Ch 13 Diagon Ally
Harry stood before Rimuru and his subordinates standing by him. Many of the Tempest residences was there, crying their hearts out from their young master leaving them. "I can't believe the time has come for you to leave for school." Rimuru chuckles before crossing his arms. "It felt only yesterday that you were brought back at Tempest and now you're leaving."
Harry smiles at the fake sad expression his father is giving him, "Dad, I will be back later. It will be shopping for my school supplies." He explains to him once more. "Besides do you remember our agreement?"
Rimuru chuckles, remembering all too well about their deal. "Yes, yes, I know son." He ruffled his untamed black hair. "Take care Harry, I contacted Gringotts, and you'll meet him upon arrival. I'd wish I can come with you,"
"Don't worry dad, I know what you need to do with that Demon Lord making a muck in the south," Harry said, proud of his father.
Rimuru smirks, placing his arms on his sides. "Now, if you need anything Shuna, Gabiru, Ultima, or Padfoot will be with you on the other side." He retold his son who's attending with him.
Diablo steps forward, arms behind his back. "Don't worry, my lord. Harry-sama is in good hands." The Demon butler ensures his master the safety of his son.
Ultima grabs onto Harry's arm, smiling brightly. "You can trust us with his safety, Rimuru-sama!"
"Yes, we'll make sure nothing happens to the young master Rimuru-sama," Shuna replied, making her way to the platform along with Ultima skipping her way over.
Padfoot treads over, sitting on the platform waiting for his master to arrive. "Harry-sama! Come on!" The Tempest Wolf called out to his master.
Harry turns around, seeing his entourage waiting for him to get on the golden disc. He turns back to Rimuru, looking at the ground. "Harry is there some-oof!" Rimuru blinks at Harry, hugging him.
"I-I'm going to miss you, Dad," Harry said, tears falling one by one from his face. His grip tightens, starting to regret this decision he made.
Rimuru smiles softly at his son, hugging him back. "I know, but you said you miss your old friends." He said to him.
"Y-Yeah," Harry sniffs, looking at his father's golden eyes.
"And it would make them sad that you didn't go to school this September," Rimuru said, rubbing his back.
Harry blinks, letting his father's words influence him. "Y-You're right, dad." He said.
The Demon Slime places his hands on his son's shoulder, He took a closer look at him. "Harry, take care over there, try not to get into too much trouble." He smirks, seeing the sweat from his temples. "Don't think that I heard what you did last year, Harry. Gringotts and Griphook informed me what you did with the Philosopher stone and Voldemort." He said to him; his face darkens by his blue bangs.
"Y-Yeah…I-I'll try not to dad." Harry chuckles slightly, a bit scared of the glare he was giving to him.
Rimuru's dark face reverts to his cheerful expression. "Well, take care, Harry."
Shion inclines her head to the Majin. "Please be safe, young master. Do remember that your people here support you, even if you're far away." The Wicked Oni said to the Majin.
Harry nodded, looking at his people one last time. "Bye, everyone! I'll be back before you know it!"
"Goodbye Harry-sama!" Everyone greeted him goodbye as he steps on the teleportation device and activated; taking him and his guardians to Gringotts.
Veldora looks down at his sworn brother, seeing a tear coming down from his cheek. "You miss him already, eh Rimuru?" he asked.
Rimuru wipes away the tear before heading back to the town. "I am, Veldora. But for now, let's handle the proclaim Demon Lord." He said to the Storm Dragon.
Harry opens his eyes after the teleportation, his eyes gazed upon a familiar area. The science lab beneath Gringotts's bank. "We arrived," Harry said, a bit anxious to be here.
"Indeed, young master. This is the same place where we departed for Tempest the last time we're here." Diablo commented on his charge.
Shuna, Ultima, and Padfoot look around the area, arcane technology that is all bronze and rusty decorated the old laboratory. "This place reminds me a lot of Dwargon's development department." The Oni Princess added, taking note of the strange technology she sees.
