FIRE and BLOOD in Remnant

Welcome to Beacon Friends or Enemies

Atlas military ships were seen flying around and surrounding Beacon academy and from the top of the tower Ozpin and Glynda looked on.

"Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels," Glynda seethed not happy at what she was seeing.

"Well running an academy and a military makes him a busy man, but yes those are a bit of an eyesore," Ozpin agreed before he heard his desk beep.

"Come in," he replied. The doors opened and General James Ironwood walked in.

"Ozpin," Ironwood said with happiness.

"Hello General," Ozpin said as he walked up to him and stood formal.

"Please drop the formalities it's been to long," Ironwood laughed as he and Ozpin shook hands.

"And Glynda, it has certainly been to long since we've last met," he continued as Glynda walked up and he offered a hug.

"Oh James, I'll be outside," Glynda said bored and annoyed and left.

"Well, she hasn't changed a bit," Ironwood said in surprise as Ozpin walked back to his desk.

"So, what in the world has brought you all the down here from Atlas?" Ozpin asked as he poured coffee in a cup and handed it to Ironwood before continuing. "Headmasters don't typically travel with their students for the Vytal Festival."

"Well, you know how much I love Vale this time of year, besides with you hosting I thought this might be a good opportunity for us to catch up," Ironwood said as he poured some alcohol into his coffee while Ozpin poured his own cup.

"I can certainly appreciate quality time between friends. However, the small fleet outside my window has me somewhat concerned." Ozpin looked directly at Ironwood.

"Well, concern is what brought them here," Ironwood defended.

"I understand travel between kingdoms has become increasingly difficult," Ozpin replied before Ironwood cut him off.

"Oz, you and I both know why I brought those men." Ironwood said seriously. Ozpin took a sip from his cup and sighed.

"We are in a time of peace, shows of power like this are just going to give off the wrong impression," Ozpin said trying to make Ironwood understand.

"But if what Qrow said was true then…" Ironwood started but Ozpin cut him off.

"If what Qrow said is true then we will handle it tactfully, it's the Vytal Festival a time to celebrate with Unity and Peace. So, I suggest you not scare people by transporting hundreds of soldiers halfway across the continent." He clasped his hands together and looked at Ironwood.

"I'm just being cautious," Ironwood said worried.

"As am I, which is why we will continue to train the best Huntsmen and Huntresses we can," Ozpin spoke.

"Believe me I am," Ironwood said. He was about to leave but Ozpin didn't want him to leave upset like that.

"There is some good news," Ozpin said making Ironwood stop and look back at him.

"I know you don't watch much of the Vale news but I solved the mystery," Ozpin said proudly and showed the shadow picture of Drogon. Ironwood went to get a closer look when a beeping sound went off on his scroll.

"Yes," Ironwood answered.

"Sir we have a massive unidentified object approaching the school weapons are loaded and ready to fire," a soldier's voice said on the other end.

"Is it a Grimm?" Ironwood asked before Ozpin spoke up.

"Tell them to stand down," Ozpin said and Ironwood looked at him as if he was crazy.

"Trust me," Ozpin smiled and Ironwood nodded.

"This is General Ironwood to all units stand down, repeat stand down," he said and he heard rogers on his scroll. He looked up to see Ozpin standing by the window and motioned him to come over and see as well. Once Ironwood was standing next to him, he heard something.

"RRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRR," Drogon roared. He appeared out the clouds and Ironwood jumped a little and Ozpin just smiled. Drogon flew over the school and all the Atlas people looked up in shock. Drogon started flying towards the tower and Ironwood could make out Draegon on his back. Draegon motioned Drogon to circle Ozpin's tower and he saw Ironwood and Ozpin. After the display Draegon motioned for Drogon to land in his nest by the cliffs. When it was over Ozpin went back to his desk and sat down. Ironwood was in shock but came to his senses when Ozpin spoke.

