Summary: Sheriff comes to save Lewis and gets more than he expected but just what he wanted.
Sheriff walked into Lewis' cell and frowned at the form kneeling in front of the window. That didn't look like Lewis. His hair was cropped short, as though his head had been shaved a couple weeks before. His clothes hung loosely around his starved form, and he mumbled inaudible words. Sheriff bit his bottom lip and listened, detached, as the guard shut the door, the keys clanging, rusted metal on rusted metal.
Lewis stood shakily. Tears rimmed his eyes, "Sheriff, I knew you'd come." His friend pulled him into a hug. Lewis smelled of sweat and steely resolve. His ribs could be felt as he pulled his friend into a bone crushing hug.
Sheriff put a finger under his chin, "Lewis, I have to tell you, I wasn't sure if I would come."
Lewis looked at the ground, then suddenly back at Sheriff. "You want some tea? I could make you some tea?" He was so wildly excited at the thought, Sheriff couldn't say no. He drank the cold tea and barely stomached it, but smiled to satisfy Lewis' curious glances. Lewis stared at him.
"What is it Lew?"
"I just," again, the tears threatened, "I sat hear praying, and I couldn't think of one single reason I'd come back for you. Not one."
"It's ok, Lew. It's alright. I didn't just come back for you."
Lewis cocked his head. "Who then?"
"Your lawyer."
Lewis dropped his cup and the tea spilled onto the cement floor, slowly seeping into it. Sheriff watched it with an odd fascination and saw all of the other stains there. He wondered what they were. He wondered if he wanted to know.
"Not for me?"
Sheriff frantically shook his head. "I came back for you too, but there was more than one reason, Lew."
"If there was anything to come back for, it would be you."
Sheriff considered this for a moment. He finally understood and pointed to himself, "You mean? Me? You would have…?" Lewis nodded, understanding that your "best friend" had a crush on you could be confusing. Especially when they were the same gender and you were no where near the vicinity of being gay. Suddenly, Sheriff's gaze softened and he smiled.
"I never really thought about it, but I guess it's the same way here."
He got on the ground, kneeling across from Lewis. He grasped the filthy face in his hands and kissed salty lips. Tears mingled with the kiss. "Sheriff," Lewis' protests were muffled, "I don't know…'
Sheriff pulled away, "But I do." He kissed up and down the side of Lewis' jaw bone, and along his collar bone. He leaned back to pull off the man's shirt and couldn't help but stare. Lewis, who had already been scrawny looked as though he had lost 50 pounds. His body was really just skin and bones.
Sheriff ran a hand along his ribs, feeling each one and Lewis shivered. It had been so long since someone had touched him like that. He leaned back toward Sheriff and kissed him again, relishing the feeling of contact with another human being. He cock was hard in his pants, and he could see Sheriff struggling to get out of his.
The sex was raw. Want and need and years of lust fighting urgently from both men. They grunted and ground against each other, nothing below them but the concrete ground and their clothes. Sheriff breathed heavily and pulled on his clothes just as the guard was coming back. He turned to Lewis, who was sitting on the floor, smiling. "Don't worry Lew, we'll get you out."
Oh, how wrong he was.
