Thank you for your review and honest opinion!

This was my first try of writing story, and I really struggled with writing and changing POV was really challenging, but it's half the fun, and yes, I feel sometimes I drag it a bit, but I still think for the chaos that I envisioned and trying to present, it fits. I hope you continue to read and to give your honest opinion. I did change things and tweaked, so looking forward to what you think in general.

Hope you enjoy the new chapter. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts...: D

Read notes at the end :) (Marine!Lina after the end notes!)

.

.

.

Lina sighed in impatience. Ten minutes had passed, and they were still not even close to finding a solution or answering some very important questions. She began to absent-mindedly fiddle with the corner of the black cloak still resting around her body since Shanks had put it on her. Of course, she could hear Shanks correcting her gently —at least at first— Cape.

What a dork. It was clearly a cloak.

And it was too big for her. Except strangely enough it helped her keep her Cool. She hoped that Shanks was keeping his cool composure without his cape! He was already missing a cap. She was also still wearing Luffy's hat on her head. Luffy had entrusted his treasure and Shanks's treasure to her. She will keep them safe, and she … Lina abruptly cut off that thread of thought.

Time was running out, and she had to make some decisions. Like ten minutes ago. No time to twiddle her thumbs and think about her clothes. Even though the Cloak (Cape! Lina, it' E!) was comfy, she will have to ask Nami to resize it. She wasn't giving it back.

"Did we find a kill switch to stop them from activating, or better yet self destruct?" she said into the Den Den Mushi, trying to keep the impatience from her voice as it rose higher with every word. Now that she was finally hidden inside one of Whitebeard's allies' ships, with no more eyes scrutinizing her every move she didn't have to keep her voice down anymore.

"You want to destroy those masterpieces—!?"

"If we can't use them, and they can be used against us, damn right I will..." she announced, her voice leaving no room for discussion. Lina's patience had run out. They already had this conversation a few times. She wanted to know everything that was there to know about those bloody Pacifista. They were built in the image of someone that hurt her crew. If she could take one and let Franky examine it, she would, but now wasn't the time.

Thankfully, in the chaos she had created with Kizaru's abduction, some of the pirates had found some of them concealed in the underground parts of Marineford. Thanks to whichever deity responsible for Luffy's luck, it had not been activated yet, the guards were killed, and the ones who had found it chose to pass the information on to her.

As they should have..

Few voices finally murmured. "I don't know"; "No idea."; "No time to check."

She tugged her cloak (Cape!) tighter around her slides and switched gears, demanding, "is it possible to change the Pacifista targets?".

"We are still trying to figure out how they function, electronic scope and the lasers are just wow! …Whoever built this is a Genius—"

Lina resisted the strong urge to snap at the gushing speaker. To shout at him to move on from his ill-timed teenage crush. There was a war going on, with people dying all around them! Plus, he already sang the Cyborgs praises every time he opened his mouth.

"—A Mad Genius, I have never seen anything this complex that can take so much data in. I'm afraid any change we do can have consequences that we...don't want."

"You are saying that right now we can't do anything to change its function?"

"Maybe if I had a month or three...maybe..."

"Did you find anything at all…" she stressed.

"There… may be an option built in… that it goes from targeting only pirates and criminals with active bounties, to targeting everyone. Like a Buster Call..."

"Killing everyone indiscriminately, including marines?" She half asked, half said as a matter of fact. She wanted to say that she was surprised, but then she would be lying. And pushing it at that.

She had lived with her crew through the consequences of one Buster Call. Robin had experienced the unimaginable horror twice. Now, the marines had another way to unleash a massacre. This time in a more efficient way. The 'weak link' was no more. No human emotion needed to be involved.

"Ehh...yes."

"And our guest?"

His name was Sentomaru, and he was the captain of the Marines' Science Unit or something like that. This wasn't their first rodeo together. While she wasn't actually seeing him in front of her (Thank the slugs for the Den Den Mushi), they had met on Sabaody Archipelago, where he had attacked them, and unleashed one of the cyborgs on them. They had parted on less than amicable terms. Chopper had to use his monster form. She preferred not to remember their whole stay on that cursed island. It was one disaster after the other, and they still don't know what happened to their crew.

But one thing she had noted was that the stockily built man was very talkative. He had proudly announced that he was the 'most silent man in the world', and then had gone and revealed many things about Kuma and his powers. Things she had used in her plans.

"Nope, when we tried to question him, took his gag out, he tried to order the Pacifistas to attack. It was lucky that Izo acted fast and stopped him from finishing the sentence."

Lina hummed under her breath. At least Izo and Bon-chan had met with Jinbe and the others, at least something was going right.

"How many are there?"

"Pacifista? Like twenty."

She bit back a shudder at the number.

By the Grand line and Luffy's Black hole Stomach, they were planning a massacre. Once the pirates had advanced too far into the trap, they would have been surrounded by emotionless, extremely efficient killing machines.

When Lina and the others had first arrived, the marines had only unveiled a few Pacifistas, about three-to-four, against Whitebeard's allies. Likely because their reinforcements had upset Sengoku's plans a little, he had only unleashed a few at first. Once ready though, he would have called in the rest from the ocean, as well as the ones hidden in underground tunnels.

It was a good thing that she had few people keep an eye on Sentomaru. They had followed him when he had tried to disappear underground when the Fleet Admiral announced Ace's execution, and were able to stop him before any damage could be done. More of her henchmen were searching for the rest of them.

It was a smart move to use them then. It might even have worked. She shuddered to think about it.

Lina knew that the marine had a backup plan, a secret weapon, something to unleash when things get real desperate but she didn't know what it was. She had theories.

But she hadn't considered the Pacifista because they were already being used in the battle. Very shrewdly done! As expected from the Fleet Admiral. And very deadly, something that could turn the tide against them.

They would have been penned in on all sides by living weapons until everyone was dead.

Every pirate and Revolutionary here was really lucky that they were able to stop the marines from using them when they intended to, and they were able to catch the one that could give them orders (hopefully there weren't others, although Fleet Admiral Sengoku probably could).

So during all the chaos of people trying to find Kizaru, and during Doflamingo's attempts to kill her, her people had been quickly trying to figure out how they worked since then, without much success, and keeping them out of the marines hands. Given the news though, she was left with only one choice.

"I want you to destroy them."

Silence met her announcement.

"All of them?"

"But...but..."

"Those masterpieces…"

She shouldn't have sent shipwrights and engineers to examine the Pacifista. At the time it seemed like such a good idea.

"Can't we keep one? The things we could learn from it…"

Others shared their vehement agreement and enthusiasm at the idea.

"You can keep one," Lina said over their whining. The young pirate let the cheers die out, before she added. "In pieces".

