A giant spaceship elegantly glided through the emptiness of Space. It was mostly in a dark black color with some parts being painted red. On the side of the ship, was a yellow circle with the black silhouette of a bold man with an impressive mustache. This was the EGG-Space Carrier, the newest model of a long line of battleships dubbed as the Egg Carrier. But this one was unique from many others, beyond its enormous size.

On the bridge of the mighty vessel, in a big chair, sat no one but the evil super genius Ivo Robotnik, better known as the evil Doctor Eggman. He was sternly looking over some data, while thinking about his current project. At Least he tried too but his gaze kept falling on a small pendant that was sitting next to him on a small table. He clenched his fist and forced himself to look away.

'Soon,' he thought. 'If everything goes as planned, I will soon find her, my precious little Elise.'

He opens the locket and revealed an old picture. It was him, much younger with actual hair on his head, dressed in a black suit and long black coat with red waistcoat. But even back then, he had already a mustache, if not nearly as wild and untamed as today.

Besides him was a beautiful woman with long brown hair, dressed in a white lab coat. This… this was his former wife, Melinda. Besides Eggman was a young man, also dressed in a black suit. Agent Stone, Eggman's former best friend and frankly the only human, besides his wife, that he fully trusted unconditionally…also he loved the way he made his Lattes! But his gaze was fixated on the small baby in Melinda's arms. Elise Robotnik. His little sprocket… his daughter.

Many years ago, he was a renowned scientist. His research on the field of Robotics would have revolutionized the planet! But…everything fell apart when GUN came into play. When the current commander took over he stripped Robotnik of all funding, all because he was the grandson of Gerald Robotnik. Unannounced, GUN raided his laboratory… and gunned down Agent Stone, who tried protecting his wife and gave her time to escape.

She fled into the laboratory, attempting to use his prototype Egg Mobile to escape but he never found a power source to get the damn thing running properly. So all it did was stutter a bit before crashing down. At the time he was experimenting with Chaos Energy, and he had a machine hooked up to a chaos emerald. He didn't know the details but a giant light erupted from the machine and completely annihilated the city.

Instead of admitting their mistake, GUN blamed it all on him. They destroyed his career, his entire life. Eggman could not remember the years that followed, all he knew was that he slowly went insane. He… admittedly never had too stable of a mind. If he hadn't met Melinda, he was certain he would have gone insane much earlier.

The next clear memory he had was him raiding South Island in order to build up his robot army, now a much changed man. His body having rounded out and his hair had fallen out, and his mustache a smaller form of what it is today. There he met that blasted, pesky blue pincushion! And the rest is, as they say, history. It took him many, many years until he even considered researching what happened back then.

The thought was always too painful, but there always was a negging feeling he should look into it. Now, 14 years later, he finally had done it… and oh how he regretted not checking up earlier. Getting records of what happened from GUN's database was shockingly easy and when analyzing the data, the result shocked him.

What happened back then…was an unstable form of Chaos Control. And there was a brief, interdimensional fluctuation before it just went, ironically considering the name, completely uncontrolled and just blasted the whole city to smithereens.

But the form fluctuation… It was dim. Downright impossible…but there was a small chance his wife and daughter might have survived, merely being sent to another dimension instead. He started to work straight away, building the very Egg-Carrier he was currently sitting in.

Gathering all Seven Chaos Emeralds without anyone noticing was a challenge, but they were needed in order to allow the whole ship to cross the dimensional borders. All that needed to be done was copying the frequency of the dimensional rift, which was the easiest part, and off they'd go.

The good Doctor was finally brought out of his musings by Orbot, one of his robot assistants.

"Sir, the final preparations are complete!" Spoke the orb shaped robot.

"Excellent! So we are ready to go?" The robot nodded at his master's question.

"Very well then. Then it's time to go!" He pressed some buttons on his chair. First seat belts wrapped around him and then the Egg Carrier started to move. At first nothing happened, but then, in the generator room, all seven Emeralds lit up. The machine they were attached to pumped the energy into the engines and for a brief moment the entire ship was illuminated in seven different colored lights… before vanishing in a blinding flash!

The ride was…bumpy. Extremely bumpy. The entire ship shook, and some consoles and other things even overloaded and exploded as a result. It only took a few seconds but that was enough for the ship to suffer major damage until it suddenly came to a stop. If he hadn't worn the seatbelts, Eggman would have been flung right out of his chair! Luckily he for once listened to Orbot's suggestion.

