We are held in the moment of Fitz facing Jake with Olivia in his arms. The cheers have dissipated as Liv and Fitz are no longer in view. Abby stands and watches as Liv stares at Jake. She can see it in his eyes. He wants a fight. He wants words. Most of all, he's hurt. Though she doesn't feel guilty, she feels bad for him. Fitz slowly releases Liv from his arms. It seems like eternity for her feet to touch the ground. With all the noise around them, it feels like they are the only 3 people there. Her heels tap the ground.

"Jake," she says.

Jake just shakes his head looking at Liv and then up at Fitz. "You are the mechanic. The car specialist that called that night."

Fitz just stares at him, "Jake," is all he can say.

"I mean let's all be honest. You are the voice I've heard a couple of times and I knew I heard that voice before," Jake continues.

"Yes," Fitz answers.

The people around them don't yet understand that what's happening in this isolated space is bigger than life, "Jake…," Liv is searching for the words. She knows nothing is going to make this moment better. Too many words is only going to make it worse.

"I suppose you started hands on therapy for certain patients," Jake snarks at her.

"That's not what this is," Liv quickly defends.

Abby turns immediately and goes to get Sonia, to let her know that all hell is about to potentially break loose.

"Oh was it! You couldn't save his marriage but you could save him," Jake is at this point turning redder and redder.

"Can we go outside and talk about this?" Liv says.

"Why should we?" Jake answers.

"Listen man, let's just go outside and not make this a show in front of everyone," Fitz suggests.

"You wanted everyone to know how much you loved her and missed her a few minutes ago." He looks around and lets his voice raise, "What's wrong? You don't want everyone to know your dirty little doctor/patient secret."

"No, I want you to have respect for Liv and we take this outside," Fitz says, getting closer in his face and trying to keep his voice down.

"Out of respect for Liv. Where was the respect for herself when she spread her legs for her patient? She had a perfectly good husband at home."

Abby and Sonia make it back to the scene happening. They eye Liv who looks like she is in agony.

That hits Liv in the stomach, his words. Liv gets close. People are realizing that this is not a happy little reunion happening. They start to point and whisper. Liv says, "Please jake. Let's go outside and talk about this. We can go back to my place."

"Forgive me Liv if I'm not thrilled by the thought of listening to you give me this fairytale of you falling for your patient," Jake says even louder.

"Jake, I am really trying to be patient with you because I get this may be a shock but I am not going to let you stand here and insult her. I am not going to let that happen," Fitz says as his jaw clenches and Liv can see he is repeatedly squeezing his fists together.

Russell has made his way to the gathering crowd to see what's going on. He has no idea who this second guy is. But he can tell, this fight is over the woman that he wants.

Liv grabs one of Fitz's hands in hers, which Jake notices. He even notices how Fitz reacts the moment she touches him. It just makes him angrier as she whispers in his ear, "Fitz, let's just leave. Jake can cool off and we can talk to him tomorrow. We don't want to make a scene."

Now all eyes are on them. The blonde Jake came in with walks up, "Jake, what's going on?" she asks.

He pushes her, "Go back to the fucking table. I am having a conversation with my wife." The blonde trips over the leg of a chair falling on the floor. Russell runs to her aid helping her off the floor. LIv is surprised to see Russell.

"Thank you," she says.

"You okay," Russell asks.

She's focused on Jake, "You are married," the blonde says.

"I'm his ex-wife," Liv says. She shakes her head. All eyes are on them.

"Do you always push women around?" Fitz asks.

"Do you always sleep with married women?" Jake asks. Abby and Sonia have moved to Liv's side.

"Are you okay?" Abby asks.

"I just want to get the hell out of here," Liv says.

"Are you really in any position to ask me that question?" Fitz asks.

"Are you not going to answer the question?" Jake asks.

Liv looks over at the staring eyes, one of which is Russell. Liv walks back up to the two men, grabbing Fitz's hand again, "We've given everyone enough of this show Jake. We are going to go."

"I'm not done," Jake says even louder.

"We are done," Liv says. She pulls at Fitz, taking his arm first as she turns for the door.

Jake decides to use his last jab. He wants to hurt her. He wants to embarrass her, so he yells. "Are you going home to practice your new hobby? Getting on your knees and sucking dick," he yells.