She waited a moment before repeating her warning, "In tiny little pieces." She stressed, her hands clenching the cloak (Cape!).

No one said anything in return.

"Find some weak spots, and do controlled explosions. I prefer if no one found out about us taking care of the Pacifista."

They dared not risk the Navy finding out.

In response, there were a few murmurs of reluctant agreement.

"Make sure that they are destroyed completely, and hurry up!" She tried to put every bit of commanding presence she had ever had at any point of her life into her voice. She wasn't sure she succeeded. Still, she ended the call promptly.

One of the commanders would have to go supervise. She couldn't have them screwing this up but she had more important matters to attend to herself.

Distractedly, Lina wondered if she should give Ace another dose of Iva's sedative that the Okama had given her before leaving to join Jinbe and the others.

Better not to take any chances.

Lina hadn't come this far for things to go sidewise because of stupid mistake or overlooking small details.

It was almost over.

She will not be caught unprepared at the finishing line.

Purururu purururu

gacha

"Yes!" She answered hurriedly, standing up. The cloak (Cape!) got loose and slipped down her shoulder, forcing Lina to pull the cloak (Cape!) tighter around her. Everything should be moving in its designated place. Or near it at least.

"We are at the 'checkmate' point," Jinbe's voice told her. The Den Den Mushi had a deep frown, clearly mirroring the holder.

"Any major problems?"

The Den-Den Mushi's face stretched up a huge grin.

"None that Ve couldn't handle, Lina-chan," assured her Iva-chan as she grabbed hold of the Den-Den.

"Good," Lina answered. That was music —Brook's, while playing his violin— to her ears.

"Proceed as we planned!"

"Are you sure about this?" Jinbe asked, it wasn't the first time he had asked. This time his voice was more subdued and resigned, than worried and disbelieving. He added, "There's no going back after this. This is far more than Enies Lobby or Impel Down."

Lina tried to keep her voice calm as she answered. She reminded herself that snapping at people didn't make things go faster. She tilted her head, ignoring Luffy's hat as it slid down her head, hiding her eyes.

"I was sure since you asked what I needed, on the ship we sailed on from Impel Down. Jinbe, I never wanted to go back. There is only forward. Whatever it brings, I have made my peace with it, because it's my choice."

Jinbe hummed, "I understand. We will proceed as you planned."

"Thank you."

XXXXX

..

'Big News' Morgans, the president of the World Economy News Paper, and one of the Emperors of the Underworld, cleared his throat to get the attention of everyone around the screens still displaying the ongoing war, yet again with no avail.

He had no patience remaining whatsoever, and after only a few seconds, he cleared his throat very loudly and sharply clapped his winged hands.

The place was a madhouse of hustle and bustle as everyone was trying to get the scoop on the latest discovery. Basically, they were staring transfixed at the screens that were generously erected there by the marines. He was staring too, with wicked and harrowing glee. Lots and lots of glee.

The problem was there were too many scoops to sort through. Too. Many.

They could let every one of the journalists here publish only a single one, and there would still be scoops left to go around for a second, and maybe a third printing tomorrow.

Morgans' voice grew hoarse with shouting 'Big News'. His ship had arrived little more than half an hour ago, and he had done it non-stop, but he couldn't help himself. Everything, literally everything, was BIG DAMN NEWS.

This was news heaven for someone like him. Paradise scoop. And to think he almost missed it!

His journalist's heart was screaming at him to share the news with everyone, with the WORLD, right now.

Right this second.

Why the hell wasn't there a way to share the news live? No need to wait for papers to be written, printed and delivered by the news coo, but for everyone to hear his voice as he shouted the news as they happened. Things to consider later, he told himself.

Except before he could shout the news, he should understand what in the Grand Line, the Four Blues, and Sengoku's beloved goat, was the hell, heck, and in-between, was happening here!?

The honed journalist's instincts that he prided himself on, were going haywire. They hadn't stopped tingling, screaming, since he arrived here. On Sabaody Archipelago.

Morgans sighed in happiness- euphoria- and despair. So soooooo much despair (if not his, obviously).

Hearing all the 'news' that his reporters were giving him via the Den Den Mushi was exciting as his temporary mobile headquarters had flown to the island and had been totally and utterly confusing. Some he wasn't sure he believed.

He just had to come himself.

Why wasn't he here from the beginning, you ask. (Good one, I can see journalism in your future).

With big once-in-time-life-changing- events like this, he usually liked to be present. Truly, he wouldn't mind going to Marineford itself. He would love to go.

Imagine watching history unfold in front of his own eyes.

The marines would never agree of course. He snorted mentally.

The reason that he wasn't present from the start at Sabaody Archipelago, was because he was in 'hot water' with the World Government. As usual, they didn't appreciate him sharing "the news" with the world. It should be only their approved version of the news. Approved by them. As if.

He was first and foremost a journalist, a DJ of words. He occasionally spun lies to move the hearts of the people! Or suppressed stories. Sometimes to benefit the World Government. It was always good business to have a good relationship with the higher powers. Except he and only he got to decide what got published.

He wasn't really afraid of the World Government. They needed him and he had friends in high and low, very low places. He had several contingency plans for the day when he would inevitably become a 'liability.'

You didn't spend years in his business without knowing the risks. He loved it! Lived for it!

Why, just the most obvious of those plans was him taking the form of a very tall human albatross hybrid with small eyes and a large beak. His body was covered in white feathers, and he has a large tail and wings that resemble human arms. His devil fruit, the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Albatross had many advantages, one of which was to hide his identity completely. Not only his face, but his height, posture etc...

To his relief and surprise, when he got here, the marines who were usually stationed at Sabaody Archipelago, and among other things were responsible for maintaining the screens broadcasting the war, which had been set up ahead of time, were not here. If they were still here, they would have probably disabled them (the screen, not him).

The journalists that were here at the time had told him that the marines had rushed out of here at one point, running to their ships. Specifically when the Admiral was caught.

They had only three points of view of what was going on in the war (there were originally more he was told, but it seems the marines tried to cut the broadcast unsuccessfully, to the journalist's absolute delight). All of them were controlled by pirates, given the commentary and the pictures they were receiving. There was a lot of commentary about the greatness of one Captain Baggy or whoever. He will need to do a thorough search to find out about this mysterious pirate. Someone had said that he was part of the Pirate King's crew. There was definitely a story there. And personally, he was indeed impressed by the guts of this pirate, standing so fearlessly on what may be one of the Admirals, the pillar of the marines.

Sengoku was going to shit kittens when he found that the marines disgrace was still being broadcasted live to all these reporters, and by One Piece and the bloody Goat, Morgans was going to make sure everyone knew all about it. It was the Big-biggest-NEWS ever (for now).