"Looks interesting, I do wonder how the Goblins did were able to come up with this," Ultima commented, surprised that a weaker monster was able to be developed something like the ones she sees.
Padfoot wagged his tail, smelling all sorts of new scents around him. "Most of them are pretty old, I can smell a rustic scent off of them."
Gabiru looks around, trying to find their contact. "Do anyone see King Gringotts or Griphook?"
Diablo looks around, searching for their new allies. "I can sense them, but can't seem to pinpoint-"
The doors open to a Pale Hobgoblin attendant. "Greetings, Lord Tempest and company. I'm Ripclaw, one of King Gringotts's aids." The new face introduced himself to the Majin. "Please forgive King Gringotts and Griphook for not greeting you upon arrival; they're dealing with the Minister of Magic and his entourage for the moment."
"I see, understandable." Diablo shrugs, nothing to do about it. "I take it that King Gringotts sent you to meet with us." He smiles at him.
Ripclaw nodded, placing his hand on his chest. "You are correct, Lord Diablo. My King has entrusted me to give you some assistance when going out to Diagon Alley." He informed the Tempest residence.
Harry blinks, realizing what the Pale Hobgoblin means by assistance. "You're going to cast a glamour charm on them." The young Majin said, seeing the white aura around his palms.
"Glamour charm?" Shuna asked, not hearing that kind of charm before.
"Wait, what are you-" Gabiru's face panicked, seeing the aura travels to the group. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH-Wait a moment…" Gabiru stood up, looking at himself. He still retains his usual purple scales and claws. The Dragonewt checks his back and saw his tail and wings.
"We didn't change!" Gabiru looks at Griphook, a bit peeved that the Pale Hobgoblin that he cast a dud spell. "Why did you do that!?" He demanded from the attendant to the King.
"Gabiru-dono, to us it seems the spell didn't work," Diablo informed the Dragon Lord. He grabs the nearby mirror and handed over a mirror.
Gabiru took the mirror; he gaped, nearly dropping the fragile item from his claws. His reflection showed a different person than him.
His appearance is Caucasian with back hair and a violet streak down in the middle. His eyes still retain a lizard-like coloration. "I look human, but I still feel my snout."
"Lord Gabiru, a Glamour charm is like an illusion to the naked eye," Ripclaw explains to the Dragonewt. "Outside of Gringotts, the Wizards despises non-human creatures. These charms will fool them thinking you're human."
Ultima scoffs, "Is that it? I'm just letting you know, some of us look already human." The Pain Lord waved her hands.
"Not quite, Ultima-dono. My horns and Diablo-dono's eyes is a giveaway to the Wizards." Shuna explains to the Primordial Demon of Purple. She looks at the glass reflection, her horns appeared to vanish.
Diablo looks at himself, nothing has changed drastically; just his black eyes were white like a human's. "This will be helpful for us to serve the young master's in public." He fixes his strands of hair.
Harry looks at Ripclaw, patiently for them to be done admiring the Glamour. "Thank you, Griphook, you didn't need to go this far."
"My King insisted, we are allies," Ripclaw said to the group. He took out a pouch filled with galleons. "Griphook took the liberty to retrieve the needed amount for your Hogwarts supplies from your vault young master. If you need more, your guardians can always come here to get some more." He handed the money to Shuna, gladly taking it from his hands.
"Please send King Gringotts our regards, Ripclaw-dono." Diablo thanked the Pale Hobgoblin for his assistance with the money.
"Yeah, thanks, man!" Gabiru grins, slapping the back of the attendant.
Ripclaw coughs at the impact of the Dragon Lord's pats, he looks up with a warry smile. "A-Anytime." He chuckles.
The group left the underground of Gringotts, Harry saw the Pale Hobgoblins in the bank. He was surprised, each of them was standing up against the rude Wizards who were treating them back when they were powerless.
Now they are on par with them, threaten them to close their accounts to their excess leaving them poor. "I have to say, they're more assertive than before," Diablo observes the subordinate of Gringotts.
"I agree, they're more like people." Gabiru smiles at one female Pale Goblina who giggles at him.
