thieves...could change Slade?

"I'll….I'll go." Terra said hesitantly.

"Woo yeah! I knew you'd see it my way!" Beast Boy said.

"I will go as well. If not anything else offers the hand in help they so clearly beg for." Starfire said.

Nightwing then pulled her out of the room and into the outside rain, for some privacy.

"Aw man, lover spat." Wonder Girl said, trying to bring some levity into the tense room.

"Who else is with me? Wally, Cyborg?" Donna asked.

"To be honest? I have no idea...I'll have to think about it and hear Batman's side and Wonder Woman's side as well. This is...a complex issue and I want to consider everything." Cyborg sighed.

"I understand. Wally?" Donna turned to Kid Flash who was tapping his foot superfast in thought.

"Hm….*groans* Fuck it." Wally pulled out a coin and flipped it.

"Call it." Kid Flash said.

"Heads." Donna said.

Kid Flash caught the coin with his eyes closed and slapped it on the back of his hand.

He looked.

"Welp. Looks like I'm in." Kid Flash shrugged.

"Are you serious?! After everything, you just flip a coin!? WHAT WRONG WITH YOU?!" Raven screamed.

"Listen...Rae...I'll be the last to admit it but...I ain't the best thinker, I run in guns blazing. That's my style. This shit is too complex, there's too much for me to keep track of, and most of all...I honestly toned out halfway through. But I trust Donna and I trust Tim in their thoughts...both are like family to me… I couldn't possibly choose between them...So I...let the coin fall where it laid." Kid Flash admitted.

"You idiot! You jackass! That's what it comes down to!" Raven roared.

"Raven...a word?" Donna asked.

Raven was steaming. Furious, half of the Titans split in half over these...these monsters!

"No!" Raven shouted.

I beg of you...After everything we've been through. I want to talk this through...prove myself to you...woman to woman." Donna said.

Raven was still fuming but after every little thing that infuriated her, caused her to want to pull out hair...Donna was still a sister to her…

"mmmmmMMMM! Fine!" Raven stomped off to a private followed and closed the door behind her.

"I know you're mad at me. Feel like I have thrown everything we've been through away…" Donna said.

"How could you do this Donna. Do you know how long I've been tormented by him? How long have I been crying myself asleep over what I am?! And now you want me to help them! HELP! A group that overthrew Hell for their own means! NOT A CHANCE!" Raven yelled.

"How many times have you lost control Raven? How many times have you almost killed one of us in your unstable emotional state?!" Donna retorted, going with the tough love approach.

"HOW DARE YOU!? That's why you did it?! TO TRY AND CONTROL ME?!" Raven hissed.

"No...I did it...because I love you. I did it because I love you enough to tell you...you can't keep living like this. Pushing others away, sealing yourself in your room...forever afraid of...yourself…" Donna said softly.

"I can fix it by myself...I won't allow them to use me...not again!" Raven growled.

"What did Satanael say to you to make you believe that claim?" Donna asked.

Raven thought back to that night, the night she thought she would surely die. And…

"You are now free to do what you wish for eternity. As long as I live Trigon will not get his hands on you or your friends…" The voice of Satanael boomed in her head.

"Tell me Raven. Tell me what he said." Donna said sternly.

"Living millenia teaches these old bones a few things, like what truly matters. Humanity must live if we are to survive...But you..you have seen it first hand haven't you? How strong and true bonds strengthen the will of a fighter, the will of rebellion." The voice boomed again.

"Shut up! It can't be true. IT CAN'T BE!" Raven yelled.

"If they want to use you they would have done it already. Think Raven. They don't need you as a portal anymore, they haven't allowed a demon to kill anyone in the mortal realm. You were alone with the very Demon Lord you wish to defy...yet...he didn't kill you. Why?" Donna asked.

"The one forcing the Phantom Thieves hand. He must be stopped at all costs. Petty squabbles of morality be damned." The great Demon Lord spoke

"You've...said that they don't want this war...Is that true? Can that really be? Is Joker truly in control of Satanael?" Raven asked softly.

"Yes. I swear it on my life, soul, and dignity. They were genuine about everything they have said to you. Even the offer…" Donna said.

