Again let me know what you think and here is the story. I do not own RWBY or Game of Thrones they belong to their respective owners.
FIRE and BLOOD in Remnant Ch 3
Promises and Betrayal
Remnant a land full of beauty and peace, is what a foolish person would think because outside the kingdoms it wasn't, it was a fight for survival and a certain boy was doing just that as he ran through the forest at great speed with a pack of Grimm right behind him Beowulf's to be specific.
Draegon Targaryen was his name he had silver and white short hair, was 12 years old he wore black shorts and a red t-shirt and running shoes as he was being chased by these nasty looking Grimm. Now someone would wonder why is this kid be chased by Grimm in the first place and why wasn't anyone helping him well the answer is simple its because he was training. He was training to survive in all sorts of situations that were thrown his way in this one it would be to survive the Grimm without a weapon.
As he was running through the forest, he was being watched by two people. One was an old man with grey hair in combat armor with a pair of Katanas strapped to his waist. His name was Jack Jewel a retired Huntsmen who was now the Marshal of the nearby village called Sky Village. Next to him was a beautiful woman with Silver white hair in a black dress with a red cloak behind her. (Game of Thrones season 7 Dress) Her name was Daenerys Targaryen and she was Draegons mother.
Jack was teaching Draegon how to fight with a sword because he did not like to use dust, he felt it was a waste of energy and resources and that one should make themselves stronger with a sword instead of a gun because what would happen if you ran out of bullets then what. He also taught Draegon how to fight without swords because if you lose your sword you would have to improvise with whatever you can find including your own bare hands.
Daenerys taught him to read and write and learn all they could about Remnant because it was there home now. She wanted her son to live a life in his own way and to do that you need to be strong and smart. She never told him what she learned in Westeros because she wanted her son to live a normal life in peace and she hoped he wouldn't become a pawn to these Gods when she passes on which could happen soon. Daenerys shook her head and tried not to think about it.
As she continued to watch him run through the forest, she thought back to the day she first arrived to this village on the back of her great Dragon named Drogon.
(Flashback)
Drogon had finally exited the portal to another world and he let out a massive roar as he was doing it. Daenerys still holding on to him and all of the supplies she brought with them let out a sigh of relief as the crossing was a success. She looked down as baby Draegon laughed happily as he was flying through the air on the back of fire breathing Dragon. Dany was wondering where could she find a home for all three of them. Fate seemed to have a strange way of acting because as soon as she finished the thought, she heard a roar in the distance and it didn't sound like another Dragon. Drogon heard it as well and turned his head to the left, Dany followed his gaze and she saw smoke rising in the distance next to some mountains. She shifted on Drogon and he turned and started to fly in the direction of the rising smoke.
When she arrived and was hovering in the air, she saw monstrous creature's latter learned as Ursa's and Beowulf's attacking the village wall. She also saw men on the wall shooting them with weapons she never saw before but it looked like the were doing little effect. Daenerys positioned herself on Drogon as he let out a massive roar and dived down. The Grimm stopped attacking and the villages stopped firing and all looked up to see Drogon diving right towards them.
"Dracarys," Dany shouted as Drogon blasted the Grimm with his fire. The Grimm Screamed in pain before they all evaporated into ash. As Drogon flew over the town the people could only stare in disbelief. A Dragon just appeared out of thin air and desolated the whole horde of Grimm with one blast. Daenerys guided Drogon to land in the burnt area because the fire was dissipating and she climb off of him and started walking towards the village. Jack being the only surviving Huntsman that was hired to protect this village walked forwards to meet this stranger that was riding a Dragon which he was still coming to terms with. While walking closer he noticed the baby wiggling around in the cloth that was holding him and was slightly surprised that the woman was carrying a baby along with the swords and backpack. He came to the conclusion that this woman was looking for a home for herself and the baby.
"I guess the best I can say is thank you very much Miss…"
"Daenerys Targaryen, the Dragon behind me is named Drogon and this little bundle of excitement is my son Draegon."
"Well Daenerys Sky Village is in your dept and judging by what you're carrying my best guess is that you're looking for a new home which we could give you and there are caves in the hills up there if your Dragon is looking for someplace to live," said Jack.
Dany smiled "It's true we are looking for home but I'm surprised you're really calm about Drogon being 15 feet behind me." Jack just sighed "well with all the Grimm and other creatures that live here in Remnant I wouldn't be surprised if a Dragon lived here but it is still a shock because no one has ever seen a Dragon before."
"Our old home was very isolated but and earthquake happened which destroyed out village along with many people I fear no one else is alive," said Dany while comforting Draegon. She didn't want to tell him that they came from another world because that would be very confusing and she didn't want that attention drawn to her family.