Harry observes the Pale Hobgoblins, they are more social than before. Some were arguing with Purebloods but those who presume to be Muggle-born are like the ones in Muggle banks.
Personally, Harry likes the scene before him. 'Harry-sama, we're almost to the door.' Harry blinks, hearing Padfoot in his mind.
"O-Oh, right." Diablo and Gabiru open the door of Gringotts; revealing a bustling alleyway filled with Harry's classmates and their parents.
"So this is the place where Rimuru-sama and you travel to, Diablo." Ultima crosses her arms, interested at the amount of weak Magicule signatures in the area (Other than the Pale Hobgoblins). "I have to say, they're all weak."
Diablo sighs, finding the same feeling as the Primordial Demon of Purple is feeling now. "Yes, Ultima. They're all weak, but remember our young master is like that once." He glared at her with piercing yellow eyes.
Ultima felt a chill down her spine, "Apologies, young master." She inclines her head to her charge.
Harry waves it off, finding it's no big deal. "No, you don't need to apologize Ultima. You're just stating facts, that's all."
"Awe, thank you, young master!" Ultima reverts to her cheery self.
Shuna cleared her throat, gaining the groups' attention. "Forgive me for interrupting Harry-sama, but we do have a schedule to keep." She reminded the young Majin of their purpose in Diagon Alley.
"You're right, Shuna." Harry took out the parchment from his satchel, he looks at the list reading it thoroughly. "So the easiest things to get his books from the bookstore." He told his guardians.
Gabiru patted his young master's back with a big smile. "Then let's get to it! Lead the way young master!" He laughs, not noticing that everyone is looking at them.
Harry couldn't help but laugh at Gabiru's optimism, he's glad he's here.
The group travels down the pathway to the bookstore, Harry paused seeing a familiar face coming out of the store.
Hermione walks out of the bookstore looking at the sky. "Harry, where are you…" she turns to the left and saw the same black untamed hair boy. He wore a dark green coat with short sleeves with a grey shirt underneath, jeans with brown boots accompany the look.
"Harry!" Hermione rushed over to her first friend, for at least two months.
"H-Hermione, I didn't expect you to be here." Harry blinks at the sudden appearance of his friend.
Hermione playfully punches Harry, chuckling to herself. "Where were you, when I heard that the Dursleys were brutally murdered on the telly, I feared the worst that you might've been kidnapped." She said to her friend. "Not even the headmaster knows your whereabouts.;
Harry eyed Diablo, chuckling to himself at the night they first met. "Well, things led to another so…"
"A pleasant way to say it, Harry-sama," Ultima said sarcastically.
Harry looks at Ultima who was whistling innocently. "Ultima, can you please not do this right now," he begs, feeling she might tease him later.
The Pain Lord waved her hands, playfully ignoring his plea. "Eh,"
"Harry-sama, is this one of your friends from Hogwarts?" Shuna asked the young Majin.
Hermione didn't realize that people were standing next to her friend. "Harry? Who are these people?" She asked, never seeing such a unique group of people in her life-wait is her hair pink.
Harry looked at Hermione, looking at his guardians. He then realized that he didn't even introduce them to her. "Harry-sama, are you going to introduce us to your friend?" Ultima asked her charge, smirking at him.
"Ultima!" Harry hissed before sighing. He looks at Hermione, his hand motioning to the Tempest residence. "Hermione these are my guardians that my dad assigned to accompany me."
"Wait, DAD!?" Hermione shouted in disbelief, can't believe what she's hearing. "But Harry, James Potter is your dad; how is that possible?"
{Note: The individual Witch known as Hermione Granger is trying to-}
'How about you shut up, I can clearly see that!' Harry looks up, yelling at the annoying voice (Without knowing how helpful she is of course.) He looks down at Hermione, looking at her as if she missed something.
"Hermione, haven't heard of adoption? (Sorta)." Harry places his hand on his side.