"To...help me? No...they must be lying...it must be a trick." Raen shook her head.

"Please...Raven...Believe me. Believe the lasso of truth. Believe in Wonder Woman. Believe in the Phantom Thieves. Don't run away from the truth." Donna said, pleading.

Those words echoed in Raven's mind. The same words the Demon Lord told her. To not run away from the truth.

"I beg you...As a hero, as a warrior, as a sister...please...please come with me. I don't want you to suffer anymore. I don't want you to be afraid. That's why you must come with me...to face your fears...and overcome them." Donna begged, tears starting to roll down her face.

"Donna...Donna...I...I.." raven said as tears began to gather.

"I will protect you, we all will...against all odds should they're words prove false. Come with me. And let me show you there is nothing to be scared of." Donna said reaching out her arms.

They stood there like that for what seemed like hours. Raven going through a roller coaster of emotions. After everything they have been through...after everything Donna has heard and witnessed with her struggles with Trigon...why would she do this if she wasn't absolutely sure...certain...giving the Phantom Thieves her whole trust and loyalty.

"Please…" Donna said again, on the verge of sobbing.

Raven slowly, with her arms crossed as if to protect herself, walked to her. Each step she had to fight the doubt in her mind, the years of pain and torment. Until...until..

She was surrounded by Donna's warm embrace. The tears openly flowing between the two heroes, between the two sisters…

"Promise me…*sobs* Please...promise me...that this isn't all a trick...a ploy for him to use me again…" Raven begged as she returned the hug, digging her nails into Donna's back in desperation.

"I swear it to you. I would rather die than that happen. The Phantom Thieves feel the same way." Donna whispered in Raven's ear. The half demon girl cried and cried, her emotions causing the whole room to shake and throw things everywhere. Donna stroked Raven's hair, letting her get it all out, not daring to tell her to hold it in like she has for so long.

They stayed there alone for a good while.

Meanwhile, outside the apartment…

"Star. Think about this. What about Zatanna? What about Constantine? Working with them is choosing to work for an evil that exceeds all knowledge!" Nightwing argued, trying to persuade his lover.

"Dick. Do you remember way back in the beginning of this. When you showed me them one by one being taken control over...crying begging for the pain to stop. How could I not go? How could I ignore what is a clear cry for a hero to save them?" Starfie asked passionately.

"I...I…" Nightwing stammered.

Starfire put her hands on his cheeks looking into his soul.

"Look into your heart my love. Can you truly live with innocents like that be imprisoned for crimes they had no choice but to commit?" Starfire whispered.

"B-Bruce gave me everything,...gave me a home. A reason to keep living." Nightwing whispered back.

"He did not give you your heart. I love him like you do...but he is clearly in the wrong about all this. Caution, paranoia, and despair is overtaking his being from all this. I can see it in his eyes. I can see it in his actions, like when he beat his child in a fit of ego." Starfire whispered.

Nightwing flinched at that, he told her that in private. And here she was bringing it back.

"I fear he is falling deeper into the pits than he did with the loss of your brother. We must show him the light my love. We must show him hope." Starfie whispered.

"He won't see it as that. He'll see it as betrayal. He'll see it as...losing another son." Nightwing said, gravely.

"You are nothing like what happened with Jason. If he fails to see that, if he fails to see how his son chose with the morality he taught, to help these Thieves…" Starfire shook her head.

"Star…*sighs* I'll...I'll...I'll do it. If nothing else, because I love you. Because I believe in your judgment." Nightwing said.

Starfire pulled him into a tender and sweet kiss.

"I will prove myself worthy of that then~" Starfire said, their faces inches apart.

After a tender moment between the two. Both headed back inside.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

"So...Have we all decided…" Nightwing asked, calmly but inside he knew this was the last night they would be together like this.

Donna and Raven entered the room, Donna had an arm of comfort around her shoulder.

"Yes...what is the final verdict?" Donna asked.

"All in favor of helping the Phantom Thieves?" Nightwing asked, half of the hands were raised.

"All opposed?" Nightwing asked. The other half raised their hands.

"Right down the middle. Figures." Nightwing sighed.

