Things didn't go as Fitz wanted that night. His plan was to take Mellie to dinner and tell her what he knew. When he got home, Gerry was in excruciating pain. They brought him to the hospital to find out his leg was swollen and fluid had to be drained. It wasn't uncommon but it was scary just the same. The thought went out of the window in that moment to confront his wife about their son because at the end of the day that is who Gerry is to them, their son. Fitz decided to put it off to focus on his son's health, not fussing with his mother.

Fitz has been staying in the house now a month and it sickens him to even look at Mellie but he grits his teeth and holds it in. He has a date with Olivia tonight. They were finally able to schedule one. Admittingly, he felt a little guilt about planning dates and being away from Gerry so he's been physically keeping his distance but making sure they were in full contact. He knows that's hurting her too. He feels like he's being pulled in so many different directions. His mother has come over for a visit. They are sitting by the pool for some privacy.

"Son, you can't do this. You can't do this to yourself. It's not going to help anything," Corinne says.

"That's the problem. I don't know what to do."

"Staying in this house for the sake of the children doesn't help anything. I understand the intention but Mellie is grilling it in their head that it's so much better having you around again," Corinne says.

"But you don't know everything Mom," Fitz says.

"I know I don't. I know you Fitzgerald. I know you are a good man and you always try to do what's right. I know when you are hiding something from me and I gather it is pretty big, whatever it is," Corinne says.

Fitz looks off into the water, "Yeah it is big."

"What is it son?"

"I found out something a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying to figure out how to deal with it," Fitz dances around his words.

"Spit it out son. Your mother is not getting any younger," she tries to joke. She can tell that this needs some sort of comic relief.

Fitz looks around their surroundings. He looks at his mom, "Gerry is not my son."

Corinne looks at him, not believing what she hears at first. "What?"

"Gerry is not my son," Fitz repeats again.

His words finally sink in for Corinne. "What do you mean Gerry is not your son?"

"She cheated on me and got pregnant and made me believe that he was my son. I think I know who his father is," Fitz explains.

"You have to be joking Fitz."

"I wish I were joking. I wish to God that none of this were true but it is," Fitz gets up. His hands are in his pocket. It's a signature Grant move when they are frustrated or restraining themselves.

"She doesn't know I know. I haven't confronted her yet. I was going to do it the night I found out but that was the night we had to bring Gerry to the hospital and they were afraid he had blood clots but thank goodness, he didn't."

Corinne is still in disbelief. "That little bitch has been acting like the perfectly scorned wife when she did this."

"Mother," Fitz says surprised by her words.

"What? There is no other word for her but a bitch. That means she slept with two men, got pregnant and then word the bad of sanctimony to everyone, including you. When in reality, she should have been wearing the Scarlet A on her head," Corinne clarifies.

"That's not the worst part of this right now," Fitz starts.

"The hell it isn't. She let you raise that boy in a lie. She let him name him after you knowing there was a possibility that was a lie. That was unfair to you and to Gerry."

"I don't want him to know mom. At least not right now. It would break him. He's not old enough to keep that emotion in check. I don't know how to keep this emotion in check."

Corinne realizes she needs to set aside her anger right now for the sake of her son at this moment. She gets up and strokes his face. "I am so sorry son. I can't imagine what you must be feeling and how hard this must be for you."

Fitz shakes his head, "I feel like a bad father. The last two weeks I have been staring at my son and thinking he's not mine. I think about the fact that my blood doesn't run through his veins. And then I have moments I can't look at him and I look away. Then, I feel like a schmuck for feeling that way. Then I remember everything we've done together and how I've raised him and that good should outweigh the bad."

"Son, it should outweigh the bad. He is your son. He will always be my grandson. We have invested too much love in him to suddenly act like it has no validity," Corinne assures him.

At this moment, Mellie is looking through the window. She's dying to know what they are discussing. She knows better than to interrupt them. She sends the housekeeper out to let them know that lunch is served. Fitz informs her that they'll be in shortly. He looks at his mother, "I am scared mom."

"What are you scared of?" Corinne asks.

"I am afraid my head will rule my wounded heart and Gerry is going to pay because of that," He explains.

"You won't let that happen. You aren't that kind of man. Don't let Mellie take that relationship from you. Blood or no blood, that is your son and you love him and he loves you."