"Status report!" He demanded. For a few seconds nothing happened until Orbot finally responded.

"The ship suffered no major internal damage, but we are certainly in no state to do that ever again. Some engines have completely failed, and we have quite a few minor fires in the ship. Also… the Chaos Emeralds' light has… dimmed. It seems using them like this consumed a lot more of their power, and they're currently recharging." Eggman made a loud grumble.

"So much for supposed "infinite power". Whatever, they served their purpose! What about the planet? Are we in a different world?" The screens in front of him showed a diagram of the earth and immediately he could spot differences. The major one was that the moon wasn't blown in half.

Okay, he actually had repaired the moon and then covered it with a fake coat so it would look the same as normally, but he could easily tell that this was the actual original moon.

The planet itself was rather telling. South Island and its neighboring islands were nowhere to be seen. No Green Hill, no Emerald Hill, or anything like that. Scans also showed no signs of Angel Island, which admittedly was always hard to spot, as the Master Emerald actually masked its location on radar.

But then all doubt was washed away… when a small beeping noise was heard. Eggman looked at the screen… At the screen that showed the homing device he placed in a locket that he built for his daughter.

It was sending a signal…from a small island above one of the larger landmasses. He had found her. His little sprocket truly was…alive. For the first time in 14 years… Ivo Robotnik laughed. Not a menacing gleeful laugh. But a happy, relieved laugh. And a small piece…just a very small piece of the man he once was returned to him.

In Number 4 Little Whinging, Surrey, lived the Dursleys. A horrid family that claimed to be completely normal, hating everything that goes against their view of normality, while at the same time hiding an extremely abnormal secret. The neice of Petunia Dursley, was a witch. Elise Potter. A young 14, almost 15, year old girl.

She had long brown hair, and very weird ruby red eyes. For years, Elise suffered under the neglect of her so-called family. She was not physically abused, at least not often, but verbally, often locked in the cupboard under the stairs and referred to as a freak. All her life Elise was told her parents were worthless drunks that died in a car crash, and that her mother was an unfaithful whore, as the man she was married to, James Potter, was not her father.

And while the first turned out to be a lie, the second seemed to sadly be the truth. Ever since she can remember Elise had a locket around her neck. It was a nice silver locket, in the form of a giant metal cog. If you open it, you find a burned picture of two people. Unfortunately, the burnt sections made the face of the woman unrecognizable, but what was still visible was the man standing beside her and a small baby in the arms of the woman.

Elise always assumed that woman was her mother, and the man besides her was her real father. The Dursleys tried many times to get rid of the locket, but it always just reappeared around her neck. By now, Elise assumed her mother had put some charms on it so it always returned to her. She was also the only one who could open it, she only showed the picture inside to three people.

The Dursleys, who had no clue who the man was, wrote him off as just another freak. Although she did hear Vernon grumble how that one at least knew how to properly take care of a mustache. The other people were her godfather, Sirius Black, who honestly didn't even know James wasn't her father and so assumed he must be a distant cousin. Elise couldn't bring herself to tell him the truth. And the other people were her "friends", Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who… didn't react well.

Elise had not willingly told them, somehow, at the end of the year, Rita Skeeter learned of her true parentage and published a horrid article about her mother, and so Elise was forced to tell her two friends the truth. From that on, it was as if she was a notorious liar, Ron constantly bringing up how she lied, and Hermione double questioning everything she told them.

The girl even had the nerve to be skeptical when she claimed Voldemort had returned, but at least had the decency to apologize, and explained that she believed Elise, but her question was more if Elise was sure this was actually Voldemort and not just a guy pretending to be him, which still deeply hurt the young witch.

Ah yes, Voldemort, the madman that killed her "parents" and who everyone is denying is back. And no one was telling her jack shit! For weeks now she was plagued by nightmares about his return, hoping for something, but all she got was vague letters that didn't tell her squat!

Elise was currently not in the Dursleys home, having escaped when she was supposed to be doing chores. She would get a tongue lashing later and probably no food for a week but she didn't care. It was during her walk on an abandoned playground that her locket suddenly started beeping.

"Huh? What's going on?" Elise wondered.

