Another day and another chapter. I do not own RWBY or Game of thrones I only own my OCs. The rest belong to their respective owners. Enjoy.

FIRE and BLOOD in Remnant

Burning the Candle in Air

Ruby is resting her head on her hand and staring into the distance rather glumly before she is startled by someone slamming their palms on the table she is at.

"I need you to pick a tablecloth." Weiss said smiling as she slides two squares over to Ruby, both seeming to be similar shades of white.

"Aren't they both the same?" Ruby asked confused.

"I don't even know why I asked!" Weiss sighs in frustration. She sees Draegon having pieces of raw meat placed in front Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar. He told them earlier about how Jack Jewel was his teacher and how he destroyed his home. They felt sorry but told him he shouldn't get mad at people for just mentioning someone's name. He agreed and told them he already apologized to Pyrrha and she accepted his apology. Yang asked why he would teach him and then betray his village. Draegon said he didn't know but he didn't want them to know about the talking Grimm and think he was crazy, that was his fight not theirs.

"Draegon, which tablecloth do you think is better?" Weiss asked as she showed them to him. Draegon looked at them for a second and then pointed at her right hand.

"That one looks fine," he said before looking back at the babies.

"Thank you, I'm glad someone gets it," Weiss said as she looked at Ruby who rolled her eyes and looked to see Draegon staring at the babies who in turn stared back at him.

"What are you doing anyway?" Ruby asked and Weiss became curious as well.

"Teaching," Draegon said before he spoke to the babies. "Dracarys," he said and Balerion looked at the meat while Meraxes and Vhagar looked confused. "Dracarys," Draegon commanded again Yang was looking as well. Suddenly Balerion let out a puff of smoke then a small breath that he exhaled and let loose tiny flames which cooked the meat. Meraxes and Vhagar followed and soon all of their meat was cooked. The babies swallowed the meat and Draegon smiled.

"Now I don't have to cook for them anymore, they can feed themselves." Draegon replied happily while Ruby, Weiss, and Yang dropped their mouths in shock.

"Congratulations," Ruby said as she shook off the surprise and went back to being glum. Yang went to get some equipment. Weiss walked up to him.

"I'm glad they can breathe fire now to eat and defend themselves but they better not burn are room down," Weiss warned.

"They won't I'll make sure of it, I promise," Draegon said. Weiss nods and walks away as Yang comes in carrying a massive sound speaker on her shoulder, which bounces her sister and the table she's moping on again to jump in the air when she drops it on the ground. The Dragons screech in surprise and all cling to Draegon with their tiny claws.

"So, have you picked out a dress yet?" Yang asked as she is brushing her hands and approaches Ruby

"What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?" Ruby said sadly.

"Oh, don't worry; she's going." Yang said determined and looks over to Weiss exasperated. "Weiss! I thought we agreed: No doilies!" She shouted.

Weiss walks up to Yang, pointing in her face, "If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!" she said but they are interrupted by the sound of doors opening.

"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?" Neptune asked walking in with Sun.

"We were thinking about it..." Weiss said trying to sound sweet.

"That's pretty cool." Neptune complimented.

"You ladies all excited for dress-up?" Sun said acting Suave to Weiss but it only irritated her.

"Pfft... Yeah, right!" Ruby laughed.

"Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night!" Yang said and winked at Draegon who shrugged his shoulders.

"I think you look cute just the way you are." Draegon said modestly and Yang blushed a little and lightly punched him in the arm. Draegon just shook his head.

"What are you three wearing?" Weiss asked Draegon, Sun, and Neptune.

"Uuhhh...this?" Sun said and gestures to his current shirtless outfit.

Neptune steps up and holds a hand in front of his friend's face. "Ignore him for he knows not what he says." He spoke.

Sun knocks Neptune's hand away "Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kind of place." He retorted.

"Yeah, we noticed." Yang said mirroring Ruby's and Weiss' looks of being told something extremely obvious.

