Summary: Every dream is a lie. Originally for 30hath's June 6th-every dream is a lie. I slept on it.

Hermione dreams. She dreams of feather-light kisses and soft touches. Hands roaming on her skin, warm, comforting. It's all hers to have, and only hers. Even when she's awake, she can still feel the tingle of his touch and she wonders if that's what it feels like in reality. And she wants it. She wants it bad enough that it almost hurts.

She dreams of one person. A tall figure, with pale skin and blond hair, and she imagines that everything about this gives them a forbidden love air, because for some reason it's romantic. She likes the thought of it. The imagined escapades throughout the school, and the dreamt meetings in dark corridors. She loves their relationship in her dreams. She lives on it.

Her dreams bring her pleasure on the most basic level, with writhing in between sheets, and an intimacy that could never be, and she finds herself wishing she could have the same thing in real life. Have him, with her, and be with him.

Which really is insane, considering their history. But, love is never logical and she cannot keep herself from having these dreams. These dreams in which she sees him in a way that can only be made up by the imagination, and he's with her and loves her and there's no way to tell them apart as they lie in a bed, all twisted limbs and on a sexual high.

Hermione doesn't always think about books. She thinks about him too. She thinks about him, and then has to remember reality. Because when she isn't dreaming, she is constantly reminded of why it has to be a lie.
