You blink your eyes open when you hear the beep that tells you someone is at your door.

"Just a minute," you mumble sleepily as you sit up and toss your legs over the side of the bed, hissing as your bare feet hit the freezing cold floor. You make your way over to the door and press the button on the wall to open the sliding door.

A woman is standing in the doorway with a covered plate. She looks to be in her mid-thirties, her hair is pulled into a strict bun, and she is wearing a uniform similar to the one Mira was wearing the day before. The deep blue of the uniform clashed badly with her skin tone, making her skin look slightly orange.

"Hello," you say as you rub your tired eyes. "What time is it?"

"About 0700," the woman replies in a voice far too cheery for the early morning. You decide you don't like her. You also decide that in your mind you will refer to her as 'orange'. Because of her skin tone. Also, you don't like her.

"I've brought you dinner, Miss," Orange says as she holds up the plate in her hands. It smells delicious. As your stomach gives an appreciative rumble, you decide that maybe you do like her.

Orange moves over to the table and sets down your breakfast, taking off the cover as she does so. As you move over and begin devouring the delicious meal, the servant holds out a datapad. You take it hesitantly. You had a datapad, but you forgot it back home. Also, yours was a much older model. The datapad you now held in your hands was sleek and brand new.

"That has a general schedule for what activities will be available on the ship and what time," Orange informs you. "You will also be able to receive calls, send messages, and access books and other media from the ship's vast collection."

"Who will I be sending messages and calls to?" you ask looking up in surprise.

Orange tilts her head in curiosity. "Whoever you want to. I assume that you will want to keep in contact with your family?"

You suddenly realize that for some reason, in the back of your mind you had sort of assumed that you wouldn't be able to talk to your family. In hindsight, you realize that your assumption may have been a little silly. After all, with instantaneous communication, there was absolutely no reason for you to not keep in contact with them.

"There are recreational activities available on the ship, such as yoga, fencing, swimming, and multiple martial arts, as well as many more," says Orange after a few second's pause. "All of these will be available to you and as I said, there is a schedule already downloaded to your datapad for where and when these activities will take place."

"I can do fencing?" you ask excitedly. "If you wish," Orange says. "As stated, all activities offered will be available to you. Grand Admiral Thrawn also requests that you take an art class if you are willing. That class can be art history if you do not feel confident creating art yourself."

"Why art classes?" you ask with a slight frown.

"I believe it is because Grand Admiral Thrawn himself has a great interest in art, but you would need to ask the Grand Admiral yourself if you want to know his reasoning," replied Orange. "You have an early lunch scheduled with him today."

"I do?" you ask in confusion. "I didn't.."

"At 0900 Grand Admiral Thrawn will show you around the ship," Interrupts Orange. "For your information, Mira will be your maid for the forseeable future. She will assist you while you get ready, help you find your way around the ship, and help with any other needs you may have. With that, Orange walks out of the room."

You stay seated at the table and finish your breakfast, it was delicious. The Chimaera's cooks must be very talented. As you were finishing up the last few bites, you heard another beep at your door. You walked over and pressed the admittance button, to find Mira standing in the doorway holding a stack of clothes.

"Good morning, Miss," says Mira as she skips through the door. "I have brought you several outfits to choose from for today's activities." She moves over to the unmade bed. "Of course, none of them will be an exact fit, we'll need to get your size later."

Mira then spread out a selection of different outfit choices, all of them well-made and nice, but none were too fancy. Most were elegant, yet functional outfits. You decided on a simple pair of grey pants with a purple tunic, the tunic had a diamond-shaped hole cut out right above the bust area under your throat. You liked that small detail. It had an undertone of sexiness without being too suggestive.

"Now," said Mira cheerfully. "For your tour with Grand Admiral Thrawn."

Mira had shown you where you would wait for Thrawn, then just left you there. And as such, you had just stood there awkwardly for the past several minutes.

"Good morning."

You whip your head around to see Grand Admiral Thrawn standing behind you with his hands held behind his back.