Headline after headline kept flashing in his head, the more he heard, even with all the confusing and sometimes conflicting, probably untrue, reports he kept receiving. He supposed he needed the war to end for him to say who the winner is, and that needed to be on the article somehow. Although with everything else going on, he wasn't sure if it would even be in the headline.

A War of Tag

Reversal of Roles: Pirates Defend the Admiral.

The Sun had been Eclipsed. Read about the Captured Admiral….

Shame oh Shame, the Disgraced Marines.

Power Shift on the Horizon.

How the Almighty had fallen…

Admiral Kizaru Captured.

There were just so many possibilities.

And he was the DJ of words, wasn't he,? He will get it right. The right words to use, to cement this legn-wait for it-dary DAY.

"Okay, let's go over it once more! Shall we?" he said perky and very loudly, aiming to assert his authority over all the journalists before him. Either they worked for him or for lesser companies and thus should know better than to offend him. His winged hands clapped a few more times.

Whoever said patience is virtue was a lying liar who lied. Still…. he needed to understand what had happened here (at least vaguely). This day would change history, the world, it was a legend in the making and he was going to tell every single person in the world - the universe- all about it.

It was his sworn duty (did he take an oath or something when he became a journalist? He can't remember... Was there even a ceremony? …Maybe he should make one?), his Binding Obligation.

His utter and one true pleasure.

"Again…?"

"No..."

"It's the fifth time..."

Morgans ignored their grumpiness and clapped his winged hands one last time, decisively.

"From the top," he ordered and continued, "The whole thing had begun with marines bringing Fire Fist Ace out and the Fleet Admiral announcing he is the son of Gol D Roger, right?"

That alone was worthy of a headline. Any other day and that would be Big News for at least a month.

The Hidden Son of the Pirate King.

Whitebeard's Second Commander is a King's son, Not the King You are Thinking Of. (Good one but too long. A mouthful).

Shocking News, the Pirate King's Lineage Lives On.

One Piece Heir (he liked this one).

He would have sent his reporters to find out about his life, (maybe used his connection in the CP), upbringing, etc...

Even his favorite food would have been news. Or maybe better, the food that he hated, so people could celebrate eating them.

The Pirate King's Son Hates Broccoli with Passion.

All around him reporters nodded.

"Fire Fist Ace birth reveal—"

"—Whitebeard and his allies arrived—"

"Forty-two ships—"

"You counted?"

"We know who his allies are, you moron!"

"All were there?"

Big News.

"—tsunami—"

Big News.

"Admiral Aokiji froze it!"

Big News.

"—ship falling from the sky!"

Big News.

"A marine ship."

"On it were escapees from Impel Down—"

Really Big News.

"Two ex-Warlords, Revolutionaries, and the one leading them is Strawhat Luffy!"

"Hey, Jinbe is still a Warlord, right?"

"Not after today!"

"But should we write an ex-Warlord or Warlord?"

"Think they will axe the Warlord system after this?"

The question nagging him was why was Strawhat Luffy leading prisoners from Impel Down? He wasn't wearing the prison uniforms, yet there could be several explanations for that. Stolen clothes, maybe? Jinbe too wasn't in a prison uniform, but they know he was had so many questions!

Was Straw Hat captured by the marines and then escaped? When? Where? How? And Why keep his capture quiet? How did he escape? Things were not making any sense… There was a big story here with that alone. He could sniff the Big News...the unique fragrance that he associated with any big event was surrounding the whole island.

Throughout the entire crowd of reporters and local civilians, there was the sweat of fear falling from every eyebrow, drooling mouths of greed and anticipation, the glow of excitement and radiance, the dampness of the unknown and the moisture of the sea. Morgans didn't even need to take a deep breath to enjoy the aroma.

Still, his beak crinkled in imitation of a bloodhound. How could he not when the place was stinking of Big News.

They may not look like it, but Albatross were very serious Carnivores.

"Straw Hat and his sister spoke with Whitebeard, and then went on attacking."

"What did they speak about?"

"I wish I knew!"

"I swear I heard Whitebeard laugh."

"Wasn't Lina—?"

"Straw Hat's sister!"

"The Goddess!"

"In War?"

"It was a short conversation!"

"We still didn't know why Strawhat was here then—"

"Yeah, you said it was for the glory, to make a name for himself."

"But we heard him shouting Fire Fist Ace's name—"

"—make sense, when you find out they are brothers."

"Strawhat is Ace's brother!"

"But not by blood."

"Well yeah, The Pirate King died twenty years ago!"

"It revealed that they are Dragon's kids, can you believe it? The Revolutionary Leader, and the most dangerous man in the world!"

"Wait, isn't Whitebeard the dangerous one?"

"No, he's the strongest."

"There's a difference?"

The story was all jumbled together as everyone shouted over each other to be heard, all the while keeping an ear and eye on the screens for any new developments. Still, Moran was an old hand at this, and put it all together before tuning out their ramblings as he concentrated on the most important piece of news: D.

As he thought Dragon was D. The Monkey D family.

A hero of Marines.

The leader of the Revolution.

And what will Monkey D. Luffy become? The King of the Pirates?

And Monkey D. Lina the Goddess? Of What? Why were veteran reporters calling her such a thing? Who had started it?

This family was an endless mine of Big Newsgold

"Whitebeard joined the fight…"

"Straw Hat jumped—"

"—leapt in front—."

"—a mast in his hands!"

"Against the three Freaking Admirals!"

"Language!"

"Kizaru hadn't been caught yet though"

"Nooo...it was after the jump!"

"Someone flying—"

"I think it was Marco?"

"Nah…."

"Then there was Blinding light!"

"We thought it was—"

"We don't know who—"

"Some of the screens were white… We thought we lost connection, if it wasn't for the others... "

"I thought it was Admiral Kizaru using his Devil Fruit!"

"Yeah."

"Me too!"

"Ye—"

"But it wasn't!"

"He was still standing with the other two Admirals..."

"But then he was…"

"Yeah so confusing—"

"We blinked and missed it!"

"It was our goddess!"

"Goddess?"

"Black Haired Lina is the Goddess of Chaos."

"I thought she was a goner when Kizaru appeared behind her!"

"How was she flying—?"

"So dead—"

"I felt sorry for her.."

"Almost shed a tear! A pirate, but so young!"

"Then Kizaru was on the frozen floor—"

"Yeah!"

"Like kaboom! One second up, the next second downnnn!"

"Anyone know how?"

"Please tell me we have a picture of this moment!"

"I have a better one! Kizaru shackled!" Attachan announced proudly.