Jack smiled and nodded "Welcome to Sky Village."
(End Flashback)
Daenerys couldn't believe how much time flew by since she came to this village with her sons. People were scared of Drogon whenever he flew by to go hunting but eventually, they got use to him because he wanted bigger food and he didn't destroy the village. Dany noticed that Drogon was still growing and from what she read in her book Drogon was right now still only half the size of Balerion but he was only 21 years old and Balerion died at the age 208 probably no one knows the exact age he died. Drogon found a large cave up in the mountain to sleep and everyday he would come down to see how Dany and her son were doing before taking off again. Sometimes Dany would fly on him just so she never forgets the feeling and sometimes he would just take off and go looking for food. Daenerys was fine either way because as she always told herself, "A Dragon is not a slave."
People really loved herself and little Draegon she made sure she taught her son how to be kind and polite to other people. Girls already started crushing on him but he was too shy to talk to them and he didn't want to embarrass himself. As Draegon grew Dany kept wondering if this was how Jon grew up even though he was raised as a bastard was, he at least loved by some people. Dany did miss Jon a lot but she had to move on and focus on looking after their son. A son he would never get to see because they were worlds apart.
Dany always kept a close eye on Draegon to make sure he wasn't going to turn mad like she did or her ancestors. However, Draegon didn't at all whenever he got angry or sad, he just took deep breaths and let it go. When Dany asked how he was able to do that he said that Master Jack taught him while they were training so he could focus better in battling. Maybe since the Iron throne was destroyed all the madness was gone but it wouldn't hurt just to be sure.
Daenerys had also read through the book Fire and Blood which told all the Major Stories of her ancestors starting from the Doom of Valyria, to Aegon's Conquest, The Dance of Dragons, the Blackfyre rebellions, and Robert's rebellion with the Targaryen's reigning as Kings and Queens. When she read these stories to Draegon he couldn't help but feel sad that his ancestors were tearing each other apart. During the Dance of the Dragons, he felt really sad for the Dragons being forced to kill each other on behalf of the Targaryen's and realized that his ancestors are the reason the Dragons are nearly extinct. Draegon only seemed to like the stories about his ancestors that did amazing accomplishments such as Aegon the Conqueror, Jaehaerys the Wise, Daeron the young Dragon, and Ameon the Dragon Knight. While he hated the stories of his ancestors that went mad with power. Maegor the Cruel, Aegon the Unworthy, and his own grandfather/ great-grandfather Aerys the Mad King. Draegon made a vow that he would be different than them since he is the first Targaryen child to ever grow up in Remnant. Daenerys smiled when he told her that and she decided to write a Dairy about her history so that he would never forget her adventures and he would be able to learn about them as well.
Daenerys was brought out of her when Draegon jump through a large cluster of bushes and grabbed hold of a vine to swing across a deep canyon with a river and pointy rocks to get to the other side. He made to the side but the Grimm didn't look before they jumped and fell into the Canyon and died upon the impact of rocks.
Draegon swung and shouted "That's why Dragon's rule because no matter what we can fly." While jumping from the vine and did an awesome front flip.
Jack and Dany laughed and shook their heads before walking down to him.
"Well thought Draegon I'm impressed," Daenerys spoke.
"Thanks Mom I learned from the best," he replied before looking over at Jack.
"Awl stop you're going to make me blush," he said. "Anyway, now that's done its time for you to go and practice your sword training with gravity dust weights and practice swords."
"Man, I wanted to train with Blackfyre and Dark Sister," said Draegon with a slight pout.
"Draegon, you know that those swords are really light so you won't build up much muscle and I still don't know what kind of metal is called Valyrian steal but whatever it is, it's so sharp it could almost cut a person's arm off even if they have aura on them so be careful when you use them because those swords are meant to kill," Jack spoke with seriousness.
Draegon sighed and complied before walking back to his homes training ground. Daenerys watched him leave before feeling a gust of wind, she turned around and Drogon landed on the ground right in front of her while Jack backed away in fear. Daenerys smiled and started petting him on the snout while Drogon cooed in compliance.
"No matter how many times he does that I'm still startled," Jack said while shaking his head. "You know since you've come here to this village you've been flying on him less and less and you only let Draegon fly on Drogon unless you're with him, why is that?"
Daenerys sighed before looking at Jack then back at Drogon, "My time is almost up in this world so I want to prepare Drogon so he knows he'll have a new rider to take my place because a Dragon will only accept one Targaryen rider at a time if Draegon tries to fly Drogon by himself I fear he might get thrown him off."
Jack nodded at her reasoning but frowned, "you still haven't told him about your condition to only live till he's 13 years old and his birthday is in a few days. It's going to break his heart you know."