"Yes, that was the mystery, Dragons do exist and can be tamed by Targaryen's. Also, interesting fact it seems Grimm have become afraid of him," Ozpin smiled while Ironwood widened his eyes at the mysterious creature that had been traveling around the continent killing a lot of Grimm. Ironwood left contemplating his thoughts but stopped and looked back at Ozpin.

"While that Dragon is impressive and looks tame under the command of that child and scares the Grimm, but ask yourself this…do you honestly believe your children can win a war," Ironwood now angry and left.

"I hope they never have to," Ozpin said sadly.

After his flight with Drogon, Draegon found that the babies were taking a nap in their pen so he joined the rest of Team RWBY and JNPR in the Library. The members of team RWBY were playing a game while team JNPR were studying. Draegon decided to pull out a study book and read while he sat close to team RWBY and see how the game was going. So far Weiss was looking at her cards confused, Yang smirked with confidence, Blake looked completely lost in thought which Draegon noticed and was becoming worried. Ruby was looking ready for a fight.

"Yang Xiao-long prepare your kingdom for battle," Ruby pointed at her.

"Bring it on," Yang said as she pumped her fist.

"I deploy the Atlaesian fleet," Ruby said as she held a card in the air and Yang gasped in shock.

"Looks like I get to fly right over your Urasai and attack your wolves directly," Ruby said as she made plane noises.

"You fiend," Yang gasped in shock again but Draegon could already figure out that Yang was pretending and shook his head.

"And since Atlas is part of Mantle my repair time only last one turn," Ruby smirked but Yang was laughing and Ruby looked nervous.

"Pretty sneaky sis but you just activated my trap card," Yang said as she held up a card with a Nevermore on it. Ruby shrieked in fear.

"Giant Nevermore, If I role a seven or higher Fail feathers will slice your fleet in two," Yang said as she pounded the table.

"But, if you role a six or lower the Nevermore will turn on your own forces," Ruby quickly pointed out.

"That's just a chance I'm willing to take," Yang looked right at Ruby's eyes. Draegon raised an eyebrow at how competitive siblings can get.

Draegon looked to see Ren studying and Nora sleeping on his book. He saw Jaune reading a comic book but Pyrrha took it and replaced it with a study book. Ruby and Yang kept making grunts like they were in a karate tournament and Draegon could see that Ren was getting annoyed.

Draegon looked back to see Ruby had lost and was now crying anime style. "NO," she cried.

"Well Weiss it's your turn," Yang said.

"I have, absolutely no idea what's going on," Weiss said and Yang slide next to her and decided to help her but Draegon saw that Yang was looking at her cards.

"Cheater," Draegon whispered but no one heard him not even Blake.

"Look its easy you're playing as Vacuo. Which means all Vacuo based cards come with a bonus," Yang said.

"That sounds dump," Weiss said. Yang started to move her cards in her hands.

"See you've got Sandstorm, dessert scavenge, oh, oh, resourceful raider, see now you can take Ruby's discard air fleet…" Yang said but paused.

"No," Ruby still cried.

"And put it in your hand," Yang continued.

"Okay," Weiss said starting to get the hang of it.

"And since Vacuo warriors have a boost against natural hazards, you could use sandstorm to disable my forces and simultaneously infiltrate my kingdom. Just know that I will not forget this declaration of war," Yang said darkly and pulled away.

"And that means…" Weiss said still slightly confused.

"Your three moves away from conquering Remnant," Ruby cried with waterfalls as she spoke.

"HAHAHAHAH," Weiss laughed maniacally. "Yes, fear the all-mighty power of my forces, cower as they pillage your home and weep as they take your children from your very arms," she said but Yang showed a card to her face.

"Trap card," Yang said leaving a stunned Weiss as Yang rearranged the board. "Your army has been destroyed," she said and Weiss started crying.

"I hate this game of emotions we play," Weiss cried and Ruby jumped into her arms.

"Stay strong Weiss will make it through this together," Ruby cried and hugged her dramatically.

