Hours passed as Ryder and the others vowed to help Chase with his new problem, the Shepherd went inside the Lookout, nodding at the pups as they were playing Pup Pup Boogie.

Chase went to his bowl of kibble, soon eating it as Skye slowly approached him, attempting to comfort him as time went on.

As Chase moved on to his water bowl, quenching his thirst quite fast, he felt a pair of paws hold onto his.

Surprised, the Shepherd shot a glance at the culprit and saw Skye, who smiled at him.

"Oh, hey." Chase let out a sigh, not that he disliked the aviator pup, how could he? He was just still torn up about the whole 'werewolf/werepup' situation. "I wouldn't recommend doing that." The Shepherd yanked his paw away from Skye. "I could attack you at any moment without any control." Chase said coldly.

Skye wasn't having it, she still stuck by the Shepherd's good morals, even though he was a werewolf/werepup.

"I still want to help you, we all do, and you know that we care about you..." Skye placed her paw on the Shepherd's muzzle, making him face her. "...I care about you."

After what Ryder said, Chase realized that he was right, now was the best time to prove how he really felt about the aviator pup but what if it will mess things up the most?

Chase put his paw on Skye's and held it, giving some thought to the chemistry that the two shared, the love that they had for each other.

He realized that if he loved her that much, he wouldn't be able to recover if he ever hurt her or Ryder and the others. The right thing to do, in the Shepherd's mind was give up one of the things he cared about, it was struggling to say the least but it had to be done. The police pup set the Cockapoo's paw away from him, trying desperately to avoid the guilt that was taking over him as he heard the optimistic pup sniffle and tear up.

"I'm sorry..." Chase apologized as he turned away from Skye. "I'm...I'm not taking that chance, I could end up hurting you. I care about you too much to let it happen." The Shepherd turned back around and hugged the Cockapoo before leaving her all alone.

The Shepherd went inside his pup house and slumped to the ground, angry at his decision he just made, but he did it for the safety of Skye and the others, so he had to deal with it.

Chase had the notion to lay off some steam and clear his mind, the pup got back up and left his pup house, grabbing his pup tag and heading back into the forest where he was attacked at.

The pup's mind soon eased up as he heard birds chirping and the breeze hit his fur, that was cut short as he heard some rustling close by.

The police pup immediately went into a defensive position, making sure he wasn't going to be attacked again.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Chase demanded as he looked around the trees and bushes.

As the pup kept his guard up, he spotted the accomplice trying to peek out of bush. "I can see you! Trying to sneak up on me and attack me?"

The pup slowly walked around, keeping one paw up to signify that they weren't going to be a problem.

"I'm-I'm not going to hurt you!" The pup tried defusing the situation.

Chase glanced at the pup's face and noticed the scratch marks on their nose, similar to the one that he gave to the wolf that attacked him.

"You've been following me or something?" Chase asked as he circled the pup. "Answer the question!"

"Ju-just calm down and I'll explain!" The pup answered while keeping a safe distance from Chase.

Chase soon calmed down and asked the pup another question.

"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" Chase asked as he stopped circling the pup.

The Husky replied rather quickly. "I've been...following you for sometime."

"Why?" Chase asked, tilting his head.

"Well..." The pup scratched the back of her head. "...I kinda bit you a couple days ago."

That's all Chase needed to hear as he lunged at the Husky, pinning her rather quickly.

"Wait! Stop! Just let me explain!" The Husky pleaded as Chase kept her pinned.

"You ruined my life! I almost killed my friends because of you!" Chase yelled out.

"I know, I'm sorry about that but just let me explain, please!" The Husky begged.

Chase realized that he was hurting the poor Husky, he wasn't like this, he was never like this. The affection of the wolf inside him was clouding his moral standards, he fought it but there was only so much he could take. He got off the Husky and helped her up.

"Sorry about that." Chase apologized.

