Disclaimer: I do not own Warriors
Windclan's journey
The bright sun was fading,
Into the darkening evening
We had no warning
Of what the night would bring
The Shadowclan warriors attacked
We had no choice but to fight back
The warriors were too strong
And the battle was over before long
Scents of blood, mixed with fear,
Yowls of fright reached my ears
The sight was so beastly,
I began to feel quite queasy
Wounded felines lay on the floor,
Some never to cry no more
My mother took me by the scruff,
Although fearful, she was quite tough
The gathered cats ran from the sight
And waited for our leader in the cold night
He lowered his tail and we all fled
Towards unknown places we were led
My mother was soon held back
Another cat took me to cut her some slack
She had just brought me to the world not too long ago
And running wasn't the way to go
Across Thunderpaths and no man's land
Past farms and dogs and other humans
Thorns and others snagged our fur,
But we didn't mind; we were far from danger
Our sleek pelt was no more,
Most of us hung low to the floor,
Long limbs that used to give us speed,
Were too fatigue to take heed
Stopping for nothing, except to hunt,
But no hunt was ever a successful one
Crowfood was what we depended on
Sometimes I wished I was never born
After meeting a group of Twolegs with flames,
We ran and found a hole as we came
Going underground into the musty tunnel
Damp and wet, we were soaked to the fur
Two cats came by days soon after
Both of them had an unknown scent clinging to their fur
One smelt a little of a kittypet
But no doubt that they had been well-fed
Raising the alarm, Tallstar stood
Hackles went up, and most of us stood too
After a low speech and we realized that they weren't Shadowclan,
They were just cats who believed there should be four clans
After hasty reassurance,
They were cats to bring us home, we learnt
Weak as we were, our eyes shone,
We sprang up and started the long journey back home
Tired panting on my back,
I realized the one carrying me was black
The red Thunderclan tom took pity on her,
Before I knew it, I was scenting his fur
Slowing his pace, he padded beside my mother
Who was still going on strong, when she was reassured
Across the meadows we had past long before
I recognized them, all in all
Across the Thunderpath we had to go,
I was thrust to my mother, who caught up with the flow
The red tom supported the elders
And nearly gave up his life, instead of saving his own fur
Reaching a farm with two loners,
We had a good meal and groomed our fur
Prey was plenty in the barn
And it gave more shelter to everyone
Outside, the cold winds blew
Rain pelted down heavily, most became dew
We were warm and safe inside, without a single groan
We were all going home!
Dewdrops clung onto the grass
Scenting home, we padded fast
Back to the place we knew so well,
Back to the place where fond memories dwell