All you can hear is the gasp of the onlookers. Eyes are stretched out and shocked, Russell's is one of them. Abby and Sonia can't believe it. The next thing you know, Fitz lets go of Liv's hand and hurls himself at Jake and punches him smack in the middle of his nose.

Then you hear the "ohhhh" from the crowds.

"Fitz," Liv yells trying to stop him but she can't. Fitz is punching him. Jake stumbles to the floor She was sure he was going to beat him to death "Fitz, stop it. Stop it," she pleads.

Fitz loses focus for a moment at the sound of Liv's voice to look at her. Jake tries to use this to his advantage going after Fitz. He gets a punch in but Fitz is not deterred. He wallops him right back until they crash a table bringing the glasses down with them. Fitz is on top of him punching him. Russell tries to intervene to stop Fitz.

"Let me go," Fitz says as he yanks away from Russell quickly. Club security shows up to stop the madness.

One officer grabs Jake. He yells, "Let me go," Jake says to the other.

The other office goes to Fitz, pulling him back. "I'm fine," Fitz says. He's angry. He's pissed. He wants another round with Jake.

"Come with us gentlemen," one security guard says. The two men start escorting them out. All eyes are on Liv left to face the crowd. Abby and Sonia come to her side.

"I don't believe this," Liv says. Abby and Sonia can tell how embarrassed she is.

"Go outside and take care of Fitz," Sonia says.

"I can't believe he did this," Liv says almost in a state of shock.

"I can believe it," Abby says.

"I am so embarrassed," Liv whispers.

Liv looks over at Jake's blonde date, "Are you okay?" This surprises Abby and Sonia.

Sonia whispers to Abby, "Is she for real?"

The blonde is surprised. "I am okay. My name is Misty."

Abby can't help but chuckle, "Typical fucking Jake," she says under her breath. Liv slaps her arm.

"I am sorry about all this," Liv finishes.

"Why the hell are you sorry? He's a prick," Misty answers. Her answer surprises Liv now.

The onlookers are trying not to give it any more attention but they are still stealing looks. "I need to go and check on Fitz," Liv says.

"Okay! Call us later," Sonia says.

"Okay," Liv answers as she walks toward the door just wanting to crawl up in a ball and die from the embarrassment.

Liv makes it outside and both men are being talked to separately. Liv goes toward Fitz immediately, "Fitz," she says.

"Liv I need to talk to you," Jake shouts to her.. She just stares.

"Are you okay?" Liv asks him as she touches the cut over his eye. She looks at his knuckles which are bruised and has a gash. "Are you okay?" she repeats.

"I am fine. You okay!" He asks.

"I just want to go home," she answers.

"And I want to take you home," Fitz says. He looks up at the security guard. "I am sorry. I don't usually go around causing disturbances but he…."

The security guard cuts him off, "I would have punched the shit out of him too if he said something like that about my girl." He looks over at Liv and then back at Fitz, "Take your lady home."

Fitz looks at him, extending his hand, "Gladly! Thank you."

"Have a good night," The security guard responds as Liv and Fitz turn to leave.

"Liv I'm sorry," Jake yells.

Liv stops walking. She turns to Fitz. "I need to say something to him."

"Just leave it alone. We can deal with him later," Fitz suggests.

"It will only take a minute," she says as she lets go and walks over to Jake with a strut Fitz hadn't seen before. He had to admit, it was sexy as hell and powerful how her hips swayed.

Jake is excited thinking she's come to talk to him. His delusions are greater than ever. "Liv," he says as she gets close.

Liv says nothing, she delivers him a slap across the face. It surprises him and Fitz. The security guard flinches and rushes behind her to stop a further "attack." He's ready to pull her away. Fitz goes toward her. "Don't worry I am leaving," Liv says. She looks Jake in the eye. "Don't you ever come around me again. Don't ever speak to me again. Tonight was the last night you ever get to do that. If this happens again, I won't stop Fitz from kicking your ass again."

Fitz is now behind her and even he's shocked at her words. Fitz decides to dig the knife in further, "Come on baby let's go," he says just loud enough for Jake to hear. Jake reacts and notices the way Liv's body sinks into his. They both turn and leave. He had a car waiting.