It was a genius move by Morgans, to 'steal' the prolific photographer who once headed the Marines' Photography Department. It was a good investment to bring the man to work under him.

Even though the man had some weird quirks like shouting "fire!" before he closed the shutter of his camera, which earned him the nickname Flaming Attachan. He still doesn't understand why the Vice-Admiral that he did the deal with kept murmuring about leaving the cap on fifty-seven times!

Anyway, it was a brilliant move (by him) to have sent here the photographer that supplied photographs for the wanted posters of the Straw Hats to take pictures of the war, he was present on Sabaody Archipelago before the war started.

The Straw Hat Pirates.

The crew to shape the future, if today was any indication. He had started keeping a close eye on them after Enies Lobby.

The young Captain had fearlessly punched a Celestial Dragon. An unspeakable taboo.

To even say "no" to one was a death sentence.

It was a knock-teeth- broken nose-faint- blood-loss kind of punch, and then disappeared while Admiral Kizaru (Was there connection to his capture? Was this why he was targeted?) was after him, only to later appear at this war.

He had gleefully published the article with a picture of the … ahem, of the victim.

The mention of the Celestial Dragon in any form made the World Government prickly. It usually was a subject that was better left alone. It just wasn't worth all the ramifications and trouble. But that story was worth all the boiling water he was drawing in. It was the reason why the principals (World Government) were very, very unhappy with him (the innocent student, Kuwahahahahaha) and why he wasn't at Sabaody from the start as he should have been (the principles will be downright furious after today!).

"Ohhh I want a copy!"

"Me too!"

"Please!"

"Please Attachan! You're the best!"

Flaming Attachan looked at him for guidance, and Morgans shook his head discreetly. He wanted to examine all the pictures and choose the best, while the others could take the remainder for the right price.

"But… but...How the hell did she do it?" a young, loud voice asked in awe.

Shrugs and shakes all around. Everyone had already given up trying to come up with an explanation, or even a theory.

"The Goddess of Chaos somehow took out the Admiral in one move," murmured Morgan somberly, and let out a startled laugh "Kuwahahaha!" What wonderful Big News.

He really liked the epithet "Goddess of Chaos." Yes, it had a niceee ring to it.

He nodded to himself approvingly. He would make sure they continued mentioning the epithet in the various articles he was planning to write, so the marines will be forced to mention it on her new Wanted Poster. He wondered how big it would be. A few hundred million at least. The BIG increase will be worthy of an article at least.

"The marine would not approve… but yeah, it would sell," someone whistled.

"Damn straight!"

Headlines he thought to himself.

In a fight between Titans, a Goddess Emerged.

The True Winner: A Goddess.

A Goddess of Chaos Flips the Board, or maybe Takes the Field. Control the Game hmmmmm

"Better ask forgiveness than permission," someone else said.

Indeed! He would never let the World Government stop him from sharing the 'truth.' He likes to give them the illusion that they have control on the trafficking of the information. This will shatter it without a doubt. Oh it will.

He will probably need to run again, his headquarters will be ransacked, destroyed again. He should build a permanent mobile headquarters… Maybe the pirates had the right idea, with ships to run from the marines… Hmmm… Something to consider... Maybe a submarine...

He brought himself back to reality.

"Everyone was running to the Admiral!"

"Mostly pirates!"

"All pirates," someone else corrected.

"The pirates get him first!"

"With sea-stone cuffs!"

"Lots of them—."

"—Where the hell did they get such a thing—"

"Like a lot!"

"Everyone had few on them—"

"I saw few running with rocks—"

"You sure? That's just weird."

"Afterward there was a wall of buddies around them—"

"Yeah, we couldn't see a thing—"

"It was up for like a few minutes—"

"Less than five!"

"Yeah, the marines were in shock!"

"Frozen, didn't move—"

"We were also!"

"Me too!"

"Afterward four Kizaru's emerged..."

People giggled. They actually —Giggled in a high, fatuous way. Like they were sharing a secret little joke. A naughty one. A very naughty and dirty one.

The first time they had told him (and the second time too) he had them repeat it. They fell over each other trying to explain, until he snapped and made a few of them explain their version, one each time slowly and methodically.

He had a lot of thoughts and questions about this. But one thing for sure, this all was premeditated. This was no coincidence, and he really doesn't understand how it was pulled off, but this was 100% planned.

"Four groups of pirates, each with what looked like the Admiral cuffed with lots of seastone, and his head was hidden with something black, clothes maybe…? I don't know?" someone generously summarized.

"They were the ones who came in the ship from Impel Down!"

"We don't know which is the true or the fake!"

"It's like a game of tag—"

"Pirates defending and marines attacking—"

"The irony!"

"Yeah, it became chaotic—"

"How did they find four suits that looked thatttttttt yellow?!"

"Was Admiral Kizaru the target from the start? Was it all planned, l, like...how!?"

"How were the marines not able to find the true one using Haki?"

"You can use Haki to do what?"

"You know how Observation Haki works?"

"What's Observation Haki?"

"Observing Haki…"

"You don't know?"

"I explained it to you 10 minutes ago," someone groaned loudly.

"What's Haki?"

"We don't know what's going on here— "

"Yeah, imagine those in the battle itself!"

"Hey, so a play of tag of sorta, which makes no sense! The Vice-Admirals of the marines and higher up should be able to know where he is! They all should be able to sense him using Observation Haki, right? Right? Am I missing something?"

"What?"

"Observation Haki. Keep up, you dumbass."

"Yes, so how come no one was able to find the Admiral?"

"That is WHAT we're asking!"

"Hmmm...something was used to stop the Fleet Admiral and the other Admirals from being able to find him… That's a Big News!" the president of the World Economy News Paper whispered to himself, his eyes turned calculating.

If there was something that could block Observation Haki from pinpointing your location, that would revolutionize the spy industry, and…everything really.

He could use something like that on his future submarine headquarters...

The Goddess of Chaos had a terrifying hidden power.

Morgans was salivating. That alone was BIG NEWS… but he would leave it alone for now… maybe in a few weeks… when the news was quiet and the World Government was busy with other disasters. Or maybe he should keep it to himself for now.

Curious, curious...

He would later blame his arrogance (arrogance was a sin he excelled at, as well as counting his eggs before they hatch) for missing the sudden hush from some of the others belonging to rival papers. Their bold interest, and the speculative ravenous looks as they planned their own articles.

"Well, what happened next, was the marine attacked, pirates defended—"

"Whitebeard ordered his crew and allies to join the other... pirates, and to take out the other Admirals and Warlords—"

"If not, the pirates playing tag would have been overwhelmed—"

"It wouldn't have worked!"

"Things may as well have ended then!"