"But I don't want to lie to him," Fitz says.

"You will tell him when the time is right. It's not right now but when it is, you will," Corinne assures him.

"We better go in and have lunch," Fitz says looking toward Mellie staring through the window.

Corinne turns to see her, "I really want to slap her face. I want you to be the man I raised you to be but I never said I would use the same discretion."

"Mom, I don't want you to get into it with Mellie," Fitz laughs.

"You are my son and she hurt you and my grandson. She better go quietly or I will raise hell on her life and I don't think she wants that."

Fitz takes his mother by the hand, not being able to help but laugh. "Now I know why Pop married you."

"He didn't have a choice," she responds as they go inside the house.

Mellie is quick to pounce when they come in. "Mom, I had your favorite made. I know how much you love Broccoli and Cheese soup and we got chicken and club sandwiches."

Corinne tries her best not to roll her eyes, "Thank you Mellie."

"Grandma, can we go to American Girl store?" Karen joins in.

"As soon as that cast comes off your arm, that's our first stop," Corinne assures her.

Gerry rolls his eyes, "Another doll."

"Shut up Gerry," Karen says.

"You are brother and sister, don't be mean to each other," Mellie chastises. They both roll their eyes.

Fitz takes a breath. His mother knows this is hard. "So kids, I am going to take your mother out to dinner tonight. " Fitz says. He looks over at his mother, "Wondering if Grandma would like to keep you guys company tonight?"

Mellie's face has lit up. She didn't expect that to come from Fitz. Corinne finds humor in it all but she doesn't say it. She knows why he wants to have dinner. Mellie looks at Fitz, "You want to take me to dinner" she smiles.

"You've been cooped up in this house like the kids. Thought we would just have a nice friendly dinner," Fitz answers.

She is all smiles until she hears the words she doesn't want to hear, friendly, "It would be nice to get out of the house."

Karen cuts her off, "But daddy I want to go with you."

Gerry chimes in, "It's a grown up dinner silly."

Fitz looks at his very precocious daughter, "How about daddy takes you and Gerry out for dinner tomorrow?" He looks over at Gerry who is preoccupied with his game, "What do you think Gerry?"

"That's cool," Gerry answers.

"Can we go for pizza daddy?" Karen asks. Corinne smiles in delight at her son and his relationship with his children.

"Yes we can pizza," Fitz answers as Gerry rolls his eyes.

"Dad, will you go with me tomorrow to my doctor's appointment?" Gerry asks out of the clear blue.

The moment pains Fitz, the words pain him, "Of course! Let me move some things around at the office. What time is it for?"

"10:00am," Mellie pipes in. She looks at Gerry, "I'm sure there's no other place your dad would rather be."

Mellie begins to giggle. She thinks there's a family dynamic here. She looks over at Corinne, "Thanks so much Mom for staying tonight," Mellie says.

Corinne cringes inside at her calling her Mom. She wants to tell her to stop but she's gotta play it close to the vest. "As I said, I will take any excuse to be with my grandchildren. Maybe I'll get Grandpa to come over too. How about that?" She says, looking at Karen.

"Yes," Karen pumps her fist.

Fitz is finally breathing a sigh of relief. He needs to do this. It is starting to eat away at him. He can barely look at Mellie without wanting to hurt her. Mellie turns away for a moment and Fitz looks at his mother, mouthing, Thank You.

Liv and Harrison are on the phone. Her 1pm cancelled. The wedding preparations are in full swing for Harrison and Quinn. Fitz is supposed to be Liv's date for the wedding but with the way things are going, he won't make it. Harrison would have a 4th of July wedding.

"What do you mean you want to elope?" Liv says to Harrison.

"I do Sis. I mean our parents and her parents are driving us crazy. Everyone has a suggestion and everything we say is ignored."

"Welcome to Wedding Plans 101. The plans where the parents aren't getting married but they are," Liv laughs.

"Eloping would be easier," Harrison says.

"And your parents are going to kill you and so will Quinn's. Most parents dream of their children getting married and having a big affair. You are their only son so it's a big deal," Liv explains.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Harrison says.

"Well you will see what I mean when it comes time for you and Fitz. They'll be all over it," Harrison jokes.