"I'll be wearing a tux, happy," Draegon said as he pulled Vhagar off his jacket so she wouldn't scratch it.

"Very much," Yang smirked and Weiss nodded.

"Soooo... what does Blake think of all this? She still being all, y'know... Blake-y?" Sun asked rubbing the back of his head.

"Obviously." Weiss said as she turns and crosses her arms in disapproval.

"I still can't think of a way to change her mind." Ruby said.

"She's getting worse," Draegon said as he petted Meraxes on his shoulder and Balerion and Vhagar where in his arms.

"Guys." Yang said everyone looks at her as she starts walking out. "Trust me; Blake will be at the dance tomorrow. Draegon I might need your help just in case." She spoke and Draegon nodded and followed after her.

The Faunus herself is sitting at one of the library tables with a holographic screen in front of her. She is obviously more sleep-deprived than ever, barely focusing on what she's seeing... until a small, bright red light appears on the screen. Moving up and down, Blake's eyes follow it down to her hand, then disappears entirely. She looks behind herself, obviously irritated, but no one walking among the tables is her culprit.

Turning back to the computer, she starts typing on the beeping keyboard before the laser dot appears on her hand briefly, prompting her to look around again and still find no one. The red point shows up on the screen, moving around in circles until Blake scowls and pounds her fists on the table. She stands up from her chair and finds the light on the floor, following it blindly through shelves of books until both the dot and its pursuer turn the corner, only for Blake to bump, shocked and shaken out of her more "animal" instincts, into...

"He-lloooo!" Yang said waving with her left hand as her right holds the laser pointer, in a sing-song voice.

"What are you...?" Blake started but Yang grabs Blake's arm.

"We need to talk." And with that, amid Blake's single cry of surprise, Yang whisks her partner away.

Emerging from the steaming bathroom in nothing but a pink towel wrapped around his lower body, Ren sighs in contentedness and starts walking away, only to be stopped by Jaune suddenly appearing in front of him.

"We need to talk!" Jaune said. And with that, amid Ren's single cry of surprise, Jaune pulls his teammate away, leaving his bottle of "Samurai Shampoo" to spin in the air before dropping to the ground.

Jaune was sitting on his bed in the dorm room, before he began talking, "Ren... I'm just gonna say it. You are one of my best friends. These past few months, I feel like we've really bonded, even though you don't say much. I mean, you're really quiet. To be perfectly honest, I don't know that much about you, personally, but darn it, I consider you to be the brother I never had!" He said sincerely.

Ren is still only wearing his towel and looking extremely uncomfortable, but he still nods and smiles to Jaune when he's done. "And I you." He tries to be attentive from then on, but keeps glancing at his usual outfit hanging by the door.

"Which is why I wanted to get your advice on... girls." Jaune asked.

"Girls?" Ren asks surprised, but starts reaching out for his clothes while Jaune is looking away.

"I just... don't know... how to... girls. Um, I-I guess what I'm asking is... Well, how did you and Nora... y'know..." Jaune said trying to find the right words.

"Uh... uh... uh..." Ren says as he puts his hand down after almost touching the green robe, but looks even more awkward now.

"We're actually not "together-together..."" Nora said as she clears her throat to get the boys' attention on her, wearing nothing but her emblazoned headphones, a "BOOP" T-shirt, and pink lightning bolt shorts as she reads a book resting on her knees, before she laughs nervously.

"NORA, I SAID HEADPHONES ON!" Jaune shouted and Nora does so quickly under her leader's command.

"Jaune, what is this all about?" Ren asked focusing on his friend fully.

Jaune sighs deeply before speaking, obviously depressed by staring at the floor as he talks, "It's Weiss. I'm completely head-over-heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented. I mean, have you heard her sing? I-I just wish she take me seriously, y'know? I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up."

"Then do it." Pyrrha says.

Jaune looks up to see Pyrrha in the doorway, with Ren and Nora doing the same. "Uh, wha?" He asked confused.