"Yes, but I don't want Draegon to know of the pain and burdens that will be placed on him I hope he can live a normal life in this village as a warrior and as a Dragon rider." Daenerys looked up at Drogon before looking back at Jack, "Promise me you'll look after him after I'm gone and don't let his anger cloud his judgement, please."
"I promise," said Jack while Drogon purred like a cat before licking Dany with affection causing her to giggle.
Draegon was in his homes training yard working up a sweat as he had Gravity infused dust bracers on his arms and legs and he was training with a heavy wooden sword. He wanted to protect everyone with his skill as a swordsman especially his mom and his brother Drogon. Speaking of which he saw Drogon taking off into the sky and was heading back to his cave up in the hills. Draegon smiled and continued his training he wondered what it would be like to fly Drogon by himself. When he flew with his mother on Drogon he felt free it was the greatest experience ever he felt sorry for his ancestors who came after the Dance for they missed their chance to feel free. He'll get his chance someday he just has to be patient. He kept training as his mother came walking by and started working on Dinner.
"Hey mom you sure you don't want to learn how to use a sword you would be great at it," Draegon smiled while asking his mom.
"No thanks, I've given up on fighting I'd rather just be living happy with you and Drogon," she replied before walking over to him carrying two plates that had lamb ribs, Draegon always loved eating meat but he also liked vegetables. Draegon put the sword down and walked over to her as she handed him a plate and they both sat down on the outside chairs and watched the sun starting to set.
"Your birthday is in a few days anything in particular you want?" Dany asked. "I know one of the things you want is to display our families 3 head Dragon symbol in combat clothes but is there anything else?
"What was dad like? Is he still alive? Does he know where we are? What we're doing?" Draegon asked with hopefulness. Daenerys sighed hoping he wouldn't ask about Jon because she didn't want him to end up hating his father. She looked at him and smiled.
"When it's your Birthday well talk about, you're your father I promise." Dany replied.
Draegon smiled and nodded as they continue to eat and watch the beautiful sunset with Drogon flying in the distance. Little did they Know everything was going to change.
The next day Draegon woke up at the crack of dawn before the sun even rose and went to a secret part of the house quietly. There was chest and inside he opened it to reveal 3 special treasures. The Dragon eggs that his mother was given on the day Draegon was born. Daenerys tried hatching the eggs by burning the dead when she first arrived here like she did with Drogon and his brothers' eggs, but that didn't work and she tried keeping them warm but nothing has happened. They still haven't hatched but Dany hasn't given up on them she believes Draegon will hatch them one day and if he does when they get big enough, he could ride them or his future children could because someone has to take care of Drogon. Draegon placed the eggs in to the fire place and lit it he knew they wouldn't hatch but at least he could try. Once he was done, he sat down and pulled out his mom's journal of her adventures in Essos and Westeros and started reading. Whenever his mother wasn't writing and when Draegon had time off from his training he would read because he wanted to find out what his mom's life was like before she had him. He read about her life with the Dothraki to the Unsullied to her reign in Meereen to her journey to her ancestors' home of Dragonstone. When Draegon read he sometimes would dream about going on an adventure with his mother. As he mused over his thoughts Daenerys walked in and found out what he was doing before shaking her head.
"I thought I told you to let me finish the dairy before you start reading it," Dany said with a chuckle and a raised eyebrow.
"Come on mom you me I have a strong curiosity," Draegon spoke before closing the book since he didn't want to face his mother wrath. "Do you ever miss the people you've written about in that book?" He wondered.
"All the time but there is nothing I can do to bring them back, remember what I told to Draegon if I ever look back…."
"….I am lost," Draegon finished with a smile. Daenerys smiled back and was about to say something else when an explosion occurred outside. Both ran outside they saw the village was under attack but not by Grimm this time it was bandits.
"Daenerys Draegon," Jack shouted as he ran up to them in his combat armor with his swords strapped to his waist and carrying a black backpack. "Were under attack by the Dark Suns where's Drogon," he said scared and he had every right to be the Dark Suns was the only bandit tribe that could rival the Branwen tribe in power and numbers.
"Drogon left for his day long hunt he won't be back until tomorrow," Daenerys said with sudden realization coming to her as she spoke. "They knew about him; they knew he lived in this village and planned out when he would be gone long enough for them to attack. Someone has betrayed the village and us."
"Who would do this mom we are practically friends with everyone," Draegon said with surprise and a little bit of sadness.
Daenerys herd metal being drawn and her eyes widen and quickly dove Infront of Draegon taking a large cut on her back. Draegon turned in horror and shouted.
"MOM," with so much fear before looking over to see that Jack was holding the sword with blood dripping from it as he narrowed his eyes.
"Why," Draegon said with fear and sadness as he held his mother Daenerys.