"No they won't. We have both been married before, so the pomp and circumstance is not needed. All eyes on you big brother," Liv says.

"Please Mama gone want her only baby girl, who's marrying Prince Charming to show off in a wedding and you know it. And dad's gonna want to walk you down the aisle because you're his baby."

"Listen, when Fitz and I get married," she starts. She stopped. There's a smile that envelopes her face so quickly, her heart skips a beat. It's the first time she's ever said it so as a matter of fact. "When we get married it's going to be intimate, small, and perfect."

"Why can't I have that?" Harrison says.

"Because you can't," Liv laughs. "Now seriously. We haven't talked about this job Fitz offered you. I think you would be good Harry."

"I don't know if I want to leave DC. I mean I got 3 shops here doing pretty well. I like it. I don't know if I want to live in Chitown," Harry quips.

"You don't want to live near your sister. It's really great here and you can still keep your business," Liv explains.

"I know. I just need to think about it. I need to get through one thing at a time. Prince Charming said I had time to think about it. I promise you, I'm thinking about it," Harrison finishes.

"Good," Liv says.

"So did he officially ask the question yet," Harrison asks.

"What question?"

"Come on, Fitz. Has he proposed yet," Harrison says.

Liv starts to blush. She is definitely not telling her brother that Fitz 'proposed' and when. "No, he hasn't."

"I'm surprised because nothing is too good for you. He'd walk on broken glass for you if he could," Harrison points out.

Liv is blushing again, "Shut up."

"It's true Sis. He's got game when it comes to you. He loves you and I love that. As long as he treats my sister right, he's alright with me. But the moment you say I need to bust a cap in his ass I will."

She takes a breath. It's full transparency time. "I love him a lot Harrison. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am crazy but I really do love him."

"Awww, Livvie Poo is in love," Harrison torts.

"Shut up! You sound like Rochelle. She said the exact same thing," Liv laughs.

"That smile you have. That look you have in your eyes when you talk about him. It looks good on you. It really does," Harrison says.

Liv looks at her phone. It's Abby and she needs to take it. "I gotta go, it's Abby. I'll talk to you later. I love you."

"Love you too sis, bye."

Liv clicks over to Abby. "Abby what's up?"

"I have the best idea. I already talked it over with Sonja and she agrees. We need a weekend. Preferably, we need this weekend. It's been hell at work and I need to decompress," Abby says.

"Okay, so what are we doing?" Liv asks.

"We are going away to a spa for the weekend. What do you say?" Abby suggests.

"Sounds good. I could use a few days away. The married world has been hell this week. My patients have me exhausted," Liv laughs.

"I was thinking of Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. You know how we love that little town of Galena. Do a little shopping. We come back Sunday night."

"That sounds amazing. Let's do it," Liv agrees.

"I've already booked the rooms. I figured you say yes," Abby laughs. She pauses, "How is Fitz?" she asks.

"He's okay. He's been home once. After Gerry's little trip back to the hospital, he's been extra clingy to him. He's going through so many emotions right now. I try to get him to talk about it and give him space at the same time. I just…..I just can't believe she did this to him. I really can't."

"Has he confronted her yet?" Abby asks.

"No, he was going to do it that night but they had to bring Gerry to the hospital. It's eating away at him Abby and that's what I am afraid of. I don't know if he can take it. I really don't," Liv says.

"Well he says you are the best thing that ever happened to him. He just needs you I think," Abby says.

"He said that," Liv says surprisingly.

"Yes he said that," Abby smiles.

"Thanks Abby for everything. I know Fitz appreciate your help and discretion. I can't wait for this weekend. It's going to be amazing,"

"Okay talk to you later," Abby hangs up.

Liv sits back on her chair, soaking in her conversation with Harrison and Abby. They are both right, Fitz loves her so implicitly. It's so overwhelming. She pulls out her phone and decides to send him a text.

Liv: Hi!

Fitz: Hi! I was just thinking about you.

Liv: I was really thinking about you.

Fitz: I miss our sleepovers.

Liv: I miss our mornings. (She sends a winky face.)

Fitz: I miss you.

Liv (with a smile so bright): I miss you.

Fitz: I am going to tell her tonight. Tonight is the night.