Indeed! For what he had glimpsed so far, Whitebeard wasn't on the plan, but he reacted quickly to it. As expected from a Yonko, taking charge right away. Sengoku was a half-step behind.

"—Admiral Aokiji was in a fierce battle with Marco the Phoenix, the 1st division commander of Whitebeard, and 'Diamond' Jozu, the 3rd division commander. Stopping him from going after the captured Kizaru!"

"Akainu found himself at the receiving end of Whitebeard's huge bisento."

"I thought he was a goner!"

"Yeah, how the hell did he survive that!?"

"You are going too far ahead again!"

"Yeah, Whitebeard broke the damn ice, and the Admiral fell into the sea."

"Yeah, we thought he was dead. I mean it's sea water and you know..."

"He's a Devil Fruit user!"

"How did he survive?"

"Is he still alive?"

"Huh—?"

"Red haired Shanks was beating him up!"

"Yeah, I wonder why?"

"What do you mean why? That pirate, the other marine."

"I don't know, it felt kind of personal, you know."

"Donquixote Doflamingo, then attacked Lina!"

"So confusing!"

"Wait, Red Hair hasn't arrived at that point."

"My head!"

"So so so confusing."

"Our Goddess of Chaos!"

"She was almost dead."

"Damn you Doflamingo!"

"I thought that was it!"

"Yeah, it was really close!"

"A string away from death."

"Not funny."

"Wasn't trying to be. It was what literally happened."

"You shed tears."

"I didn't!"

"It's okay, I did too!"

"Me too," several shouted.

It was typical behaviour for greenhorn reporters to immerse themselves in a story, to the point they let their sympathy rule their emotions, and affect how they wrote the story. More experienced journalists knew how to remain professional and detached and disengaged, but even he was finding it hard not to take sides and cheer on the young pirate.

Especially, when the pirates' side was the one steering them to one hell of a series of Big News stories.

He would never actively interfere, yet he can in his heart cheer one side, so long as it didn't interfere with his writing.

"I wonder what they talked about?"

"Yeah! Dammit! Why were the Den Den cameras not closer?!"

"I will sell my right arm to find out what had been said between Akainu and our Goddess!"

"Arm?! I will sell my soul!"

"They were heatedly shouting at each other!"

"I've never seen the Admiral so pissed, and he always looks pissed!"

"Like someone pissed on his kittens!"

"Someone pissed on him personally!"

"Ewwww!" Snorts and loud sounds of disgust filled the air.

"Pissed on his very sweet cornflakes!"

"What?"

"He looks like a sweet tooth kind of guy." People snickered and few snorted.

Morgans murmured to himself, "Someone—Lina—pissed on his absolute Justice more like it."

The Admiral was obsessed. Morgans was looking forward to the future of the marines, as there was going to be a fight (a literal one he was sure) after the Fleet Admiral retired for who would replace him, that would change the trajectory of the Marines future. The retirement was looking to be soon, real soon. Poor Sengoku.

"You are all going ahead too much again!"

"We were still with Warlord Doflamingo."

Groans of protest.

"She was able to stand up to him, when the Whitebeard commanders struggled," someone cheerily pointed out.

"They were getting beaten up left and right."

"Our Goddess!" a few cheered.

"Aren't we supposed to be neutral, and not take sides, especially with criminals," some newbie questioned, hesitant, and was totally ignored.

An older gentleman batted the newbie on the shoulder, trying to offer some resemblance of comfort. "That's not how the world works." he said softly, pointing back at the screen.

The rookie didn't seem to get it, yet Morgans suspected he would before this was over.

"He seemed to talk to her for a while—"

"Between the attacks—"

"We wonder why—"

"—about what they spoke!"

"'Cause he suddenly got pissed!"

"It ended with Marco the Phoenix rescuing her and attacking him—"

"Crocodile attacked Doflamingo!"

"Two Warlords!"

"One Warlord and the other ex-Warlord—"

"Semantics!"

"What happened with that fight?"

"We don't know, the damn Den Den Mushi Visual isn't capturing it."

"I wish I was there."

"You would be dead."

"So dead!"

"We lost sight of her after that."

"No idea what happened—"

"She was speaking with Whitebeard!"

"Not again," murmured someone.

"I know what I saw," the man defended himself.

Morgans pointed at him, and ordered, "Speak."

"It was only for a second, the screen was changing rapidly, but I saw her standing in front of Whitebeard."

"Those damn pirates can't hold the Den Den camera still!"

"Yeah, they keep moving, especially when things get interesting!"

"Hey, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be seeing anything!"

"Wait, how the hell did you see her!?"

"You said you saw a flash of purple and black!"

"Yeah, she's wearing purple and black."

The bickering continued.

It would make sense if Whitebeard and the Goddess spoke again. He stood corrected, the first time they spoke wasn't about the plan. What did they speak about the first time, and then the second time?

He wished he was a small fly that can eavesdrop on every conversation. Maybe a few hundred flies then.

"Marine decided to execute Fire Fist Ace, not following the original time!"

"The Fleet Admiral decided to make his move."

"You mean he didn't have any other choice."

"And the Fleet Admiral attacked Whitebeard!"

"Yeah!"

"Damn!"

"I almost pissed myself!"

"What a fight!"

"The Den Den Mushi Visuals keep vibrating and shaking."

"The fight was awesome!"

"That's not what journalists are supposed to say," someone grumbled, in the voice of a person who knew that he would be ignored, but had to say it anyway.

"Yeah, how the hell do you describe such a fight?"

"I have pictures!" Attachan shouted triumphantly.

Few others had also shouted that they took pictures.

A picture is worth a thousand words. He digressed, of course. If you were using the right words, then pictures were not needed.

"It is still ongoing..." They all stare at the screens.

"Garp the Hero of the Marines also joined the fight!"

"I understand why people call him Garp the Fist. Did you see how he punched Marco the Phoenix?"

A few people whistled.

"Back to the execution!"

"Then suddenly people begin to drop, marines and pirates. Even the executioners"

"Like flies."

"It was so sudden. I didn't understand what was happening at first."

"We're not sure why—"

"It was so confusing—"

"The whole damn war's so confusing!"

"Devil Fruit maybe?"

"Some sleeping gas?"

"Not sure—"

"Another plan by the Goddess of Chaos..."

Morgans will bet each and every one of his feathers that it was Conqueror Haki. Yes, no doubt. But who used it? He was sure it wasn't Whitebeard. Wasn't that why the Fleet Admiral attacked him? To stop him from using it? So who?

"—Then suddenly Our Goddess was running to a group led by Buggy the Clown—"

"And marines were following her!"

"Lots of them!"