Hermione blushed, completely forgetting that's a reasonable explanation. "O-Oh, sorry. I forgot." She laughs. "So…"
"Ah," Harry motions to the Oni Princess. "Hermione, this is Shuna,"
Shuna gently grabs the side of her kimono, inclining her head. "Greetings Hermione-san, I've been assigned by my lord as Harry-sama's personal aid. You may call me Shuna," she smiles.
Hermione jumps, inclining her head in respect. "N-Nice to meet you, Ms. Shuna." She replied, 'A foreigner? Japanese probably.' She deduced,
Harry moves on to the back, "This is mine and my dad's butler-"
"Call me Diablo, Hermione-dono. I serve as Rimuru-sama's second secretary and now guardian to the young master." Diablo smiles at the curious witch, "I'm also Harry-sama's instructor and a member of the Twelve Patrons of Rimuru-sama."
Hermione smiles, hiding the questionable expression of his name. "N-Nice to meet you, sir. Also, Twelve Patrons?"
"Behind me is one of the Twelve Patrons or executives, Gabiru." Harry motions the Caucasian behind him.
"Yo! My name's Gabiru, I'm one of the witnesses of our lord's adoption of the young master." The Dragonewt smile. "Just call me Gabiru!"
"Hello, Mr. Gabiru." Hermione greeted the Dragon Lord.
"And over here is-"
"Call me, Ultima. I'm one of the Twelve Patrons known as the Pain Lord." The Primordial Demon of Purple intercepts Harry's introduction.
Harry rolled his eyes at Ultima's outburst, he can only chuckle in response. "Sorry about her, Hermione. She's just cheery."
Hermione shook her head, "N-No, I'm just surprised that…you have someone to call your dad. And have his subordinates treating you like their prince." She jokes, not getting why they are laughing.
"Y-Yeah, so you're here to collect your Hogwarts supplies?" Harry asked his friend he made last term.
The bushy-haired girl nodded, turning to her parents inside the bookstore. "Yeah, my parents are inside with the Weasleys-By Merlin, when your sudden disappearance was announced Ron's family along with Dumbledore's associates search all over Britain for you!" Hermione informed the long-lost boy. "They're going to be so pleased to see you well Harry!"
"Um, yeah…" Harry sweats, Shuna and Diablo notice the cold sweat that their young master has on his brow.
Hermione took Harry's hand and leads him inside the bookstore. "By the way, did your adoptive father brought you contact lenses? You're not wearing your glasses, Harry."
Harry blinks, not realizing he wasn't wearing glasses at all. He didn't know that even when he went to Tempest. "You can say that." He chuckles.
Diablo and the others follow the young Majin inside the bookstore that Hermione girl is leading them to. Once inside Diablo turns to the three, "Gabiru-dono, Ultima, I need you two to find the books listed on Harry-sama's list for school." He informed the Pain and Dragon Lord.
Gabiru saluted, determined to fulfill his task to the young master. "Yes! Diablo-sama!" He rushed up, remembering the exact titles of the books.
Ultima shrugs, also not wanting to disappoint the young Majin. "Alright, but I'm not good at looking at things thoroughly." She followed Gabiru up the stairs.
"Diablo-sama," Shuna waited patiently for him to face her. "Harry-sama's waiting for us with his friend." She told the Magic Lord.
Diablo nodded, walking over to the end of the store. "Let's not keep him waiting, Shuna-dono."
"Now, you give me this and I'll get it to sign for you." Molly took Ron's books off his hand. "You all wait outside, alright? I'll get this sign for you all."
"Kay, Mum." The Weasley's children replied to their mother.
Arthur helps guide his children to the exit. "This way children, this way."
Ginny followed where her father's arms are motioning to the exit. She saw Hermione, coming towards them. "Hermione! Where were you? You're parent-AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! IT'S HARRY POTTER!" Ginny shouted, pointing her finger at them.
Everyone turns around, hearing the missing Boy-Who-Lived. They shifted their heads over to where the daughter of the Weasleys family is pointing to. Molly nearly dropped all of her books at the sight of the kind boy. "Harry! Where have you've been!?" She places the books on an empty table and rushed over.