"Good morning, Grand Admiral," you stammer out in response.

"Please, just Thrawn is fine. We are engaged after all," Thrawn says with a slight smile. You feel your cheeks heat up slightly at the gentle reminder.

You take a moment to study him. You hadn't really gotten a good look at him the last time you met. He was handsome. His deep blue skin went wonderfully with his white admiral's uniform, and his red eyes seemed to see more than a human's eyes did, though you were sure that was just idle fantasy on your part. His eyes saw the same amount as yours did.

"Shall we begin the tour?" Thrawn asks. You start realizing that you have been standing here studying him for several moments.

"That would probably be best," you say in response.

As he shows you around the ship, you gain a better understanding of its true vastness. The Chimaera had never landed on your planet. Instead the imperials had taken a ship down to the surface, and had taken you with them when flying back to the Chimaera.

Thrawn only shows you a small portion of the ship, but even that small portion takes him an hour to show you. Thrawn had shown you hangers, engines, weapons storage, where the exercise classes were held, and the bridge.

As you and Thrawn walked onto the bridge, everyone had gone silent. Thrawn had solemnly introduced you as his fiance, and the assorted officers had eyed you curiously. You looked around the bridge of the Chimaera and had noticed one man bearing the rank badge of senior lieutenant looking at you strangely.

He seemed to be eyeing you up and down, and not in the way the other officers were. His eyes lingered, and it was starting to make you uncomfortable. You mentally shook yourself, sure you were jumping to conclusions. Next, you turned your attention to the huge windows looking out over space. The sight made your breath catch in your throat.

You moved toward the windows almost unconsciously, looking at the wonderful sight. You had seen the stars before, of course. But that had been from your homeworld. It in no way compared to this. Space seemed to extend forever. There was a single reddish-colored planet in your line of sight with a small blue moon circling it. You could also see the Chimaera spread out below. Stars, it was massive.

You turned to Thrawn, a smile spreading across your face. Thrawn was looking at you curiously, seeming to study you. He gestured out the window and asked, "do you like what you see?"

"It's beautiful," you breathed in response.

Throughout the rest of the tour, you find yourself focusing more on Thrawn than on the ship he is showing you around. He seems very collected and self-confident, though not overly cocky. The Chimaera's crew obviously respect him a great deal, even more than would normally be expected.

Overall, you like the mysterious Chiss. Though that doesn't mean you want to marry him.

"And this brings us to the conclusion of our tour," says Thrawn, stopping outside a door. You inspect it curiously. You were in a hallway lined with the rooms of senior officers on the Chimaera.

"What's so special about this room?" you inquire curiously.

"It's yours," says Thrawn. "The room you were previously using was merely a temporary arrangement." Thrawn presses a series of buttons on the control panel to the side of the door. As the door slides open, he escorts you inside the room.

Your new room is larger than your previous one, but not extravagant. The room is also blank of all furniture or decoration.

"You will oversee the decoration and furnishing of your new living space," explains Thrawn. "Since you are going to be living here for an extended period of time, I thought it expedient for you to be able to pick the decor. I also thought that would be easiest and most comfortable for you if you were not living in the room at the time."

You nod your head at the explanation, understanding the logic behind it.

"My room is located next to yours through that wall," says Thrawn, pointing to the wall that would be on your left if approaching the door to your room from the hallway.

You feel heat rushing to your cheeks. "Will you be able to hear me talk to people?" you ask nervously.

Thrawn smiles ever so slightly. "No, the walls are mostly soundproof. If you are carrying on a normal conversation, I will not be able to hear you. However, if you scream or shout, the noise should be audible through the walls."

You sigh, not completely comfortable with the situation. But at least the walls are thick, and you suppose that you and Thrawn will be married. A fact that you have become at least slightly more comfortable with.

"Now, should we go get lunch?" Thrawn asks, holding out his arm for you to take.

"Sure, I was getting a little hungry anyway," you reply as you take the Chiss's arm.