Everyone looked at Cyborg. Who hadn't voted at all, like it or not as a League member he had the most speaking power among the rest of them.

"Cyborg. You are the deciding vote." Aqualad said.

"Decide...whether or not...we arrest them…" Red Robin turned his head to the side, not wanting to look them in the eye when he said that.

"I...I can't do that...I can't choose between the two of you guys. We're a team...a family...I...I can't be responsible for tearing that apart. I abstain." Cyborg said, depressed.

"Then it comes down to the rest of the League to decide. You have until morning, that vote will decide...whether or not this is an act of defiance against them…" Oracle said, sadly.

"It can't come to that. Wonder Woman won't let it come to that." Wonder Girl said, desperately.

"You are now aligning yourself with what has been called a terrorist organisation. Whether they are or not is irrelevant. The League will decide with the information given...whether or not they'll uphold that claim." Aqualad said.

"*chuckles nervously* That's...that's really heavy man." Beast Boy said.

"Red Robin will now be the go to for leadership. Watch over them...take care of Damian, Tim." Nightwing said as he walked to the door.

"I know about that fight between him and Batman, Dick. That still doesn't make me want to walk out on him." Red Robin said.

"That's not the only reason and you know it." Nightwing said.

"Don't let your love of Star cloud your judgment." Red Robin said.

Nightwing looked at him...and growled.

"Believe it or not, I didn't choose this because we're fucking. I chose it because I trust her, because she's right. Bats is falling off the deep end with this. You weren't there then Tim. You weren't there to see the pain in his eyes while we buried Jason." Nightwing said.

"But I helped him during his recovery, where were you?" Red Robin retorted.

"In mourning." Nightwing left with that, the group that sided with him followed.

The room felt more and more empty as half of the people left.

"What now?" Miss Martian asked sadly.

"We should follow them. Use them to track the Phantom Thieves down and-" Aqualad began.

"No." Red Robin said simply.

"Batman will be infuriated." Aqualad argued.

"He's going to be anyway. I won't hunt them down until the rest of the League weighs in. They are still our family Kal." Red Robin said.

"Very well." Aqualad crossed his arms.

Red Robin went up to the grand board of strings and photos of what he found on the Phantom Thieves. To think it would come to this. To split his family like this.

"I will follow Batman until the end. But for once...I'm afraid of what his orders will be." Batgirl said.

"Find Damian. He isn't thinking straight right now. Make sure he doesn't do something stupid." Red Robin said.

Batgirl nodded and left the apartment.

Oracle decided to leave and prepare herself for a long night with Bruce being worse than he usually is. She dreaded it, it made her anxious...maybe...maybe Akira would let her watch Mona tonight...that would make her feel better.

Outskirts of Gotham

Severe Thunderstorms

Robin ran furiously in search of his mother. The rage made him see red and forget all else but to hunt the bastards who tortured her down. He didn't care about any of the bullshit that bitch Donna spewed out of her mouth. He didn't care about all the team's stupid feelings about each other. He didn't care that the Phantom Thieves are doing this against their will. None of that shit mattered.

They were going down. He'll make sure they'll never see daylight again. Actually fuck that, if he could somehow manage to convince his father, he'd kill them all without a second thought.

He arrived at a hideout his mother used to use before she handed him off to his father. He remembered her loving nature that she used to use on him. The calming voice that made everything alright. Despite everything she has done to him...he still loved her…

He entered the building trying to find anything that she might have left behind.

"Hello my son." A voice echoed.

Robin looked around for it and saw his mother come out of the shadows.

"I knew you would come here. Just like I knew you would believe a single word from the Amazon's mouth." Taila said as she sat on a table.

"Mother, come with me. I know what they did to you, but we can stop them." Robin said.

"Oh? Mention that did she? It was quite an experience, I have never felt such fear, such dread. Even your grandfather lacks in comparison." Taila said, smiling at the memories.

"Then help me beat them! They can't beat us with you on our side! Come with me to father and we'll-" Robin started.

"You were always such a disappointment Damian." Taila said stopping him in his tracks.

"I...I know but I'm trying to make up for-"

"You always fail to see what I want you to see. I sent you to your father to show how much of a fool he is for believing that his justice will solve anything. Yet despite that, you chose to side with him instead of my father...such a waste." Talia said coldly.