"We couldn't hear what was being shouted."

"The marines swarmed over the pirates with Buggy!"

"Yup, they freed the Admiral!"

"But it wasn't the Admiral!"

"Who was it?"

Shrugs and head shakes.

"Some poor sod!"

"Not sure if he was a marine or pirate!"

"Our Goddess played them!"

"It was payback, wasn't it?"

"I really don't understand what's going on."

"Welcome to the club!"

"How are we supposed to write about this?" a few moaned in despair.

"One gone, and three remain!"

"I begin to wonder if the Admiral is one of those at all?"

That needed to be investigated. Real pity he wasn't there. Maybe he should go. There was nothing too dangerous in the path of finding a big story. But he had a feeling that things were nearing the end. Or the climax.

"What do you mean, maybe he isn't there? So she took him and hid him somewhere else?"

"When? How?"

"Was Buggy killed?"

"The Great Captain Buggy you mean!"

"What?"

"There he is, look, you moron!"

"Oh!"

"What is he doing?"

"Still standing on the Admiral!"

"Looks like he is having fun!"

"Jumping around!"

"Wow!"

"On the supposed Admiral," someone peeped out.

"He has balls!"

"Huge ones."

"I thought he was some no-name pirate."

"He can't be. He freed all these prisoners from Impel Down."

"How did he do it?"

"Yeah, he was hiding his powers."

"But why?"

"For a moment like this maybe."

"I think they are still singing. Did anyone write the song down? "

"Why? Do you want to publish something like that?"

"Next," the president steered the conversation away from the song.

When he had arrived they were in deep discussion about the hidden meaning, rhythm, and the correct grammatical use of words to songs sung by pirates. Headache in the making.

He was not trying to be smooth in his dismissal of the subject. Songs blah. More important things were happening. Real things.

"Emmm… Oh, yeah Akainu was not dead."

"Still alive?"

"I think so."

"I heard him shouting a minute ago."

"It's kinda hard to miss his voice..."

"Eha, it kind of screeches into your mind."

"Akainu was alive and tried to kill Black Haired Lina!"

"The Goddess!"

"The Goddess of Chaos."

"He dared!"

It was seriously a good thing there were no marines present to overhear what was borderline treasonous talk.

"But Ace, who got free with Straw Hat and Jinbe attacked him"

"When did that even happen?"

"What?"

"Ace getting free?"

"How?"

"No idea."

A few of them just shrugged. It wasn't the main issue anymore. There were more interesting and important things happening than someone getting free. It really said something about today, how the Son of Gold Roger's status was now of secondary concern.

"Yeah, damn I wish we could hear what happened there"

"It seemed that Akainu was saying something. Probably insults…"

"Justice!"

"Evil pirates"

"Blah blah"

"Wish we could hear it!"

"It was intense!"

"He's one of the candidates to replace the Fleet Admiral, right?"

"Oiii no—"

"Nasty."

"If he survives!"

"I think he will be good."

"Huh?"

"Are you insane?"

"I prefer Aokiji."

"Me too!"

"We can say that Kizaru is literally out!"

More than few dissolved into chuckles and giggles as the absurdity of it all hit them, while others snickered and snorted at first before laughing so hard that tears streamed down their cheeks. Soon it was a finger-pointing, thigh-slapping hoot that had them almost on the floor.

It was the stress, noted Morgans. Probably. He hoped. He doesn't have time to replace so many journalists when he's dealing with such a series of major stories.

Someone cleared his throat and said. "It was a shouting match between ..." he trailed off unsure how to continue.

"A goddess and lowly mortal?" someone suggested smugly.

The suggestion earned a few snickers, and more than a few cheers.

"Better not let him hear you say that."

"I'm gonna publish it."

"And ended with Akainu attacking all three of them. He fought with Fire Fist Ace"

"—he overwhelmed him."

"Yeah, I was sure Ace was a goner."

"He didn't stand a chance"

"They're both fire logia…, but the difference was apparent."

"Akainu is an Admiral."

"One is a volcano, and the other is a regular fire."

"I thought it would be the end of Ace and Lina."

"But Straw Hat Luffy tried to protect them."

"It was really admirable!"

"My heart ached."

"This story where you read about the hero willing to sacrifice himself...Just the hero is a pirate."

"I was rooting for them by then."

"Hey, they are pirates!"

"Hshhhhh!"

"Shhhh!"

"What, I bet I wasn't the only one."

No eye contact, but no one denies it. They are also conveniently forgetting some of their earlier comments...

"Instead of Luffy being killed, out of nowhere appeared Red Hair Shanks."

"Yes!"

"How the hell did he do it?"

"That was one epic entrance!"

"Nah, the falling ship beat it."

"One second Strawhat was going to be evaporated by lava, and the next second a Yonko appeared out of nowhere and stopped the Admiral with one hand."

"The man is one handed."

"It's the kicker!"

"It was the coolest, most dramatic thing ever!"

"So… he stopped an admiral with one hand, and Red Hair doesn't have Devil Fruit."

"Yonko, man. Yonko."

"And he is the youngest one."

"Damn."

"Are we sure that the other two won't come?"

"I hope not."

"They would have been here by now if they intended to come…. I think."

"Wait, Red Hair doesn't have a Devil Fruit, but, but...like I mean…."

"Nope, no one on his crew has one."

"No one? You Sure? Wow."

"Well, that's what I heard at least."

"He has only a human crew too!"

"That's some badass shit."

"Are you sure you're a journalist? Your vocabulary is lacking," one of the senior journalists remarked in a flamboyant tone. The 'Tisk, tisk' had not needed to be interjected.

"What would you have said instead? Huh?" the younger man challenged.

(Big, big. Huge Mistake.)

The senior journalists rose up to the challenge with relish.

"A tough, uncompromising person whose mere presence demands respect!"

"Red Hair carries himself in a way that his mere presence demands respect and attention," another suggested.

"He is able to intimidate at will!"

"His appearance displays confidence; his mere presence exerts such a formidable influence on any environment he finds himself in."

"Red Hair Shanks shows the true qualities of a leader: confidence, awareness, the ability to command the respect of a roomful of strangers by his mere presence."

The senior journalist that began the ball rolling, counted ticking off his fingers.

"—man of commanding abilities, imposing, impressive, self- assertive, tough, formidable, strong-minded, redoubtable."

"An extraordinary man, with impressive dignity, who with a raise of his hand is able to command silence and attention."

"A man of intense feeling, powerful will, of strong and unrelenting convictions, indefatigable in energy, and uncompromising in purpose."

The smug and stuffy atmosphere was almost unbearable.