They get in the backseat. Fitz is still wincing from the sting of his knuckles. He grabs Liv's hand. She looks over at him. There's a sadness in her eyes but mostly he knows she's embarrassed. She looks away from him. "I don't want to talk about it."

"We don't have to talk about it. I just want to know if you are okay," he says.

She slinks in her posture, "I'm fine," she answers, still looking out of the window.

"I am sorry tonight didn't go exactly the way I planned," Fitz says.

She looks at him, tears in her eyes and lays her body into hers, burning her face into his shirt, "Thank you," she says but he can barely hear her.

"What?" He asks.

She lifts her head, "Thank you," she repeats.

"For what?"

"For flying all the way back for me," she says as she lifts her head.

"I didn't like the way we left things and I wasn't going to wait any longer to make it right. Plus, I really did miss the hell out of you," Fitz says with a laugh, trying to make her laugh.

"I missed you too," Liv laughs.

"And I understand. I get what you meant about me letting Mellie stay. Although it was innocent, I know. I know it can send the wrong message."

"Thank you," Liv answers. "I didn't mean to throw that in your face while you were away on business. I could have handled it better."

"I am glad you told me how you felt. I expect you to tell me when I am ass. The way you just told him," he laughs.

She covers her eyes for a second, "Did I sound that bad?"

"Remind me to nerve cross you," Fitz answers.

"I will," she smiles as she drops her head back to his chest.

"Hey," he says. He lifts her head up. "What happened back there, Jake was wrong. I am just sorry he put you on display like that. I am sorry he put us on display."

"I am just embarrassed. It was embarrassing for people to be privy to me and our sex life that way. It just pisses me off that he went that far."

He looks at her, "It pisses me off that I didn't get to kill him. If he ever speaks to you like that again, ever, I will yank his tongue out."

"You promise," she says, tracing his lips lightly.

"I promise," he answers as he gives her a kiss. The kiss grows deeper as he slides her tongue into his mouth. She hasn't felt the taste of him in a week and she's craved those perfectly thin lips pressed against her. She licks inside of his mouth which makes him moan and groan hard. He pulls away for a second, "Damn! I should fight for your honor more often."

"It's very sexy," she says as her hands travel up his leg and grabs his dick, as she rubs him up and down. "It's been 6 days and almost 144 hours. All of me certainly missed all of you." She lifts herself up, more on him. She's kissing his face from his forehead to his lips.

Fitz groans at the pleasure of her little hands working perfectly. "I missed you too," he answers as his hands travel under her dress as he squeezes her ass. "I could tell him to pull over and get out so we can do this with less restrictions."

"No, I want to get you home. There's been enough people watching us for one night," she says as she smirks and drops back in her seat, releasing her hand from him.

"You expect me to sit still now," he laughs as he eyes his hard bulge.

"You have to," she laughs as she turns laughing, looking out of the window.

"I fell for that one, didn't I?" Fitz says.

"Hook, line and sinker," she chuckles.

They sit back and they finally make it home. They can't get upstairs fast enough. They both decide Liv is on the lower floor so that would be much faster. He just wants to lay her down and make love to her until he can't morning. That's all he wants to do.

They get inside the condo and they barely close the door and lock it. They rip off their clothes leaving a trail from the door to the bedroom. Fitz can't place his fingers on her fast enough. Her dress easily falls and he watches her as she walks ahead of them. She lays on the bed, in just her pantie and bra, laughing at the sight before her. Fitz is fighting to get his shoes and socks off.

"Good thing we have all night," she chuckles.

"Are you gonna take that back?" He says as he gets the socks off.

"No way," she says as he crawls between her legs.

He just lays there, feeling the warmth of her skin. She strokes his back as he lays on her. He softly kisses her chest and down her stomach. "You feel so good," he says. He blows a line down her stomach to her navel and it makes her tremble. "You smell so good," he says. She's messing up his curls. With each feel of his lips, her body screams for more.

"I've missed you so much," she says to him. He looks up at her just before he licks her skin at the edge of her pantyline from hip to hip. She bites her lips.

"I've missed you too," he answers as he starts pulling her underwear down. She's so wet for him already. He throws her underwear over his shoulder. He looks down at her. Her lips are glistening and wet for him. "Are you sure you don't want to take it back, laughing at me?"