Liv: Are you okay?

Fitz: I will be.

Liv: Call me after…..if you want.

Fitz: I want to do more than call you.

Liv: Everything is going to be okay.

Fitz: I love you very much Olivia.

Liv: I love you. Ugh, I have to go. My next appointment.

Fitz: Wait up for me.

Liv: I'll have the phone by my ear.

Fitz: That's what I like to hear. (He smiles as they end their conversation. Tonight's going to be hard but Fitz wants to get it in the open.

Liv gets a buzz from April, from the State Licensing Board is surprisingly there. Liv takes a breath. She feels like the eggshells are cracking under her feet. "Send him in."

Liv gets up to open the door and escort him in. "Hello Mr. Allen."

"Hello Dr. Pope," he says as he comes in as she ushers him to a seat. She sits back at her desk in front of him.

"Where are my manners?," Liv flusters. "Can I get you something to drink?" She asks as she stands up straightening her skirt.

"No, this is going to be quick," He says quickly.

"Oh, okay!," she says softly as she takes a seat.

"Listen Dr. Pope, I've done my interviews. I've talked to all important parties. And the board can only come to one decision on this matter," he starts.

"I understand," Olivia mutters.

"We believe that you did not participate in an inappropriate relationship with while he and his wife were under your care. By all we investigated, you tried to do the best possible thing given the situation as soon as you saw your care of the couple would be compromised. Thanks to Dr. North sharing her notes which coincide with your notes on the Grants, their marriage was not compromised by your care."

Liv takes a breath, closing her eyes in relief.

"But we will have to notate this in your record. I hope you understand that," he asks.

"Yes, I do. I understand," Liv concedes.

"By all accounts you are a great doctor, Dr. Pope. I understand that things happen. You are not the first person or doctor that this has happened to. You tried to handle it as professionally as you could and that will be notated as well," Mr. Allen says as he gets up.

"Thank you so much!," Liv says almost out of breath. "Thank you so much!"

He starts toward the door. "Good luck with your practice Dr. Pope and I hope things go well for you and ," he surprisingly adds.

"Thank you Mr. Allen," she says again as he shakes her hand and leaves.

April runs to the door as soon as he closes the door, "I don't mean to be nosey. I do but I don't. Is everything going to be okay?"

"Yes, I am cleared," Liv says.

"I am happy. You are great. I would hate to see you lose your hard work because of a bitchy shrew," April says.

Liv laughs, "Be kind!"

April laughs going back to her desk, "I hate whoever came up with that slogan."

Liv shakes her head, closing the door. She goes over to her desk. She finally feels like she can breathe again. She takes a moment to compose herself and then it hits her all at once. She begins to cry and it never seems to end. It hit her that she could be packing her desk right now and packing her dreams away. All her fear and anxiety came out in that moment of relief.

The drive to the restaurant was anything but a talkative one. Fitz remained quiet while Mellie seemingly talked a mile a minute. Now that they've actually been alone without the children, he is trying to keep his emotions in check. He wants to check blurt it out but he can't do that. They are seated inside the restaurant. Fitz had a nice off to the side table reserved for them. He wanted to stick to his original plan of keeping her in a public place.

"I am so happy you wanted to have dinner, away from the kids. Although it's been so great having you home," Mellie says.

"My home is the penthouse Mellie," Fitz answers.

"But hasn't this felt right, all of it. The accident was terrible and we could have lost so much but we didn't. This brought you back to our house, our home, and our family. Everything happens for a reason. I do believe that," she says as she winces from her neck pain as she patted the napkin across her lap.

Fitz takes a gulp, "That is so true. Everything definitely happens for a reason."

Mellie reaches for his hand, placing hers on his. "I was thinking. What if you moved back?"

"Mellie, I live in my own home. I have my own life now. Olivia and I are going to start building our life together," Fitz says moving his hand from under hers.

"You like throwing her in my face don't you. And you don't even have enough respect for me to not do it in front of the children," Mellie hisses.

"Excuse me," Fitz says, making sure not to get loud.

"I am their mother and you talk about your girlfriend in front of me as if I don't have feelings," Mellie continues.

"You really are something," Fitz says.

"Excuse me," she fights back.