"Shut up, don't touch me," Weiss cried and hugged Ruby back. A large sweat drop appeared behind Draegon who was watching them.

"It's just a game," he said but Yang smirked at him and he shook his head.

"Alright Blake your up," Yang said and Blake was still lost in thought.

"Huh, oh um sorry what am I doing?" Blake asked.

"You're playing as Vale, trying to conquer the kingdoms of Remnant," Yang answered.

"Right," Blake said and Jaune walked up.

"Hey can I play?" Jaune asked.

"Sorry Jaune we've already got four people," Ruby answered.

"Besides this game requires a certain level of tactical cunning that I seriously doubt you possess," Weiss said snarky.

"Uh you attacked your own naval fleet two turns ago," Yang pointed out and Weiss groaned with annoyance.

"Bring it on Ice Queen, I'll have you know that I have been told that I am a natural born leader," Jaune said proudly.

"By who you mother…" Weiss raised an eyebrow.

"And Pyrrha," Jaune defended.

"Hello again," Pyrrha said behind them.

"Come on let me play your hand for a turn," Jaune begged

"I'm not trusting you with the good citizens of Vacuo," Weiss moved away.

"Why not, you've trusted me with way more important stuff before, I mean you told us all about Draegon and that Blake is secretly a Faun…" Jaune said but Pyrrha covered his mouth.

"Fun loving person whom we all admire and respect and don't judge Draegon for what he used to be because he's our friend," Pyrrha said while Jaune laughed nervously and everyone look to see Draegon closed his book and was close to Blake and both of them had narrowed their eyes.

"Right, that, ladies enjoy your battle," Jaune said as he bowed.

"Sup losers," Sun called out as he walked up with Neptune.

"Hey Sun," Ruby said.

"Ruby, Yang, Blake, Draegon, Ice Queen," Sun said.

"Why does everyone keep calling me that?" Weiss said surprised and annoyed.

"I never got a chance to formerly introduce you to my old friend," Sun said as he pointed to Neptune.

"Uh, aren't Libraries for reading?" Neptune asked.

"Thank you," Ren said dramatically.

"Pancakes," Nora said as she woke up.

"Shut up don't be a nerd," Sun said to him.

"Ah, ah, intellectual ok, thank you," Neptune corrected. "I'm Neptune," he continued as he introduced himself and Draegon noticed Weiss was smiling.

"So, Neptune where are you from?" Weiss said in a flirting tone.

"Haven, and I don't believe I've caught your name Snow Angel," Neptune flirted.

"Um, I'm Weiss," Weiss smiled.

"Are you kidding me," Jaune whispered shouted to Pyrrha.

"Pleasure to meet you," Neptune said smoothly.

"I never took you as the board game playing type," Sun said in surprise to Blake but she was still upset.

"Right, well I think I'm done playing actually I'll see you guy later," Blake said and shoved past Sun who looked confused and so did everyone else except Draegon.

"Women," Nora said.

"You don't understand it," Draegon said as he got up as well but quickly looked at Blake's cards before placing a few on the board.

"Boom spell card, boom trap card, and boom counter trap, Blake's hand allowed her to Conquer Remnant," Draegon said and Yang looked at the cards in surprise that Draegon only needed one turn to win. Everyone looked to see Draegon leave to clear his head.

"I guess I'll never escape being called the Fire Demon," he mumbled but Ruby and Yang heard him and looked at each other worried.

Later in the dorm room Blake was sitting on her bed thinking back at the incident on the docks. She also saw Balerion stretching his wings while Meraxes and Vhagar were playing together.

"Brothers of the White Fang why are you aiding this scum?" Blake asked "The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together," Roman said smugly.

Blake then thought back of her conversation with Ozpin after the incident at the docks.