She looked at it curiously. What she always assumed was just a gem in the center of the cog was beeping. Elise had no clue what this could mean, but she was about to find out. Because before she could even properly think about it, something came flying toward her and smashed into the ground in front of her. Elise's eyes were bulging out of her skull, her mouth wide open. In front of her stood a blue… thing.

It was entirely made out of metal and sort of resembled a blue, humanoid…hedgehog? Maybe? Its eyes were glowing red and in its torso was a giant jet engine. The… robot? Was it truly a robot? Just stood in front of her. Staring.

"...Um… c-can I help you?" Evrey normal person would have run away in terror but Elise couldnt help but be… fascinated by what she saw before her. One of her secrets that luckily no one found out, was her love for science, electronics and machinery in general. So seeing this fully functional robot, that seemed to be capable of flight, standing in front of her…

She had to hold herself back to not fall into childish, over-excited fangirling. Carefully, she took a few steps closer. The robot was smaller than her, but not much.

"So…who are you? Who built you? How do you function? What's this metal you're built out of? Can you actually fly? How effective are those claws? What's your max speed? What processor is your mind running on?" Before Elise even could stop herself, she started questioning the machine at a rapid pace.

The robot didn't seem to mind. Although with it having no facial features, it was hard to tell. That is, if it even has an AI to think at all.

"Ho ho ho ho, someone is quite nosy, aren't we?" Elise froze and spun around. She was so distracted by the robot, she hadn't noticed someone standing behind her.

The man was large, dressed in a red uniform with four, large square yellow buttons on it and white lines from them to his back. He wore black pants, going over into black boots and on his hands were white gloves. He had a big nose, was bald, wore glasses that didn't show his eyes, and a pair of goggles on his head. The most notable features were his wild mustache, and the fact the man was kinda shaped like an egg.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Her tone became more aggressive. Elise, if she was honest, didn't like humans. At all. She couldn't help but be hostile towards any stranger she met. It was honestly a small wonder she, Ron and Hermione ever became friends to begin with. She still remembers how she actually made a first year cry because she was so mean to him.

Poor Colin to this day was scared of her. Okay yeah, that one she actually felt guilty about, but she just… cant help it.

"Easy there, girl. I just saw that you were admiring my little Metal Sonic over there." Elise eyes widened. He built this… marvelous machine.

"Metal Sonic? You…You built him? W-Who are you? How did you build something so…so advanced?!"

The man grinned and made a very theatrical bow. Elise didn't see how Metal rolled its eyes at his creator's antics.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Doctor Ivo Robotnik! The greatest scientific genius in the world! But more importantly, Elise," She stiffened. How did he know her name?! He took off his glasses revealing ruby red eyes. His grin became a soft, and sad smile. "I am your father."

Elise froze. She couldn't say anything, she just… stared at him.

"Perhaps you need some proof. Understandable." Out of his pocket, he pulled an identical pendant to hers. He opened it and showed her… an intact version of the burned photo she had in her own locket. Absent-mindedly, she opened hers.

"Hm…. Seems the picture suffered some damage. My poor Agent Stone got burned away completely." Elise noticed the fourth person in her… father's version. Looking at her own, it kinda looked like there was one more person, but Elise never paid it any mind. But what shocked her more was the woman… This wasn't Lily Potter. Was this… her real mother? Was Lily not someone who cheated on her husband? Was she fully adopted by the Potters?

"...Who… Who is Agent Stone? And who is she? Is that…. my real mother?" Doctor Robotnik nodded.

"Indeed. Agent Stone was my former assistant. Loyal to a fault, he also was your godfather. But sadly, the same incident that took you away from me, took him as well… but more permanently." So he was dead. Elise wasn't even all that surprised, that's just her kind of luck.

"As for the woman. Yes, she is your mother. Melinda Robotnik, my sweet lovely wife…. You've… never seen her?" Elise shook her head.

"I always assumed my mother was a woman named Lily Potter and that she cheated on her husband with, well, you… But, I actually never considered being fully adopted. Are you… Are you really?" He nodded and then… anger flared up in Elise.

"WHERE WERE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU ONLY SHOWING UP NOW?!" Robotnik in all honesty expected such an outburst and sat down on a nearby bench.

"That… is a long, long story." And so he began to explain.