"I've done nothing but respect you as their mother. I don't say anything against you to them or that's disrespectful to you. They like Olivia. I am going to marry Olivia. It is high time you start respecting that. And one way you are going to do that, is you stop trying to sabotage her work, her practice," Fitz says.

"Oh I am supposed to support the whore," she starts..

Fitz stops her sternly, "Be careful Mellie. Be very careful."

"I am not going to respect her. She didn't respect our marriage and neither did you," Mellie spits back at him.

"The same way you respected my marriage when you were sleeping with Richard," Fitz says.

Mellie's eyes grow wider than saucers, "What did you say?"

Before Fitz can answer, the waiter comes to the table. "Would you like to order dessert?"

"Not right now," Fitz says.

"Not right now," Mellie answers curtly. The waiter walks away, Mellie continues, "What are you talking about?" Fitz pulls out a piece of paper and slides it over to her. "What is this?"

"Read it and you tell me," Fitz answers.

She opens the piece of paper and begins to read. She realizes what it is. She looks at him. It's a mixture of shock, regret, and fear. "Fitz...I…"

"Reading this..I can only imagine what it means but I wanted to hear it from you first."

"You don't understand," she says caught.

"I understand that my wife was sleeping with her boss at the time and when you lost our baby you didn't know if it was his or mine," Fitz says.

"It was….How can I explain?" Mellie starts.

"We are divorced, Mellie but I don't really care. What I care about is this?" He starts as he slides another piece of paper to her. Mellie opens it, not understanding the words. "That's a piece of paper proving that my son is not my son. DNA never lies."

Mellie has a nervous laugh, "That can't be right Fitz. Of course Gerry is your son. Why wouldn't he be?"

The feign of innocence from Mellie is getting to him. "Maybe because my wife was the whore."

"Fitz," she says shocked. "The test must be wrong. Gerry is your son. Gerry is our son. I..yes I cheated on you with Richard. The first time I ever slept with Richard was because I wanted to make Associate."

"You wanted to sleep your way to the top," Fitz tries to understand.

"It was before I met you. Then we realized we were attracted to each other. It happened off and on but Gerry….Fitz I didn't know..I…"

Fitz shakes his head, "You were first in your class Mellie. You had the brain. You didn't need to make Associate that bad."

"It was the night of the holiday party you couldn't make. We got pretty drunk and we slept together. And then…"

"And then I came home that night and you were freshly showered. You were sprawled across our bed in a negligee and you were ever so hot for me that night. I remember. I remember thinking I was living the perfect life. My business was on the rise and I had the perfect wife to come home to. I remember and we made love. You said we had to and then you sucked my dick. Did you suck his just hours before?" Fitz asks, gritting his teeth.

Mellie drops her head, "Fitz...you have to understand."

"You slept with us both that night. You came home and put your mouth all over me after being with him," Fitz says and realizes their voice is starting to carry. "You slept with me to try and make sure we didn't come to this day, didn't you?" Fitz asks.

Mellie drops her head. "Fitz I didn't know. I honestly didn't know."

"But you know there was a chance it was possible. You knew that. And you let me live this lie all these years. What about Gerry? How do you think he will feel?"

Mellie's voice is shaky. "I didn't want to hurt either of you. I just wanted to forget it all. Our life was good. We can't tell Gerry this. He can't know."

"I will not lie to my son Mellie. Not the way you've lied to us. He deserves better and I deserved better than that."

"It will ruin our kids Fitz and you don't want to do that. I know you don't want to do that to us, to our son," Mellie pleads.

Fitz laughs. He bites his lip. "You already ruined things. The unit we have has been ruined already."

"How did you find out?" Mellie asks.

"Does that matter?" Fitz responds.

"You've been spying on me," Mellie says.

"Let's just say, your email made me think and I had to see if my hunch was right and it was," Fitz answers.

"How did you get my emails?" Mellie asks.

"You seem more upset I found out than what this will do to our family," Fitz says.

"We don't have a family. You walked out on us," Mellie spits as she realizes her voice is raising and she looks around.

"I walked out on something dead. Our marriage was dead the moment you slept with Richard that night and came home and slept with me. Don't try to make this about me leaving.I didn't walk out on my kids. I walked out on you."

"What are you going to do?" Mellie asks.