Smirks of superiority, and eyes gleaming of smugness were adorning those who held seniority. It was their job to show the younger generation how it was done, who indeed appeared properly cowed by the grammar they had been hammered by.

Feeling that the others were well and truly chastised, someone took pity and changed the subject.

"By the way did anyone find the story of how he lost his hand?"

"Wasn't there a fight with some fearsome monster?"

"Wasn't it by Kaidou?"

"Whitebeard?"

"I said the true story, not theories!"

"Soooo... Shanks appeared, and Straw Hat disappeared, and then Shanks then beat the shit out of Akainu."

"He sent him flying!"

"Did you see the pose he struck?"

"Pretty cool!"

"Sword to the sky"

"It seemed familiar!"

"I've a sense of Déjà vu."

"I don't know why, but it reminded me of my childhood."

"Then he joined Whitebeard against the Fleet Admiral."

"Are they allied?"

"It seems like it. At least for now."

"But that changes the playing field."

"It's the marine's worst nightmare."

"Yeah, they're in some deep shit."

"Where did Strawhat disappear to?" asked Morgans loudly and very purposely, distracting the masses.

True, if two of the Yonkos decided to truly ally, then even what happened today with all of its magnitude would seem like a small pebble in the vast ocean (BIG NEWS would not even cut it).

Yes, he wanted to know why Red Hair Shanks had decided to join a fight. What was he after? Or who had attracted him there? Given how he had saved the D siblings, and one had disappeared at the same time, maybe it was related to them instead of Whitebeard? But that was only a guess. An educated guess, but a guess nonetheless.

So many unanswered questions. For now he was going to stick to what was happening right now, which was big enough as is. He can sniff around about a possible alliance later. The balance of power for the world would be so disturbed if that was true, that information will be pouring in for him in waves.

Instead of chasing after a huge whale whose existence was unconfirmed, he would rather stick with catching the very real fishes right in front of him. For now.

Everyone looked around at each other, unsure of how to answer, and as one they shrugged.

"What about Lina and Ace? Where did they go? Has anybody seen them since then?" The Emperor of the Underworld demanded, his eyes narrowed as he swiveled his head around.

Silence was his answer, until someone cleared his throat, and hesitantly said, "Emmm...We don't know. We haven't seen them since."

Morgans gave them an unimpressed look, but said nothing more. They were not in control of what was being broadcasted after all. A slight nod of his head told them to continue.

Three D's just disappeared like that. It felt like something world changing had happened without anyone the wiser.

"Garp joined the Fleet Admiral, Shanks, Marco, and Whitebeard are standing against them—"

"Red Hair's crew called him lame!" someone shouted.

"Not again!"

"Maybe we misheard."

"All of us?"

"Maybe they meant someone else, not their Captain."

"How can someone misunderstand, 'Our Captain is lame.'"

"The lamest of the lames."

"Fine!" the man shouted, holding his hands up in the universal sign of giving up.

"Okay, okay, let's leave the lame thing on the side…."

"But—"

"It's a mind game, I tell ya."

"If it's a mind game, then it's working! Look at how much time we wasted talking about it!" someone muttered under his breath

"Think about it, will a Yonko crew call their leader lame, in front of other pirates, marines, and another Yonko no less!?"

"Yeah!"

"It makes no sense!"

"Is it a code word?"

"Maybe?"

"The only thing that makes sense—"

"It's just like saying I am so strong and cool that someone calling me lame doesn't even register?"

"What about Plan F?"

"They keep repeating Plan F, over and over again."

"Yeah, why the hell are those pirates shouting about plan F?"

"Does F stand for something?"

"Fuck the marines?"

"Language!"

"It does fit their vocabulary!"

"I think it's garbage!"

"How do you know that?"

"Yeah, it probably, something stupid!"

"Using it to distract the marines maybe?"

"Well, it seems like they have a plan!"

"Yeah, very likely. I mean, why would they shout that they have a plan, and its name, over and over again?"

"A distraction technique!"

"But maybe it's reverse psychology!"

"Oh, please!"

"Really!"

"Hey, Pirates aren't dumb."

A dumb pirate doing dumb thing appeared on the screen.

"Fine, but not all of them!"

"Yeah, look at our Goddess! She is super smart."

"Fine! But still…."

"Hey, what about the voice!"

"Aha, what about Kizaru's voice?"

"On the central Den Den Mushi you mean?"

"Are we sure it was his voice?"

"Was it?"

"Yeah, I've met him before, and it's really distinct. I'm sure."

"What was he even saying!"

"I'm really not sure it was his voice."

"It was."

"But, b—"

"I'm sure!"

"B-but something was different about it."

"Yeah, the way he emphasizes the words."

"The undertone of the way he spoke."

"What the hell are you talking about? It was him!"

"How was he using the central Den Den Mushi? Isn't he still a prisoner?"

"What did he say?"

"Didn't he call Lina's name, our Goddess?"

"I'm not sure."

"Maybe."

"The sound quality isn't great."

"Are they together?"

"Huh?"

"Does that mean that... the Admiral was with the pirates from the beginning?"

A traitor.

No one dared to say it out loud, but if you looked at the faces of everyone around it was on everyone's mind.

Was one of the Admirals a traitor?

It will explain so much, particularly how easily he was captured, and the ease with which the Navy was manipulated. Surely that was more plausible than someone coming up with such a scheme on the fly? And would certainly explain how the Straw Hats were able to escape from Sabaody Archipelago after their Captain punched a Celestial Dragon in front of so many witnesses. It fit, the pieces all coming together. Except it fit too perfectly. Nothing ever does in real life. It was too easy to believe, which meant that you needed to look underneath the underneath.

There was more to it. He was sure.

He thoughtfully let his gaze wander around, until finally settling on the ground where papers with his handwriting were still scattered around, some being carried far away by the winds. Not that he cared. They were from when he first arrived and naively thought that he could put some order into the chaos.

He had tried writing a timeline, going over the main players from each side, who were they facing, who would win? When? Who? What?

There were too many main players: Fleet Admiral, Admirals, Garp, Vice Admirals, Warlords and ex ones. Yonkos, commanders, captains, prisoners, Revolutionaries…

And the stars of the show: Strawhat and the Goddess.

He was stubborn, but even Morgans had to concede defeat on this foolish endeavor. It was just too much. It looks like he was definitely going to have to do multiple publications tomorrow to get all this across.

But something for sure, it really didn't matter who won the war. The world had changed. Things were shifting that no one will be able to stop. Although they will still try. Most definitely.

Kuwahahahahahahhahah

Morgans suddenly froze, inspiration had suddenly struck. It was so simple. Looking at him smack in the face.

He knows what the headline will be.

"Show me all the pictures you have of Lina D. Monkey." He demanded of Attachan.

