After knowing each other for several weeks, Manfred von Richthofen and the Commander began to grow very close to each other. They developed a certain bond that simply could not be explained with words, a bond which would keep the two together for many years. However, one night, that bond would be tested. Manfred von Richthofen was sleeping in her dorm when a Siren appeared in her room.

"So how are things between you and the Commander?"

Manfred von Richthofen woke up when the Siren said this and rolled onto her side to face the siren. "What do you want?"

"I want nothing. This is about what you want."

Manfred von Richthofen stared at the Siren, confused, for a few moments

"Do you think the Commander cares about you?"

"I don't think that, I know that. He said he wanted to make me feel cared for when we first met."

"And do you feel like you are cared for?"

"Yes I do."

Manfred von Richthofen rolled back onto her other side and tried to ignore the Siren's presence. However, the siren continued on with its monologue.

"Do you like the Commander?"

Richthofen remained silent.

"I take it by your silence that the answer is yes."

The siren promptly took out a recording device of sorts and placed it on Richthofen's bedside table. An image appeared in which the Commander was kissing a past girlfriend of his. Richthofen rolled back onto her other side to look at the image. While she was looking at the image in shock, the siren continued speaking.

"He hasn't had you meet his girlfriend, has he?"

"G-g-girlfriend?"

Richthofen put her head into her pillow and began crying into it.

"Just get the hell out of my dorm." Richthofen said, her voice muffled by the pillow.

"If you say so." the siren replied.

After a few moments, the siren vanished, leaving Manfred von Richthofen with an agonized heart and a pillow full of tears.

The next morning, the Commander was feeling hungry, so he decided to get breakfast at the Iron Blood Cafe. As he was about to head inside he noticed Manfred von Richthofen and another similar looking girl whom he assumed to be Max Immelman sitting at a table outside with one empty seat.

As the Commander was walking over, he did a quick inspection of the German carrier. Her outfit was similar to Richthofen's, except her flight jacket was black and her scarf was blue. Her hair was also messier and lacked a ponytail.

"Hope you don't mind," the Commander said as he sat in the one empty chair.

"No, we don't mind at all, Kommandant," the yellow-eyed carrier replied. The Commander looked at his secretary, expecting a similar response. Instead, Manfred von Richthofen got up and walked away without saying a word.

"What's going on with her?" the Commander asked.

"She seemed really upset last night. When I tried to ask her what was wrong, she refused to tell me." Max Immelman replied.

The Commander began showing his worry for Manfred von Richthofen.

"Is there anything I can do?"

Max Immelman looked up from her menu to respond.

"In situations like this that involve my sister, it's best to give her some space." The Commander sat there for a few moments in deep thought, wondering what to do about his secretary. After those few moments, he stood up and began getting ready to leave.

"Leaving?"

"I'm not hungry anymore."

After searching for his secretary for a few minutes, the Commander eventually found Manfred von Richthofen standing on the edge of the harbor with a large, black, mechanical basilisk which he assumed to be Richthofen's rigging.

"Where are you going?" the Commander asked.

"Sortie."

"I thought you said you didn't have any sorties today."

"I do now."

The Commander began walking even closer towards his secretary.

"Ok, what the heck is going on? What did I do to make you mad at me?"

"I'm not mad at you."

"Yes you are, why else would you be trying to avoid me?"

"For the last time, I'm not mad at you-"

"Tell me why you're mad at me-"

"I SAID I'M NOT MAD AT YOU!"

The Commander was taken aback by this. Manfred von Richthofen had never yelled at him before. Before hopping into the water, Richthofen decided to say one last thing to the Commander.

"Tell your girlfriend I said hi."

After leaving the Commander reasonably confused, Richthofen hopped off the edge of the harbor and began skimming across the water, going away from the port and into the horizon. The Commander decided to yell one last thing to his secretary.

"Be careful! Please…"