"For right now, I am not going to do anything. I agree with you, Gerry can't know this right now. He is already worried about hockey and if he will be able to play. He doesn't need to worry about the fact that he's Fitzgerald Thomas Grant IV and none of my blood runs through his veins," Fitz says with nothing but pain shadowing his face.

"Fitz...he is your son in all the ways that count. You've raised him. You love him, this mistake doesn't change that," Mellie starts.

Fitz sits back in his chair amazed at her unawareness, "You really have no idea what you've done Mellie. You honestly don't get what this all means," Fitz says.

Mellie is defeated, "I cried that night because I had done that to you and to us. I did love you Fitz. I do love you. I want you back."

"Did you forget I walked in on you and Richard? I find your declaration of love hard to believe," Fitz says.

She looks at him hopeful, "Would it matter if I proved to you that what I am saying is true? I want us back."

"No it wouldn't Mellie. My life is with Olivia now. I want a future with her. I want a family with her. I want to share the rest of my life with her. And you are not going to ruin that. You are going to let us live our lives. You are going to stop making Olivia life hell. I think throwing stones would be very hypocritical of you in light of recent developments. Don't you think?"

Mellie's pleading turns to defense, "Are you threatening me?"

"I am telling you to leave Olivia alone. I mean it."

"Do you even care that I'm sorry?" Mellie asks.

Fitz in that moment lays himself bare, "You want to talk about crying and about hurting. I cried the night I found out my son wasn't mine. You don't know what that feels like. Every time he calls me dad, I die inside. You don't know what I am going through Mellie," Fitz says.

Mellie tries to hold back her tears. She knows this is all beyond repair now. The waiter comes back, "Would you like the check?"

Fitz looks at him, "Yes, we are done."

Mellie knows that's meant for her as well, she echoes the sentiment, "Yes, we are done."

The ride back home was nothing short of eerie and quiet. Fitz kept his eyes on the rode and never looked in Mellie's direction. Mellie kept her hands to her face. The tears she held in the restaurant are now free flowing. The more Fitz thought about that time, the angrier he let himself become. They arrive at the house. They go in without a word spoken to each other. The house is quiet. The kids are asleep and his mom and dad are asleep.

Mellie starts toward the stairs, "We need to talk some need to give me a chance to explain."

"Not tonight. I don't trust myself," Fitz says as he goes up the stairs. She knows he's going to kiss the kids tonight. Minutes later he comes back down the stairs. He grabs his keys off the table.

"Are you going to her?" Mellie asks.

Fitz doesn't answer. He goes to the door, "I'll be back in the morning." He leaves out of the door and closes it.

Mellie knows in that moment there is no way to fix the mess she has created. She sits on the stairs and just stares into the darkness.

Liv is asleep in bed. The phone pressed to her face. She's fallen asleep after celebrating with a bottle of red wine after the news from the State Licensing Board. She couldn't wait to tell Fitz but she knew he needed to focus on dinner with Mellie. She had to celebrate alone but she was okay with it.

Fitz slowly steps into the room. The lights are still on. He surveys the room. Liv is knocked out. He smiles at the sight of the bed pressed against her face. He sees the empty bottle of wine. He pulls off his clothes, stripping down to his boxers. He slides into the bed softly, careful not to wake her. For a while he stays propped up on his elbow just stroking her hair. She is deep in her sleep. She turns and her body is drawn to Fitz's warmth. He engulfs her in his arms.

Groggily and moaning, "Fitz, am I dreaming?" she says as she is drifting back into sleep.

"You keep having the best dream beautiful. I'll be here," Fitz answers as he kisses the top of her head.

"I can't wait to marry you," she whispers, still asleep.

He can't help but laugh, "I can't wait to marry you either," he smiles as he falls into a deep sleep with the love of his life in his arms. This is exactly what he needed tonight. He just needed to be close to her. He just needed to hold her in his arms. In this moment he knows that everything is going to be okay.

It's the next morning. Fitz is fast asleep when he's jolted awake by Olivia's mouth on him. He looks down to see her head bobbing under the covers. For a moment he's stuck in his shock of her good morning wake up call. He grabs the covers.

"Liv," he says out of breath. "Baby…..," he moans.