"Tell her exactly what you said. No ridiculous schemes, no pick-up lines. Just... be honest." Pyrrha said walking into the room.

"But what if I," Jaune starts but Pyrrha cuts him off again.

"Jaune. You can't get it wrong if it's the truth." Pyrrha smiles at him.

"You're right." Jaune says as he looks up with a new confidence and stands up. "Thanks, Pyrrha!" He says then looks back to his bed as he goes out. "Good talk, Ren!" Jaune said and Ren smiles and waves his thanks while Jaune closes the door. Upon doing so, Pyrrha becomes noticeably less cheerful as she walks over to her desk, with a concerned Nora watching her with sad eyes.

"Practice what you preach, Pyrrha." Nora sighs.

"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath. Also why is Draegon here?" Blake asked to see Yang sitting cross-legged on the central desk of the empty classroom they're in, orange light shining across her calm features. Draegon was sitting on one of the students' desks with his dragons.

"I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down. Also, Draegon is here to make sure you don't escape," Yang said and Draegon nodded but remained silent.

Blake continues to pace with arms crossed, still irritated before she spoke. "I don't have the luxury to slow down."

"It's not a luxury; it's a necessity." Yang said.

"The "necessity" is stopping Torchwick." Blake said.

"And we're going to. But first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say." Yang pats the part of the desk across from her.

Blake looks away for a moment at Draegon who nods at her until she relents and drapes her legs over the desk's edge, "Fine." She speaks.

"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back." Yang starts but looks down as she says this, and Blake and Draegon feel sorry for her but Yang continues.

"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom." Yang said and Blake looks amazed at this information and Draegon was also surprised as Yang keeps talking.

"He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since." Yang said.

"Why did she leave you?" Blake asked.

Yang sighs, then turns to the chalkboard. "That question... Why?" she says and gets off the desk and walks to the chalkboard, picking up a piece of chalk. "I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her." Yang starts drawing on the board, and Yang thinks back when she was a little girl.

A younger Yang with orange bows holding her brunette pigtails, looking at the photo found in a smashed picture frame.

"Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother."

Yang is walking down a long winding path through the towering trees shedding their leaves with a little creaking wagon pulled right behind her, with a little sister in a crimson hood sleeping soundly inside.

"I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes..." Yang said and in the shadows of the worn-down house the siblings had arrived at, beastly red shapes glow from the darkness.

Yang continued her story as her younger self looks petrified, "There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time."

As the Beowolves leap into the air to devour their young prey, the familiar sound of a gun-scythe follows the sight of them all being cut into pieces by a caped warrior. His bird-haired silhouette fades away to present day, where Yang has just finished drawing a clockwork eye.

"My stubbornness should've gotten us killed that night." Yang said sadly.

"Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just…" Blake started but was cut off.

Yang was still facing the board, fists clenching. "I told you: I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?" She spoke.

"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!" Blake argued and Draegon shook his head.

"No, you don't understand!" Yang said as she turns around sharply to reveal red eyes and the sound of flames. "If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?" She asked.

"I'd fight him!" Blake says.

"You'd lose!" Yang said pushes Blake away.

"I can stop him!" Blake tiredly tries to do the same to Yang, but she doesn't even budge.

"You can't even stop me!" Yang said as she pushes Blake again, knocking her to land on the desk. Yang, still angry-eyed, walks toward Blake as she gets up, but then does the unexpected and embraces her in a hug, her eyes going back to their normal purple.

"I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest." Yang said and pulls back to look at her partner. "Not just for you, but for the people you care about." She steps away and starts walking past the startled Blake, who turns when she says over her shoulder: "And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I'll save you a dance." Yang winks down at Blake, and Blake stares at Yang.

Draegon coughs getting both girls attention. "Yang you did the right thing," Draegon said and Yang nodded before he looked to Blake. "Come with me, both of you. There's something we need to do and then you're going to bed Blake." Draegon said and Yang and Blake looked at each other and followed him.