"I respect Grandfather for his tactics but to kill that many innocents is-"

"Silence. It doesn't matter anymore. All that matters is that you correct your thinking." Taila said. She got up and walked towards her son.

"Mother, come with me, father and I can protect you from-"

Taila slapped his face hard.

"Do I look like I need protection boy, I taught you everything you know. What do you think you could possibly do against them? Hm?" Taila asked, voice filled with venom.

"They are weak, idiotic, and also-"

SLAP

"Do not speak of my Master in that way, boy. I would cut you down right here, if not for his order." Taila hissed.

"M-MASTER?! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS THE LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS COULD EASILY-"

Talia took a swing with her katana to Robin's midsection, he dodged and rolled to the side.

"My father wishes he holds such power. My master may be a mere child, but he is right about one thing…" Talia said.

"What could that possibly be?!" Damian barked in defiance.

"Both my father, and my beloved...are both fools who constantly fail to truly enact change. Despite his foolish morality, Master offers results, actual results that could change this world for the better. And yet you have the gall to speak ill of him?! You disgust me." Talia hissed.

"Mother please. Listen to me...these children can't possibly-"

Taila swiped at Daiman again, they matched blow for blow, until Talia got the upper hand and managed to swipe a little cut on Damian's cheek. The blood started to flow slowly down.

"It is you who are the true child. Who naively thought running to his mother, like a babe in search of milk, would have any effect on my standing. I now know where my loyalty goes. To my master, the ultimate Trickster, and ward to the great Satanael. All will bow before him and his might. Now for once and your life, submit to the truth and swear yourself to the true holder of justice." Talia hissed. Her sword now at Damian's throat as she won the battle.

"I would rather die." Damian hissed right back.

Talia glared at her disappointment of a son, Damian returned it to his abusive mother. She should kill him right here, right now if she truly thinks he should work for such filth.

"Then you are dead to me." Talia said as she put away her sword.

"You're not going to kill me? Like you would with Grandfather?" Robin challenged.

"My master is not my father, boy. His methods are different, as is his outlook. You should be grateful for his kindness, foolish as it may be. You should get down on your knees and lick his booth for forgiveness of such arrogance." Taila said as she started to walk away.

"I'll kill him...I'll kill them all and prove that they are wrong." Damian hissed.

"You are too weak to do such a thing. And so is anyone else of this world. Pray...he does not change his mind...and sets my sights on you. I tried to convince you, like I knew he would want. But, just as I expected...you are nothing but a failure." Talia said as she walked away, leaving her son to his rage.

Damian swore on his life that he'll prove the Phantom Thieves to be nothing but the scum they are.

Park Row, Church (PT Hideout)

Severe Thunderstorm

Donna led the team she gathered to the tall church. She made sure multiple times that they were not followed. She knew they wouldn't be, be she had to be sure.

They all entered the building. It was completely empty, but the past murder scene that took place was scrubbed totally clean.

"This is the place?" Kid Flash asked.

"Yes, I ordered them to remain hidden should we be followed. My Amazon sisters are now confirming we weren't followed.

"Seems to be going overboard." Beast Boy said.

"If they weren't going overboard, me and Red Robin would have found them by now." Nightwing said, his arms crossed.

Suddenly, multiple Phantom Stars appeared out of nowhere, all had their swords drawn and were ready to strike if this was a trap.

"There's so many." Wonder Girl sweated.

"When Athena calls, the Amazons take no chances." Donna said.

"Donna...do you swear on your life that these Titans will not betray us?" One asked.

"I swear, to my god Athena, and my pride as an Amazon" Donna said.

The Phantom took off her mask to reveal Antiope.

"Never thought I'd see you in leather ma'am" Wonder Girl sweated.

"It is...a thing I wouldn't normally do Cassandra. But circumstances call for it." Antiope sighed.

"I take it the Queen herself is you too?" Wonder Girl asked.

"Yes, Athena would have called you as well as Donna. But she feared without proof you might tell everyone." Antiope said.

"I get it. Gods were always weird when it came to me." Wonder Girl said.