The Husky brushed herself off. "It's alright, I think anyone would've done the same thing." The Husky accepted the Shepherd's apology. "Look, I know I ruined your life, turned you into a werepup but I couldn't control any of it." The pup lowered her ears. "I didn't ask for this and neither did you, but maybe there's a way to fix it."

Chase's ears perked up at the last part. "What? Really?"

The Husky raised her paws to calm the Shepherd down, not wanting to keep his expectations up.

"Maybe. Maybe there's a way to fix it, I'm not too sure on it though." The Husky stated as Chase's ears lowered.

The Husky brushed up to him. "Hey, I know we just met, but we'll get through this. You and I as werepups? We can control ourselves, hopefully." The Husky smiled at Chase.

Chase sighed as he realized what he had to do. "I need to talk to my friends, come with me." Chase gestured for the Husky to follow him.

"He's gone? What do you mean he's gone?!" Ryder yelled out, worried for the Shepherd.

"I don't know, he just left!" Skye wiped the tears from her eyes. "He said that he didn't want to take a chance with me, I-I didn't think he meant he'd leave!" The Cockapoo cried out.

Ryder placed his hand on his forehead, signifying the stress and disbelief of the situation, yet he didn't know that the Shepherd would be returning.

Zuma comforted the crying Cockapoo as Rocky eyed the two pups outside.

"Hey! I think I see him! He's with some other pup!" Rocky called out as he gestured for the group to look onward.

Ryder and the others immediately hurried outside to ask the Shepherd various questions but none of them except for Ryder asked.

"Chase, where were you?! We were worried!" Ryder asked as he hugged the pup, with the Shepherd still having a depressed look on him.

The boy soon released the embrace as he heard the Shepherd let out a deep sigh.

"There's something I need to tell all of you." Chase pulled the Husky close to him to introduce her. "She's a werepup like me, sh-she's the one who attacked me and Skye."

Skye's ears perked up as she approached the Husky. "You did this?! You hurt Chase!" Skye was in the Husky's face but was held back by Chase, upon noticing this, she had a shocked expression. "You're defending her? She ruined your life! She attacked you!" Skye yelled out.

"I wasn't in my right mind, I wouldn't have done it if I was!" The Husky defended.

"Look, all of you, I can't trust myself around you! I don't want to end up hurting you or worse! Just look what happened last night!" Chase stated. "I've decided to leave with this pup, together, we can try to learn how to control this whole werewolf situation."

Ryder stood up to the Shepherd. "How long do you think it'll take?"

Chase looked at the Husky, who shrugged back. "We...don't know. Maybe days? Weeks?" Chase looked at the other pups who shared the same sad look. "I'm doing this so I don't have to hurt any of you if I lose control." Chase removed his pup tag and handed it to Ryder. "I'm sorry." The Shepherd nodded at the other pups and left them.

Skye was left speechless, she didn't utter a single word but rather looked down at the grass, letting her claws dig into the dirt as tears of anger and sadness strolled down her face.

The pups left her to grieve in the pain, Ryder couldn't believe it, he just lost his first pup for who knows how long? The boy eventually made went to the top of the Lookout and picked up a picture frame he had close to his bed, a photo of him and Chase around the first time he found him all those years ago. The boy sat down on the edge of his bed, having tears fall onto the picture frame shortly after. "I shouldn't have let them go out! I should've just...should've just let them stay here, things could've been different." Ryder blamed himself as he placed his hands on his head.

Chase and the Husky made their way back to the forest, with Chase still upset about the departure with his former friends. The Husky noticed this and tried making the pup feel better.

"Hey...I know what you did back there wasn't easy, but I'm sure they know you did the right thing deep down." The Husky placed her paw on the Shepherd's shoulder.

Chase looked at the Husky's paw then at her face. "What's your name?"

The Husky threw out a small chuckle. "I sort of been through a lot of names, mostly, people call me Aurora."

"Well, I hope we can work this whole wolfified pup situation out then, Aurora." Chase shared a slight smile with the Husky as they waited for nightfall to arrive.