"Well, this has certainly been an eventful evening," Ozpin spoke up breaking Blake from her thoughts. "I'm sure that after a night of thwarting attempted robbery you probably just want to go home and take a nap but, I was hoping that maybe we could have a chance to talk." He continued and sat down in front of Blake.

"Of course," Blake nodded.

"Wonderful, as you know in order to enroll into my Academy students must first pass a rigorous entrance exam. Most applicants spent years of preparation training at one of the many combat schools around the world. You and Mr. Draegon are some of the few who did not and passed the exam with flying colors," Ozpin said as he took a sip of coffee.

"I was raised outside the kingdoms, if you can't fight you can't survive, Draegon probably has as well," Blake answered.

"Well, you have most certainly survived Blake, I admire your drive and I am proud to run a school that accepts individuals from all walks of life. Rich, poor, human…Faunus," he pauses and looked to see Blake narrowed her eyes. "Why do you wear that bow, Blake? Why hide who you are?" He asked.

"You may be willing to accept the Faunus Professor Ozpin, but your species is not," Blake said and looked away.

"True but we are continuing to take strides to lessen the divide," He replied.

"With all do respect you need to start taking larger strides. Until then I'd rather avoid any unnecessary attention. I want people to see me for who I am not what I am." Blake retorted.

"And what are you?" Ozpin looked at her suspiciously.

"I don't understand what you're asking," Blake said nervously.

"How did you know the White Fang would be at the shipyard tonight?" He asked.

"I didn't, I just happened to be at the right place at the right time." Blake answered.

"You wouldn't have been the first," Ozpin smiled before continuing. "But what happened tonight was not an isolated incident. I may be your headmaster but I am also a Huntsman and it is my sworn duty to protect this world from the forces that conspire against it. Blake are you sure there is nothing else you wish to tell me.?" He asked concerned.

Blake narrowed her eyes and answered, "I'm sure."

"Thank you for your time, Ms. Belladonna, if you ever need to talk to me, please don't hesitate to ask," he said and was about to leave when Blake spoke up.

"Did you know…" Blake paused as Ozpin turned around before she continued. "Did you know Draegon was the Fire Demon before you accepted him into the school?" Blake asked. Ozpin looked out the window and Blake followed his gaze and they saw Draegon walking around with Balerion on his shoulder and Meraxes and Vhagar in his arms. He smiled a little but he also looked sad from Blakes point of view.

"What he does in my opinion is a very heavy burden he carries but I believe he does it so no one else has to carry that burden," Ozpin said and Blake continued to look at him.

"He may not look it on the outside but inside I see anger, hatred, and sadness. He hides it well but I've met enough people to see when they're hiding their emotions. Draegon lost something he cared about but with these Dragons and team RWBY he might get his happiness back." Ozpin said while looking at Blake. "He could use a friend right now because I don't think he ever wanted to be called the Fire Demon," Ozpin said and left.

Blake left as well and went outside to meet with Draegon who was still walking outside.

"Draegon," Blake called out and Draegon turned and nodded as Blake ran up to him and started walking with him. They walked in silence and then both looked at each other and spoke

"You okay," they both said at the same time surprised. Draegon then broke the silence again. "So, after hearing my story form the others on how I became the Fire Demon and I learning your story about you being a former member of the White Fang, where does that leave us now?" Draegon asked and Blake sighed.

"I understand that all those members of the White Fang you killed along with many humans you killed were doing horrible things along with killing innocent people and that you offered them mercy before you killed them because they rejected it. However, did you still have to kill them?" Blake asked worried.

Draegon looked to the stars and Blake followed his gaze. "I was five when I learned my families saying." Draegon paused and looked at Blake who looked back wondering. "Fire and Blood, which means when a Targaryen says that it means the will retaliate when someone they care about is hurt or killed or they lost their home and they are not in the mood for mercy but it is a rational though and they do so in stopping things from going out of balance. Every person I killed I did so to stop them from killing other people. It made me feel better knowing that even though I took someone's life away they can't do it anymore to others. It is terrible and I regret doing it but if I have to kill someone in order to protect those, I care about I would." Draegon sighed and petted Meraxes who wanted attention.