She can see the prowl in his eyes and hear the drop in her voice. He looks like a hungry man that is going to fill his appetite with the only thing he wanted on the menu, her. "Fitz, I can take it back," she says shakily. She wants him bad but the attack in his eyes is almost too overwhelming.

"Too late," he says as he pushes her legs open wider. Her lips are begging for his. He slowly buries his head between her legs. He licks her and then looks up at her, "You taste good too," he says. She laughs. He dips his head back between her legs, licking her slowly up and down. Her legs are jelly. He starts slow lapping up her growing juices with each slow lick.

She's bucking up and down, biting her lips, "God," she repeats over and over.

He plants his face right where he can suck her clit. It's sitting between his teeth as he sucks her harder and harder. He's moaning as he cups her ass, digging his fingers in. She can't control the onslaught of her juices flowing on to him. She's so wet. "I love it baby," he says as he stretches her wide with his fingers to plunge his tongue deeper into her.

She's fisting the pillows. Her sensories are in circuit. She wants every part of her body touched by this man. She wants him to lick every part of her. He can feel her squirming, he looks up to see her fidgeting to remove her bra. He grips harder, nipping her walls with gentle bites of her soft wet insides. She is able to get her arms out of straps. She locks her legs around his waist as her walls are swelling around his lips. She's massaging her nipples. She's writhing from the good pain of the orgasm that's building inside of her. He looks up to see her massaging herself and it turns him on even more. His dick is swelling The vision of her touching herself while he pleasures her with his tongue is something he wants edged in his brain forever.

"Fitz," she chants. "Fitz," she chants over and over. She wants to pull his hair. She wants to pull her hair. She wants him right where he is, using his superpower. "So good," she whispers.

He licks her harder after hearing her approval. She's starting to release. She can start to tremble as her climax sweeps through her so strong. "Shit," she screeches. He laughs. He looks up at her. She's breathing so hard, he thinks her chest is going to burst.

"So good," he repeats looking up at her as he licks his lips

"So good," she says again.

He crawls up to her, "Better than good," he says he slides his tongue into her mouth, letting her taste herself.

"I'm a sticky mess," she laughs as he lies his head down on her chest. He sneaks a suck of her nipple. She squeals with laughter. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to make more of a mess," he laughs as he moves over to the other nipple.

"I hope you don't think something's coming out of there," Liv laughs.

"Maybe someday it will," he chuckles. She slaps his back. He lines his body up with hers. "I need to feel you," he says softly.

"I want you to," Liv answers. He slowly enters her going in as deep as he can. She flinches. He pulls back a little. He starts to thrust into her as he fills up her inside. He taps her inside with a. She loves the view of his ass pumping into her. He goes in harder. He's grunting and she's moaning. Then all of a sudden she starts to laugh.

"What could possibly be funny right now?"

"Your ass needs some sun," she says laughing a little more.

He never stops his focus, "My ass is white. You knew that when you met me."

There is grunting from both of them, echoing the room, " I know but a little shade wouldn't hurt," she says as she scrapes his skin with her fingernails.

"Would you be quiet and let me shade your insides? My other superpower doesn't need a color," he stresses while the strain in his voice fevered by his deep dive inside her. She laughs and that laugh turns into hissing sounds of pleasure. The bed that was supposed to be squeak proof singing a tune of its own. They make love through the night, enjoying the face that they are back together. Making love with this man is something she's never experienced with anyone. The emotions and the feelings she experiences is something that fills her so completely. She can't imagine anyone else having her this way or love her this way, only him.

It's morning. Liv is lying in his arms looking at the sun peeking through the windows. She's been lying in his arms without movement for an hour just thinking and wondering. She loses her fingers in his fine chest hairs. What happened last night she's trying to push it away but it's lingering in her head and she let it get between their lovemaking and for that she's even angrier.

She just feels so vulnerable and open to the world right now, thanks to Jake's attack on her. She's safe. She's safe with Fitz but last night Jake never made her feel more unsafe. She gently places a kiss on Fitz's chest. Fitz begins to stir. He pulls her in tighter, "Was that a good morning kiss?" He asks.

She looks up at him, "Yes, good morning."