And his story was… unbelievable. Alternate realities? Ultimate life-forms? Humanoid animals? A blue hedgehog that runs at supersonic speeds? Seven almighty gemstones? It was almost too fantastical to be true, but at the same time…

Elise believed him. After all, she couldn't find any other explanation how Metal Sonic could exist otherwise. Just one look told her it was more advanced than anything on earth ever could be, at the moment at least. But now she knew why he wasn't there… and that he wasn't exactly a good person.

"So…what now? Are you here to conquer earth?" He just shrugged.

"Perhaps? In all honesty, I didn't really consider it. But we'll see! First and foremost… tell me about yourself. How was your life?"

At first Elise was uncertain if she should tell him about the Wizarding World, but then she remembered the smear campaign currently in the Daily Prophet and she thought.. fuck wizards! They can rot!

And so she told him her life story. The treatment she received from the Dursleys, Hagrid's arrival and her four years at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament and Voldemort's return. Her father… took it surprisingly well.

"Urgh magic. Always a pain to deal with, so this world has it too? Interesting." Elise blinked a bit.

"I'm surprised you believe me so readily." Her father just shrugged. After dealing with mystical gems, flying islands, entities sealed away in the planet core, time travel, ultimate life-forms, an alien invasion, and so much more… There just wasn't really much that surprised him anymore.

"Now, if you don't mind, would you please guide me to those… Dursleys?" His voice took a rather… darker tone.

"...What are you going to do?" She asked warily. She hadn't forgotten that by all accounts this man… was absolutely bonkers.

"Oh don't worry, they won't die. We just get your things and then we'll fly up to the Egg Carrier. Unless you wish to continue living with them?"

"No." Was Elise's immediate reply. "Living with them is now pointless anyway. The protections that kept me there are based on blood, they're not my blood relatives."

While Elise really could care less what happens to the Dursleys… she didn't want them to die. Or her father to do anything…Evil.

"Before we go can- can you promise me something?" He gave her a nod. "Please don't… don't do any bad things. I-I'm sure there are ways to conquer the earth that don't require blood shed!" Eggman looked down at his daughter, able to hear the desperation in her voice. In all honesty… world domination no longer sounded so appealing to him.

All he cared for now was protecting Elise. He was about to agree when suddenly Metal started to move. In a quick blur, it appeared behind Elise and seemed to punch thin air. Seconds later, a woman appeared out of nowhere and landed on the ground, a wooden stick and a cloak falling from her.

"Hostile detected. Threat apprehended." For the first time Elise could hear Metal's voice and it sent a chill down her spine. It was… cold. Deprived of any emotions, yet, at the same time, ungodly terrifying.

Eggman actually felt the same, there was a reason Metal was unable to talk outside of his Neo form, but then Cubot thought it was a fun idea to give Metal this unauthorized enhancement… It's days like these where he legitimately questions why the heck he even keeps that yellow cube around.

Metal then stepped on the stick, apparently figuring out this was one of these "wands" that his master's daughter mentioned. Its sensors had detected the sounds of movements yet were unable to see anything. it quickly changed to heat vision and saw an invisible woman trying to grab its master's daughter. Of course it acted immediately.

"Elise, do you recognize this woman?" Elise looked down. The woman was in her mid 20s, had bubblegum pink hair and was dressed in a mix of wizard robes and muggle clothing.

"No, blet me check something." She bent down and rolled up the woman's sleeves, not finding the Dark Mark. "She doesn't seem to be a Death Eater at least. But why else would she skulk around me in an invisibility cloak?" Eggman stroke his chin.

"Change of plans. Metal, go to her home and get all her things. I don't care for collateral damage, just swoop in, grab it all and get to the Carrier. We, meanwhile, will return straight away… with our little prisoner here." Metal gave a nod and, after being informed where Elise lived and where all her stuff is, also telling Metal to be careful with her.. owl, it quickly left.

Okay, good thing the Carrier had entered the atmosphere by now and was resting in the ocean and not in space. Otherwise, Metal would have no idea how it would get the bird up there safely.

While it flew away, the Egg Mobile landed beside Eggman, causing great fangirling from Elise at seeing such a contraption. The two went in while a claw grabs the unconscious witch and they flew off, not realizing that their meeting had drastically changed the fate of the Wizarding World, in good ways… and in bad ways.