Simple was always best.

The headline would read.

"The Goddess of Chaos."

Plan F was going swimmingly. If he will say so himself. Buggy wasn't sure what they were doing, but he was back on his rightful place on the Admiral's body. Standing high above his followers, surveying the battle, and shouting commands.

He gave a jump of enjoyment as he landed on Kizaru, keeping his balance. Beautiful landing, indeed.

From his high point of view, he surveyed the battlefield. The job of the leader.

He could see Crocodile off in the distance, standing upon the body of Doflamingo… The scariest of the Warlords, they said. Morons.

Crocodile was saying something, while he hacked with his hook into the body, apparently planning to tear out the heart. It seemed Crocodile wasn't taking any chances.

Meanwhile, Mr.1, the former leader of this original group of pirates, was nowhere to be seen near him.

Did the ex-Warlord intend to come back and take control of this group after? As if. Buggy would not let him. It was his now. Plus, half of them were now made of the ones who had been with him when guarding that fake Kizaru, and were properly, blindly obedient.

He leaped into the air and turned around, trying to take everything going around him. He almost stumbled and fell, but few of his admirers helped keep him standing.

Still no sign of Mr. 1. Weird. Well, in that case it was definitely his duty to take control here!

Huh. One of the other groups with a fake Admiral (the real Admiral was under his legs. He was sure this time) was nearing the edge of the ice, near the pirates' ships.

He swiveled his head to take stock of the rest of the battlefield. Crocodile's former(?) group remained inside the plaza. The other two fake Kizaru's and their guards were still going at it out here in the bay, yet staying where they were, putting up a heavy fight.

Above them all was his own motley band, which was rightfully the biggest, strongest, and despite how they had the most marines attacking, he was not worried. His people were putting up a fierce resistance, and those wannabe sailors were visibly failing to make any headway. He was rocking this.

He was the great Captain Buggy, and the appearance of that bastard Shanks wasn't going to dim his mood or shine. The glory was all his. The bastard that had made him eat the Devil Fruit that was supposed to make him bloody rich. He will never forgive him.

Buggy refused to even look at where the bastard was.

As usual the Red-Haired Moron was in the most dangerous situation, standing beside Whitebeard like he belonged there, facing Garp the Fist and the Fleet Admiral like those were two lowly rats.

The ignorance. The stupidity! Well, what do you expect from someone that thought the South Pole was the coldest place. It was clearly the North Pole! Anyone with a brain would know that. But not this brainless moron.

See, if Shanks had a scrap of brain, he would know to stay away from the most dangerous people here, and put between him and them a few hundred abled bodies. Like Buggy did. He was clearly a genius. He was alive and whole!

Even Captain Roger wasn't that bad. Although he had admittedly been bad, like seriously bad. Dragging them kicking and screaming to unimaginable situations. Seriously scary and extremely dangerous situation.

Shivers ran down his back.

The bastard had him remembering that damn shiver.

Cause now, the shiver was running down his back, nonstop.

His gut was telling him he should get out of here.

F plan can kiss his as—Wait a second. F stands for Flee. Didn't it?

His beloved future vice-captain wanted him to Flee.

Yes. He was a genius among geniuses.

A ship, he needed a ship. He can take the biggest one. The Moby Dick!

Or at least one of the copies of it just 'laying around.' There were few of those here. Yes, he will show Whitebeard who's the boss!

He had the followers to commandeer the ship, break it free from the ice, and sail it away as they Flee from here. In fact, some of his worshipers will be more than happy to act as decoys for his sake, and Plan F's sake.

Of course, they would probably expect him to rescue them later, yet that was neither here nor there.

Also, he still had one special Buggy Ball that he had not used.

Now, where was Mr. 3? He had a Flee plan to get to.

Any theories? What Lina's got planned? Helllllllllllllllooo? Anyone out there?

.

Hey, it's been a while! Lots of things happened and I got stuck, but thanks to my dear friends Black' Victor Cachat (hail the one true king)and scl04 for the encouragement and kicking me a bit in the ass (figuratively of course ;), my butt is safe, I assure you). I am back.

The good news is this story is almost finished. I wrote most of the scenes I planned, it needs editing and such (it will be 3-5 more chapters). Of course, If I do get inspired by your reviews it may get longer, so leave long ones!

.

As you know when I get my mojo on, I don't know when to stop writing. For example, this chapter got so long that I had to cut it in half (yup, this massive piece is half of what I originally had planned), so the next chapter is already written (and almost ready), and I intend to post it sometime next week (I hope). You want it to be faster, let me know by leaving a friendly (BEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg) review ;) SHISHISHISHI *Luffy's alternative self-evil laughter*

My dear beta Gerbilfriend is continuing the Marine!Lina omaka below, read it and send lots of love! :)

Marine!Lina and Stormy Seas

.

.

Storms sucked. Lina hadn't liked storms since—

Well, Lina really did not like storms. Anyone who thought storms were a good idea was seriously stupid.

The lightning flashed through the sky, creating an odd spectral effect and Lina grabbed one rope, it's flying ends burning her hands from the momentum and tied it back down.

That would show it.

She didn't notice the wave until it had already knocked her over the railing, cracking painfully against her head as she was ripped overboard, helpless as she flailed against the sea.

"Captain—" somebody else was screaming but Lina couldn't focus because something, someone, Hatchan, was holding onto her, throwing her back on board.

Why? Lina wanted to month but couldn't, she didn't have any air as she tried to focus on breathing, and he was grabbing her and nobody had noticed yet so this was her only chance because-

Because he had helped her, and she really hated owing debts (they sucked and were always called in really inconveniently and—)

Lina pushed him out into the sea.

She was cold. She was wet.

Hatchan had escaped, and she was stuck on the deck getting lectured. It was worse than one of Ace's lectures, something that was really quite impressive considering how long he had gone on and on the time Luffy and her had managed to raid that nobles' kitchen back when they were thirteen, but Lina knew she shouldn't think about that because now she was hungry, and the Captain was still droning on.

No good deed went unpunished, but this was a little much.

Okay, a lot much.

And then there was the dance contest that she had somehow been signed up for (and she was going to get back at whoever signed her up for it, revenge would be sweet) in two days. Apparently, she had done so well in the last dance that they had just had to add her to the next one and, 'No Lina, we can't take you out, can't you see how much of an honor this is?".

Honor Lina's ass, maybe she should have just jumped overboard, that might have been simpler.

Although...with her luck, she would not die, and end up finding Luffy's crew, or someone else that had at least met them. Okay better, stay on board then.

Gerbilfriend: Still on my writing bs, hope you enjoyed, being Lina is suffering, no matter the verse