"Would you kill someone who was hurting us your friends?" Blake asked wondering.

"Yes," Draegon said slowly and Blake nodded. "Also, if I ever took things to far, I always know I can count on you guys to stop me, because that's what friends are for no matter the species," Draegon said and Blake smiled. She saw Balerion on top of his now and reached her hand out to pet him but the Dragon roared at her and Blake pulled back startled.

"Sorry, Dragons don't like strangers unless they're Targaryen's," Draegon apologized.

"Oh," Blake sadly.

"Give them time, I'm sure they'll warm up to you and the others," Draegon said and Blake continued to walk with him smiled and hoping they would. Blake then decided to hug Draegon when his back was turned

"Still, you also saved my life from that explosion while risking your own so thank you," Blake said and blushed but Draegon couldn't see and he blushed as well. She then let go and punched him in the arm.

"Ow," Draegon said.

"Even though that was extremely reckless and dangerous," she pointed to him. Draegon shrugged his shoulders as they kept walking now heading back towards their dorm.

"I still can't believe the White Fang would work with Roman Torchwick," Blake muttered but Draegon heard her.

"We will stop them, and if you want help you just have to ask okay," Draegon assured her and Blake nodded but was still worried.

Blake was broken from her thoughts when she saw Draegon sitting quietly on the open window edge polishing Blackfyre with a cloth. Blake was surprised to see he managed to sneak past her without her noticing.

"You were deep in thought I didn't want to bother you," Draegon said as Vhagar climbed up the bookshelf into his lap and snuggled against him. Balerion and Meraxes were swinging in his hammock and were flapping their wings a lot.

"It looks like they'll be flying soon," he said and Blake nodded.

"Ugh we should have never let him play," Yang said as she and Ruby and Weiss walked into their room while Draegon had put his sword away and was just petting Vhagar while looking out the window.

"Your just mad because the new guy beat you. See if you just attacked when I told you none of this would have happen," Ruby laughed and Weiss noticed that Blake was leaving but when she reached for the handle Weiss pointed at Blake.

"Stop, lately you've been quiet, antisocial, and moody," Weiss accused.

"Uh, have you met Blake," Yang pointed out but Weiss ignored her.

"Which I get it's kind of your thing, but you've been doing it more than usual. Which quite frankly is unacceptable, you made a promise to me, to all of us, that you would let us know if something was wrong." Weiss paused and looked to see Draegon was now looking at them while still petting Vhagar. She was about to call him out because it concerned him as well.

"So, Blake Belladonna, what is wrong?" Weiss asked as she flipped into the air and now stood on a chair and pointed at Blake. Ruby and Yang looked surprised and dumfounded while Draegon just rose an eyebrow. Weiss smile and she placed the chair into the desk and then zipped back into place like nothing was wrong.

"Blake sighed and answered. "I just…I don't understand how everyone can be so calm,"

"You're still thinking about Torchwick?" Ruby asked.

"Torchwick, the White Fang all of it. Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it," Blake said frustrated now.

"Ozpin told us not to worry, between the police and the Huntsman I'm sure they can handle it," Yang said trying to reassure her.

"Well, I'm not, they don't know the White Fang like I do," Blake continued and the girls all looked at each other while Draegon stayed silent.

"Okay between blowing up night clubs, stopping thieves, slaughtering Grimm, and fighting for freedom I'm sure the four of you think your all ready to go out and apprehend these nervules," Weiss said sarcastically.

"Uh, who?" Ruby asked confused.

"But let me once again be the voice of reason, we're students, are not ready to handle this type of situation," Weiss clarified.

"Well yeah but…" Ruby tried to say but Weiss cut her off.

"We're not ready!" Weiss said loudly.