"M-Mrs. Weasley, every-Gah!" Harry was quickly engulfed by Molly's motherly hug.
"Don't you ever disappear like that! You hear me, Harry?' Molly pushes him away from her body, her hands on her shoulders. "You nearly had us worry to death by your disappearance and your relatives. Oh God rest their souls!" she cried, not knowing what's actually going on with them.
Harry flinched at the mere mention of his horrid relatives, something he was glad that Diablo took care of them (Even if it's from a miscommunication.). "Thanks, Mrs. Weasley," he looks up at Arthur, patting his shoulder.
"Glad to have you here with us Harry, I'm happy you're unharmed," Arthur said, caring for the boy like one of his sons.
"Thank you, Mr. Weasley-"
"Harry, mate! You were gone without anything to give us a clue!" Ron said a bit peeved that he disappeared without any reason.
Harry scoffs didn't expect much from Ron. "Well hello Ron, been almost two months." He smiles.
"Two months without a letter! Mate, I wrote to you at least a dozen times!" Ron smirks before shaking it off. "Anyways, it's nice to have you back."
"Hello, Harry! Glad you aren't dead!" The twins' grin, arms on each other's shoulders.
Hermione jumps seeing her parents going over to them. "Ah, Harry this is my mum and dad; Jasmine and Edward Granger."
"Oh, nice to meet you two." Harry held his hand out to Hermione's parents.
"Oh my, how gentlemanly you are Mr. Potter." Jasmine gasps, obliging to the gesture.
Edward smiles, shaking his hand. "A pleasure to meet you, Harry, I'm sorry to hear about your relatives." He felt sorry for the boy, hearing it from the news.
"Um, thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Granger." Before anyone could greet Harry's return, a short man came out of the backroom.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome." Everyone turns around to the counter, excited to finally meet the one they praise for his adventure.
Harry looks at the person walking out of the back room; he looks back feeling both Shuna and Diablo coming up to him. "Gilderoy Lockhart!" Applause erupts from the room for the legend of legends.
Diablo looks at the pompous man, smiling at everyone with a smile that is filled with overconfidence. "By the looks of it and the books he wrote, this Wizard is a faker." The Demon Butler informed his charge.
Harry looks up at his butler, hearing what he just said. "Really?" he looks at Lockhart, trying to read him.
{Note: By the way, the individual Wizard: Gilderoy Lockhart, is smiling, the smooth skin, and the fabric of the outfit he's wearing. The evidence has shown that he's a fraud.} the voice explains in Harry's head.
'Wow, you can tell all that by just looking at him?' Harry asked the voice.
{Answer: Yes.}
Harry's eyes flatten, hearing the voice's answer. "Of course you would give a simple answer." He mutters.
"Did you say something, Harry-sama?" Shuna looks at her charge, swearing she heard something from him.
"Mmm? Oh, nothing Shuna." Harry smiles at the Oni Princess; moving to the side for the photographer to get through.
Lockhart was posing for each shot the photographer is taking, making sure he has his good side. When he shifts to the left. His eyes caught Harry in a fabulously constructed garment. "My word. It's Harry Potter." He said, his words caught the ears of the photographer.
"Harry Potter!' The photographer shuffles over to the young Majin, about to forcibly grab his jacket. "Excuse me madame but this is for the Dail-GAAHHH!"
Everyone gasps at Diablo, tightly holding the photographer's wrist for almost touching his young master. "Who gave you permission to lay a hand on the young master, Wizard?" Diablo eyes the old man, his yellow eyes pierce the soul of this man.
"N-No one, S-S-Sir. I-I was doing my j-job for the Prophet." The photographer gulps, feeling more fear from this man than Voldemort himself. Diablo just ignores his reason and continues his slow punishment.
Shuna places Harry behind her, protecting him with her body. "Are you alright, Harry-sama?"
Harry looks at Diablo, still squeezing the man's wrist; he could hear his bones crack from where he stood. "Diablo, can you let him go?" he pleads with the Demon; he should've anticipated this might happen.