"So where are they? Not even a hello?" Nightwing raised an eyebrow.

Antiope glared at that, before she whistled loudly, all members of the Phantom Thieves revealed themselves.

"You called?" Joker smirked.

"About half, more than I was expecting." Crow said.

"Still think you're a psychopath." Terra said.

"Nothing new, be grateful I didn't instinctively aim for your heart." Crow grinned wickedly.

"I'm still mad about what you said about my mom." Skull grumbled at Nightwing.

"I'm sorry alright? I just knew from your whole aura you were a momma's boy. Nothing personal." Nightwing rolled his eyes.

"So...does this mean you'll help us? Even though Bruce is your dad?" Panther poked her two fingers together.

"Let's just say if Donna is wrong about this. I'll kick all your asses easily." Nightwing said.

"If that's the case what do we have to fear." Joker said, he removed his mask.

"Akira Kurusu. Dimension traveler, Leader of the Phantom Thieves." Akira said.

"The cat owner? Oracle is gonna hate me for this. That's how you got in isn't it? The cat's fucking magic too." Nightwing grumbled.

"Yup. Impressed?" Mona swung his arms back and forth.

"Star, remind me never to take in pets." Nightwing sighed.

"I'll be sure of it my love." Star said.

"So...what now?" Violet asked.

"Now? Now I'm gonna have to keep your secrets and all that jazz. Same for everyone else here. Doesn't matter what the League says anymore now. With Selina, Talia and now Oracle compromised it's too personal for Bruce to lay off. You really had to rattle the hornet's nest huh?" Nightwing said.

"Didn't have much of a choice Dick. Like you said, nothing personal." Akira said.

"He will not see it that way, I assure you." Nightwing said.

"I know. Got the scars to prove it. So we have a deal or not?" Akira asked, holding a hand out.

"Do not make me regret this. I'm putting a lot on the line for you. And you better fucking take out Joker the second you have the right keywords." Nightwing shook his hand reluctantly.

"With pleasure." Joker smirked.

Otisburg, King Tut's Abandoned Hideout

Rain

The sun has set, but to Gotham the clouds just got darker. A squadron of Joker's henchmen were securing the last known hideout of King Tut.

"Fucking nothing. That cop's info was old." Frowns said scratching underneath his clown mask.

"Hehehehe kill….Let me kill him…" Chuckles laughed insanely. Frowns rolled his eyes, Joker always went after the loons.

"Fine...this is the last one of the week. We're too hot on the streets as it is." Frowns relented.

Chuckles enjoyed the man's last screams, crying this and that about having a family. No one cared as Chuckles went to work.

"Why we gotta work for Harley anyway? Bitch barely knows left from right." Red grumbled.

"Cause if we don't Joker kills us." Honks said blankly, checking the sights of his gun.

"Oh right." Red said dumbly.

"Just be glad you weren't the bastard she knocked the lights out of last night. That girl can be just as deadly." Crook said.

"Right, like she will skin a man alive...seen Joker do that once." Giggles said.

"You're full of shit." Green scoffed.

"Naw man, I was with him to see it. Still can't sleep good." Baggs shivered.

"Hmph. Pussy." Hexx laughed.

"Fuck you man!" Baggs barked back.

Radio chatter was heard through one of their comms.

"Shut the fuck up. Quinn's callin'" Yucks, the leader of the squadron yelled.

Unknown to the group a figure had just entered the building, he had tracked these clowns down, not caring what they were looking for. He just wanted to find Joker.

From the high beams of the building he listened in to the conversation, hoping to get a lead from them. He wasn't the best hacker, but managed to get into their comms.

"LISTEN UP BOZOS! THAT AKECHI KID HAS TO BE HERE SOMEWHERE! THIS TIME YA BETTA FIND EM OR IT'S YOUR HEADS! GOT IT!?" Harley shrieked.

Nice to know that hasn't changed. The figure thought as he turned his volume down. Hoping to calm his ringing ears.

"Yes ma'am. Understood." Yucks said.

"What is it?" Crook asked.

"Nothing new...but I'm starting to have doubts this Akechi kid is part of the Phantom Thieves." Yucks said.