"And we may never be ready, our enemies aren't just going to sit around and wait for graduation day. They're out there somewhere planning their next move and none of us know what it is but it's coming. Whether were ready or not," Blake yelled before she calmed down.

Draegon looked at his scroll as he heard it vibrating in his pocket. He pulled it out and read a message on it. "We need to meet, face to face, L." He got off from the window and coughed getting their attention as he put his scroll away and breaking the silence.

"Blake is right," Draegon said and Blake smiled but Draegon continued. "She's right and wrong," he said and everyone looked at him confused.

"The White Fang aren't going to wait for us we need to find out what they're up to and stop them. Something is moving in the shadows and if were not ready for it when it reveals it self will be doomed." Draegon looked worried and RWBY realized that Draegon was never this worried.

"However, we may not know what their up to but we can learn about it, ever since the docks the idea of Roman working with the White Fang has put me on edge so I've been making calls to friends to find out what they're up to but everything seems tight lip. If we're going to do this, we need more information." Draegon said as he crossed his arms.

"Okay, all in favor of becoming the youngest Huntsman and Huntress to singly bringing down the corrupt organization conspiring against bringing down the kingdom of Vale, say aye," Ruby said quickly.

"Yes, I love it when everyone is feisty," Yang said.

"Well, I suppose it could be fun," Weiss said and Draegon nodded.

"None of you said aye," Ruby said sadly. A screeching was heard and everyone looked to see Balerion and Meraxes on the hammocks raise their wing up and Vhagar did the same thing from Draegon shoulder. Ruby smiled that the babies said aye in Dragon.

"Oh no you don't," Draegon said pointing at all three babies. "The only thing you're going to be doing is practicing your flying," he said and Balerion huffed in annoyance.

"Alright then we're in this together," Blake smiled.

"Let's hatch a plan," Ruby posed.

"Yeah," Yang pointed at Ruby in excitement but Ruby gasped.

"I left my bored game in the library," Ruby said shocked and Draegon smacked his head.

"We're doomed," Weiss said shaking her head as Ruby dashed out of the room. Draegon rolled his eyes and followed her out. "I'll be right back," Ruby shouted.

"Wait up I'll help you," he said and saw Ruby run into someone.

"Sorry are you ok?" Ruby asked as Emerald held a hand out.

"I'm fine just watch were you're going," Emerald said.

"Right sorry," Ruby said as she got up and Draegon appeared next to her.

"You should really be more careful Ruby," Draegon said as he nodded to Emerald and Mercury.

"I'm Ruby, this is Draegon, are you new?" Ruby asked and Emerald stepped out of the way for Cinder.

"Visiting from Haven actually," Cinder said and Draegon felt his guard go up and placed his left hand on Blackfyre's pommel. Cinder noticed that and smirked. Soon a growl was heard and the three of them turned to Vhagar who was hanging on his back earlier now climbed on to his shoulders and let out a tiny roar. It made Emerald and Mercury widen their eyes but Cinder kept her face calm.

"Cute little creature you have," Cinder spoke nicely.

"Thanks," Draegon said as he still had his guard up for unknown reasons.

"Oh, you're here for the festival," Ruby said breaking their eye contact they had on each other.

"But exchange students have their own dormitory," she continued.

"I guess we just got turned around," Mercury said and Draegon narrowed his eyes. Ruby just laughed.

"Don't worry happens all the time, your building is just east of here," Ruby said as they walked past her and Draegon while Vhagar growled some more and Draegon patted her and shushed her to be quiet.

"Thanks maybe will see you around," Cinder said as she looked at Draegon who raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, maybe and welcome to Beacon," Ruby waved not knowing Cinder smirking evilly.

"Something was off about those guys my instincts were screaming at me to keep my guard up, I should keep my distance but watch them," Draegon thought at how dangerous these people were not knowing how right he was.

Thats the chapter what do you think I hope you liked it. I put a lot of thought into Blake and Draegon conversation and I hope it was good if you didn't like it tell me your reason why.