He can tell she's worried. He could tell she was fighting her thoughts last night but he's quickly learning she will talk more when she's not pushed. "You have been up staring out of that window for a long time."

She looks up at him, "You weren't asleep."

"Not the whole time," he said, lifting both up on the pillow. "You want to start telling me what's wrong?"

She's skating her fingers back and forth on his stomach, "No, I don't."

"Liv, I know something is wrong. I could tell something was wrong last night," Fitz says. "I know it has something to do with what Jake said."

"I am sorry about not last night. I could just hear Jake yelling it to the world in my head and I…"

Fitz takes his finger up to her lips, "Shhhh," he says.

"I want to explain to you. I felt like I had performance anxiety and I…"

"Listen, I love your lips on me but that's not the only thing I love about you and how we make love. I hate he got in your head. I hate that he embarrassed you. I hate that he treated you that way. But I will never be Jake. I will never ask you to get on your knees and make me feel good. I will never make you feel like a whore. When you get on your knees for me, it will be your choice. Last night was amazing. After four rounds and sharing four great orgasms with you last night was more than a success," he teases.

She laughs into his chest and kisses up to his face. "And now thanks to you I'm exhausted."

"It's a good exhaustion," he says as he kisses her head. He is rubbing her bare ass under the covers. "We could go for round five," he suggests.

"As much I would love that, we need to worry about something else," Liv says.

"Like what! We need to talk to Mellie," Liv says.

"Mellie," he says confused.

"I don't trust what Jake is going to do. He's mad. He wants to punish me. He wants to punish you. I don't want him to go to her and break the news of our relationship," Liv explains.

Fitz gets quiet. He lets out a breath, "I should have killed his ass instead."

"Fitz," she says.

"You are right. We need to talk to Mellie now. I am just not looking forward to it," Fitz answers.

"Neither am I but I rather she hears it from us. If she finds out any other way she's going to feel even more betrayed," Liv explained.

"We didn't betray her," Fitz says quickly.

"She's going to feel like we did that's why I don't want Jake, in his anger to tell her." Fitz, without an answer, picks up the phone and begins to punch in numbers. "What are you doing?" Liv asks.

"Asking my ex-wife to join us for lunch," he answers as he waits for Mellie to pick up the phone.

Mellie answers, "Hello Fitz," she answers. "Is there something wrong?"

He looks over at Liv, "No, nothing is wrong. I came back last night. I cut my trip a little short. Umm, I wanted to know if I can invite you to lunch.I know the kids are both at a friends house today."

There is a glimmer of hope in Mellie's eyes that she can't hide, "Lunch, I would love to."

"Great! I think there are some things we need to talk about. Very important to us and the kids," he explains.

She's giddy, "What time and where?"

"How about my penthouse?" Fitz suggests.

"That sounds great," Mellie says excitedly. "See you about 1," Mellie finishes.

"That sounds good," Fitz says as they hang up.

"You didn't tell her that I am coming," Liv notices.

"I just think I need to talk to her first and then once I tell her, you can join us.I just think if you are there when she gets there, she's gonna short circuit," Fits says getting up and sitting on the side of the bed. She meets him there at the side.

"That's a good idea. I know this is going to be rough" Liv says. I don't expect her to take this amicably. She might try to keep your kids away from you. If she does, I understand any decision you have to make," Liv answers.

Fitz looks at her. "What are you talking about?"

"In life we have to make hard decisions and I know how much your kids mean to you. So if she makes this hard and you have to choose your kids..I..," She has dropped her heads. She can't look at him. She is saying the words and she hates to hear them coming out of her mouth. She wants to be selfish but she could never do that.

"Look at me," Fitz says. She doesn't budge at first. "Look at me," he says again. His voice is so low and full of avidity. She looks up at him. "I am not going to try to be your therapist right now. I know what you mean. But I am not going to make this a fight. I am not going to let her make this a fight. I am not going to be pushed into choosing between my kids and you."

"Fitz, she's going to go after me too. I have to be prepared for her wrath and her hurt. Those are two powerful entities when working together. I have to be prepared for that," she explains.

"And we are going to get through it together. We are in this together. If she goes after you, I'll be right there. If she goes after me, I'll have to deal with that. I want a new start with you and I hope you want it with me," he pleads. His emotions are showing.