Phantom Thieves? Never heard of em'. Then again it's been a while. Haven't heard of King Tut either but look at me now. The figure thought.

"What about the Akechi fuck?" Red asked.

"Eh, forget it. He's not here anyways. We oughta get out of here and start searching the streets." Yucks barked.

They're leaving soon. Better make an entrance. The figure cocked both of his handguns and then grappled down to a loner… He only needed one to talk...rest were disposable.

The figure snuck up behind Giggles, he tapped his shoulder.

"Hmm?" Giggles stupidly turned around.

BANG!

Giggles dropped dead from a point blank shot to the head. Shouts could be heard across the huge room.

They ain't leaving now. The figure smirked underneath his concealing mask. His whole head was covered in the equipment.

"What the fuck?! Who did that?! Report!" Yucks demanded.

Everyone chimed in to report. Everyone but one…

"GIGGLES FUCKING SAY SOMETHING!" Yucks demanded.

Nothing...the figure in the shadows was silent as he snuck up behind Honks and snapped his neck, the body thudded and the figure kept moving.

"I found him! He's dead!" Crook yelled.

"Hehehehehe. Someone's out to play~" Chuckles snickered.

"Shut the fuck up psycho! Find the freak and kill him!" Baggs yelled.

"It's Batman! It's gotta be!" Red yelled.

"Batman don't kill fuck face!" Hexx scolded.

The figure rolled his eyes as he slit Green's throat with a hand on his mouth. The figure shushed Green until he saw life leave his eyes.

He added silencers to both to his guns as he walked. From cover he took out Red and Crook. Both fell dead from clean shots.

"Ma'am! Someone is out here killing my men! Requesting support!" Yucks said.

"THE HELL YA TALkiNG ABOUT?! PENGUIN KNOWS BETTER THAN TO FUCK WITH US! AND TUT IS NOTHIN' BUT TALK!" Harley barked back.

"It's neither, at least I don't think so…" Yucks sweated.

Pew!

Baggs dropped dead from a bullet to the brain.

"Then kill em! Don't call me back till you're sure he's dead!" Harely hung up.

"Fucking bitch!" Yucks cursed. The figure walked up to him silently and put him in a choke hold.

"Newsflash bud. Joker and his sidepiece don't give a fuck about you." The figure whispered before he snapped Yucks neck.

"Hehehehe...so many dead bodies...so many not caused by me…" Chuckles giggled.

"Fuck this. I'm out!" Hexx yelled as he began to make a run for it.

"FUCKING COWARD!" Frowns yelled.

Hexx ignored him as he sprinted to the door. The minute he opened it, he exploded to pieces.

"Shit! Fuck!" Frowns screamed.

"hehehehe...Pretty…" Chuckles said.

"Fucking traps! How long have we been watched? Chuckles come here and watch my six!" Frowns yelled.

Frowns was terrified. So many dead bodies, when he turned the corner he found Chuckles clutching his throat. He was laughing even in death as he gurgled out blood.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!" Frowns yelled in a panic.

A shot ran through his leg and he collapsed in pain, dropping his gun. He tried to crawl towards it. He tried with all his might to reach for the gun, only for a bullet to go through his hand.

"AHHH!" Frowns screamed in pain, clutching his bloodied hand. The figure walked over and kicked the gun away. Frowns has never seen this fucker before. A head mask like Sionis but all red, all smooth. The man grabbed Frown's collar and held a gun to his head.

"Talk." The man demanded.

"W-Who the fuck are you?!" Frowns screamed.

"The guys who'll kill you if you don't talk!" The man pressed.

"Uh-uh...We're after the Phantom Thieves. Some dude named Akechi is rumored to be workin' for em' and AHH!" Frowns shouted in pain as he was pistol whipped.

"Does it look like I give a fuck about that?! Where's Joker?!" The man demanded.

"How the fuck should I know?!" Frowns asked.

"You work with Harely! Where does she go?!" the man pressed.

"I- She'll kill me if I tell ya that!" Frowns shouted.

The man stared him down, almost shocked at his stupidity.

"Look around ya, you dumb fuck. Why do you think I care?!" the man yelled.