Drogon looked up to see Draegon bringing more people to see him and snorted when Draegon laughed a little as he petted him. Drogon looked to see the young Dragons clinging to him and became curious. He hasn't seen them since they hatched and they looked like they grew a little but not much. Balerion stood on Draegon head and roared at him trying to challenge him but Drogon just snorted again and it blew Balerion off his head but he managed to cling onto his hood. Everyone laughed at his misfortune but Balerion growled and Yang and Blake who decided to stop. Draegon shook his head as he smiled and Drogon lowered his wing.

"It's like you know me pal," Draegon said as he climbed up and sat on him with Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar all clung to his back.

"Come on," Draegon invited both Yang and Blake and Yang smiled with excitement and climbed on as did Blake who looked neutral. Yang sat in front of Draegon wanting a better view, while Blake got on behind him and saw the Dragons looking at her and saw how tired she was.

"What?" Blake asked but the babies continued to stare. Drogon roared and took off into the sky with a mighty flap of his wings. Drogon soared into the sky and Beacon could be seen like perfect castle. Yang cheered as the wind blew her hair as it brushed at Draegon face but he pushed it away and smiled. The baby dragons chirped happily at being able to fly so high even though they are young. Draegon looked to see Blake had a calm peaceful look on her face. Blake was enjoying the feeling of flying it was completely different from flying on a Bullhead. Draegon moved Drogon towards the Emerald Forest where he saw a cluster of Grimm gathering. Draegon narrowed his eyes and Drogon growled. Yang and Blake looked confused when they saw the way Draegon looked. Draegon leaned to the right and Drogon complied by diving towards them. The Grimm looked up and started to run away but they could never out speed a Dragon.

"Dracarys," Draegon said as Drogon blasted all the Grimm with Dragon fire incinerating them. Yang and Blake watched with astonishment as all Grimm were killed, they looked at Draegon with impressed looks and Draegon nodded.

"We've been doing this for a while, we hate Grimm," he said. The girls nodded but were shocked at how many Grimm he's killed over the years and continued to watch the land they flew over but he still was upset. He didn't see a Seer Grimm at all, he looked through countless Grimm books in Ports class but it didn't have any pictures of it just words and not much was talked about it. The fires died down as Drogon flew away since the plants were all given rain recently and no forest fires would hurt them. The wind kept blowing in Blake's face that she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep. Blake leaned forward as the babies move to Draegon front side and Blake rested her head on his back. Yang and Draegon saw it and smiled at each other. Draegon decided to guide Drogon back to Beacon since flying could put anyone to sleep if they were tired enough. Once Drogon landed in his nest Draegon carried Blake bridal style and Yang followed. Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar crawled after them.

"Thanks for everything Drogon," Draegon called and Yang waved. Drogon just snorted and decided it was time to eat so he took to the skies again.

Draegon placed Blake on her bed and the babies crawled into their pen to sleep as well. Draegon and Yang smiled a little as everyone slept peacefully in the warm evening.

"I guess are work here is done," Yang whispered and Draegon nodded as they left to get back to work on the dance floor.

The white rose in Jaune's hand bounces up and down as its smiling owner walks through Beacon Academy until he stops at the entrance of a hallway with the sound of a certain voice, causing him to duck behind the columns outside.

"Neptune!" Weiss says as she walks past Jaune as he peeks around the corner and goes up to Neptune.

"Oh, uh, hey, what's up?" Neptune said.

"I know this is a little unorthodox, but... I wanted to ask you something." Weiss said as she puts her hands behind her back trying to look innocent as Jaune drops his smile and recoils at the oncoming words. "Would you... like to accompany me to the dance tomorrow?" She asks.

While Neptune rubs the back of his head and smiles with raised eyebrows, Jaune loses all of his confidence and drops the rose on the ground before walking back from where he came from.

The sight of the lonely, abandoned rose turns into a large collection of the same flowers, one dropping outward, in a large vase behind Yang, now in a short white dress with black heels as she stands at a podium. Next to her Draegon is in a black tuxedo with a red tie but he feels like he's slightly being choked to death. As he tries to loosen the collar.