Diablo lets the man's wrist, letting him fall to the ground. He turns to the young master, placing his gloved hands on his chest. "Forgive me, Harry-sama. I was protecting you just as your father instructed me."
Harry sighs that this happened again. "I swear you need to learn to depict things, Diablo."
Diablo chuckles, "Of course, young master."
"H-Harry, w-what just-"
Harry saw the fear in everyone's eyes of Diablo. He sighs, "Uh…so in short, Diablo is like my family butler." He smiles, hoping this answer would suffice.
{Note: Your explanation is too short for them to properly-}
'Oh, will you just shut up!' Harry groans in his mind before looking at the Wizards.
After a few moments of recuperating, they have finally had a moment for an explanation from Harry. "So, about what happened," Harry said, watching some Healers take away the injured photographer out.
"Yeah, that guy who is oddly standing next to you unnaturally who injured that photo guy." Ron crosses his arms. "What's his deal with you? And who is this…beat-prett- I mean nice looking girl with you?" Ron asked.
"Wow,"
"Ronnikins has a little,"
"Crush," the twins smirks at the stutter their youngest brother just did.
Molly looks at the unnatural man before her. "Excuse me, but what's your relation with Harry Potter…Mr-"
"You may call me Diablo." The Demon smiles unnaturally. "And for your information, the young master has been adopted by my lord and master. The Great Rimuru Tempest as his son and heir." He proclaims proudly.
"Tempest? I never heard of that before." Hermione commented,
"Yes, well it's a far and small town that nobody here had heard about it. It's also named after Rimuru-sama, making Harry a Tempest." Shuna informed them. "Please forgive me, my name's Shuna; I'm Harry-sama's personal aid." She inclines her head to them.
The Weasleys look at each other, confused about all of this. "Aid? Why would Harry need an aid?" Arthur asked, concern for the boy in question.
"Don't ask, it's what Rimuru-sama deems it necessary for it." Everyone looks up seeing a purple-haired girl in a black uniform with a skirt.
"Ultima, can you come down from the railings?" Diablo asked his fellow Primordial Demon to join them. "And get Gabiru-dono-"
"Hold on, Diablo-sama!" Gabiru appeared near the edge of the stairs with a hand full of books. "I just found the needed books that the young mas-TER NEEEEDDDDDD!" The Dragonewt lost his footing and fell down the flight of stairs, hitting his head on each step.
Ultima sighs, seeing the Dragon Lord making a fool of himself in the pile of books he knock over. "(Sigh) I told you not to handle too much Gabiru!" She skips on the stack of books, gracefully landed on the ground in front of the Wizards.
"Greetings Wizards, I'm one of the Twelve Patrons of Rimuru; Ultima." The Primordial Demon of Purple greeted the group,
Gabiru's hand erupts from the books, still disoriented from the fall. "AnD I'm, GaBiRu, aLsO a PaTrOn oF tHe GrEaT RiMuRu." His voice sways from the dizziness.
Harry couldn't help but laugh in joy at Gabiru's failed attempt to go down the stairs. "Gabiru! Y-You're always funny when you're not even trying!" he laughs,
In the Wizard's eyes this is all too confusing, weird, and most of all…concerning Harry's well-being. These people are too strange for their taste, Molly took it upon herself to say something. "W-Why not we pay for the books and have lunch back at the Leaky Cauldron to get to know each other? How about it…Mr. D-Diablo?" She asked, seeing he's the ringleader of this troupe.
Harry looks at the Demon, "Can we Diablo? I'm sure Dad and the others won't mind that we stayed for a bit." He asked the butler.
Diablo thought for a moment, thinking what his master would do. Obviously, he would accept the offer knowing him. "Sounds delightful, Mrs. Weasley. We can nurse Gabiru-dono in a room."
"I'm FiNe!" Gabiru shouted, his hand fell back into the pile.
"Do you happen to have healing potions on you perhaps?" Shuna asked, giving a wary smile.