"OK! OK! SHE'S IN PARK ROW LOOKING FOR THE THIEVES! JOKER CAN'T HAVE OTHER GUYS USIN' HIS NAME! ESPECIALLY KIDS!" Frowns shouted.

"Hmph. That'll do." The man said.

"S-so you'll let me go?" Frowns asked.

BANG!

"No." the man pulled up his red hood.

Frowns was dead.

Kids huh? Maybe I should have asked more about that. Can't have dead kids.

Red Hood reloaded his guns.

Who the fuck takes Joker's name? What is that kind of idiot out to prove?

Red Hood shook his head. It didn't really matter. Harley's after them and that's all that mattered. So if the Park Row intel turned up to be a bust then he had something to fall back.

Oh, I almost forgot.

Red Hood threw multiple calling cards down onto Brown's dead body. He pulled out spray paint and got to work. Now no one else will take credit, and he'll start to make a name for himself.

He grappled out of the building leaving the multiple dead bodies and a message sure to grab attention.

LET THE PUNISHMENT MATCH THE CRIME!

He'll show everyone that Batman's antiquated sense of morality is idiotic. He'll finally prove to him that these scum never learn, that Gotham can only change when every single ounce of corruption is cleansed.

But first he needed to get a lay of the land. Learn about the newcomers to the city and how it operates now.

The moment he found out Joker wasn't dead. He had decided.

I'll make you accept this Bruce. You'll have to kill me to stop me. And we both know you won't don't we? Red Hood thought bitterly.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA

Batman swooped into the building to see the bodies. Police had discovered it hours later. He narrowed his eyes at that. Joker must have bought their silence, or threatened them. Find Akechi, make him talk and hold the Phantom Thieves over his head….or worse…

But that clearly didn't go to plan. No...That was clear.

He picked up the calling card...Red Hood.

He narrowed his eyes at the name. The name was the ghost story of ghost stories. The rumored origin of Joker long ago. The worst part is that it could be true, he remembers that night clearly, way back in his early days.

And now...someone else. With a clear grudge against Joker, and himself was using the name. The message on the wall made it clear. No prints, no signs of struggle from any of the victims, except for the one splattered against the wall from an explosion.

But why here, why this group? Could it be a coincidence?

Batman narrowed his eyes, it almost never was.

That leads to three options:

One, it's a newcomer with a vengeance. Nothing new happens all the time. He was acting solo and is not connected to what the thugs were looking for.

Two: A newcomer that is connected in some way to the Phantom Thieves. An alliance, enemy, or something more complex. A person out of their control, that is either a traitor, disobedient, or simply against them.

Or they are killing behind their back, seeking their own agenda.

Which led to the third option.

Crow…

He admitted point blank that he didn't care about justice. That he just uses them to get revenge...They know that much...What's stopping him from doing it again? He saw it in his eyes. The mad dog barely resisting the will to kill.

But what would be his motive?

It was a possibility that he figured the quickest way to appease the demon, was to kill their targets.

No...no that doesn't fit at all…

So that left only the two options.

Batman's comm beeped as he walked out of the building. He pressed the button on his cowl to activate it.

"What is it?" Batman asked.

"Hello to you too Bruce. Just letting you know that there will be the monthly meeting tomorrow morning." Superman's voice rang.

"Busy." Batman said.

"Which is why I'm calling to say it's urgent. Diana said there was something to report that everyone needed to hear. You especially." Superman said.

"If it were truly urgent she would have just called. This is unlike her." Batman said.

"I am aware. Which is why I'm pressing you to show." Superman explained.

"...Fine." Batman said as he hung up.

What would Diana need the whole League to show up for? Clearly it was to make a statement to convince them all of something. Batman narrowed his eyes. Diana had something on the Amazons that must be huge. And the only thing that they could be involved with….

What are you playing at Princess? Batman thought.

Just then Robin swooped in, a look of utter and total hatred on his features.

"Father, you won't believe what your so-called 'other son' has done." Robin hissed

AN: Big thanks for my discord members for helping me with the persona choices this time round. As always linked in bio. Next chapter will be mementos run, and a lot of tension will continue to bubble. How much longer before it pops I wonder?

Also Jason Todd's here. Fire your guns in joy~!