"So how do I look," Yang asked seductively and blinked a little. Draegon stopped trying to loosen it and got a good look a Yang.

"I said it before and I'll say it again, you look beautiful," Draegon complimented. Yang smiled at Draegon honesty.

"Thanks, you look handsome as well," Yang said as she helped adjust his tie so it wasn't strangling him anymore. Draegon smiled and thanked her. The doors in front of them open and Yang flips out upon seeing who walks in.

"Ooohh, you look beautiful!" Yang awed.

Ruby groans as she looks distressed in her red dress with black lace, belt, and pumps. "Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?" Ruby tries to maintain her balance as she walks to the podium, much to her laughing sister's amusement and Draegon chuckled a little.

"We all have to suffer Ruby, but you look fine," Draegon said and Ruby nodded and continued on her way.

Meanwhile outside, Sun is seen walking around and wearing a new black jacket now closed up, with a white tie hung around his neck, which he proceeds to fight with before going inside.

"Stupid... dumb... neck trap!" Sun grumbled.

"I knew you'd look better in a tie." Blake said as Sun stops his struggling and stares at the dark purple dress worn by Blake, now looking like she traded her dark bags for violet eyeshadow, as she steps forward and takes him by the arm. She rested quite well and had the energy for this dance.

"Sooo, does this mean we're going...together?" Sun asked.

"Technically, though my first dance is spoken for." Blake replied.

Inside the ballroom, streamers are hung through glass chandeliers, pink and blue balloons are everywhere, and students in dark suits and bright dresses are stepping with each other to the music between the white-clothed tables. Blake is spun around by Yang before they curtsey to one another, and Sun comes up and takes his date's hands as Yang gestures for him to do so. She takes Draegon arm and both of them go to hang with Ruby and Weiss who is in a similar white dress as Yang's in the back of the room, watching Blake laugh and enjoy herself before smiling at her team.

"I told you she would come." Yang smirked.

"Mission accomplished." Weiss added.

"I'm glad she got some rest and is taking a break," Draegon said.

"Soooo, what do we do now?" Ruby asked turning towards her teammates.

"Just have fun!" Yang said as she grabs Draegon arm and she proceeds to walk away with him, with Weiss going the opposite direction and leaving Ruby behind.

"Does that mean I can change out of these stupid things and into my hood now?" Ruby shouts to Yang but upon receiving no answer, she waddles around in her painful footwear. "Stupid lady stilts!" Ruby complained.

"Not enjoying yourself?" Ozpin asked.

Ruby is surprised to see the headmaster step up by her side, but shakes her head and laughs. "Oh, no, everything's fine! I'm just not much of a fancy pantsy... dancey girl." Ruby said.

"Well, you can't spend your whole life on the battlefield, even if you may want to." Ozpin spoke.

Ruby crosses her arms, looking annoyed. "Yeah, that lesson's been floating around a lot lately." She spoke.

Ozpin staring out at the dancing couples. "If you think about it, fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked, although one wrong move on the ballroom merely leads to a swollen foot." He spoke.

Ruby looking down at her own feet. "Or a twisted ankle." Ruby complained.

"It's not every day that friends are able to come together like this. Time has a way of testing our bonds, but it's nights like these that can help keep them stronger than ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget." Ozpin spoke like a sage and Ruby smiles at the words of wisdom, but turns her head at the sound of the doors opening. Yang and Draegon are back behind the podium, and Yang smiles at the new arrivals but Draegon narrows his eyes.

"You guys are just in time!" Yang said.

"Welcome," Draegon said slowly.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Mercury said as he and Emerald step in with their ballroom clothes.

Hope you liked today's chapter. It's short I know but so is the begining of Volumes of RWBY. I wanted to add Drogon because Blake and Yang didn't get a chance to fly so I hope it was cool. Let me know what you think and have a good day.