"Mmmm," she says as she takes him in her mouth all the way. She licks up and down his length slowly as she sucks him hard and strong.

"Livvie," he utters. "Shit…," he screams.

She grips him tighter as she teases his tip with the flicker of her tongue. "Mmmm," she moans again. The sounds of her moan just turns him on more. He moves his hips. Olivia can feel him swelling in her mouth. He grabs her hair through the sheet. It feels so good. He can hardly hold it in.

"Right there baby. Right there," he urges as she picks up the speed of her lick. There are no words to fit the moment for Fitz except "Fuck...fuck...fuck…," he repeats and before he knows he explodes. She takes all of him. She kisses up his chest as she crawls the length of his beautiful naked body.

Her face appears, their noses are touching. "Good morning," she says.

Fitz is shaking his head, "That was one hell of a greeting," he laughs.

She lays on his chest with her chin pressed in, looking at him, "I wasn't dreaming last night. It was you."

"It was me," he says, reaching down kissing her temple. He traces her lips with his fingers, "I should stay away more often if that's the kind of greeting I get."

She slaps his chest, "Don't flatter yourself."

"I am not sure I can wake up any other way now," Fitz laughs.

"Don't go expecting it," she smiles.

"I will take any excuse to have your lips on me anywhere," Fitz says.

"Now you know how I feel about where I like your lips, all over me," Liv says as she beckons a kiss from him.

"Talk to me for a minute," Fitz says.

"Do we have to talk right now?" Liv laughs.

"Yes! What's up with a whole bottle of very expensive red wine?" Fitz asks.

"I was happy. The licensing board got back to me. They have closed the investigation. I'm in the clear but the incident will be noted in my record. I have never been so relieved in my life," Liv says.

Fitz pulls her body up to him, "Baby, that's the best news. I hate that this was even an issue but..."

"I just had to celebrate," Liv smiles.

"I am sorry I wasn't here to celebrate with you," Fitz kisses her again.

"You are here now. That's all that matters," she says as she places gentle kisses on his chest.

"I told Mellie that she had to drop this vendetta against you. I told her it had to stop," Fitz announces.

"How did it go with Mellie?" She asks as she brushes his curls back with her fingertips.

"She knew there was a chance and she let us live that lie. I don't know what else to say about it," Fitz says, sort of looking away.

Liv turns his chin back to her. "Fitz, it's okay to feel however you want to feel. It's okay to be mad, to be angry and to be hurt."

"I am mad. I am angry. I am hurt but I just don't want Gerry to get hurt. I don't want Gerry to suffer."

Liv sits up, "Let this news settle first Fitz. I am sure Mellie doesn't want Gerry to know and you don't want him to find out the wrong way. Don't make any decisions hastily because Gerry will suffer."

"He's my son Livvie. No matter what."

"Yes he is. And that's all you need to hold in your heart. That's it. He's your son and you love him and he loves you," Liv answers. He stares at her for a moment. He's just smiling. "What?"

"I just love you," Fitz says. "I don't know what I would do without you."

"I hope we never have to find that out," she smiles.

"I have an idea," he says as he tips her nose.

"What's that?" she says anxiously.

"I want to take you away this weekend. I need to get away from Mellie. I hate to leave the kids but I think they'll be okay for two days. I just need to spend more time with you and breathe," he says.

Liv's face drops, "Fitz," she says with a disappointed look.

"Why do you look like you are about to turn me down?" Fitz says.

"I promised Abby and Sonja I'd go away for the weekend with them today," Liv breaks the news.

Fitz throws his head back on the pillow, "Tell them you can't go."

"Fitz...come on. I promised Abby. I gave her my word. She's already booked the rooms. I'll feel bad." Fitz pouts, looking at her. "Don't guilt trip me. That's not fair."

"My whole body feels bad. I need a weekend to decompress with you in a room where we never leave the bed. And I need to…." He stops himself. He doesn't say what he wants to say next.

"And you need to know what?" She asks inquisitively.

He tries to wave it off. "How about we go away in two weeks?"

"What?," Liv laughs. "We can stay locked up in this room for a weekend. We can take the phone off the hook and only take a break for food and air," Liv suggests.

"Oh, I like that….but no. I want us to get away for a few days. Can you move some appointments around?" Fitz says.