"Of course I want that," Liv answers.

"Then we are in this together then," Fitz concludes.

"We are in this together," she agrees.

"I know I said I wouldn't make demands of you but I would really like my back scrubbed by a beautiful woman," he announces.

'Is that so?" Liv blushes.

"And you are the only one in this room that fits the bill…," he grins shaking his head.

"You might get lucky," she smiles.

He gets up. He's stark naked. He stands in front of her, "Are you going to join me?" Liv is biting her lips and then licks them.

"I'll definitely join you," she says as she stands up and lets the sheet fall. She walks to the bathroom door, "Follow me," she finishes. They have a glorious scorching hot shower that is combined with their passion for each other and the steam they generate together and the steam the water provides. Today is going to be tough, they need this moment of reprieve before they face the storm that is the Ex to come.

Liv is sitting in her condo pacing. She's been doing that since he went upstairs to prepare lunch. She's so worried about Mellie. In reality, Mellie shouldn't feel like a woman scorned, she will feel that. She can't help but feel that in some way Mellie will be justified in those feelings, no matter what the truth is. The moment Fitz texts her, she has to go upstairs and face the music.

Liv calls Abby but she can't reach her. Her parents are at church. Her family is at church. She decides to call Elizabeth. She needs a shrink to shrink talk. She calls her number and Elizabeth answers.

"A Sunday..what's going on? I am not taking another one of your clients. The Grants were tough to take," Elizabeth laughs.

"No, this is a personal call," Liv says.

"Okay! I hope I can help," Elizabeth answers.

"I guess I needed someone to tell me that this thing I can't talk about is going to be alright. That everything is going to be fine," Liv says.

"I can tell you that but I don't know what the situation is. I feel like I would be lying to you if I said it will be fine because maybe it won't be fine."

Liv shakes her head, "I don't want to put you in the middle in case something happens."

"It sounds serious," Elizabeth answers. She's now worried that her colleague is in trouble.

"It might be serious. I don't know I just need to be prepared," Liv answers.

"At this very moment are you becoming my patient/client?" Elizabeth asks.

"I don't need my head examined Liz, I'm in love," she laughs.

"No, you might not need your head examined but in case you need patient confidentiality then being my patient is not the worst thing," Liz explains.

Liv laughs, "Fine! You are my therapist."

Mellie has arrived. Fitz has fixed something simple. He knows that hanging around with him after won't be something that Mellie will be interested in. He hopes he can keep her from breaking his dishes and yelling at the top of her lungs.

"What happened to your hand and your face?" Mellie asks.

"Nothing much! I had a bit of a fight last night," Ftiz answers. He figures it wouldn't make sense to lie about it.

"Was the other guy standing?" Mellie chuckles.

"No, he wasn't. I'm no Rocky Balboa but I did pretty good kicking his ass," Fitz laughs.

"Have you been icing it down. It looks painful." Then she studies him, "You've never been a guy to get into a fight. It must have been necessary."

"I'm a big boy. I can take it," he answers. He certainly doesn't want to tell her what the fight was about. "Yes, the fight is necessary."

"Okay!," she accepts the answers. She then eyes the table he's sat before them. "Cream of tomato soup and grilled cheese," Mellie says.

"Soup and sandwich! Perfect lunch combo," Fitz says.

"Definitely is," she says with a smile she's been carrying on her face since she walked in. She's looking at him. He's gorgeous and he's real and she's there with him. It's not like old times but she's willing to see where this goes. Only she won't like where this destination stops at all. "This is really nice Fitz."

"Thanks!," he answers.

"Sooooo," she says slowly.

"Sooooo," he repeats.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Me, you, and the kids," he says.

"Fitz," she grabs his hand. "I understand and I forgive you if you realized that what you made was a hasty decision and it was rash. I mean, now that we know where we went wrong in our first marriage. We will do it right the second time around," she says.

Fitz feels bad now. He's never wanted to give her false hope, but he feels like he has. "I made the right decision Mellie and I don't mean for that to hurt you."

She quickly moves her hand from him, "Oh," she utters. "Well I'm the world biggest fool."

"You aren't a fool Mellie but. I need you to understand I don't regret our marriage because it gave me our children. We don't belong together and you know that."