"Yes, I can move some appointments around. Where are we going?"

Fitz starts to get out of the bed. "It's a surprise Dr. Pope."

"What are you up to Fitz?" Liv asks.

He looks down at his growing erection, "Right now I am up to a round of fun in the shower," he winks.

"You are shameless. Absolutely shameless," she blushes.

"We'll be waiting," he says as he goes toward her bathroom. It doesn't take her long to follow.

This is how it should always be for them. And Fitz wants to make sure Liv knows it.

It's been two weeks. Fitz is packing his bags for his getaway with Liv. He's also packing up to move back into the penthouse. He hasn't told Liv anything but what she should pack. She's taking the day off and they are flying down. Fitz has everything perfectly set for their weekend. Gerry's cast came off the day before. He's now wearing a leg brace. Karen's cast is going to stay for one more week. Everyone is thankfully on the mend. Fitz doesn't feel Mellie standing in the door.

"Can I come in?" Mellie asks.

"Not really but this is your house," Fitz says as he continues his pack.

"This is the family house. No matter what," Mellie spats.

"I am not going to argue vernacular with you Mellie. What do you want?"

She sits on the bed, "You can stay longer Fitz. The kids love having you here."

"The kids love being wherever I am. They love their rooms at the Penthouse too."

"Should you be going on some romantic getaway with everything going on?" Mellie asks.

Fitz chuckles, "I don't think I have to answer that. As we talked about, going forward every weekend, the kids are staying with me. Do not fight me on this."

"Karen asked me what was wrong and why you and I don't talk to each other and I told her we talk all the time. It's just that we want to hear everything they have to say.

"Did she understand that?" Fitz asks.

"I don't know but they know something is wrong Fitz," Mellie says.

"Something is wrong Mellie and I'm not going to pretend there isn't. I do what I need to do for my kids sake. I put on a happy face for them but I'm not going to gloss over this. This is not something you can gloss over and just say I'm sorry. You cheated on me and we have a big ramification because of it."

"I want to fix this," Mellie says.

"Can you go back in time and close your legs?" Fitz asks as he goes toward the door with two bags in his hands.

Mellie speaks up, "When you two flew back from DC, while we were still married. Did she keep her legs closed for you?"

Fitz is stunted by her words. How did she find that out? "Excuse me," Fitz answers.

"You are high and mighty and you want to punish me for my sins but you were in fact sleeping with her."

Fitz turns, he doesn't know that Gerry is at the end of the hall and can hear. "I never lied to you. Olivia and I never consummated our relationship until our divorces were final. I can look you in the eye and say that. Can you look me in the eye and say you never cheated on me? There's a living and breathing answer that says otherwise. I'll call the kids in the morning," Fitz says as he closes the door roughly. Gerry moves out of sight as fast as his leg will let him.

Mellie knows he's telling the truth and it burns her to know she doesn't haven't any leverage to hold over his head. Her sins are her own and she knows it.

Liv and Fitz are on the private plane, snuggled into each other. She's anxious to know where this secret location is but Fitz won't budge. She knows it's not far away from Chicago because he wanted to be close enough to get back to the kids if something happened. But she knows it's far enough away to feel like a vacation.

"Can I know now where we are going now? You won't let me look out of the window," Liv laughs.

"In a few minutes, little miss impatient," he says, reaching down to kiss her.

"I am so glad we are doing this. I think we needed some uninterrupted time together. We haven't had enough of it," Liv says.

"No, we haven't. And I wanted to thank you," Fitz starts to explain.

"Thank me for what," Liv asks.

"For being so understanding these last 6 weeks."

"Hey I knew your story before I got involved with you. I told you, I love what kind of father you are. It's very sexy and very attractive," she says kissing his neck.

The pilot comes over the loudspeaker. "Mr. Grant, we will begin our descent into Niagara Falls in just a few moments."

Liv looks over at Fitz, "Niagara Falls," Liv says in amazement.

"Yes! We have a hotel that looks directly at the Falls. Just you and me and beautiful nature," Fitz explains.

"What are we going to do all weekend?" Liv says coyly.

"I have plans for you," He answers, laying a long kiss on her.

Oh boy! Gerry heard something. It's all out in the open. What's going to happen in Niagara Falls?