"Who is she?" Mellie asks.

"Who?" Fitz asks.

"The woman that has you seeing rainbows and new beginnings and everything else that brings that glow to your face," Mellie continues.

"She's very special to me," Fitz answers.

"You know I questioned the children," Mellie reveals.

"About what?"

"About you and who you were seeing," Mellie admits.

This makes Fitz furious. "If you had a question to ask me, ask me. Don't put our children in that position."

"Well, I wasn't sure you would tell me," Mellie defends raptly. "I even asked Olivia Pope to spy on you."

Fitz looks up at her shocked, "You did what?" He asks angrily. Liv forgot to mention that little people of information about the conversation that she and Mellie had.

"I asked her since she's in your building to tell me if she sees anything or you with anyone," Mellie says.

"Mellie, we made a promise that we would talk about the people in our lives until it was serious and for me, it's serious," Fitz says slowly.

Mellie studies him, "You act like you want to marry this person. We haven't been divorced that long."

"Sometimes you meet people and you know. You know that they are the one. You know that everything about your existence is wrapped up in that one person. I found that person and I'm not ashamed. I don't feel guilty about it. I feel guilty about how we met but we did what was right to be together," Fitz says.

"So you cheated on me," Mellie says.

"We didn't sleep together until recently. If you say I emotionally cheated on you then I did. I could talk to her. She talked to me. We had a connection that we couldn't deny. We couldn't act like it wasn't there but we did what was right," Fitz says.

She gets up from the table, "That's a load of shit."

Fitz can visually see her body change its composition and demeanor, " I am telling you the truth."

"I am supposed to believe you emotionally cheated on me but you two were able to fight your carnal desire," Mellie says snarkily.

"You can believe it or not but it's the truth. We didn't want to make it any more complicated than it already was and is," Fitz answers.

"I would love to meet the bitch who stole my husband," Mellie says as she turns to him.

"Okay," he answers as he gets up from the table moving the plates. He puts the plates in the sinks and takes a breath, staring at Mellie.

"I'm sorry! Am I supposed to be handling this better?" Mellie asks

"We are divorced. You have a life and I have mine. I expect you to respect that just as I am going to respect yours."

"When can I meet her?" Mellie asks, folding her arms tightly.

"I can call her now," Fitz says.

"Oh you had her on speed dial for this little lunch date. That was your plan all along," Mellie finally clues in what's happening.

"Yes, I did. I figured if I talked to you first and explained it all, it would be better. You deserve to hear it from me," Fitz explains.

"Call her," she says snippily.

"Not if this is going to turn into a shouting match," Fitz answers.

"I want to meet her," Mellie says.

Fitz takes a deep breath. He gets on his phone. Liv picks up. "Everything okay?" She asks.

"Yes! Can you come over?" Fitz says.

"Showtime huh."

"Showtime," he answers as they hang up.

Liv looks in the mirror. She straightens her hair. She makes sure her makeup is on point. She doesn't know why because Mellie has seen her many times. It's different this time, Mellie is seeing her as the woman that Fitz loves. The woman that will be around her children. Most of all, Mellie will see the woman her husband has chosen. That woman who Mellie will believe stole her husband. She gets off the elevator. She decides not to use her key. She's sure the temperature behind Fitz's door is hotter than hades.

She takes a breath and rings the doorbell, Fitz looks toward the door. "She's here," Fitz says.

"Well that was quick," Mellie answers. She's brutish in her behavior now.

Fitz goes to the door, opens and quickly closes the door behind him. Liv asks, "What's wrong?"

"She's Storm Mellie and she's mad. I just want you to know what we are walking into in there," Fitz says.

"We can't hide forever right," Liv says.

"No we can't," Fitz shakes his head. Liv grabs his hand tight. "Here we go."

"Here we go," he says as they go in and walk closer into view.

Mellie is waiting with her disapproving and angry eyes and her face is a fiery read. She looks in the direction of them as they come into view. She looks at Olivia. There is shock and disbelief. Her reaction is simple. "The Cupcake Lady," she says.

Both Liv and Fitz look at each other and back to Mellie. This is going to be fireworks and it's not even close to the 4th of July.

Explosive indeed!
